Name:Akio Ohtori Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Akio is suave, seductive, and incredibly self-serving. He is very manipulative and has no compunctions about doing whatever he needs to in order to achieve his goals. He isn't unnecessarily cruel or violent... he relies more on his amazing charisma to get the job done. He is the stallion equivalent of a womanizer and collects lovers the way that others collect shells. He rarely meets a mare that he doesn't try to woo, even if it's more out of habit than anything else. He is also very thoughtful and sometimes brooding. There are things that he wishes he could change about himself and his life, and he won't stop trying until he has. Very quietly, he mourns his own loss of innocence and idealism.
History: Akio went by another name as a young stallion and in those days he was the perfect picture of a fairytale prince. He saved mares in distressed and galloped around the countryside looking for people to help. He did this along with his sister, who he cared about intensely. People loved and adored him but hated his sister.
A rumor went around that his sister was a witch and that rumor eventually grew into a hateful panic. One day Akio was wounded and exhausted from one of his rescue missions and a mob of these soquili found him and his sister. They demanded that Akio rise up and help them, but his sister knew that Akio would be in danger of dying if he did such a thing. She went to the mob and told them to leave Akio alone... but they weren't happy with that. They said it was her witchcraft that had left Akio so wounded and that whipped them into a great fury. As Akio lay there gasping for breath, the mob called his sister a witch and killed her.
Seeing his sister die like that destroyed the youthful idealism that had driven his life and Akio fell from his previous state of grace and nobility. He became selfish and self-serving then, only playing the part of a prince in order to get closer to the people he wanted to manipulate. His journey into adulthood left him too scarred to truly care for anyone other than himself.

Name:Alaina Gender: Female Stage: Adult Personality: Like her father, Alaina is the strong and silent type. Name:Aleemah Gender: Female Personality: Overall, Aleemah is a very calm and precise mare. Her mother made it a point to begin at a very young age to explain to Aleemah the importance of her life, as a bridge between the protector and the protected.
As daughter to the ambassador, Aleemah had shadowed her mother closely. Learning the traditions, teachings, and ways of her people. She understood that it was their responsibility to protect the gryphs from any outside harm. She learned the tactics needed to fight and protect, though she preferred a more docile approach if possible.
Aleemah was not one to easily anger. Her inner energies were at piece with one another, she understood that combined the Gryphs and 'Suti would be more powerful than they would be on an individual level. She hoped that one day she would be able to reconnect the two species and work a new contract between the leaders and their followers.
Most days, Aleemah could be found in areas near the ambassador, quietly soaking up all knowledge that one could impart on her. While a social creature, she was not loud and boisterous like some. She socialized to learn, to teach.

Name:Amitabha Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Amitabha has a quiet and still. He is quiet and still when he is happy, sad, angry, or any other emotion. True to the tenements of his philosophy of life, he tries to remain dispassionate and detached within the variations of his moods. For the most part, he manages this very well. Seeing Amitabha emotional is a rare sight indeed.
There are two drives that motivate Amitabha. The first is compassion. He longs to see a world without suffering and wishes to help the suffering of all those he sees. The second drive, however, is one that Amitabha would never admit to, one that he would never even consider existing within himself. The combination of these qualities are what have made Amitabha the way he is... motivated, isolated, and subtle. History: When Amitabha's parents died Amitabha had already passed out of childhood into adulthood. Still, it was a sad event for him in an otherwise sheltered and peaceful life. They left him with the message to seek out his sisters, Vara and Misaki, and to tell them of what had befallen their parents.
On Amitabha's long and arduous journey to find his lost siblings he was torn from his sheltered life. He found himself surrounded by unfamiliar soquili, soquili whose lives were torn apart by one variety of suffering or another. Helpless compassion filled him at each plight but Amitabha didn't know of any way to help the many tragic cases that encountered.
Eventually though, a philosophy and a plan began to form in Amitabha's mind. It was as if a veil had been removed from his eyes. Amitabha saw clearly the suffering in the world and saw clearly his place and what he could do to bring about some amount of salvation. Amitabha would take this philosophy and turn it into a quest. On his way to find his lost sisters he would try to save as many poor souls as he could.
He decided he was the one who was going to save them... save them and lead them into a new and wonderful pureland of life....
Name:Aquilina Gender: Female Personality: Aquilina is daring, competitive, and proud. She very much wants to be well respected and attempts to uphold both her appearance and reputation to this end. She told Black Prince and his brother Green Prince that their father, the King, would come to find them some day... that this would be their kingdom in the swamp. Black Prince took this and became obsessed. He became convinced that he and his brother were the princes of the swamp.

While he was doing this, her mother was trying to raise her into a vision of femininity. Name:Charlbury Chase Gender: Female Personality: Charlbury is the third youngest of the cheshire sisters, but still has a lot of youthful rambunctiousness to her personality. Sometimes she resents them for this, though she has acclimated well to their new digs. In a lot of ways, she has alway been equal part cat and horse. She enjoys scratching her claws against trees or very large mushrooms, knocking tea cups off tables, and smelling what everyone else is eating. Though she is not particularly large for a soquili, the humans whose laps she sits in might tell you otherwise. Another catlike habit that she took to is hunting. She'll chase a feather, but she'd much rather chase a bird. She's proud to carry her catches back to her sisters to eat. She is rarely seen without her deck of cards. She can do every card trick in the book and a few more that she invented herself. She likes to convince people to bet on her card tricks. This is a bad idea. Name:Constantine Gender: Male Personality: Constantine grew up not knowing his father and to listen to his mother. He was raised to be proper, majestic and dignified. His mother taught him to hold his head high, take proud confident steps and to chew with his mouth closed. When he was a foal, acts of improperness were seen as 'children will be children'. In his mother's eyes, Constantine grew into a fine young stallion. She trusts him to take adventures on his own, encourages him to charm a pretty mare in which he will love forever, and one day have kids of his own.

Name:Dardanos Gender: Male Personality: Dardanos is a hunter and a loner. He can sometimes tolerate other purewalkers briefly, but even then he will attack them the moment he feels he has the advantage. Most of his time he spends hunting. He hunts for food, but mostly he hunts for fun. When his prey is lucky he'll kill it quickly. When it's not, he'll torment them until his bloodlust is satiated. He is sometimes angry, with the rage that consumes all skinwalkers, but often he is simply cold. It would be a mistake to think that he is any more merciful when he is calm, a mistake that many have died making...
Name:Darius Mattius Cullen Gender: Male Personality: Darius is suave and good with words. He is at ease in a crowd, but also on his own. He automatically acts charming with those that he meets. He isn't insincere, but his easy allure has sometimes led soquili to the wrong conclusions. He loves his family and herdmates deeply and tells himself that he would give his life for them, though he hopes he'll never have to do it.
Name:Delacroix Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Once Delacroix was debonair. He was flirty, outgoing, brave, and confident. He still is like that when his mood is up and there is nothing to remind him that he should be otherwise. However, since his mate died he has had a hard time maintaining his previous disposition. Now his previous personality is riddled through with uncertainty, guilt, and fearfulness. While on a good day he can act almost as he did before the traumatic event, on a bad day he can be so badly shaken that he can barely function. History: Delacroix came from a long family line of warrior unicorns. Though it was debatable whether they always fought on the side of "good," they were an honest and honorable herd. As a foal, Delacroix was uncertain about whether being a warrior was really his calling, but he slowly grew into his position as a warrior and eventually even came to have enthusiasm for it as well. He was very talented from a young age and was considered one of the brightest hopes for the future of the herd. He won the love of a pretty unicorn mare and was infatuated with her in return. For a while, he seemed to be living the ideal life.
Then... the kalonas came. It was a group of mixed-blood kalonas who had obviously formed something of a gang. They spotted Delacroix but more importantly, they spotted his mate. One night when Delacroix and his mate were away from the herd the kalona gang attacked, determined to take Delacroix's mate for their own nefarious purposes. Delacroix valiantly fought back, though he was gravely outnumbered. He was able to do enough damage to the kalonas to keep them back for long enough for his mate to run for help from the rest of the herd. Unfortunately, Delacroix was very badly injured in the process.
The herd, being all unicorns, was able to heal his body to full recovery. His mind was harder to heal. He couldn't forget the pain and humiliation he received from the kalona gang, even if he had been "victorious" in that he had prevented them from taking his mate. His dreams became nightmares. Nightmares became flashbacks that crippled his fighting abilities. Though he was obviously having problems, his family, his herd, and his mate were there to support him. For a while, it seemed like he might be recovering. Then the kalonas returned.
Again, the kalona gang waited until it was only Delacroix and his mate alone in the dark forest. Again they attacked with the intent to take Delacroix's mate. This time, though, Delacroix was not prepared. From the moment he saw them he was gripped with such powerful shock and fear that he was unable to defend against them. He watched in frozen motionlessness as his mate was dragged away screaming. After that, it was simple for the kalonas to beat him even closer to death than they had the last time. Again, his herd was able to revive heal him with their combined healing magic. This time, though, he was revived not as a hero but as a failure.
Crippled and shocked by grief, trauma, and guilt, Delacroix fled his herd to lands where no one would know of his shame. He still mourns for the mate that was torn away from him... and he still fears the day that her captors might somehow find him again.

Name:Diantha Gender: Female Personality: As a foal, Diantha took her mother's teachings to heart. This can make her prickly, but mostly she's just awkward and eager to avoid lengthy social encounters.

His adopted mother still cares for his father despite that, and he sees a sign of society turning a blind eye to the sins of others.
He thinks that there cannot be consciousness without sin, and that the only pure creatures are the ones who cannot think, the unawakened animals of the world. He has isolated himself away from soquili, humans, and familiars because of these thoughts. He lives in a secluded area, and protects it as an animal sanctuary. Though he won't even admit it to himself, he protects and cares for the animals as a way of atoning for the sins of his father. He is jaded, and yet very naive in many ways.

Name:Elaenyra Draculesti Gender: Female Personality: Elaenyra is sweet and charming... and also an incurable sociopath. She doesn't understand why she can't bite and hurt the soquili around her, and is prone outbursts of anguished frustration when she is kept from them. She wants to be protected and cherished, but at the same time wants to be allowed to hurt everyone she wants to. She can be charming one moment and biting her conversational partner the next. Her erratic moods are prone to change without warning.

Name:Faaria Gender: Female Stage: Adult Personality: Faaria is kind but serious. She's very focused on her job as ambassador, sometimes to the exclusion of everything else. She harbors a deep sadness in her from the disappearance of her beloved mate and throws herself into her work as a way of avoiding that. She loves her daughter dearly but sometimes is too involved in her work to be as attentive as she perhaps should be. She gets antsy and frustrated easily when she has too little to do and has somewhat forgotten what it means to relax.
Due to her mate's disappearance, Faaria has developed a slight overprotective streak where her daughter is concerned. She sees a lot of Aleemah's father in her eager willingness to help others and worries that one day it might lead her into danger just like it did for him. Because of this, she steers Aleemah away from situations she deems dangerous, sometimes deliberately and sometimes subconsciously. She has been happy to encourage Aleemah's interest in her job as an ambassador, because she can then keep an eye on her and make sure she is out of harm's way. History: Faaria wasn't nearly so involved in alliance politics before her lifemate, Ghani, disappeared. He led a group of warriors to defeat an extremist group within the alliance. Though his heroism was recounted by all that were present, somewhere in that battle he disappeared and has never been seen since. That was what awakened Faaria to the knowledge that their society was imperfect and that it was the responsibility of all of those within it to uphold it.
She started her work in the alliance as a way to see that a tragedy like that wouldn't happen again. She wanted to save others the pain of knowing that their mate or family member was killed by members of their very own society. She usually keeps the deep personal aspects of her work to herself, but she is guided by these emotional reasons whether she publicly admits it or not.

Ever since his parents were killed by his skinwalker daughter he has carried a heavy sadness with him, though he does not let it interfere with his duties. History: Hayagriva began life as a relatively carefree fellow, though his kalona bloodline gave him a bit of a brooding streak. As a young adult he met a mare called Ayanna and before he knew it they had a batch of foals. He loved his children dearly, though one of his children was fostered to a childless mare that he was friends with. When it appeared that child died, Haya became deeply enraged at the mare who had cared for her and deeply depressed. As his children grew he noticed kalona traits springing up in them which made him hate his bloodline and the "curse" he gave to his children. It wasn't until he joined the Padmapani herd that he began to recover a sense of self. In the Padmapani herd he distinguished himself my training his herdmates in combat that ended up saving lives when a kalona attacked. His success was met with the position of Protector Heir in the herd. He ascended to elderdom along with accepting his new position and continues to protect the Padmapani herd with strength and wisdom. Recently, his second daughter Samsara was turned into a skinwalker. The loss of his last daughter drove Haya back into great sadness and he has had to drive her away from the herd several times since. She wants to kill him badly, and he mourns for his lost children.
Name:Hermes Gender: Male Personality: Hermes has lived among humans for most of his life. Because of this, he sometimes has a hard time connecting with other soquili. He is quiet and a little shy around them, tending to assume that he is more socially awkward than he actually is. Because of this, he has experienced a deep mysticism with birds for all of his life. He believes that in some way he was imbued with the spirit of a raven while he was still in his basket. She is desperately lonely but is so used to this emotion that she hardly notices it anymore. She is repulsed by associating herself in any way with the rest of the Draculestis so tries to ignore her occasional blood cravings, but sometimes when her will is weak she'll seek out a willing stallion or mare to be her blood donor for the night.
Name:Kakumei Tenjou Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Kakumei was raised by his parents to be a prince. They wanted him to be strong, noble, and altruistic. In many ways he appears to be so, but the truth is that it's all an act. He plays the part of the prince because he knows its expected of him but he's actually a bit of a misanthrope. Name:Karma Gender: Male Stage: Adult Offspring: Nirvana and ----- Personality: Karma is dispassionate, quiet, and distant. Only the most pressing of circumstances can make him any shade of emotional as his stoicism is too strong for him to react to much anything else. Though he is unemotional he isn't uncaring. Karma feels compassion for the people he meets and befriends but in a subtle and quiet manner.
Karma greatly enjoys knowing how the world works as his detached nature makes understanding some parts very difficult. Since he doesn't understand why many soquili act the way they do he'll patiently listen to them talk for a long time while he tries to decipher them.

Though he looks for shock and reproach from his family with his behavior, he doesn't like to think that he is actually hurting anyone and he is quick to feel guilty and try to right matters when he thinks that he may have hurt one of their feelings. He cares deeply for his family... he just likes to pretend that he is above that. History:Malchediel was born when his mother, Sengdroma was currently estranged from his father, Maion. When Maion and Seng first met back together they fought, and Malchediel was never quite able to forget his anger at watching his mother attacked. While he doesn't hate his father, he has had a hard time connecting and fully trusting him since. This, combined with being the only one amongst his siblings not born an angeni, has both kept him distant from his father and incited his rebellious nature.
Malchediel is one of the primary heirs to the Miakoda herd. This also is a source of some conflict in his personality. He knows that some day he is expected to rise to the occasion and become a leader in his herd but he isn't certain that he is suited to the task.

Name:Mauhur Gender: Male Personality: Mauhur tends to be a more animal-like purewalker. He spends most of his time, whether it be hunting or sleeping, in his owl form and only is in the habit of using his soquili form when he needs to fight. He lives in an isolated area, not deliberately interacting with soquili of any type. Though he doesn't go out of his way to hunt down soquili, he is utterly unforgiving when another soquili enters his territory. If he senses an intruder, he'll attack without warning or mercy until the interloper is either dead or in a wounded and hasty retreat. Because of how little he interacts with other soquili, he has fallen out of the habit of talking and rarely speaks to those he attacks.
Name:Mercuria Gender: Female Stage: Adult Personality: Mercuria is in many ways hollow and empty. It takes a lot to provoke an emotional response in her and any feelings she has tend to be muted. She is apathetic about most things and most soquili. She does have fondness for her family and is slightly more open around them, but not by much. Occasionally true feelings bloom through her, but it is a very rare case.

Since she puts all of herself into her work, she has a tough time dealing with lazy soquil. She is mistrustful of the more exotic soq breeds, but grows much more comfortable with them once she gets to know them.

Even when she is hurt, she stays strong and remembers what is most important to her.

Name:Mittrei Meaning: Part of the scientific name of the comet moth Gender: Female Personality: Mittrei is irreverent with a strong sense of humor and irony that often is at the expense of someone else. To those other than her family she can seem arrogant and self centered with a sharp tongue. Her sense of superiority tends to keep her emotionally distant from other soquili but she is capable of caring deeply for someone she feels is worthwhile.... not that achieving that status is an easy task. While she enjoys and guards her privacy she also gets bored after being alone for too long and will then seek out company. History: Mittrei was born upon an island to a herd of soquili with butterfly-like markings. She was born the one flutter from a long line of normals, an awakening of a bloodline that had long been dormant. As the one flutter in a herd of butterfly-patterned soquili she was treated like a princess and lacked for nothing as she was growing up.
The older she got the more the constant attention chafed. When skinwalkers began to harass the island the attention she was receiving combined with the fear and uncertainty from the skinwalker became more than she could stand. Mittrei boldly and dangerously left the island for the mainland and became established there. She discovered that more of her family made the trip to the mainland and enjoyed their company. She mostly lives alone but it is out of preference.
Recently, she bred with the stallion Obeah. He wooed her into thinking that she was his princess but when the baskets came he stole one and disappeared. Mittrei was torn apart by this betrayal and when the baskets hatched, the foals were a constant reminder of her shame. Not being able to bear it any longer, she eventually abandoned them and went on with her life pretending they had never existed.
Name:Mornidian Gender: Female Personality: Mornidian is one of the smartest soquili some will ever meet... and often the last. She clawed her way out of the Demon Tree after growing bored of the hells below. She wanted to explore a new world and embark on a journey of discovery... in a nightmarish manner, of course. She is fascinated by the varieties of life and culture in the upper world and wants to learn all that she can about them... through vivisection, torture, and pain. Her lair is decorated with anatomical sketches she makes with her claws, and the bones of the beasts she cut open to study.
She is fairly small and not actually a powerful fighter compared to many of her race. She instead has to live and kill using her wits, which she has in abundance. She tends to be very dry and mocking. She is utterly brilliant, and just as deranged.

Name:The Other Gender: Male Personality: The Other hates all things with warm blood in their veins. He has always lived in the cold and ice and his heart could be said to be made of the same material. He mercilessly attempts to kill anything with heat that enters his territory. However, he is no mindless beast. He is dangerous yes, but part of that danger comes from his conniving nature. He is fond of setting up traps and ambushes. Though he is rarely seen parted from his twin brother, he still is hardly what one would consider affectionate. He perhaps has some fondness for White Walker, but mostly keeps him around for his kindred nature.
Name:Padmasambhava Gender: Female Personality: Padma is an emotional mare. She is prone to bouts of bitter jealousy that leave her unsociable and unfriendly to others. She enjoys the company of other soquili but has a hard time not being judgmental of their faults. She tends to assume that others are just as judgmental as she is and, as a result, she spends much time in insecure self-evaluation. These insecurities sometimes cause her to behave arrogantly to attempt to hide them. When she isn't caught up in her own inner workings she can be a very charismatic mare, but oftentimes it is one of her other traits that shows more dominantly.

Name:Rhaegar Targaryen Gender: Male Personality: There is a melancholy to Rhaegar and a sense of doom. This was true before the death of his father and is especially true after. His smiles are a very rare and fleeting occurrence. He tends to be introverted and depressed, only taking real solace in his quest to destroy Oyohusa and sometimes in his singing. He has lost so many people that he cares about that he avoids forming attachments. He still mourns for his dead children and love, and doesn't see an end to that sadness. History: Rhaegar is the eldest son of the former king of the herds of Westeros. His father was once a tolerable ruler, occasionally with bouts of instability but still generally effective and respected. That changed when he was cursed, becoming a skinwalker and completely losing himself to sadism. The realm did not tolerate his rule for long and quickly rebelled, determined to cleanse the realm both of the skinwalker and of the rest of his "tainted" family.
Rhaegar lost almost everyone he held dear in that war. He lost his parents, his wife, his two children, and his lover. The only family he had left were his two very young siblings, Viserys and Daenerys. Severely wounded and defeated, he fled Westeros with his brother and sister, finding temporary safe haven with some allies untouched by battle. He stayed there for a year, enduring a long physical and mental recovery. At the end of that year he decided to move on... but move on without Viserys and Daenerys.

Name:Rusalka Gender: Female Personality: Rusalka is very furtive and introverted. She spent most of her life alone and only recently has kept regular company, with her mate Syri. She loves him dearly and is very devoted to him, but still has little interest in others. She'll be polite and even try to be gracious with guests, but still always prefers to be alone with Syri. She is most comfortable in the swamps and can get melancholy and homesick when away for too long.
Name: Sabishii Namae Gender: Male Personality: Sabishii grew up blind, only gaining his eyesight when he sold himself into the service of the corrupted and evil Rezo the Red in exchange for healing. He doesn't enjoy this servitude, and doesn't agree with the dark ideals that the Mazoku embody. Bitter and angry with himself at his lost integrity, he reluctantly does his duties and little more. He eagerly awaits the day when he will be released from service, and trudges on until then.

He tends to be quiet fellow and doesn't feel the need to be in constant company.

Name:Samsara Gender: Female Stage: Adult Personality: Samsara is vengeful and cruel. She can be very subtle and manipulative of soquili to try to warp them, but sometimes her cravings for violence overwhelm her subtly and she simply attacks. To other skinwalker and likewise evil soquili she is wary, but willing and able to use them for her own ends as well. With her strong vindictive streak and her ability to bend other soquili to reach her goal, she is a force to be reckoned with. Her lust for pain and destruction is insatiable, and the world suffers for it. History: Samsara grew up in a loving family, even under the shadow of the kalona blood that came from her father's side. She was growing up a normal, if a bit shy, filly when she met her sister for the first time. Adour had grown up away from the family and, unlike Samsara and her siblings, had learned to hunt. Though Samsara was initially repulsed by the idea of eating meat her sister slowly wore away her reservations and eventually managed to get Samsara to take her first taste.
That first bite of meat seemed to awaken in Samsara feelings and cravings that she had never before acknowledged. Though she was still morally opposed to the eating of meat she began to indulge herself from time to time when her willpower wore thin. These slip-ups began to haunt Samsara and drew her away from her family and most of the rest of soquili-kind.
One dark night she was discovered preying upon an animal and cursed to be a skinwalker. Her old timidity vanished and she finally accepted her bloodlust. Her father Hayagriva rejected her when he saw her transformed and this incited a powerful grudge within her. From then on, Samsara made it her personal goal to make Haya's life miserable and to tear down everything he stood for.

Name:Scythe Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Scythe was born from the first clutch of baskets since the death of the herd leaders during the Mahapadma's attack on Padmapani. He bears the name of one of the herd's beloved leaders who died, and every day he feels the weight of the responsibility that naming gives him. He strives to do his best for the herd and to honor the trust and hope that his herdmates have placed in him. He is honest and dependable with a serious personality that borders on stick in the mud levels. He might not be very approachable or fun loving, but he is loyal to the herd and has devoted his life to preserving it.
Name:Serghei Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Serghei is the dangerous and hugely loyal butler type. He serves Vlad with all of his heart and would gladly die for him on command. He tends to have a wry way of looking at things and often will come up with a clever quip to match a situation. He is very intelligent, an intelligence that can turn to cunning when necessary. Like many of those associated with the Draculesti family, Serghei does have a very dangerous and somewhat vicious side, though this rarely surfaces aside from when he is protecting his master. He is also very fond of standing completely still and trying to make others believe he is a statue. He finds this rather amusing. History: Serghei has served the Draculesti family as a servant for as long as he can remember. He suspects that his parents were killed by the Draculestis and himself taken as a servant as a very young foal, but he remembers nothing. In the daytime he served as a guardian of the sleeping Draculestis and at night he fed them with his own blood. He didn't have many choices about his lifestyle and wasn't always entirely at peace with it, but he feared he would be killed if he attempted to leave.
Eventually, Vlad came to his family and took Serghei as his own personal servant. Serghei was so impressed by Vlad's strength of character and will to overcome the evil nature of his family that he became intensely loyal to the angeni-kalona. He served happily at Vlad's side for years and followed him to the kawani lands as soon as he realized that is where his master had left to.

Name:Shrivatsa Gender: Female Stage: Adult Personality: Shrivatsa is dark humored and moody. She has a hard time making friends and spends most of her time away from other soquili. She loves the rush of stealing from others and even somewhat enjoys the trouble it gets her into when she's caught. While an adult, she has never let go of a lot of the naivety from foalhood.

Name:Sulo Gender: Male Personality: Sulo tries to be the ideal harpy stallion. He is obedient and dutiful. He tries to please the mares around him, though his unassuming manner rarely attracts more than glancing attention. He doesn't think very highly of himself, not thinking that he has any special traits or abilities that would make him a very attractive mate. He has dabbled at music, dancing, and crafting, but hasn't yet found his passion. He wants to be noticed and cared for, he just hasn't figured out how to get there yet.
Name:Svanbjorn Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Svanbjorn is very prideful of his kalona blood. He acts as if he were full kalona and gets very angry at anyone who points out his mixed heritage. He considers all non-kalona to be inferior to him and treats them as such. There are a select few that pass beyond these filters. Even with his haughty personality, he does make and keep some friends. He is inwardly slightly embarrassed to keep such "lowly company," but he is very loyal to them nonetheless.
Name:Syri Gender: Male Personality: Syri is a quiet and gentle soul. He is an utter pacifist and probably wouldn't be able to lift a hoof against another creature even to defend himself. He tries to remain loyal to the kirin ways, and practices meditation and pressure points. Though quiet, he enjoys to be in the company of others. He is kind and understanding, though sometimes has problems with asserting himself or making himself heard over a more boisterous companion.
Name:Tythoss Gender: Male Personality: Tythoss is wicked to the core. He is a snarky sadist and will only sometimes cover his disgust when he senses something heart-warming is occurring. He very much isn't someone to be trusted. His motives are generally not what they appear, and even his loyalty to his family and the Mazoku cause isn't set in stone. He doesn't betray those that currently fit with his life plan... but that can change in an instant. He is cunning and calculating, and only truly looking out for himself.

Name:Unenlagia Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Unenlagia is conniving and vicious. He has all the instincts and drive of a predator but frustration with his lack of the physical features necessary to truly indulge his urges. These days, he gets around this by associating with a dark herd of similarly-minded soquili. He might not be able to tear down an enemy himself, but together with his herdmates they can achieve their true potential. He is generally considered their leader while Samsara isn't around.
Outdated personality bits: He gets around this with his human rider. She is his fangs and claws and together they hunt... often seeking other soquili as prey. Unenlagia is deeply loyal and affectionate to his rider, a sentiment that doesn't extend to any other soquili. He loves her as if she were a soquili herself and would protect her with his life if necessary. Unenlagia tends to be a loner among his own kind. He doesn't feel similar or connected to other soquili. Though inwardly he might feel somewhat lonely, his habit of hunting down his own kind limits his interactions he can have with them.

Name:Utena Tenjou Gender: Female Stage: Adult Personality: Utena is a very noble soquili. As a result from a meeting in her past, she strives to live her life according to "princely" ideals. This means that she'll readily help other soquili in distress with a special knack for mares being troubled by stallions and in need of rescue. Aside from her idealism, Utena is also very laid back about most issues. If she doesn't consider something a major concern to herself or to those around her she won't bother being worried about it. This can sometimes be a disadvantage for her, as she may ignore something that turns out to be a bigger issue than she thought. History: Utena endured a terrible tragedy as a foal. During a storm, a group of kalonas attacked her family. Her parents bid her to run and she tore away as fast as she could while they were killed behind her. In her haste to be away she toppled into a storm-flooded stream, a mistake that was almost fatal. After almost drowning she awoke on the bank with a strange stallion standing over her. Utena remembers little of the stallion except his regal bearing and kind smile. He told her many things that slipped out of her hazy mind but one of them stuck with her for the rest of her life. "Keep living your life with strength and nobility and we'll meet again one day."
With those words firmly ingrained in her mind, Utena took to emulating her "prince." She began to wear clothes similar to the ones she could vaguely recall him wearing. That was also when she started calling herself a prince and embarking on her journey to not only act like a prince but to find her own. She hopes one day to meet the prince that saved her... though she can remember so little about him she isn't certain that day will ever come.

Name:Uzumaki Gender: Male Personality: Uzumaki is obsessed and haunted by spirals. He searches for spirals and their beauty in all things. He rejoices when he is able to feel closer to the spiral and let himself be enveloped by its mysterious majesty. He loves spirals on soquili, but sometimes finds a soquili that he thinks "is a spiral," even though they have no spiral markings. These are soquili that draw others to them, like a spiral draws the eye to the center. Uzumaki's madness is as dangerous as it is strange. He has killed before, and twisted the remains of his victims into spiral shapes. He wants the world to join him in the spiral... even if he has to destroy the world to bring it there. He is as twisted as the shape that he worships, and should be treated with caution.
Name:Vajrayana Gender: Male Personality: Vajrayana is suave and well-spoken, but actually fairly self-centered and insincere. He isn't able to recognize this aspect of himself, even when others might bring it up. He thinks that he means well, and thinks that his grudges are justified. He even does try to do the right thing, but what he considers to be the right thing in a given situation may not always be correct. He has never had real adversity and has rarely spent any time outside the Padmapani herd. He is still immature in many ways, and untested by the world.

Name: Verity Gender: Female Personality: Verity has been through a lot in life. These trials have not lessened her convictions to do good, but have given her perspective. She is more flexible than some angeni and realizes that good and evil are not black and white attributes. She is naturally serious and controlled, expressing her feelings in quiet ways rather than dramatic ones. She holds herself to a high level of personal responsibility. Sometimes this causes her a lot of frustration, when she feels forced to pick up tasks abandoned by others near her.
Name:Viserys Targaryen Gender: Male Personality: Petty and small-minded, Viserys believes that he is the grandest soquili you'll ever meet. He is fond of reminding people of his royal heritage, even though his bloodline means little when he has no power to back it up. In his heart, Viserys knows this and that insecurity drives him to lash out at the world, making him a sometimes cruel and often unpredictable soquili. He has some kindness and other softer emotions left in him, but years of bitterness have buried them.

Name:Vladislav Draculesti Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Vlad's personality is rather complex and resulting from his many years of life and many differing circumstances therein. Vlad is prideful and smug. He has a suave and smooth haughtiness that comes off as seductive self-possession as opposed to abrasive arrogance. He loves attention and admiration but cannot tolerate disrespect aside from the people he trusts and considers his friends. Though his appearance may suggest otherwise Vlad is not only not evil but he is actually very socially minded when a situation is dire. He won't stick his neck out to help a soquili having a bad day, but if that same soquili's life is at stake Vlad will leap to the rescue. Though he enjoys the attention heroic deeds provoke he is still less comfortable with being loved rather than feared. He tends to trivialize his own good deeds in exchange for heightening his more frightening habits and features in an either intentional or subconscious effort to bring himself back to what he is more comfortable with, being feared.
Vlad is a very emotional soquili. He sometimes falls prey to vicious mood swings. He can be energetic and outgoing one day to be despairing and practically suicidal the next. This tendency towards fierce emotion carries through to his affections too. Those that Vlad takes as his friends or family he will protect even in the face of great personal injury. That said, it isn't always easy to be Vlad's friend. In his fits of anger he will lash out at those around him heedless of their feelings, though he might regret it later. All in all he is very emotional and prone to outbursts, whether those outbursts are positive or negative.
History: See plot thread! Vlad was once a proud member of a vicious family of kalonas, the Draculesti family. He enjoyed this hedonistic lifestyle until one day he pushed his luck too far and was captured by the very humans he had been terrorizing. They kept him in captivity for many years and drove him nearly insane before he managed to escape. Ironically, as soon as he had escaped he was captured again by a herd of soquili. Over time, he grew to obsess about and then even love the alpha mare of the herd that had captured him in something that was stockholm's syndrome turned into romance. Eventually when he had proven his loyalty to her, she formally freed him and took him on as her mate. They lived blissfully together for some time until his lifemate died of sickness. Broken hearted and anguished, Vlad boarded a boat to return to his homeland of Romania, not knowing that the boat he had boarded was headed for America instead! He ended up stranded in America and has been seeking to restablish himself there ever since.

Name:Valkyrie Gender: Female Personality: Valkyrie is very sharp and driven. Due to her isolation and intense combat training as a filly, she's a warrior to the core. She's as fierce a warrior and defender that the Flock could ask for... but these traits came with a price. What she has in fighting prowess she lacks in social skills. She has a very hard time interacting with her fellow sisters of the Flock in a casual setting and is even worse with the males. Though she is of a higher social caste than they are, she is actually a little shy around them. She has barely had any interaction with males in her life and doesn't really know how to carry herself around them.
With both males and females, Valkyrie usually comes off as harsh and gruff upon meeting. She considers a bad temper to be one of the traits she inherited from her skinwalker father, and as such does not try to change her behavior. It's also a way for her to keep her emotional distance from others. Emotional closeness makes her uncomfortable, but there are a special few that she opens up to.

The rules of mazoku are simple: You do not love, You do not feel compassion. You live off the suffering of others and seek the destruction of the world itself. Xellas embodies these ideals and is a powerful lord among them. She cunningly seeks more power for herself in her every move and ruthlessly kills or unseats those that seek to block her. She is very prideful, not immune to flattery, and takes offenses in a very personal and dangerous manner. She is rational and does not seek out conflict when it is unnecessary, but her definition of "necessary" is somewhat open-ended.

Occasionally though, he snaps and a truly sadistic monster emerges.
Name:Xellra Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Xellra is full of desire to prove himself to be a demon worthy of the mazoku bloodline he is part of. He's not always as mean as he pretends to be, but it's safer to assume that he is. He might secretly harbor fondness for some soquili, but it doesn't happen often. He doesn't have his father's subtlety and mostly charges into things head-first.

She is dedicated to the healing arts, but never connects to the ones that she helps.

Name:Zamiel Gender: Male Personality: Zamiel is a hunter. It's more of a compulsion than an ambition, and he becomes restless quickly if he isn't following a trail. His obsession makes him a loner and he finds little joy in the company of others. He's growling and unfriendly to most soquili he meets, though he doesn't hurt them unless he has a reason to. However, sometimes when no other prey can satisfy him, he declares a hunt on a soquili target. He'll pursue this target relentlessly and without rest until he either kills them, loses them, or is driven away. He really isn't a happy soquili, though he does derive grim satisfaction from a successful pursuit.
Name:Zenoskelis Gender: Male Personality: Zenoskelis is a sophisticated devil. He hates losing and so carefully picks his missions. He's not as strong a fighter as other family members, but he makes up for it by being as smooth-talking as the best of them. He has a very low opinion of most soquili who are not himself, and doesn't hesitate to show it. While he certainly isn't a kind soquili, he's much less volatile and violence-prone than his relatives.

Name:Zulian Gender: Male Stage: Adult Personality: Zulian is erratic and dangerous. He gets fixated on an idea and won't let go of that idea until he's seen it through. He's not always immediately violent towards other soquili but can turn violent at the drop of a hat. he talks a lot and often in bizarre rambles, as if he isn't aware of what he's saying. One should never take his bizarre actions for indications of a slow mind, however. Beneath his erratic nature lies a sharp intelligence and all the craftiness of the tiger that is his skinwalker form. History: Zulian came from the land of Azeroth. There, he was trained as a warhorse. It took years of brutality and confinement to bend his will to the will of his master but in the end Zulian served his rider Thekal with a manic loyalty. Together they fought in wars and reigned terror... that is until Zulian "lost" Thekal and ended up in the kawani lands. Zulian can't quite remember what happened to Thekal or how he arrived in the kawani lands. He doesn't know why he can't remember and this frustrates him greatly. He now looks for Thekal obsessively and is convinced that he will find him and serve him again someday.
