But yeah, if you haven't seen Mobile Suit Gundam (the original) I'd say start with that. smile

LOL. I was Heero Yuy fangirl in my day too. My good friend was a Duo fangirl, so no major competition.

I'm quite nostalgic now, Wing was how I discovered the world of anime fandom, although Rurouni Kenshin is what made me the obsessed fan.

Wing really was an amazing series (it got me into the world of anime fandom too). I've re-watched it a few times, and each viewing leaves me more impressed. Gundam series in general are well planned out and thought provoking. I think that's the reason I enjoy them so much.

I suggest Gundam Wing first, since it has a good formula.

then MS Team.

G Gundam was good, too...and good for a Gundam deficiency.

And I suggest greatly Gundam 00, my favorite one, since they used the Gundam Wing formula and made it better.

Gundam 00 season 2 is coming out this october. I'm so excited!

and I was a Duo fan...now I'm a Lockon Stratos fan. ><

I guess I'm the only person bothered by all the computer animation in Gundam 00... I prefer (in no particular order):

Mobile Suit Gundam (1979)
Gundam 0083 (1991)
Gundam 0080 (1989)
G Gundam (1994)
Zeta Gundam (1985)

and I'm interested in Gundam Wing (1995) and Victory Gundam (1993).

The computer animation in 00 bothered me at first (I'm not a fan of it in any anime), but it blends better than in several other series I've seen, so I guess I just got used to it. What bothered me more was how similar it was to Gundam Wing at first. However, now that I've seen the entire first season, that similarity has dissipated and I'm quite happy with how the series is turning out.

I suppose I would suggest watching Gundam Wing first because it is so unlike the rest of the Gundams.

Me, I'm a huge fan of Gundam Wing (Herro and Duo fangirl!) and MS Team. The other one didn't pique my interest as much.

I like 08th MS Team and Gundam Wing isn't bad, either. I can't watch the really old stuff though... It's the animation. I just can't bring myself to sit through it. Char's Counterattack was cool, though.

Not watching the older shows? Then you're missing out on the best years of the series IMO. O_O
