Is The Lord of the Rings a dead Movie?

I think these are one of the few movies that are just as good as teh book...honestly....I read LoTR...and let me tell you. If you watch the extended dvd's it's like "I read that!" i love those movies. The actors were perfect...i don't know how they could've done a better job!?

i'm super exicted for the hobbit , even though guillermo del toro is directing it instead of peter jackson . i guess at least peter jackson is producing the film, its better than nothing! XD

Is it official that Del Toro will be directing The Hobbit? That would be epic win as long as he can keep it more in line with Pan's Labyrinth than Hellboy II.

I think it's official. I completely agree. Pan's Labyrinth was more artsy, which is what a fantasy movie needs. 3nodding

They are the best trilogy ever, and by far the best adapted movies that I have ever seen. I can't wait for The Hobbit to come out! domokun

Well the books aren't dead. I'm reading them now, and when I'm finished, I'll watch the trilogy again, so the films are still alive.
