Now that I understand, I think it's part of their Gaian economic plan. I know my 'feeds' keep showing that Angelic Halos are periodically sold for 10 million, and Red Rose Corsages for 17 million. I'm pretty darn sure they are releasing a halo and a corsage every week partially to keep their prices down and it also takes a nice chunk of gold out of circulation! Why else would the prices be consistently the same week to week?
With the aquariums giving out some nice prizes, they risk putting that gold right back in the system. When they give out something like Fairy Wings, the price goes to half the Buy price of the shops, and people just sell them back. When they give out a Rare Event, they drive the price of those down. It's an interesting balancing act.

Well. Let's see.
I've gotten, several nice items. mostly they were on my main account though.
But I've gotten, at least two fairy wings, and at least two pink magical giftboxes. The rest of the items aren't really worth mentioning, but I do often get gold amounts close to 500.
