I'm really looking forward to seeing "The Watchmen"
I read the book over winter break and now I'm super psyched to see how it's done on the big screen.

Saw it...awesome movie. Were things that were cut from the GN which annoyed me, but I still loved it, and cannot wait until directors cut.

I saw the movie tonight!
It wasn't as epic as I thought it would be, judging by the trailer alone.
Can you say unnecessary nekkidness?
The music, was so ironic and hilarious. whee

The nudity was not unnecessary, it obviously differentiated the character of Dr. Manhattan from the rest of mankind, just as it did in the comic book. It was massively important from a visual standpoint!
As for the music being ironic and hilarious, I'm not sure what is meant by that? I mean, the use of Dylan in the opening montage was ironic, but not funny as I saw it. I thought it was wonderfully done too, probably one of the best bits that deviated from the source material. The Hendrix and Simon & Garfunkel were hardly ironic, however, and I thought they fitted very well with the feel of the film. In fact, the songs used in the film were generally fantastic, only that horrendous cover of Desolation Row at the end seemed at odds with it.

All that said, the major deviations from the original and at times the sticking all-too close to the original source hampered the film, as did the lack of real depth; there was too much fighting and none of the analysis of its demand.

I was actually disappointed. It was so edgy it felt like swallowing razor blades. Normally I like comic-book movies, but I guess this one hit too close to home. **shudder**

It was okay.I mean, when it comes to comic movies, it was the best I've seen, or rather one of the best. Dark knight still takes the cake for me.

But it wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be.
