"Talise! Flamethrower!"
"RaaaIII!"
"Tooohh!"
SPEED: Talise goes first!
FLAMETHROWER: 38! Hit!
Burn Chance: 25! Miss!
DAMAGE: 84!
RAICHU: HP: 65/149!
The fox pokemon reared back and spewed a stream of flame at its opponent, engulfing it in searing heat. The raichu cried out, but regained its composure as it unleashed its own attack!
THUNDERBOLT: 99! Hit! Crit (x2)!
Paralysis Chance: 20! Talise is paralyzed (Speed down, May fail to attack)!
DAMAGE: 60x2=120!
Talise: HP: 19/139 PAR!
The ferocity of the electric type's attack nearly caused Talise to faint on the spot! "Oh no! Talise! Hang in there, girl!" Exor's fire pokemon struggled to remain standing, nearly overcome by the voltage wracking its form. Smoke rose from the pokemon as she gave a weak cry.
"You'd better hang it up, man - Raichu's got this one in the bag! Finish her off - Thunderbolt!"
"I'm sorry, Talise. You did good, but I've gotta get you outta there! Osidon! Do it to it!" Exor pointed the ninetales' pokeball at her, the ray of red light covering the weakened creature and converting her into energy that was recovered by the capsule. In the same motion, he threw another pokeball onto the field; the flash of white dimmed to reveal the massive rock snake, onix.
"Rai rai-CHUUU!"
THUNDERBOLT: GROUND IMMUNE to ELECTRIC attacks!
Another torrent of electrical power burst forth from the opponent's pokemon, but Osidon hardly noticed it was being attacked at all.
"Osidon! Crush that raichu! Earthquake!"
"Uh! Fine! If you want to play it that way! Raichu, return! Go, Venusaur!"
"What! Jeeze, what is it today?"
As the two pokemon switched out, the huge rock pokemon slammed the ground, creating a powerful earthquake beneath the heavy grass/poison type.
EARTHQUAKE: 19! Hit!
DAMAGE: 53!
VENUSAUR: HP: 105/158!
"Venusaur! I want that onix dead! Solar beam!"
"VeeenaSAUR!"
SOLAR BEAM: 1ST TURN STORE ENERGY!
The seed pokemon began to gather energy, focusing the sun's rays into a gathered mass of energy!
"No! Osidon! Get down under it! Dig!"
"Grooh!"
DIG: 1st TURN DIG A HOLE!
The onix burrowed into the ground, shaking the earth as it tunneled through below!
"Venusaur! Blast through the ground! Get that snake!"
SOLAR BEAM: 66! Hit? 38! Miss!
The adversary's pokemon unleashed the beam toward what it thought was the source of the tremors. The sun's focused energy ripped through the earth, but it did not strike its target.
DIG: 8! Miss!
The solar beam's destruction forced Osidon above ground across the field.
"Let's see you dodge this one! Razor leaf!"
"Osidon, get out! Aurora! Go for it!"
The kirlia at his side nodded and dashed out in front of the retreating onix. She glared at the approaching attack.
RAZOR LEAF: 33! Hit!
DAMAGE: 52!
Aurora: HP: 77/129
The storm of razor-sharp leaves slashed at Aurora. Although she braced herself, the pokemon took major damage, dark blood dripping from numerous cuts. She shook in pain before looking up at the enemy.
"Get that thing, Venusaur! Take it down!"
TAKE DOWN: 22! Miss!
The larger pokemon barreled toward the elegant kirlia. The smaller pokemon spun out of the way with the grace of a pirouette.
That's it, Aurora! Now, make sure he doesn't hit you again! Double team!
DOUBLE TEAM: EVASION up 1 STAGE (150%)
Aurora nodded in response to her master's psychic command. When the venusaur turned around to face its opponent, it saw three kirlia before it.
"Alright venusaur! Charge up your solar beam - we'll get all of them in one blast!"
SOLAR BEAM: 1ST TURN STORE ENERGY!
The seed pokemon began to focus the sun's energy into a mass of searing energy!
Again, Aurora!
DOUBLE TEAM: EVASION up 1 STAGE (200%)
As everyone looked on, the number of psychic pokemon on the field nearly doubled as they wove in and out of their pattern.
"Now! Fire!"
SOLAR BEAM: 32! Hit!
DAMAGE: 65!
Aurora: HP: 12/129!
The plant pokemon unleashed the power of the sun upon its foes! A shriek pierced through the sound of the solar beam as Aurora yelped out in pain! As the glare faded, the group of kirlia were smoldering on their knees in unison.
"Aurora, no...! Alright, enough of this! Put him down!"
The psychic pokemon nodded to their trainer.
HYPNOSIS: 90! CRIT (+1)!
STATUS: SLEEP: 3 (+1)!
VENUSAUR: HP: 105/158 SLP 4!
The kirlia forced themselves to their feet and gazed at the gloating venusaur. They began to move in a pattern, slightly swaying with every move. The kirlia's movements and subtle psychic suggestions held the plant pokemon completely entraptured.
"Alright venusaur! Just one more! Razor leaf!"
VENUSAUR: HP: 105/158 SLP 3!
"Venusaur! What are you waiting for?"
Exor smiled as the true Aurora looked back at him. Make the beast pay...! She nodded to him and fell back into rank.
DREAM EATER: 22! Hit!
DAMAGE: 139! Aurora regained 70HP!
VENUSAUR: 0(-34)/158 HP FNT (21% OVERKILL)!
Aurora: 82/129 HP!
The kirlia all stopped with perfect precision and glared up at the enemy with their eyes aglow with contempt. The venusaur cried out in terror and agony and its eyes flew open with pure fear within them as its energy was drained from it and absorbed by the psychic pokemon. The venusaur reared up on its hind legs and fell over onto its side.
Exor applauded his pokemon's efforts, "Way to go, Aurora! I knew you could do it!" The psychic pokemon all turned to him with smiles and began to dance in the middle of the broken field.
"Venusaur!? NO! Come back!" The other trainer grit his teeth and cursed. "I'll show that thing! Raichu! Finish off those pokemon with your slam!"
SLAM: 4! Miss!
The opponent's pokeball released the electric type in the middle of the group of kirlia. It immediately tackled one of the psychics, but passed right through it and hit the ground. It got to its feet and lunged at several other copies, again and again winding up in the dirt.
You've got him! Take him out!
PSYCHIC: 45! Hit!
DAMAGE: 72!
RAICHU: 0(-7)/149 FNT (5% OVERKILL)!
The raichu's attack left it at the feet of another kirlia. It looked up with a scowl at the psychic pokemon, but its expression gave way to shock and fear as Aurora let loose with a psychic attack empowered by her trainer's emotion. The blast proved to be too much for the electric type; it fainted from the strain kirlia's blast put on it.
"Raichu, you, too? What the hell is that thing, man!?" The other trainer recalled his pokemon. "I'm not fightin that thing anymore...!"
