The weird witch/seer lady who sends the hero and his team on a 10 quest sub plot in which none of the quest's are actually related and you receive useless items such as the seer's laundry or something this also takes up about half of the game and has nothing to do with the real plot.  

[Ravenwolf]

A cool, aloof mercenary who acts as a kind of rival throughout the game, sort of in the Pokémon sense in that you fight him every now and then throughout the game, but he's not a bad guy. He differs with your party on morals, but is trying to do the right thing in his own way. He also has an annoying stalker that does things like plant heart-shaped stickers on him, much to the party's amusement.

A "friendly" monster that throws things at you if you attack him, but gives you an item needed for an extremely obscure sidequest if you do everything juuuuust right.

Hrm, lets see.

You're the right hand man of the bad guy. In reality, you have your own personal motives and are only sticking by him/her since he/she's got the most power. You like to give the heroes s**t throughout their conquest and show up at the worst possible times to beat them up. In the end, you leave the evil dude realizing he's going to be defeated, and start following your own plans.
