[~+~] I like both, but if i had to choose? Big dogs. :3
I've grown up with the same type (lurchers - a cross between a greyhound and another pedigree dog) which are large dogs generally. From my experience, small dogs tend to be yappier and you trip over them more. ;>_>

I enjoy both types, though smaller ones, while usually quite yappy, I'm not afraid will turn against me and devour me. D:
Also, I'm extraordinarily jumpy and jittery, so the vociferous barks of larger breeds startle me. :O

I prefer larger dogs, just because most of the time, they seem to be much calmer than small dogs. I grew up with small dogs and all they really seemed to do was yip, bite, and just act awful.
Plus, I want to use a Great Dane as a horse one day.

i like big dogs. they are really good at protecting your home and intimidating bad people. they also are less yappy and annoying. they are easier to reach in order to pet, and they are really cuddly. they make you feel more safe when you are home alone. they are more fun to walk and are good to exercise with. they make you want to exercise more so you stay more fit overall. in my opinion there are also more cute big dogs. they also make a good cuddle buddy/pillow without hurting them. i have always loved big dogs.

I prefer small dogs like the Pekingese, poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, and Corgies.
I HATE Jack Russel Terriers with a passion though. Ugh, yappy and useless dogs. Doesn't that they're ugly. D=
I prefer smaller breeds because i own a Pekingese and virtually stay alone all day. He's my constant companion and when i take spells of Sleep Paralyrsis he's the first one to comfort me once the hallucinations and ability to move are back to me. He's even made me realize when i'm going to sleep if i'll have an SP episode.

♦ ♣ ♥ ♠
I prefer large dogs.
My experience with small dogs is that they're yappy, and I don't like yappy dogs. I know it's not true of all of them, just true in my experiences.
All of our best pets have been big dogs- German Shepherds, Border Collie mixes, Lab mixes.... Right now we have a Shepherd/Chow mix and she's just wonderful. We also have a Shepherd/Border Collie mix and a Black Lab mix that are wonderful.
We have an American Eskimo that is FAR from awesome. She's the most irritating little dog I've ever seen.
Our neighbors have small Poodles ans Bijons, that yap yap yap constantly.

My dog's a small little Shih Tzu, and since I got him in back in 2008 I've grown accustomed to smaller dogs. Big dogs are okay too, my boyfriend has a Golden Retriever and I love him. :3
EDIT: I mean the dog. -.-'

I like both, but I prefer big dogs. I like the feeling of cuddling something big and fluffy at night, but really, I don't know why I like them more. I just do. It comes more naturally for me to like big dogs than smaller ones. And I also grew up with a Golden Retriever since I was a baby, and lost him two years ago, so I guess I can't really move on.
