Well first I'm making a corseted top in a light catching material, and covering it in broken pieces of that plastic sheeting they use for flourescent lighting and coloring it with glass paint (or clear nail polish) adn then using puffy paint around the pieces. That will be the bodice, and then I'm making a skirt of layered tulle in multiple colours then putting an overlay of black netting.
Then lots of colorful eye make up or, a mask to match my dress.

And I'm going to build a light frame type thing at a collar so it looks like I'm in a frame. It's going to be difficult but worth it...

About my costume...

I'm having a hard time with the dress, can anyone help me?
-I'm not allowed to wear strapless dresses, so I'll have to add straps. Any tips/tutorials?
-Is there any way(besides actually burying it) that I could make it look like I have been wearing the dress for however long, underground? How would I make the dress look old and dirty?
-What about me?

Straps are easy, here's a tutotial for with good directions on straps:

For making it dirty, spray paint. If you use brown spray paint, and use it from a distance, it takes the appearence of dirt. (if you can't use spray paint, try diluted brown dye in a spray bottle.)

Other wise--like if you have lighter colored dress--use a tea bath. This will cause it to looke aged.

First start by using a foundation that's about two shades lighter that your skintone, then get a dark powdered foundation two shades darker.

Apply the lighter foundation to your face, then take the darker powder and apply it to the cheeks (make a fishy face when you do this to make sure goes on the right place.

Then get eyeshadow--in dark purples and blues, and apply to the upper and lower lids, to get that sunken look.

And if you want to look like you've been in the ground get a dark brown blush and lightly dust it over your face with a powder brush.

Until now, I've never done much of either.
I really want to get into clothing design and modelling, but I can't sew at all.
I can draw, come up with, and ear clothes, and apparently I'm good at makeup, but that's it XD

My sister are trying to start our own little line...but sewing isn't hard. I started out with things like clothing recon. But you totally should do design, I've seen some of your outfits you have a great flair for style.
