Personality: Ming is a withdrawn and distant soul. She keeps her thoughts to herself,
deep inside. Her one true self is one of emptiness, silence and inner peace. She in content
in what she is and what she grows to be each new night. She has taken on many new
masks through the years she has walked the path, each of them as varying as the next,
but all of them have left her with lasting memories and lasting pain. She wear the scars of
her past lives on her soul, as well as on her heart, the beating organ rotten, withered to
next to nothing aside from the ever darkening void that lives with the core of her very being.
Back story: In life, Ming Xi was the wife of a powerful Chinese emperor. She
well versed in the martial arts as well as the art of blades. She was a warrior in her
own right and her husband's personal bodyguard. She bore him many children,
most of which did not live to see the end of their first year of life. The pain of these losses
left Ming bitter and cold, she was without the love of a child and as war loomed before
her, she threw herself fully into her training. It was only when the hordes stormed the
palace and Ming fell at their hand protecting her king was it brought to light that the
young queen had once more been pregnant. She was cast into death carrying the
forming body of her would be child and the knowledge burned inside her. It was that
pain, the knowledge that her foolishness had lead to yet another death that brought
her back, she yearning for the love she had lost so many times before.
Her first few
masks after earning her place among the Hollow Reeds were as a mother, she
trying to once again capture the feeling of love that he had lost. She never truly
finding that joy again, but learning through each new mask that nothing was permanent,
and though love may feel good to start, it always left you in pain in the end.
Even though her lives were led as a mother, never, even now has she dared to carry a
child again, the fears of death and loss still plaguing her with each new night. Her
nightmares of the life she had left behind never letting her give fully to the experience.
The men, and women, she had brought into her life were always those that had lost a
lover, a wife and mother, she would replace that lost soul, bring things to right.

Personality: Modron is perhaps the most like her mother out of the twins.
She is sweet and innocent, always the first to flash her large gold eyes at unsuspecting
faes. She knows how to get her way, and enjoys doing so.
Now this is not to say that this little goddess does not have all the darkness of
her father, she has been known to go into tantrums and crying fits to get her
way, which can, and often does, translate into a hot and fiery temper, as hot
as all the hellfire the world can offer.
