Was re-reading the Nano thread and I remembered one I love:

The Climactic battle. How, for some reason, everything depends on this one big battle. We all know the heros are going to win, but for some reason you can't help but get into that moment anyway. I mean, the villains winning would be surprising, but for the most part we're all waiting for the heros to win so we can (silently)(or not silently as long as we're alone) cheer the moment.

It's cheesy, and unrealistic, and dorky. And I love it every time.

I've never read a zombie apocalypse book, but zombie movies... I'll never get tired of those. ♥

I shall never tire of the falling-into-fantasy-world cliche.

Or the tough guy with the soft heart (like Yao from Mulan).

Or the villain who's the villain only cause he/she was severely misunderstood earlier in life (like the Phantom).

Or the climactic battle. Yes! Love! Much! (I think it's because most people secretly wish they could have a climactic battle and all their problems would be solved for a couple more generations. I know I do.)

Or anything to do with cute boys and high school.

The villain/antagonist who just can't win (namely Dr. Doofenshmirtz).

Superheroes in general, esp. if their power is flight, super strength, super speed, or super senses of some sort (accidental alliteration FTW).

... I love the real world to fantasy world thing too... only difference is that in my most recent story, the characters are taken from one fantasy world... and end up in another fantasy world. XD

I suppose I have a few favorites:
-hidden identities
-tall burly man, cute little woman coupling
-the suave Vampire
-amnesia & alternate personalities

Well, honestly, I like a lot cliches. When they're done in an enjoyable way.

I'm going to add to my earlier post with another post, haha, and say I never tire of writing:
-timid girl taken from home to live with intimidating, ridiculously handsome man to embark on a quest/solve a big problem and then ultimately fall in love.

And I do agree on the whole 'climactic battle/ending/death scene' biggrin

Cliche, eh?

Well, to start off, I just love it when it's sorta like a 'hate at first sight' thing. You know, when boy meets girl, they become rivals, then fight and bicker a lot, and, somewhere along the way, fall in love. whee

Ah, yes, climatic battles as well. They're just so... EPIC. xd
