[Class] Forms and Faces 1 with Prof. Tailor

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=19925971

Appeal

Class. Class. Class. Class. Class.

Class. Class. Class. Class. Class.

Lucien was focused. He had to sign up for class! He couldn't go chasing that butterfly in the wind, or see what happens when water accidentally floods the mummy floor of the undead dormitory. He had to sign up for class. He pushed his way into the door and...

Ding!

What was that?

Lucien looked around, half confused. Where was he? What was he doing here! His toes curled against the floor for a moment before his eyes looked around at all the students in the room. Why were they here? Students in a room... OOOH! That was right. Class. Bare feet pressed against the floor, Lucien smoothly walked over to the paper and signed his name.

L... U... C... I... E... ... ... N...

User Image

He opened his mouth as if to sigh in relief before finding himself a seat, midair, in the back of the classroom where he settled down and waited. Looking around, there was a student who looked like a black dog, and then one that looked like a green... green... well it could crush him, he wasn't going to go there. Feeling the safer decision, Lucien's eyes settled on the black dog nearby.

Appeal

Well, Lucien wasn't really standing but sitting, midair. It really was more comfortable than standing, and put him in a rather laid back mood. He found himself catching the sight of a pretty little lady with a scroll on her face before his eyes darted back to the... dog now staring at him with his icy blue eyes, daring to pierce into his very soul. This dog was daring to place dispute on Lucien's previous thought that looking at him was safer than looking at... the other option.

It didn't really stop Lucien, that blank stare on his face, small pout forming at his lips. He was intrigued. His eyes looked over the dog's scruffy black hair to the ears popping out, down his grey clothes, pausing at the Pumpkin Charm around his neck, to his wisp like tail. His glance ended there, loosing interest in what may be below that... wonderful black cloud. It really should be placed above his head though, considering his mood.

Adjusting the goggles around his neck to bring them to his face, he looked at the dog through the pink tint for a second, those eyes still glaring at him, before fixing the goggles back around his neck. Finally, his ice blue eyes blinked, he took breath of air and crossed his arms over his lap casually.

"You look upset," he commented bluntly.

Appeal

Lucien was about to reply 'You're welcome' back to the dog when suddenly his thoughts were cut out by the appearance of the teacher. That was odd, had he been there before? Lucien could have sworn he wasn't, wasn't there a kid in his spot not too long ago? Lucien shook his head, with one last look at the dog's tail before turning his attention to the voice of the teacher speaking.

Fear... fear...

"Hm," he said, digging around in his belt for a piece of paper that was tucked behind him along with a pencil to write with. He placed the paper on a nearby desk and started to write.

Quote:
They say you can see fear in the eyes, that fear burning into their sockets. The eyes have always been said to be a look into the soul of a creature, the mind of the creature. However, fear is not a solid, constant result. Fear changes under the circumstances. What one sees as frightening, another may not. Fear can be physical, or fear can be mental and emotional.

Fear can be anywhere, at any time. It can be complicated, or simple.

The air elemental spirit had gotten that far his thoughts derailed for a moment. His eyes glancing up and down his piece of paper, to the right, to the left. He couldn't get a grasp on his thought. There was a dog to his left he was very interested in, and a woman with a scroll glued to her face... everyone in this room kept drawing a piece of his attention and that's when his next thought hit him.

Quote:
It is a strong, pulling sensation that often a creature has no control over. No matter how hard you try and hide it away, if you do not defeat it, it will come back to conquer you and eventually it will win. There is always a moment of weakness that fear will use to grow.

Trying hard to stay focused, he thought on what he was scared of. What was his fear? He never really thought about it before. His pencil was tapping, pressing into the paper just slightly as he thought until finally he started writing again.

Quote:
I fear that one day I will be unable to feel the air around me, that one day I will suffocate. This may sound strange but I fear that one day I will be sucked into a black hole and be forever falling in an airless vacuum. I guess that would hit both fears at once. Suffocating, and falling forever with no control.

P.S. I fear the world is not as it appears to be, that what we see is just a distraction.

Calmly, but a little shaken up thinking about it, Lucien put the pen down on the desk and folded up his piece of paper so that it could go in the hat. As he did, he accidentally brushed the pencil off his desk and it rolled across the floor until it hit the toe of the black dog's shoe. Lucien looked around, hopelessly, unable to spot it.

Where'd it go?

Homework
Then he looked up, his eyebrows raised, and offered a flash of a smile. "No, these aren't your own phobias. Instead, you've been randomly given another student's definition of 'fear', of what they dread. For next class, I want you to find me a visualization of this fear. Anything you'd like -- just make it something we can see. I don't care if you draw it yourself or if you find something someone else has drawn, but it should be clear....and I might ask for justification."

[Class] Stealth 1 with Professor Darcy

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20281802

Appeal

Lucien was entering the classroom when he swore he heard the wail of a dog being attacked by a sea monster. A little strange, there being no water directly in the classroom but how could he be sure? To his surprise the classroom was a dark room. He just assumed that classrooms were supposed to be well, easy to see? It was really no concern to him though, so long as he didn't walk into a wall. Safely, the spirit made it though the dark room, past the demon cat that didn't seem too pleased about him as he walked by it. Perhaps just indifferent.

He couldn't see anyone he knew, until he caught the glow of a pair of blue eyes he was familiar with. A black dog. He slowly made his way over to Tybalt who was at the back of the room, casually glancing towards a curtain as he picked up a seat next to him.

"Salutations," he said, filling out the parchment as well.

The Parchment
Name: Lucien
Why I Am Taking This Class: The air should never be seen, and neither should I.

Appeal

Tybalt had been the only person he really met so far since he came to the academy so he was happy to sit next to the dog, even if he seemed quite fidgety. Like Tybalt, he was also curious about what was going on around the room and his eyes followed everyone a little. What exactly did that... succubus think she was doing anyways? And the one Tybalt was talking to?

He turned a little in his seat, unhappily about it's discomfort. To solve this, he hovered just a little off the chair. Aaaaah, air was much more comfortable than that chair. He adjusted the goggles around his neck before really taking a look. A coffin? Really? That would explain... the dark status of the room.

"It's probably a decoy, everyone expects something to be in the coffin," he pointed out bluntly.

Appeal

Lucien had only been slightly surprised to see their professor come out from the front of the room, from a chair this ghost hadn't even noticed was there. At least he hadn't been in the coffin right? That would have been so obvious for a vampire... a vampire. This was his first time seeing one, his eyes lingering on Professor Darcy for awhile, nearly forgetting just what he was looking at. It continued like that until the vampire spoke, promptly snapping Lucien back to the classroom. The spirit found his seat as the professor said, it was below his rump, even if his rump refused to sit on that horribly uncomfortable chair.

Lingering, Lucien's icy blue eyes circled around the classroom. He hadn't noticed how all the girls in the class were suddenly more behaved, or flush faced. As his eyes reached the far edge of the room he promptly took notice of a lantern and shortly after that the creature who accompanied it, reminding him of his own nostalgically. After briefly looking at his classmates, and the notable extra who had no desk to sit at, he casually held his paper out to the... cat, as he watched it linger near Tybalt. It was strange no? A cat lingering near a dog... His eyes gazed to Tybalt curiously. Hm, was all he directed at Tybalt.

Appeal

Lucien hadn't ever really worried about being seen much in his life, but being at the academy and actually close to the land was something different. If he remembered to hide, he could probably find a decent spot but he was so easily distracted! He thought, tilting his weight to the right, and then to the left.

Thinking about spots on the way to class he had a little bit of a hard time thinking of places to hide since he was in another world of thought when he walked to class. Well! He could float up and hide on the ceiling. No one really tended to look up when they were looking for people! There was a ceiling, right? Lucien wasn't sure. He would be able to hide that way in many places, but what if they were looking specifically for him? What if that was the first place they looked! There must be other places out there he could hide. He thought hard.

There was the possibility of... no, that wasn't there was it?

How about... no... that wouldn't work.

How about between the... no.

Perhaps using someone bigger than you...

There were probably several things like lockers to hide behind, corners of walls...

Lucien really had wished he had paid a little more attention to his surroundings when he walked here but he just couldn't remember!

Lucien imagined if you were quiet enough you could successfully hide behind the creature seeking, almost as their shadow. When they would turn, you would turn, keeping out of their sight. Step for step for step.

[Class] Shadowcraft 101 with Prof. Hellma Shox

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=19791193

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Appeal

Lucien walked into the room with a small jump in his step. He was delighted, absolutely delighted to have walked skipped into the Shadowcraft class. The air and shadows were different, but very alike. They were both silent and creeping, and together they made for a very creepy situation. An old creepy house full of shadows, air creaking through the rafters, a chill of air running down your neck as you see a glimpse of something in the corner of your eye. Lucien desired being able to use that ability, to have his shadow play by his side and cause some havoc, see what would happen.

Lucien looked around the class, his feet barely touching the ground as he slithered across the floor. He took the candies that were allocated to him and scurried around the room. He seen a couple familiar faces, but not anyone other than Tybalt who was directly ahead of him playing with his own shadow, that he was really familiar with.

In front of him, he seen a creature with a beak like mask on it's face... and it was looking at a ghost whose shadow was not affiliated with her anymore! It was mirroring her, mocking her? It seemed to be playing with her, enjoying itself. Lucien was not sure if he should eat one of the candies. He wanted to see what his shadow would do? Didn't he?

If Tybalt could do it, Lucien's curiosity would not be held back much longer. He slowly peeled off the wrapper of one of the candies and slipped it between his lips, chewing and biting down on the candy before swallowing it. It tasted... spicy to him. It was strange.

Not too long after his shadow stretched away from him and straight up the wall. It was taunting him. Its hands above its head with a 'Nya nya nya nya nya nya, you can't catch me,' motion with its hands.

"Hey now! Don't make me come up there!" Lucien found himself shouting at the shadow.

(( http://www.thesporkedken.com/adopt/profile.php?user=Appeal ))

Appeal

Lucien's shadow had decided it didn't want to come down, much preferring to tease and mock Lucien at the high distance. It didn't please Lucien to have his shadow not listen to him and frustrated he floated up to meet his shadow only to have it take off in another direction! It was hard to tell where exactly it was heading as Lucien rushed off to follow it. It would be terrible to lose his shadow! How would it know who to go back to if not even Lucien could find it.

The shadow paused for a moment, playful almost, giving Lucien a chance to catch up. He growled in his throat and hurried after it. His shadow made a laughing motion, arms wrapping around it's stomach and bending over before saluting to Lucien and taking off again.

AH!

Lucien looked right, and then looked left. He made sure to look up and then down. Ah ha! Over there! His shadow! It was... creeping up on Israfel's shadow as it was distracted with Tybalt's shadow. Closer... closer... closer... Lucien went to yell out and just as he was about to he was distracted as he watched his shadow lunge at Israfel's shadow's back, preparing to tackle it.

"Watch out!" He finally yelled after gathering his wits, rushing over to them.

Appeal

With all the noise and chaos in the room from the shadows of all the students it, it seemed no one heard Lucien's attempt to warn them of his mischievous shadow's behaviour. Everyone was too distracted with their own shadow, or another student's shadow. Lucien was running past them all, an undead doctor, an undead wolf-like creature, and even another ghost.

Lucien's shadow was in luck, Israfel's shadow was just sitting there like a duck when he finally got close enough and lunged onto the birdy shadow, grabbing hold of it tightly. It was his now! Bwhaha!

Lucien finally caught up with his shadow, but didn't get there fast enough. He found himself staring at his own shadow as it gloated about capturing the prize. Frustrated, Lucien growled at his shadow, looking to the side to see... a familiar face...s... and... a very awkward looking shadow being clung to tightly. He couldn't decide which was more urgent: to ask what happened to Tybalt's shadow, to ask who his shadow kidnapped, or to say hello; until Lucien's shadow noticed Lucien looking at it and flew up the wall again and out of reach still clinging tightly. Then Lucien completely forgot about option one to three.

Maybe no one would notice it was his shadow.

Appeal

Lucien wasn't really sure what to do. He could back away from the two shadows and pretend that wasn't his. It was a pretty plain shadow, it could be anyone! Just because it looked like him, didn't mean it was him! And of course now it looked like the two shadows were one because his shadow refused to let go off the other and Lucien had no idea why that was. He certainly didn't need the other to shuttle it around...

Lucien found himself taking a step back and even the scream of the siren, Israfel, did not want to stop him. It wasn't until his shadow rushed past the others and came back to him... with a gift, the other shadow! Lucien took another step back, surprised and confused. No, no, no! He didn't want the siren's shadow, not at all! Slowly... he looked from the two shadows to the real Israfel before directing his attention to his shadow.

"No, no," he mumbled. It seemed that was Lucien's pushing point. The game was over.

"I don't want that!" He took a deep breath, looking around. "Give it back to its owner!"

The shadow titled, looking at Israfel, clinging even more tightly to the shadow, obviously not wanting to.

"Give it back."

The shadow slowly released the other. Slowly, very slowly, as if drawing out the time it had with the other shadow.

Appeal

Lucien made a rather disgruntled noise as he watched his shadow. It was sitting there, letting the other shadow slap it with its wings. Lucien hoped his shadow wasn't doing what he thought it wasn't doing: staring at Israfel's shadow longingly. Sulking because Lucien made him give it back. Enjoying the little attention the other shadow gave it. Really now? Did his shadow miss the other that much? It was right in front of him! Did it have to be squeezing the other embarrassingly? Perhaps just touching it? Lucien was not enjoying the way his shadow was behaving at all. He wished he could pick it up and glue it back to his feet so it would stop causing so much trouble for him.

Shaking his head, Lucien looked to Israfel, kicking his feet off the ground and floating just above the ground. He crossed his legs over another and found himself in a cozy spot as he opened his mouth. He found himself saying exactly what was on his mind. "Au contraire, I think my shadow likes your shadow."

Appeal

Lucien was still very curious about the shadow candies even to his dismay of the current situation. His shadow was acting like a child who wanted, wanted and would take it and then sulk when you took it away. Over time, Lucien was sure he could have his shadow grow up. It couldn't possibly get any worse, right? Lucien's shadow however wasn't going to sulk anymore, it was rebounding time. It would try and get its bird once again! It slowly, creepily slid away from Lucien and up the wall until it was closer to Israfel's shadow. It didn't attack, it just sat there and watch it as if to say, 'I won't attack you, please don't fly away again.'

Meanwhile, Lucien looked at Israfel with a small smile curling at the tip of his lips as he spoke, "A pleasure, my name is Lucien." He took a breath, mildly looking at his shadow in the corner of his eye as it in turn watched Israfel's shadow. Wearily, he nodded to the siren. The candy's effect couldn't possibly last that much longer, could it? "Surely the effect of the candy will wear off soon, it is only temporary after all."

[Class] Curses, Hexes, and Spells

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=19935363

Appeal

Lucien had stopped abruptly when he seen this door. There was something about this door, but he wasn't sure what it was, that was drawing his attention to it. It was pulling him to it. Spells, Hexes, Curses... backwards, but Lucien got the point. He thought about his family, and his element of the air. Air was considered a magic, right? And he was considered air. It made sense to him, but he hesitated. He was standing in front of the door until the air around him seemed to push him into the doorway, causing him to fly into the classroom and nearly onto his face.

He promptly grabbed hold of a nearby desk. He had made a lot of noise and cautiously looked around at the other students as he regained his composure. He hadn't really recognized anyone until he seen another ghost, a pretty young lady with a scroll on her face. He had seen her before, hadn't he? It was something about a scroll on the face that you just didn't forget. He found himself floating on over to her, taking a seat next to her.

"Salutations," he said to her. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lucien, may I inquire what yours is my..." Don't say scroll face lady, don't say it, don't say it. He tried hard to keep that thought as he looked over her to find some other train of thought to finish his next thought, "... sc... scantily dressed lady?"

Damn it.

Appeal

Lucien kind of eyed the origami project Mai had been working on before she finally seemed to notice he was there. He'd never seen origami before, and thought it was rather interesting to see and watch. He was finally pleased when the other addressed him and even introduced herself! He was a little surprised because of what he said, and it wasn't what he meant to say at all! Usually people gave him strange looks. Instead, Lucien smiled at Mai before tilting his head to the side and then to the other side following the small flame spirit as it circled him.

"Hello," he said, addressing the little spirit as well. "It's nice to meet you as well."

The air elemental paused, and then looked back to Mai. He took a moment to gather the words and then asked, "Who might this little guy be?"

[Class] Illusionary Artes 101

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20375182

[color=white]
It was surprising but Lucien had realized he had a class to attend to. It wasn't surprising that when he realized this he was all the way at the other end of Town Hall checking his rainbow pumpkin seeds into his bank account. He finished up as fast as he could with gnomes running the bank and hurried his way back. He flew by the Wishing Well, noticing a few students trying to put another student into the well, along with someone trying to make a wish in the middle of it all. He got a little absent minded watching, and took the long way back to the school going all the way through the campus dorms first.

He grunted in displeasure when he got to the school. Hurrying inside, he found himself floating as fast as he could down the hall, desperately looking for his class. Every door he checked in just wasn't his class. Then he spotted it, nearly sliding past the door as he spotted it. He took a breath and floated closer to the door. He peered in, listened. The teacher was talking. Lucien was late! He stared in... listening intently to the teacher. Lucien was trying to grasp his head around the idea of a catalyst, one arm squeezing around his lantern and the other fiddling with the goggles around his neck.

Finally when the teacher was done speaking, Lucien thought for a moment about what sort of illusions he'd want or need to be able to harness. He imagined the illusion of appearing as if he wasn't there and just part of the sky would be key. The sky, the air, it was all important to his species. It was key to his abilities. The wind was something he'd love to be able to do more with, perhaps an illusion with wind storms or creature illusions would be interesting at one point.

Lucien heard the sound of a familiar voice speaking and when he turned his head to see who it was he noticed not a person but a shadow first, and from there he seen a little bird whom he was able to identify immediately. Israfel was an interesting guy from what Lucien could tell, and he just seemed so... Lucien paused his thought when he heard another voice speaking. It was a much softer tone, the sound of a woman? His eyes moved over to notice her. He didn't remember her name, but he was pretty sure he seen her in Shadowcraft 101 as well.

He slowly moved over to the teacher. It was rare he took his lantern to class with him, but he had it carefully in one arm. It was very noticeable as he toggled with his goggles with the other. He addressed the teacher whose name he was unable to catch and paused, floating in front of him. He hoped the teacher hadn't noticed he had been late, or at least not mind enough to put him on the spot in class. Without addressing reason, Lucien said "I'm sorry," before he moved onto the purpose of his sentence. "I'm an air elemental spirit. I can make clouds," he said, lingering on the thought of someday maybe making storms. "Illusions involving the air would be perfect. Maybe something to build up to like an illusionary wind creature, to something simple like blending into the environment like I'm not there."

Lucien then took a step back from the teacher as his feet briefly touched the ground and he moved from the front of the classroom to the back. There he was a lot closer to Israfel and he hoped the teacher wouldn't mind. He really didn't want to have to stand at the front of the class all day.

[color=white]
Lucien watched Professor Phairren seemed to lecture the class about lack of participation. The air elemental couldn't help but wonder if the professor was referring to him. He didn't mean him right? Lucien was late but he participated! Right? Lucien's thoughts flew wild as he thought about it, was he going to be punished?! Why was he going to a... what was that? A closet? Lucien's imagination was really getting the better of him until luckily, Phairren didn't bring out anything too strange and Lucien cooled down a little, enough to listen.

His eyes settled, staring at the objects the professor had in his hands. What were they? Orbs? Lucien thought about it as he watched Phairren hand the stones out until he finally got to him. Lucien held his hand out to accept the channeling stone, looking up at Professor Phairren in time to notice a small, somewhat encouraging smile directed at... at Lucien! A small sense of relief rushed over Lucien all because of that small smile. Upon accepting the stone, Lucien managed a meek 'thank you' at the professor.

He finished listening intently to what the professor had said and after Professor Pharrien had finished and addressed the class to leave, Lucien did so. He left slowly, not in a hurry, grasping the stone carefully in his hands as if it were his precious lantern itself. He was carefully considering what the professor had said about the stone, about the homework he'd have to do before the next class. Distracted in thoughts, the air elemental almost walked into the door on his way out, just managing to slide against the door wall instead.

"Ah," he managed to say under his breath before he disappeared around the corner of the classroom.

Lucien broke all of his supplies being distracted one late night and it seemed he had been directed to someone named Mr. Blobby. He wasn't sure who this character was but he did know that he did need new supplies. He made a weird noise as he pulled out a piece of candy he had been keeping in his pocket. He was disappointed, but he dropped it in front of Mr. Blobby.

"Uh... enjoy. Please don't bite me."

[color=white]
Against Lucien's better judgment, he came back to see Mr. Blobby again. He had to face the fact, he did need those supplies. He had heard tales that you used to have to actually stick your hand near the creature, but at least now you didn't. This time he was prepared, he had brought a cone of cotton candy just for Mr. Blobby. Carefully, he put the cotton candy nearby the creature. It looked just like cloud, except it was brightly coloured and sugary. Instead of being fluffy and white with a little taste of rain dew.

[color=white]
Another day, another ingredient to make a happy Mr. Blobby. Lumpy and not so tasty, but completely accurate. Lucien was not in a good mood though, having had been thrown out of the shed not too long ago when he was in a bad mood to begin with. It was lingering over him like a dark cloud. He had picked up a crab apple before he left the treeline and headed for to the department for school supplies. He dropped the apple in front of Mr. Blobby, a piece of the apple breaking off as it hit the surface. He pushed it closer, easing it to Mr. Blobby.

[color=white]
Lucien had forgotten that he had to come back to get one more tool to complete his school supply list when he was running from his dorm in the graveyard to the school. It didn't occur to him that he had to bring something until he was just down the hallway from Mr. Blobby's room. He managed to grab the first thing he seen, which was a rotting plum that was luckily in the corner of the hall and had not been found and eaten already! What were the odds! He carefully pushed it to Mr. Blobby, trying not to smoosh it. He didn't imagine it would be very tasty as a liquid.

[color=white]
Lucien was back again, but this time he wasn't exactly sure why he was in a room with gelatin like blob and a frog in his hands. He shrugged it off though, and not wanting to carry this frog for no reason anymore, he stuck it on top of the blob and walked away. He paused though, trying to think of why he had been there in the first place having been entirely unsure of why he had been there. He couldn't put his finger on it and walked out of the room when he heard the frog croak.

[color=white]
Lucien was back again, floating his way toward the blob with a large egg in his hands. The egg opened up, and he pulled out another egg, and then another egg, and then another egg until there was a row of eggs on the table beside Mr. Blobby. All of the eggs were hollow except the one that was in the middle of all of them, which had some sort of unidentifiable goo inside of it. Lucien put the goo filled egg inside of the first egg and then put that inside another until there was just one egg left. He looked at Mr. Blobby, who had such an insatiable appetite. He hoped that this egg would keep the blob at bay for at least a bit longer this time!

[SHED] Breck's Garden Shed

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20240534

[color=white]
Lucien made a huff as he pushed his way over the grass, not touching it as he gracefully walked on the air over it. He had been mindful to read the "KEEP OFF THE GRASS" sign, however, he did not see the "NO TRESPASSING" one, being far too distracted at that point. He could have sworn he had seen Tybalt come out this way, and with that, he was determined to find that black dog. Last he had seen him they had been playing and then Lucien seemed to have misplaced him. Tybalt sure was lucky, being able to disappear like that! He'd always win hide and seek...

Creeeeeeeeeeak.

Lucien turned around, ears directing him towards a small shed close by. It had to be Tybalt! He would win this game of Hide and Seek! Quickly, Lucien found his way to the shed, grabbed the door... "I found...!"

[color=white]
[color=white]
1-20 - You make it though the door of the shed only to find the bag of crab grass seed, your efforts to intrude further are thwarted by a swarm of pinching and hungry seeds determined to turn you into mulch.

"... seeds?!"

Well, it made sense. It was a shed after all. It was logical to keep seeds in there so you could plant them in the land nearby. But... moving seeds. The seeds trying to pinch his toes! Thankful he had not been standing, Lucien quickly backed out of the shed, closing the door, almost pinching his hand between the door and the wall as he locked those toe-pinching seeds in the shed. Lucien was not impressed! All this, and he still hadn't found Tybalt! He would not give up though, and with a new huff, he wandered off in a new direction with new hope that this path would lead him to Tybalt and not some ear snapping apples.

[color=white]
Lucien was in a huff. Not only was he in a bad mood because of the weather but he was also remembering the humiliation he had suffered last time he had been in this place. Really now. Seeds tried to eat him. How much more humiliating can it get? He stared intently at the hut. Moments upon moments before he wandered over to the hut, feet pressed firmly on the ground, pissed off to even care the sign said to keep off the grass. When he got to the hut he grabbed the handle of the door and swung it open, stepping in...

Someone better have cleaned those seeds up!

[color=white]
[color=white]
41-50 - You made it past the plant, the tree, and the seeds... you found the spring trap under the carpet. You're launched unceremoniously out the door.

Lucien barely had time to realize his mood lifting at the sight the seeds had indeed been cleaned up when he was launched into the air and back out of the shed. He almost slammed into the ground when the air below him softly caught him... and then dropped him.

"Ow!" He grumbled, glaring at the shed.

Lucien was getting a good idea... with a little time to get supplies to pull it off... he'd be back. He'd be back. After his moment of contemplation he pushed himself off the ground and trampled over the grass and out of sight of the shed.

[color=white]
Lucien was humming as he floated his way over the grass. He was in a good mood. Today was the day. Today was the day was he going to get his revenge. He would pull his prank. He would get that shed back for all of its misdoings. All of those seeds trying to eat him, and the door throwing him outside when he was already in a bad mood. He had been focusing on this so much he remembered every detail. He would not forget. He came prepared too. He had rope in his arms, a hook, a can of tomato sauce and a snake. He wasn't sure what he was going to do with these but he was sure it would get that shed back.

He landed on the grass in front of the shed softly, setting the can of tomato sauce down as he fiddled with the hook and the rope between his hands until the hook was sitting on the can and the rope was on the ground. At this point the snake was slithering angrily in his arms, demanding the air elemental let him down. He wanted to play in the grass! Lucien made a groan. The snake wasn't part of this at all! He wasn't quite sure why he had it, so he let it down on the grass. It slithered and squirmed around the can and then into the distance until Lucien couldn't see it anymore.

Lucien got back to what he was doing, using the hook to open the can and then he did the unthinkable. He put the end of the rope into the tomato sauce and then used the rope to paint a nice and big : ) face onto the shed with a 'Welcome' on the door.

Lucien looked at the door and grinned before saying, "Thank you," to the shed and opening the door triumphantly...

[color=white]
It seemed like forever, but Lucien finally came out of the shed. He seemed as if he was a in daze, as if he seen something he wasn't entirely sure happened or not. But he knew, he clenched his arms around his stomach. Not only had he gone into the shed, but he was in one piece- nothing inside had tried to eat him, nothing was trying to maim him. He was in one piece. It was definitely the work of the happy face, which was gleaming at him like a proud father. Hunched over himself a little, Lucien floated across the grass with his arms around his stomach, a lump perturbing from underneath his coat.

Run run run! Go for the Gold!

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20280134

[color=white]
Lucien was in his room and then he was outside, not entirely sure just when or how he got there but if he was here it must be better than where he was. Right? Right. Now just where was here? His icy blue eyes slowly slid across the landscape. Was it some sort of dump site? No, no... it took him a few minutes of staring but he finally came to the conclusion that this was not a dump site but a field. A very dirty field. Conclusion drawn, Lucien noticed a smaller figure run by him, and upon further inspection noticed several people down on the field.

Idly floating in the air just above the ground Lucien sat with his legs crossed over each other and his arms crossed over his chest, making a hmmmmmmmm sound as he expressed an interest in finding out what the small commotion down there was. That was it. His mind narrowed and focused on the topic at hand: find out what was going on!

With haste and without much thought, Lucien dropped on the ground and walked gracefully towards the field with bare feet. He didn't get there as fast as the little pony that ran ahead of him, but he got there, shockingly with his curiosity still intact. With no idea what was going on, he quietly stood behind them, making as little noise as a soft breeze in an empty field until finally a gust of wind blew by Lucien's neck.

"May I inquire what the commotion here is?"

[color=white]
The word try-out slipped from the lips of one of the students and into Lucien's ears but still that alone wasn't enough to remind him just why he had been over in this direction in the first place. It was when he finally caught sight of Tybalt and then put Try-outs and Tybalt together that the light lit inside his empty lantern of a brain. One second. One second. He remembered! He had rushed out of his dorm and hurried to the field for try-outs. He must have had a sheet somewhere... somewhere... He dug around and around until he found a piece of paper tucked in behind his belt and quickly held it out to Temes as she was collecting the rest of them from everyone.

Admittedly, as Lucien looked around he felt a little out of place. Completely having forgot, he was in his normal clothes, including his lack of shoes. Although even if he had remembered he still probably wouldn't have worn shoes, it just wouldn't have been comfortable and he'd probably trip and fall on his face! He was just thankful that his clothes were comfortable, and with a little snap of his belt buckle he slipped his belt off and put it off to the side before.

The air elemental spirit generally understood the concept, but he glanced at Temes, and then to Tybalt as he inquired a question to either of them. "My feet have to stay on the ground until I jump, correct?"

Digging his feet into the ground, he curled his arms under each leg and kneeled down to he ground, waiting for an answer as he stretched out his legs a little. Phew.

[color=white]
Lucien took a small look at the zombie nearby, she seemed very excited about this all and Lucien couldn't understand why a zombie would be and just how well it would be with athletic activities. Quite distracted from his original thought, it took Tybalt speaking to draw back Lucien's attention. He nodded to Tybalt with a laugh, watching as the dog's smile twisted before scratching his head. The image that went into Lucien's head was a dog sitting on it's a** with it's foot behind its head.. scratching it's ears. I guess that was relevant.

"Makes sense," he said, digging his feet into the ground, curling his toes into the dirt. It felt squishy, very cool and comforting on his feet.

[color=white]
Lucien looked around, hitting his feet into the ground as he thought for a moment. What did he sign up to do again? His eyes looked around the track curiously. He noticed... what seemed to be a teacher, pull up and take a seat on the side lines and a rather stoned looking creature trying to impale others, and an undead creature... running? He certainly wasn't here for either of those. What was he here for again? He had to look else where! He gazed around the track field... another undead who seemed to be jumping... ahhhhhhhh!

That was it. He had signed up for jumping! Where was he supposed to do it though? Lucien squeezed his brows together in thought, eyes gazing around for a suitable spot. Running he could just run around, but where was he supposed to jump at! There seemed to be a suitable place to jump though a little away from Temes. He jumped a little in his step as he walked over to the way away from the male running and the rock throwing pointy things.

He stared at the place in front of him, took a few steps back and ran forward. After his feet left the ground with his jump, a smile could be found lighting up Lucien's face before quickly disappearing as he landed on the ground again in the distance. A good practice jump indeed. Lucien was already excited to jump again.

Battle of the Bands Sign-up!

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20421101

Appeal

Why was signing up left to Lucien? No one would truly ever know but here he was, signing up by the end of his hair. It was truly a miracle he had made it on time. He didn't know his band members very well, but somehow he had found his way into a band with a cat and a wisp. If anything, it would at least prove interesting. A little curious how it would all turn out, Lucien had never really sung in public before and the band hadn't even settled down on a genre.

He slowly wrote down the band members, starting with himself and finishing with the wisp. The drummer? It seemed odd, but whatever. It would work.

Lead Singer: Lucien
Guitarist: Jack
Drummer: Daisuke

After a moment, he took a sharp breath. Oh Jack. Oh Jack. Oh Jack. Why didn't Jack tell him what their band name would be! Tapping his feet against the ground, the air elemental paced in front of the paper. He started to write...

Group Name: Darker Skies

It was sure how he felt at the moment. It hadn't even started and Lucien could already feel a cloud forming over his head about to open up and rain on him. Lucien would have to find the cat and wisp later and make sure they were all on the same page. Lucien didn't want to embarrass himself when it wasn't on purpose. He wouldn't want to actually intentionally want to forget something like embarrassment. Darker Skies would just have to light up the stage.

[Battle of the Band] The Old Crypt Rockout!

No one had said anything about auditions! It shouldn't have come as a surprise, but it did. Although Jack was optimistic about the whole situation even if the whole thing sort of just fell together leaving him a little confused. It was a little unexpected, but here they were. Jack, Daisuke and... wait. They were missing someone. That dude, the dude who sang. Where was he? Of course, the person who was missing was Lucien. It was no shock that he was on the other end of the room, completely zoned out about what he was supposed to be doing until he felt the sensation of fur rub against his leg. It was a stray cat. Cat? OH JACK! Lucien thought of the cat and then remembered what he was supposed to be doing. Did he remember the lyrics? It would be a shame that their practicing had suddenly gone to wait because he forgot the words!

Lucien quickly leaned over and picked something from around the cat's neck, tucked it away before he hurried over to his band, floating past all of the other people without much of a care. He found himself behind Daisuke, and with a grin he gave him a small tap on the shoulders, surprising the other ghost for a moment. Daisuke withdrew inward for a moment before relaxing. The three greeted each other, inquiring just where Lucien had been in the process. Then there was silence. A bit of an awkward one until finally they were called onto the stage. They all looked at each other and nothing. No one moved first. The awkward silence had changed into stage fright? No. No one wanted to move first. This really wasn't working!

But then something worked. Lucien pushed poor Daisuke forward and onto the stage. Oops, his hand slipped! Hey, don't stare like that folks. It wasn't that bad! He didn't trip or fall, but they had finally broken the glue on their feet. Jack sort of gave Lucien this look and shook his head before he stepped light footed onto the stage with Lucien tilting his head in silence for a moment before finally following suit.

Lucien put his hand on Daisuke's shoulder as to express some sort of consolation as he walked past him and to the scamplifier at the front of the stage for the singer. Jack had already made his way to the guitar to the right of Lucien, but he looked back at the wisp who had settled down at a drum set further back at the stage. The wisp tapped the drum sticks against the drum softly, slowly gaining a small bit of confidence after his stumble onto stage. Lucien had his best thought in mind, after all! Lucien looked back to Daisuke once more, and then to the right at Jack to whom he grinned at again.

"SALUTATIONS," he said, a little too loud into the scamplifier. "Oh."

Jack grunted, covering one hand to his ear as he turned his face to the side a bit to cover his excitement as he held the guitar in his arms, getting ready to play.

Looking at the stage, the band didn't look that special. They weren't in any sort of matching outfit like any of the other bands, or even that coordinated but there were three of them, and they were all in the right place. That at least said something for Lucien.

"We are Darker Skies!"

"Yeah!"

Daisuke started the beat, slow and steady in the background. Jack started to play, plucking the strings of the guitar with nimble fingers. Humming softly, Lucien leaned into the scamplifier. His foot tapped against the stage, his body swagged. He focused, and waited... and then opened his mouth and sang:

Those sunny days
Just fade away
The time spent
Left and went

Open your eyes
See your world shining
Don't you wait
For that sunny day

Don't be afraid
You'll be okay
Nothing to fear
Except...

Lucien held out... The pace of the music slowly increased...

A sunny day!

Open your eyes
See your world shining
Don't you wait
For that sunny day

Don't you wait
For the dark skies to fade
Just open your eyes

Lucien paused as he slowed down...

And see my face!

Open your eyes
See your world shining
Don't you wait
For that sunny day

Open your eyes
See your world shining
Don't you wait
For that sunny day

Open your eyes
See your world shining
Don't you wait
For that sunny day

The music slowed down and in a hush, and a moment of fading Lucien whispered, "I'm waiting," before the music finally ended.

Daisuke was gleaming, holding on tightly to the drum sticks, worried that they might just fly out of his hand as he hit the last note. Jack waited, and Lucien grinned, swinging a small shiny jingle bell just in his range of sight. The cat immediately drew his attention on the air elemental, tail slowly swaying behind him. With a "Thank you!" Lucien ran off the stage with Jack behind him leaving Daisuke alone on the stage, all eyes on him. Slowly, Daisuke edged off of the stage very politely, thankful at least he didn't have to be pushed off this time. All in all, at least Daisuke couldn't die of embarrassment.

Paula Fabghoul
Well, new talent always has tonnes of surprises for me! You three are looking great - well as good as monsters and ghouls can look of course. I like the pace of your song, it's well planned, just take what you have and really work with it, and it'll become a real gem.

Paula's Score: 9 /10

Rowdy Jaxxson
Sup mans, you dudes need to work on yo intro and yo beats man. What was that? Maaan, you dudes got some work to do.

Rowdy's Score: 5/10

Slimin' Cower
Shining world's and sunny days?! Well really, what a disgusting choice of song. I'm going to go over here and open up a vein. Maybe some stray vampire will take me out of this misery of listening to amateur rubbish.

Slimin's Score: 3.5/10

[Battle of the Bands] DEMON STADIUM

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20474099

LOGO HERE

[color=white]
Lucien made a strange face as he looked around at the "band battle", before he grabbed hold of the skellyphone and yelled "a sunny day!" into it. It didn't seem to do anything to the opposing team, perhaps they loved sunny days? It was a shame there were no vampires on that team.

Lucien's damage to Gargantuan Metal : 0 damage!
Gargantuan Metal Total HP: 43-0=43
Darker Skies' HP: 45-0=45

[color=white]
Lucien grunted as not only did one of Daisuke's drumsticks ricochet off of the other team and hit him but the other team was giving them a run for their pumpkin seeds! Lucien leaned into the skellyphone again and gave a good holler. He just couldn't use his voice as a weapon. It must be just too nice to hurt someone! Slowly, Lucien turned to Jack who couldn't do anything else anymore and then finally to Daisuke. He was hoping he'd do better than him... and not hit him again.

Lucien's damage to Gargantuan Metal : 0 damage!
Gargantuan Metal Total HP: 36-0=36
Darker Skies' HP: 30-0=30

[color=white]
Lucien was feeling a little bit relieved when he noticed... a gnome, giving Jack a new guitar. That would at least, if anything, make Jack happier about it. Hopefully this one wouldn't break. Lucien really couldn't judge though, he hadn't been able to do any damage to the opposing team, determined this time, he grabbed the skellyphone and wailed into it.

Lucien's damage to Gargantuan Metal: 3!
Gargantuan Metal's Total HP: 28-3=25
Darker Skies' Total HP: 18

[color=white]
Lucien found himself staring at Daisuke. And by staring I mean STARING. Lucien didn't understand why Daisuke kept hitting HIM and not the other team. And why always him! He couldn't let that distract him though, Lucien would find a way to sing even if Daisuke threw the whole drum set next and THAT landed on him too. Of course, Lucien wasn't doing much harm when he shrieked into the skellyphone, but what he did was better than before!

Lucien's damage to Gargantuan Metal: 3!
Gargantuan Metal's Total HP: 20-3=17
Darker Skies' Total HP: 4

[color=white]
Lucien couldn't take it anymore as a drum from the other team flew by his head. He fell to the ground, body sore from the abuse of his own team members, knocking over his skellyphone on the way down. His eyes were slowly closing as he looked at Daisuke, a smirk on his face, thankful that Daisuke was not the cause of their loss. And then Lucien was out, curled up on top of his skellyphone.

Not the face!

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20644771

[color=white]
Lucien was at the back of the auditorium, somewhere between a garbage can and a broken guitar that looked surprisingly familiar to him. His eyes were staring at it for a little, trying to picture just where he had seen it before. Alas, Lucien's head seemed to be suffering from damage for some reason and just couldn't put his finger on it. How frustrating. He couldn't help but rub his head as he looked around carefully as if he was looking for someone. It wasn't so much that he was hiding, but he just didn't want to be found.

He hadn't finished checking if the coast was clear when Lucien heard the sound of something playing in the nearby distance and floated out from behind the garbage can and broken guitar to look for the source of the sound. Then he seen a scene that couldn't help but make Lucien's grin grow huge. Cats! Lots of cats! And of course his guitarist Jack, but cats! He hurried over to the cats his band member Jack.

"Jack," he said. "I like your cats!"

Damn it. That wasn't what Lucien meant to say at all. Well, it was, but he... Lucien wished he could say something a little better for a greeting. He took a good look at Jack's guitar. Yes. He would mention the guitar he got from the competition! Quickly trying to use that to recover, he said, "Can I pet them?"

... Lucien gave up trying to say anything more than, "Greetings Jack."

[color=white]
Lucien couldn't help but stare between all of the cats and then back to Jack. He wished cats would flock around him! Of course, the more he looked at Jack and between the cats the more he noticed something. Jack was also... very... feline and Lucien had an incredible urge to pet him as well. He was about to go reach his hand towards Jack on reflex when Jack mentioned it would be okay for him to pet the cats, even nudging one of the felines towards Lucien.

Without much thought, he put his hand out to the cat, a silly grin on his face when he felt some fur slip between his fingers. Such a nice kitty! Jack was a nice kitty too, and this seriously caused Lucien to wonder if Jack wouldn't mind being handled by him as well. It would have been an awkward question, an awkward moment to for Jack to add to his list of those awkward male moments if Lucien had of asked something like 'Can I handle you too then?' but luckily Jack was quick to greet Lucien, quickly changing his thoughts to address his own concerns about the conspiracy involving his head.

"Yes," he said. Logically, most people would have gone back to their dorms but for some reason Lucien had decided to remain here and wander about now that the event was done and over with. They had lost the battle, but they had also gained some things. Some better than others like Jack's new guitar and some that would cause severe headaches.

"My head?" He questioned out loud. "Questionable, like our drummer."

Lucien was convinced there was a conspiracy against his head and Daisuke was part of it. Questionable wisp indeed.

VOTING BOOTH

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20419331

[color=white]
Lucien wasn't terribly sure where he was when he passed a table that caught his eye. It happened to be the voting booth and the words "VOTES GO HERE" caught his attention rather quickly. Not entirely sure what this was, Lucien caught a list of names nearby. With haste, he filled out five ballots just like a normal voter would do: names randomly placed on each piece of paper. He then proceeded to place them in the eye catching box before he carried along with what he was doing: chasing a strange rat around the campus.

EARNING YOUR WINGS

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=20419869

[color=white]
Lucien was the first one there, in fact, he had been there long before Maritess had found her way to the field next to the table. He hadn't seen how it had gotten there. Lucien had just been tired. Classes, Track and Field, and laying on clouds really had been taking their toll. Taking a nap on a cloud was the solution and when he heard the voice of someone not too far down from his lazy position in the sky, Lucien peered over the edge of the cloud and looked down. Rejuvenated from his nap, Lucien remembered the flyers very clearly: Freakuent Flyers Try Outs.

He yawned and slowly sat up before pushing himself off his cloud and gliding down to the ground. He landed without much of a noise and with graceful steps he was off, bound and headed towards Maritess. He stood in front of her and as he went to speak, all that came out was a "Yuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnaahhhhhhh."

That wasn't what he meant to say at all. Well, maybe a little.

[color=white]
Lucien nodded to Maritess, shortly whispering "Tess" under his breath as he picked up one of the pen-strictors that she was offering, which really wasn't all that pleased about it. It squirmed and hissed from one hand to the other before calming down ever so slightly when Lucien gave it a good squeeze. It seemed to enjoy that, or at least Lucien seemed to think it did.

"I like to fly," he said, turning his head away from Maritess and onto the stone angel that had made her way to the field. Lucien recognized her, she was at the Track and Field try-out, trying to impale team mates with various hurling objects. After a moment, he turned his head back and filled out the paper for Maritess, clearly signing Choreographer on the paper.

"It's a pleasure," he said, no smile to be found on his face.

[color=white]
Lucien stared at Maritess, thinking back for a moment. He didn't recognized her, she wasn't at try-outs? Maybe he missed her or just forgot. Considering this, he found himself scratching his head a bit. "Oh, what do you do?" He asked her before he looked to Coralie who had a talking hat shouting off her head. He didn't say anything, rather, he couldn't think of anything to say about that. It was just weird.

Lucien watched quietly as a new winged creature joined. He didn't know him, and he gave him a single greeting with a hand gesture before he watched as Maritess rushed off to try and keep the stoned creature from leaving. He wondered, could stone wings fly? Stone was usually heavy wasn't it? Lucien couldn't imagine, but he could feel how painful it must be to have wings and not be able to use them to glide in the sky.
