Background/Bio: found as a child in a very religious region, Lunair was immedeatly used as a religious symbol, given no freedom. finally, a pack of demons, fed up with hearing about him all the time snuck into the church/prison they had Lunair living in at the time, and had all sorts of bloody fun, ending in them pinning him to the wall outside, nailed there with metal spikes, in an upside down cross position, with wings spread. there were several nails in his wings, and breaks all over them, and he has been unable to actually fly since, which doesnt really mean much since he only ever flew inside the church, and that was more gliding really. it was only a few minutes while he was up there before the demons decided to take pot shots at him with rocks and stones, taking the sight in his right eye. they left after that, and he has recovered the full range of movement in his hands and feet and everything, but he still cant take flight again. he cant even glide, unable to hold his wings spread for any amount of time, let alone support himself. he has retained his magic though, specializing in wind related magic.

Background/Bio: Alyssa was born into a normal family. She was loved, she was cared for. But when she was eight, they died in a car crash. Alyssa was put into an orphanage, and they took care of her, but one night when she was ten, and taking a walk she was snatched off the streets. She was taken to a lab, where they performed a splicing expiriment on her, fusing her DNA with that of a butterfly. After a year there, she escaped, living on the streets until just recently, when the University found her.

Name: Shin, and only Shin. He threw away his surname after he was assigned to be a Death Reaper's assistant. (In training, in other words.)

Age: Unknown but appears around sixteen-seventeen.

Race: Death Reaper... in-training. Can be considered as a ghost.

Sexuality: Bisexual though he is quite shy in terms of romance.

Gender: Male

Powers: He can speak to the dead/ghosts (only at midnight though) and can mask his presence with the darkness. Appears slightly transparent during sunlight---wears black for this reason but he looks solid during nighttime.

Background/Bio: Shin was destined to die from an illness that he knew his family could not afford to cure. Death did not tell him, his doctor did not tell him---he just knew that one day he was going to die. And it was true; when he finally passed, Death decided to give him a visit before he drew that scythe into him, making him go to Heaven or wherever. But his patience, kindness and endurance amazed someone as Death himself and caused Shin to make a deal with him---He was to 'live' under his rules and care; he was to be his assistant, Sad that he have to leave his family in despair, the young man hesitantly took on this role in order to at least get to watch over his family as the time passes by.

The reason he is in this school is that Death had been very much pleased of his hardworking assistant but felt that he needed to get used to the modern life and learn the new things that Shin had never heard of before.
This is because Shin finds himself very troubled between new and old, he is often complaining he is an old man and follows traditions---despite this, he knows a good amount of math and is fluent in English and Japanese.
[Will refer himself as 'Watashi', if he were to speak in Japanese.]
He will sometimes speak in broken Japanese like, "Hai, I understand." and he has adapted a formal way of speech. Much suited to someone like him.

Shin is very gentle, intelligent and calm. He rarely gets angry but he is quite serious. He doesn't show a happy smile often and leaves a mysterious aura. He is also shy, blushing frequently when mentioned romance or when he gets flattered or embarrassed. He has a soft voice as well for a kind personality. Shin likes things to be at peace---although he is skilled in fighting, he does not want to partake such a ruckus. His headphones shown in the picture is the way he communicates with Death--an odd way but it was said to get him used to technology. Works like a regular ol' headphones but only he can access it to speak with Death.
Loves music and reading.He is dressed darkly with the few exceptions of dull or shiny objects on his uniform. (And yes, that is his uniform, he wears it everyday since he has so much of them. There are a few casuals but there are mostly dark-colored kimonos for men.)
Besides his waist is a katana, a Japanese sword that he uses as a scythe. He doesn't use it but on duties, he is told to.

Hello, I would like to join, but I have a question, will there be any teachers?
Also what period of time do the events of the RP occur (current, old times, etc...)? And do you mind Japanese named characters?

((I question as well.. If you do allow teachers, I would be more than happy to change my character from student to teacher. I can decide on which subject he can do quite easily---probably teaching students how to handle a sword and the right use of them. If you allow that type of learning.

@Gothic: I'm not sure what the time period is but I'm pretty sure you can create a character with a Japanese name.. I have one character up right now with a Japanese name but I haven't been accepted yet. ))

Background/Bio: The Shadow Wolves don't exist in this realm, which they call "the Light". The "Dark" is almost opposite of the "Light", where most of the lands are not unified, but some still manage to find peace between themselves. The people lived in tribes and clans, each specializing in different skills and trades. Most had a deep passion for the arts and swordplay. As their tradition goes, unity arrives with peace. Siiga is the result of a truce between two warring tribes coming to terms with each other.

Despite having parents with completely different outlooks on the world they live in, they were both very loving and supportive of Siiga as she grew up. Her mother taught her the joys of self expression through visual graphics, such as painting and sketching, while her father taught her self defense in armed and unarmed combat. By the time she was 13, they started to notice she had a fascination for the "Light" and its differences from their world, from the cultures to the life it held. After discussing between themselves, they decided to allow her to cross between the realms through use of the shadows, in exchange of her telling them of her encounters and adventures. She has been at this for about three years already, and has learned much from her experiences.

Generally, Siiga is calm and curious about what's around her. She tends to have a playful childish nature and learns fast, mostly from watching a few times. Some of her habits can bee seen as wolf-like, such as when she pauses to sniff the air, whimpers, or growls. As a social creature, she likes meeting new people, and is quick to defend those she feels she is close to.

Hello, my character is Bartimaeus Kurisaki. He's already been accepted, but I forgot to post what his demon form looked like. So here ya go! biggrin

It doesn't show it in the picture, but his eyes are white and he has over-large fangs that only fit in his mouth by tearing into his own flesh. Because of this, he's always bleeding from his mouth. He is also mute in this form.

Background/Bio: ----> Aoimizu was born to a High Priestess of the Siren Coven and the Renegade Prince of the Forest Pixie Flutter. She grew to realize her talents in the lovely cottage life in the forest. She had only two friends that weren't forest creatures: her Maid and her best friend SIroku(Wolf/Man). One day when she was about 6-7 years old a coven of Rogue Vampires attacked her and her parents leaving her and her maid as the only survivors. Her maid had hidden as Aoi's Parents had told her, but Aoi had escaped, trying to run for Siroku's help, but was caught and beaten but not killed. She was told by the apparent leader, "I will let you live, only to watch you suffer..." As the coven departed. She has recovered her body, but her mind and soul had been Split. Background/Bio: Takeshi has no alternate form, no super strength, and he sure won't live forever, but the mind tricks he can play are worth all of it, from controlling objects to controlling your mind he tried them all.
An overconfident A student when he wants to, his only problem is to get him to actually study anything, which his parents have been doing well for years. He was transferred to this school on his last year because his parents needed to travel and thought a school like this one would be a good place for a kid as special as their son.
