Hunger Games. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was, and I had some trouble getting into it, at first, but at the middle, you could tell that the ideas the author had were really beginning to gel into something good. There's talk of making a movie franchise, and rumors that the little girl from the True Grit remake might be cast as the lead.
