I used to ready Judy Moody for like 2 months before I quickly moved onto real chapter books. Ugh, I honestly don't remember what my first chapter book was. D:<

All I did was read as a kid!
Lets see, there was:
Harry Potter!
Magic Tree House
The Fear Street Saga Trilogy
Fear Street Seniors
And a bunch of random books that weren't part of a series!
I wish I remembered some of them now, it'd be fun to go back and reread them now! (x

Well, the first chapter books I remember reading were Dragonlance and Animorph series... I also loved the Amelia Bedelia books, and there was this song book that I freaking LOVED, Rhinoceros Tap.

Goodness...
Um...I didn't read that much as a kid. I do remember loving Encyclopedia Brown, hardy boys (yes I'm older than y'all), the Berenstain Bears, Fairy tales, Shel Silverstein. Oh god, Bunnicula. lol

I had to read Bunnicula in two different schools and don't think I ever finished the whole book voluntarily....

As a kid, I think I only read one series of books, and they were The Magic Treehouse. I just loved them when I was little. I think I have one hiding somewhere...

i didn't read many "reading" books as a kid.
my favorite was pinkerton by Steven Kellogg.

i also liked dr. seuss, bearnstein bears, and there was one short book about a moose that stole muffins that i cannot recall the name of.

i took reading tests in school on every book about horses in our school library.

i also read every book there was in every local public library that had an article about unicorns in it, even the encyclopedias.

i also liked the dear america, and royal diaries series.
there was another book i read when i was younger called shiva's fire, by Suzanne Fisher Staples.

i was also about 8 when i read my first harry potter as well so i guess maybe that was my absolute favorite of all.

i still don't read too often even as an adult...

stone soup was my favorite book from when i was little.
