Interesting. I don't really care though. I don't use Facebook at all. I know a lot of my friends will be really sad and/or angry if that actually happens, but I guess I don't care much. Facebook is just a fad. Even if it's gone everyone will just move onto something else.

No, that wasn't Anon. That was Lulzsec. They did it "for the lulz." Anon does for some specific cause - called hacktivism - like Facebook selling private info.

I say let 'em. If it's true that FB sells info, then they'll get what they deserve. (If not, then oh well.)

I learned a little more about Anonymous. They have a history of doing bad things just for the fun of it. Also saying they are doing it for the good of the people.

So maybe we are just stuck in the same place. Both wanting to sell information.

Good on them for using their skills for the better. They don't just use it for the better though, and that's kind of why I wouldn't call them hacktivists.

It didn't work and any other attempts will be squashed before they get the chance to use it, even the facebook coders are always working hard to make sure they are 3 steps ahead of the hackers, privacy is still an issue for some (not for me as i don't put my personal details online), but hackers will have a hard time to shut down the site.
