Ladies of the forest (open and accepting! :D)

Kira noticed Akita walking and went to follow her. She paused at the very edge of the beach, having second thoughts.

Quivering softly Sukoshi shook herself from her ebony feathered gauze. It took her a few moments to realize that she wasn't alone on the beach. The realization wasn't pointed out by her sight, but by the faint whisper of another presence.

Sukoshi turned and gave the wolf a deep bow of respect before whispering "Good morning sister wolf. Come, join me in a morning swim."

The wolf was smaller then most, almost petite. The gray coloring didn't exactly spark any recognition of who she was. This embarrassed Sukoshi. It was impolite of her to forget an ally's name.

Kira jumped at the sound of her sister. Returning Sukoshi's bow, she trotted to the water's edge. "Morning, Sister," she offered a lopsided smile to the black bird. She squeaked as the night chilled water washed over the edge of her paws. Backing up a few steps from the tide. Not wanting to make a fool out of herself in front of the elder avian leader, she took a running plunge into the water.

Sukoshi smiled widely as the young pup splashed into the water. She followed into the wave behind, her hand running over the thick fur of the pup.

The wolf's playfulness and livelihood marked her as young Kira.

With a graceful dive Sukoshi plunged further into the water's dept, enjoying the coolness of the water and the stillness of the lake. It was peaceful. Moments like this made the girl wonder why she could change into a bird and not a fish.

But fish she was not. Reminded of the fact that she needed air to continue, Sukoshi swam back, breaking the surface of the lake.

Kira tread water: remembering exactly why she was a wolf and not a fish. Master of the doggy paddle she was not. Swimming back into shallow water, she watched Sukoshi play in the water, letting the waves wet her ears every now and again.

Once Lira had fully awakened she shifted herself into her steel grey dove and flew from her window and out to the beach. Noticing her leader and a member of the wolf tribe already playing in the water she decided to let them alone and instead softly dived onto another shallow section of the water and began to ruffle and clean her feathers.
