imderanged I <3 my beardie. I didn't do anything custom, just a 40 breeder I got on sale when petco does their $1 a gallon sale! I have a few different Herps...Don't tell my other scaly kids but the my beardie Vlad is my favorite. His temperament and personality make him the most fun and interactive by far. Baby beardies will eat you out of house and home but other than that I highly recommend them as pets smile I have my Mali, Rex, in a 40 breeder, and even though he's only about 8 inches, I just feel like its not big enough for him. Beardies get bigger, and I couldn't imagine keeping one in a 40 breeder full grown. Just me lol I love interacting with Rex. They are similar in temperament, I guess, so I already know what I'd be getting into with a Beardy. They just need more protein then Rexie does. Easy for me smile imderanged The Ball Python is just about exactly what I want some day! Beautiful! I actually have a tank FULL of mantises just that size, right now LOL. The laws must be very different in FL than here, I went to a show in NY and there were NO "hot" snakes. I don't think you can legally have them here in NJ or in NY. Some really nice shots in there, thanks for sharing. I think I know the answer, but what do you mean by "hot"? Baby Mantises are soooo cute! I was surprised my camera focused on it. Two layers of plastic, and a tiny subject? Skill LOL Thanks! I really like my camera lol Vanilla eXee Can I have one of everything? Wow, thank goodness I don't have a car. Mr. Frillz would have come home with me if I went >.< Sure! If you're paying XD

I wouldn't recommend the Pensacola Show though. It wasn't so fun as the one I'm used to. The bigger the city, the better the show'll be, I guess. The one I usually go to is AWESOME! There are so many vendors, with stacks and stacks of critters to sell, and almost all of them go to new homes smile

Warmer weather means more critters?

He spends most of his time in the tank in one of two places, sitting still under his lamp or sitting on top of the log on the cool side. I feel the same way about Uros that you feel about Beardies! Ever since I saw them and heard the temperament was a lot like Beardies, I have wanted on too! ...someday... Akari_32 imderanged The Ball Python is just about exactly what I want some day! Beautiful! The closest shows are NY or PA. When I went to the White Plains show, I had fun but I don't have much to compare it to. It was mostly snakes, and while I loves snakes it's not what I am MOST into. There were only FEW turtles/tortoises. Really not a lot of frogs either... a few dart frogs and pacmans. That's it. I saw ONE monitor lizard. Prices for supplies were not nearly as cheap as I had hoped, I might as well have gone to the local pet shops. No great variety in feeders either...I had been hoping to pick up special treats, but it was all mealwors and superworms, stuff I could get anywhere. It was still worth it to go thought, I got my russian tort Kilgore Trout and my Beardie VladimirPutinOnTheRitz! heart

LOL They weren't for sale, just for show. They were very well 'protected.' Fenced off, so you couldn't get with in 3 ft of them, and the Rattlers and Copper head (I think it was, not looking back at the pictures), were in a glass case, as well as the cups.

Awesome pictures, I went to one of the repticons that went on about mid November so many pretties to stare at. There also happened to be one vendor with mantises so of course I broke down and got one as an early B-day present.

Those are really cool pictures. You clearly have no preference for the Egyptian Uromastyx. Haha. Sooo many species I've never seen. One day I wish to try out a reptile. Preferably a chameleon. No time soon though, I've got plenty of pets as is. sweatdrop
