Night wasn't....just....what. He was so shaken up from the battle he had hardly payed attention when the mantis's fist came out of no where and knocked him on the ground. He hissed a bit at the sting of pain before rolling away and up, facing the boil again.

"You smell...nice scents...like food." He was only really latching on the parts that made him feel like the mantis boy was eyeing him like he was the next thing on the buffet table. Like...like he was kitten hor d'evour that had been stupid enough to get laid up all in this trap.

"I...Smell...NICE." Nope that did it, he was sure now, Yin was going to, if he won, eat him and enjoy his little cat meal.

He could just see it now, Big belly full, picking at his teeth with a toothpick and the only resmeblance of what your kitty boy here was a fluff of black hair and his green ribbon.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

He was too young to be eaten! Simone! and all his friends!

He wasn't going down with a serious fight! The hell he would be dined on by the new kid!

His leg reached up, overextending its reach to knock the boil back again. This time, he would be fighting not to be supper for real.

Yǐn Cáng stumbled back several paces, the smaller blows taking their toll. Still, he forced himself to return to his battle-ready position as he tried to make sense of the boil's speech.

He certainly does not think that I... A rather weird look crossed his face, and he spoke up quickly. "Just calm down Night," he said softly, trying to get the boil to settle down, nothing odd about that in the middle of a fight. "There is nothing to worry about, it was merely a compliment."

He reached out and cuffed the boil's ear. Getting distracted during a fight would do him no good.

Night was calmer...now. Now that he had processed everything.

Or was he calm? Maybe his hits we're getting stronger and stronger because the boil was terrified. STARTLED, if one must say.

So very startled. and the hit on the ears didn't help. WHO HIT HIS BEAUTIFUL EARS?!?



His response was to punch Yin right in the kisser.

"Please don't touch my ears unless your going to pet them." He meowed politely.

Yǐn was uncertain what actually confused him the most, the punch to the face which sent him stumbling back, or the request that he...pet the other boil?

He had heard stranger requests in his day, and just because weremantises did not like their ears petted did not mean that he should not oblige the other boil. Reaching out cautiously, and feeling more than a little foolish, he touched Night's ears.

Cats were weird.

Night grinned as the boil took a step back, surprised by the punch before staring at him.

What?

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? Night looked at the boil before his ears twitched. He hadn't particularly asked for them to be petted at that moment...he was just telling the boy that if he WAS going to touch any part of his ear, that it should be pets...Not like...CUFFING them.

He leaned into the pets as a small rumble begin in his throat before he gasped. NO THE BOIL WAS LURING HIM IN.

"NO! I WILL NOT BE YOUR DINNER WITH THESE TACTICS YINNIE!" Night turned and bit the boil's hands before moving back. Ack...weremantis's tasted weird.........

Yǐn cringed away from the boil, though whether it was from being called Yinnie or the bite was hard to tell. The black cat truly made him feel uncomfortable by making rather weird noises at him.

He was also well on his way to wearing him out, both mentally and physically.

The battle was beginning to get to the mantodae, and it took conscious effort for him to stay on his feet. "I did not intend to make you dinner," he assured, quietly thinking that the other boil was the one biting. I have not yet consumed lunch, so dinner has yet to enter my thoughts." He reached out, lightly hitting Night with the back of his hand to show him that he was still in the fight, though it was harder than ever to keep his hands up in a guarding position.

Night blank faced again as the boy cuffed him before sticking his tongue out.

"There will be no lunch or Dinner for you today then!" Night grinned as he came over and flicked the boy....on the nose.

He could feel the end of the battle coming near after all. It was windling down and Night knew...He would get to return home without being eaten.

Now the cat was just taunting him. Despite his exhaustion Yǐn felt something inside him snap. This boil was obsessed with him eating him, he had been the one to bite Yǐn, and now he was flicking him on the nose?

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Yǐn leaned forward to where those fingers were and snapped his teeth shut.

Night was feeling all sorts of confident, especially now that the mantis was close to losing.

But he got one last jab in, and this woould probably effect Night for the rest of his student relationship with the other boil.

He bit down on his fingers.

Bit. DOWN. FINGERS.

Like they were finger sammich's or something!

"AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE." Night freaked, lashing out to pull away, solidly connecting a blow with the mantis. HE WAS NOT FOOD.

The pure shock of being bitten had the ghost phasing in and out before he disappeared. In his place sat a very ticked off black cat.

"Don't even think about doing anything else Yinnie." Night hissed...in case the boil made another move.

Yǐn may have been barely standing, but at hearing the cat's scream he could not help but smile, revealing a nice row of sharp teeth before the cat hit him yet again.

He found himself on his knees, staring at a cat before he slumped forward, passed out cold but with the lingering taste of ghost kitty still on his tongue.

Night stared at the boy who had passed out, coming over to sniff at him before pressing his paw on his body. And then proceeded to climb on top, Claim his small victory before dragging the boy to the nurse's office.

Just cause the weremantis tried to take a bit out of him, didn't mean he had to leave him on the gym floor. So he deposited him nicely in front of the nurse's office before hightailing it out of there.

He had to consider it a lucky day, seeing as he won....
