Nagual-An + Fenrir + Swafi + Others (Soquili, Ayita, Wambli, Foalen, Kawenu, Kaliska)

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An bounced up to the bush. She had been eyeing it for days on end. Today was the day! It was now or never, for if she waited much longer, the berries would be gone (eaten by birds, humans, or other Soquilis...who knew). Grumbling, Nagual inspected the bush and decided to dig in.

The first berry popped in her mouth, which the young Soquili savored and sighed contently.

((Fenrir))
"hey watch it. that's -my- bush..."
A voice uttered, loud and sure. Soon a delicate green hoof laced with a gentle roseberry vine shook itself free of the bush and a young colt emerged, his head held up, eyes watching the filly.
Fenrir tossed his head and with a sudden movement ran at her, butting her away. He trotted back to the succulent berries and started nibbking on a few.

((Swafi))
A grey colt found himself trotting in the most random of directions, he had no where in particular to be nor to go. He hadn't wished to meet anyone nor see anyone but his eyes did lay onto a young filly, and a fine one at that. He tossed his head sending his black mane flying before nickering a little. She was interesting, and had her head in a bush?

He shook his head again and made his way towards the femme and the bush, oh she was eating, he could see that now. He then however saw a very strange and bright male. This wasn't how it was suppose to be! His ears flicked back and laid on his head as he listened, he stayed where he was, close to the filly and the colt but far enough away that he wouldn't interrupt either of them.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An jumped back in surprise when Fenrir emerged from the bush. Evidentally she hadn't done so enough, for she got some hair in her mouth when the brightly colored colt butted her away. Not taking offense to the action, Nagual was more interested in the magical appearance of the other Soquili.

Looking around, to see if anyone else had seen the miracle, she spotted another dark colt in the distance. Her eyes widened even further, "Did you see that? He.. just... appeared!" Looking back at Fenrir, Nagual put it to herself to investigate.

"Now... how did you just...appear like that?" Forgetting that she was warned away fromt he berries, Nagual also snatched a few more in her circle of the yellow-green colt.

((Fenrir))
He scowled, snapping lightly at her but she had already moved away again after taking the berries.
"What are you talking about?" His eyes narrowed at her as he also glanced to where she was looking at, but there wasnt any other.
Maybe she is a little unwell in the head he contemplated, so he decided to humour her...after all, weak soquilis wont survive long in the wild.
"Well he's gone now you see" and he turned back to his berries, lightly twitching his tail.

((Nagual-An))
Looking back, she noticed that the other colt indeed was gone. Frowning slightly, Nagual looked back at Fenrir. She toyed for a little bit with the berries in her mouth, making them last as long as they could. Letting the silence hold, the filly finally swallowed. "There was someone else there, but I guess they left now..."

Cocking her head to the side, Nagual inspected the yellow and green colt. It took her awhile, but she looked from him to the bush and saw that, in her dedication to the berries, he could have blended in. The filly perked her ears happily when the realization hit her, "You blend in with that bush!!!! And here, I thought you materialized from air!"

((Soquili - human))
The princess heard some ruckus by the berry patch and came over to investigate. It was a fresh dawn day, but some fog draped over the landscape like a thick curtain. You could only see a few yards away from where you were standing.

Soquili felt lost and didn't know the way back to her teepee. She arched her back against an ancient oak and watched the horses.

((Fenrir))
He twitched his ears in annoyance....blend in? whatever did she mean the insolent mare....
Her coat was splattered with dark patches and in an effort to try to chase her away he said," well you look like a bucket of those man made painty stuff fell on you."
Fenrir chuckled to himself, then a scent caught his attention and he turned lightly, eyes direct on a human female leaning against the tree. She looked like those strange two legged ones who always chase him around....he continued to stare, flicking his tail.

((Swafi))
The grey colt had indeed "vanished" he had spotted some lovely grass a little way from the other two and had also seen the human watching them but he cared not for her but for that stupid colt, someone needed to teach him how to treat a lady!

The youngster who was older then both the others cantered over to them both snorting at the male, "Watch your manners, you idiot. Didn't your mother ever teach you how to treat a lady, or maybe you need a brain transplant." He spoke harshly but then that stupidly coloured colt wasn't being nice, at all.

((Soquili - human))
A low whimper interrupted Soquili's thoughts. It was coming from the berry patch were the horses were. The sound began to get louder like whoever making it was in pain.

"I wonder what that could be...?"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An snickered at Fenrir's remarks, taking no offense, once again. Turning, she tried to look at her own coat, which was probably a humorous sight, "Do you really think so? I always thought they were quite fashionable to see!" Of course, she had never actually seen a human yet.

Follow the colt's gaze, she was in for a surprise. Nagual caught sight of the Princess, and although this was her first experience with a human -she did know what a human looked like, from stories-, her attention was taken once more when the supposed 'non-existant' colt returned, and in quite a huff, too!

Smiling broadly, Nagual turned her attention to the new arrival, although kept a flicked ear towards the human by the tree. "Ahh! So you did chose to approach!" Her expression dropping just a tad, she quickly surveyed the area in confusion, "There is a lady around?"

In her surveyal, Nagual caught the sound of pain. It was all so much for her to take in, so she wasn't able to fully investigate at the moment.

((Fenrir))
Fenrir scowled again, "who are -you-?! And whatever is a lady...you sound like one of the two leggeds! HAH, what are you a twolegged colt?"
The son of Dyami snickered. He was younger and slightly smaller but he can take on any soquili any day. The blood of a wild stallion ran through him and he flicked his tail haughtily.

((Swafi))
Swafi trotted towards the younger colt and bite his neck rather hard before his ears pinned against his head. He was hearing alot of strange things and he wasn't sure what it was, what any of it was.

"You need to grow up or you will get in trouble, learn some manners you idiot, or die, one or the other!" He snorted at the colt and then turned to the filly and bowed her head, "It is nice to meet you and yes I came over for he was being rude to you. However you are both to young to notice apart from, I must disagree with what he said, you look lovely!" His red eyes looked the filly over smiling she was pretty, all females were pretty! He then turned his head to look at the human and nickered towards her.

He turned from the filly and the colt, the sound in his ears was painful and he trotted towards the bush again, looking in it and sticking his muzzle here and there, he would kick that colt if he came and tried to remove him, something was hurt, right?

((Ayita))
Hearing the sound of something in pain Ayita lifted her head from her grazing and glanced over the herd of gathered soquili her expresseve eyes narrowing. Where was the sound coming from?

As she turned her head she noticed the princes and the berry bush at the same time. Making a quick decision she cautiously moved over towards the place where the sound was coming from ready to alarm the herd if nessisary.

((Soquili - human))
The whine became louder and Soquili thought that the other horses must of not heard it.

"Could it be all in my head?" she wondered to herself.

Then a small tail appeared out of the patch and the cry began to get sadder.

User Image

"Soquilis! A hurt animal is making that sound. I wonder how we can coax it to come out so we can help!"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An, almost scared now, could not ignore the cries. She flicked a smile to Swafi in thanks, but overall seemed very occupied.

It was then that she saw the tail in the bush and glared at Fenrir, "What did you do!?" She thought that since it was 'his bush' as he had claimed, that fault automatically went to him.

Tiptoe-ing forward, Nagual knelt down as best she could, "Are you alright? Hello? Did you need some help?"

((Ayita))
The sadness in the note of the sound impelled Ayita forward and as she saw the tail she gently pushed the branches of the bush aside with a forleg to see what was in such a mornful state.

((Fenrir))
It came as a surprise when he was bitten. No one has ever attacked him before! sura his father and siblings have tried to n** him occasionally but never as hard. For awhile a strange feeling came over him but then he realised this colt was nothing more than a filly chaser.
Anger flared briefly within him, how dare he attack a soquili of wild blood!
With such inteisyt in his eyes he lunged at the weirdly marked colt, knocking Nagual aside and he used his hooves and teeth to snap. He managed to n** the dark ear and nipped it neatly before letting go. "You're nothing more than a twolegged pansy, leave me and my bush alone!" he snarled.

In this moment he did not realise that others had gathered and in fact surrounded his bush from which a tail came sticking out from. He blinked his surprise for it seemed a tiny animal was whimpering. The wildness disappeared and in him the gentleness of his mother came as he trotted back and nosed around, sniffing curiously at the tail, "Are you alright little one?" he whispered.

((Swafi))
Swafi kicked at the colt, "Will you stop it, you have hurt something if this is indeed your bush!" He snapped and turned to the mare that wasn't too far off, he nodded his head saying hello and put his head back into the bush where he saw the little creature. He slowly and carefully nuzzled it with his muzzle, "Hey its ok, climb up me and we will get ya out ok!" He spoke softly and tried to move the bush abit to make sure the small animal wasn't tied up in any way.

((Soquili - human))
Suddenly..some sad eyes appeared out of the bushes..

User Image

The lil animal was still afraid to come out..

((Fenrir))
He narrowed his eyes at Swafi, thinking that this was a very turburlent colt who did not know the respect of others, after all didnt he approach them first.
A thousand replies came into his mind but with a sigh he pushed it down and muttered strongly, " if you weren't such a stickler to anything you'll see i was trying to help!"
He huffed and started picking apart the leaves and brambles with his teeth.

A pair of eyes appeared and similar green eyes stared back calmly. it looked like it didn't want to come out so Fenrir smiled, rare for him, but then he liked the other animals of the woods. Coaxing slightly, he nipped at some berries and laid it before the animal, hoping it'll be tempted to come towards the outside.

((Kawenu - human))
Kawenu sat close to gathering forces to rescue the small animal. It was hard to see past all the Soquili and owners to what the problem was. She heard someone shout about a hurt animal. Holding her Soquili basket close she frowned. She'd love to run out and help, but leaving the delicate foal alone with this much foot action would be foolish. Instead she laid the basket before her and laided down to try and peek between all the legs and feet to under the bush. Perhaps she'd get a good look at the poor creature. Maybe just her heart-felt sorrow would reach out and calm the poor creature allowing the others to tend to it's aid.

((Foalen - human))
Hearing the commotion Foalen came to see where Ayita was and found her stairing at the berry bush. Seeing the eyes he knelt down an made soothing sounds towards the little creature. Digging in his ever present pouch for a treat that might attrat the little one. He didn't come too close though so as not to frighten the creature.

((Swafi))
Swafi watched as the eyes appeared, he stepped back and looked at the filly then back at the little one. He lowered his head to the same height as the eyes and smiled, "Hey, do you need any help? We can try and get you our or something..." He smiled again ignoring the aggnorant colt. The filly had coaxed the little one so far. "Its ok we won't hurt you, we are not that harsh really we aren't. There was just a little problem, you are safe, we won't hurt you!" He spoke really softly and calmly he didn't want to scare the little creature.

((Soquili - human))
The lil animal sniffed and...
User Image

..popped his head out. His mouth watered at the tasty treat..

((Kaliska - human))
Kaliska had gone wandering for Swafi, where that colt had got to she didn't know but she spotted him and some others. She ran over quickly and then saw the little head, oh it was so cute! The girl couldn't speak, well she could but not very well so she resided herself to be mute.

She put one arm around Swafi and then sat next to Foalen, smiling at him. She then put her hand out to the little one slowly, keeping her hand on the ground and her eyes looking at the creature but not staring so not to threaten the creature. She made a small noise with her tounge and smiled at the little creature.

((Soquili - human))
The kind words kinda made the animal feel better but still he was a tad bit afraid...as he was hurt badly.

((Fenrir))
Fenrir sees a small foxy head popped out and tilted his own head. Seeing as it reponded to the tidbit held in the twolegged hands, he gently moved aside and nudged at the man to make him go nearer so the fox can smell the scent .
He wondered if it was hurt or merely lost.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An looked around. She was really worried: what was it that prevented the creature from coming out? If it was a broken leg or rib, she didn't want to make it worse...if the creature was simply scared, well...maybe charm would work... which meant Fenrir was out of the question.

Putting on a bright smile, the filly looked at the sad eyes. "Oh don't worry about the brightly colored one! I think he was just born like that, may be poor living conditions, who knows."

After a moment, Nagual chewed her lip and back away slightly. She folded her legs and plopped tot he ground and dropped her head, trying to appear as un-frightening as possible. Suddenly, the situation made her giggle, with so many trying to get into the bush. Almost forgetting the problem, Nagual looked around, "We all look kind funny, you know, all attacking the little bush!"

Creeping forward slightly, she avoided hooves in her path and stuck her head in the bush and pear in, her head resting on the ground. She could see the others trying to get in, but her attention was on the creature, trying to asses any damage that might have occured.

((Foalen - human))
Foalen carefuly reached forward far enough to place the treat in front of the bush without getting too close to the bush itself. As soon as the little bit of dried meat was in place he scooted back out of the way to watch what would happen.

((Soquili - human))
The big crowd gathering around alarmed the lil creature...
User Image

and he tucked his head back into the bush and shivered...

((Kaliska - human))
Kaliska and Swafi seemed to sigh in time with each other. The girl stood up and not caring if she knew everyone or not started to push Swafi, the other colt and the filly away. She couldn't speak and nor would she so Swafi knowing her well enough by now translated.

((Swafi))
"She wants us to all keep back, we scare it!" He nickered and kept back he didn't expect the others to but either way he did, he wanted to keep out the way. He watched the girl slowly walk back to the bush and sit down, she started singing softly in her native language. She didn't expect the creature to come out but she would sing in hope of soothing it.

((Foalen - human))
Making soothing sounds the shaman backed away a little more while motioning for Ayita to back away as well hoping his treat and soft sounds would lure the little one back out.

((Soquili - human))
Then he didn't hear much noise anymore so stepped out...
User Image

..there was a cut on his leg..probably from a bear trap that a poacher set up.

"Oh no! That cut looks serious.. I wonder if anyone can find some medicine but I'm not a shaman so I have no idea.." said Soquili.

((Kawenu - human))
Kawenu watched the poor creature dive deeper into the bush. Frowning more she decided there was no point in trying to stare at it. She was just making things worse. Standing, with the soft clinking of beads as the hung from long leather straps from her skirt of beads. Lifting the basket carefully she departed to about 50 steps away. She then placed her basket back down and sat beside it to watch. She would have difficulty watching it from this point on, but it would be better if she didn't get in the way.

((Fenrir))
Fenrir felt rather poorly, amidst all this gathering he seem to have been misunderstood and wondered if the fox felt just as scared as he does now, among the large soquilis and many two leggeds.
He thought for a moment, then calmly made his way around the bush and saw a little opening from where he had previously been grazing at. Sticking his small muzzle closer he whickered and whispered, "They may be large and different but I think they just want to help. Don't be scared...are you stuck? Are the brambles hurting you?"
He gamely started pulling apart the small bush, but slowly, so that the fox may have an opening. Then maybe the others can see whats wrong too.

((Kaliska - human))
The girl looked to Foalen, he looked like he would have an idea but she tried to coax the fox towards her, still softly singing. She just wanted to keep the creature calm, that was all.

((Swafi))
Swafi trotted over to the mare, Ayita, "What can we do to help, your human seems to know what he is doing!" Everyone wanted to help the poor thing right?

((Foalen - human))
Foalen was already digging in his pouch once more to try and find the right herbs. Finding a small clay pot contanining a salve and a neatly rolled hide bandage the shaman knelt down on the ground and slowly came towards the fox trying not to frighten it. "I mean you no harm little one. I only want to help you." He knew his words wouldn't make sense to the fox but perhaps the spirit in wich he spoke would reach the creature.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An crept further and further back. When the creature came out, and she saw the cut, the filly immediately frowned. "I dunno about specific medicines... but moss will definately soak up the blood and prevent at least further infection. Maybe one of the humans has something to wrap it with.... or, we can use the moss idea and I can sneak off one of my bands..."

Trotting away, the filly returned with some moss in her mouth. Keeping her distance, she waited for a verdict... that, and she wish she had opposable thumbs at the moment.

((Wambli))
Wambli trotted along, curious to see where everyone was today. Seeing the gathered crowd she slowed and walked over to find out what could be so interesting in a berry bush!
As she got closer, the black and gold mare caught bits of the conversation, and heard the little whimpers of fear and pain. She wished that Jewel were there, for she remembered him telling her that his horn could heal.
When the wounded one came out of the bush she was just as surprised as the others, and just as angry to see the nasty cut! AT the Princess' words asking for a shaman though, Wambli knew just who was needed. With a little whinny, she walked over to Foalen and gave him a little nudge with her nose.

((Soquili - human))
The fox wagged his tail and blinked at the strange critter with two legs. He had never seen anything weirder and felt no need to be afraid though. If it wanted to kill him..would of done so already... The singing kinda lightened his heart and his paws marched to the beat.

The pain in his leg suddenly made him howl and laid down.

((Fenrir))
the fox has finally made his way out, and there was blood around its foot.
Fenrir had no idea what a shaman is but he supposed those two leggeds would know what to do. The ones around his parents would often wrap strange things around them if they got hurt so he made his way around them and stood beside Nagual, "do you think it'll be alright?" he whispered, staring at the others.

((Foalen - human))
"We need to keep the little one calm. That would help alot. Foalen will need to treat him and I don't know how he will react to that."

((Kaliska - human))
She moved over to him softly and storked his head with her hand though she barely touched him, she just wanted to sooth the youngster. She then turned to Foalen and with her eyes pleaded with him to help the foz as she stroked it.

((Soquili - human))
He sniifed at the rolled bandage but it didnt smell like something he wanted to eat..he turned up his nose.

((Kawenu - human))
Kawenu almost cheered, but she instead just smiled. She began to re-tell the helpless Soquili in the basket how the critter was helped and healed. However she still remained far off to watch. Too many people would just frighten it more.

((Foalen - human))
Foalen smiled as he was nudged. "I'm working on it friends. But this little one might not trust man and I want to be careful not to frighten him too badly."

That said he moved forward and gently took the foxes leg in hand swathing it with ointment and the bandage.

((Soquili - human))
The fox purred as he was pet and no longer felt very threatened..stil his cut hurt and he began to lick at it.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An watched the humans at work (what her luck! Three... four humans in one day?). She looked at them a little wishfully, wanting those thumbs to help the creature, but feeling very inadequate. Looking over to the other soquili that seemed to be fond of the humans, Nagual smiled, "I'm glad they can help him!" Giggling lightly, she settled to watch.

((Foalen - human))
When he was finished with the bandage he swiftly reached into his pouch for another bit of dried meat to reward his little paitent.

((Kaliska - human))
The fox liked her so she continued to stroke him and just keep him calm with singing as the shaman did his work, she sang and sang. It seemed to be keeping the young fox calm. Oh please let him get better!

((Fenrir))
The strange scent made the fox more distressed. Still having some berries in his mouth, he rolled them towards the fox one by one. Maybe if it has the scent of the berries it'll let the two legged fix the cut in its foot.
Fenrir then turned his head to the side, he didn't what more he can do, so he waited.

((Soquili - human))
User Image

The fox felt so much better! His leg didn't hurt so bad ..but he felt sad. Last night he wandered into a bear trap and then finally got free because it was meant for the big legs of a bear..not tiny ones of a fox. He never had so many care about him until now and wondered what made him so special to get so much love?

((Nagual-An))
The moss, totally uneeded, went totally to waste. With a shrug, Nagual went to the task of eating it. Even though it was incredibly bitter, she choked it down and licked her lips when done. Nodding to the rythm of the song, the filly watched the shaman at work.

((Foalen - human))
Watching the fox being petted he smiled as he looked the bandage over. It was well wrapped and would hold but the little one would need to be looked after for a while until that cut healed.

((Kaliska - human))
The girl slowly and carefully reached down and kissed his forehead, Swafi trotted over slowly and nuzzled its head, the girl then spoke. "Its ok youngster, we will look after you." She could speak if she wished to, but it had taken along time to work out how to speak the words to the young fox.

((Fenrir))
With his foot all patched up, Fenrir smiled at the little creature. Every animal should be able to live their lives as was dictated by nature's orders of things. He wasnt sure how the fox got hurt so badly because there arent large predators around but he was glad the two leggeds were able to help. Atleast they are goof for something, he thought to himself. leaning forward until he sttled down on his hooves, he lightly watched the fox being petted and cuddled.

((Ayita))
"What's wrong," Ayita asked coming closer to the little fox wondering why he seemed confused and a bit unsettled.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual chewed her lip but smiled when the girl spoke. She was wondering how the creature got such a cut...surely a bush wouldn't have created it, would it?

Taking a chance, Nagual cleared her throat, "Does anyone know how the little guy that cut? Might there be any others who may have been affected by whatever it was the made it?" She looked around, not sure if anyone could hear her.

The filly was relieved that the fox was going to be alright. A good thing there were humans around... soquilis doing such bandaging might have been disasterous.

((Swafi))
Swafi looked up, "It looked like some sort of trap or something, Kaliska here has shown me them before, dangerous things, meant for creatures that kill us." He smiled at the filly and then looked back to the fox, nuzzling Kaliskas shoulder before turning back to the fox.

((Ayita))
"What is your name? My name is Ayita." The painted mare told the fox coming a little bit closer yet, but slowly so as not to crowd him. "How did you get hurt?"

((Soquili - human))
User Image

The fox felt sooo happy and wanted to be owned by the person who put on his bandage..it still hoped the girl would come and sing to him still..

((Wambli))
Wambli smiled to herself. She knew that the shaman could fix the young one! Now to make him feel better about being here amobg all the strangeness! She let out a reassuring nicker, low in her throat.
"It's ok, Fox-brother" she said, rustling her wings a little as she spoke. "No one here means you harm. The two-leggeds will care for you if you wish, or let you run back free if you choose"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual looked at Swafi down to the fox, "But surely, that little thing cannot kill us, can it?"

((Kaliska - human))
The girl backed off a little and smiled. She turned to Swafi and then to Foalen, nodding her head she turned and tried to lead Swafi away. Her eyes telling him they had done all that was needed. She bowed to the other people that were there and after a little bit of fighting lead Swafi away, they couldn't stay now, the reason she had found Swafi was to pick up more of those traps, he carried the ones they found on his back.

((Ayita))
Ayita nodded agreeing with Wambli, "Foalen will look after you if you would like to live with us. Though you are free to leave any time you wish as well. Still I hope you'll stay until your leg is healed."

((Fenrir))
The others were leaving....what an interesting day...no doubt the little fox will be housed with the tall two legged until it is better. Fenrir wrinkled his nose and whickered good health and goodbye to the little one.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual looked around. She saw that the fox was going with the Shaman and the painted mare. Still kind of worried, she looked around, wondering what the others were going to do.

Turning to Swafi, she looked at him and the girl, "Are you two leaving?"

Nagual giggled whens he saw Fenrir wrinkle his nose. Was it possible he wasn't all that rough around the edges and had a soft spot?

((Swafi))
Swafi turned and nodded, "Unfortunatly, my girl works constantly and I think that is what she needs me for. The shaman was lucky to be around that was for sure. The princess asked for a shaman and amazingly one arrived!" He smiled and then nipped the human with pleading looks. She smiled and kissed his forehead and nodded. She then turned to walk off but Swafi turned back to the filly, "Looks like I can stay!"

((Fenrir))
he glanced at the filly as she laughed and decided to make her laugh more so he twitched his ears and wrinkled his nose more. He was tired and anyway it seems he had ravaged his bush to help the little one. There should be another berry patch around the bend and he began thinking of the sweet juicy plump ones.

((Nagual-An))
Smiling happily, Nagual nodded her head, "Well, then, I am glad you will stay! I wonder who else will..." Tiptoeing back to the bush, Nagual stole some more berries. What could she say? They were good berries and perfrect for eating...

((Swafi))
He looked around, "Most came because of the fox, I guess most will leave now like my human. She will get Mahiri to do my work! How cool is that!" He chuckled and turned to the other colt, oh did he really have to stay?

((Nagual-An))
Nagual grinned at Fenrir again, berries -which of course were taken from the ravaged bush, but still juicy sweet- staining her teeth. Nagual-An looked at the two colts once again. She grinned... the original three were here, around the berry bush and in desperate need for a new one...one not so ravaged by soquili and human a like. One last attempt to swipe any fallen good berries, and Nagual lifted her head, some leaves stuck in her mane, "Search for more berries?"

((Fenrir))
He grinned at the filly, she seemed to be of no harm, a rather silly little thingy, she has her own charm he supposed. But that -other- one, he snarled inwardly. First he intrudes near my bush now he's giving me these looks. These two legged soquilis have no respect for the old law. He glimmered happily at his fathers tales of being in the wild, where each soquili can hold their own and share when times need to, and they never would attack a soquili like that one did. He wrinkled his nose again and got up, testily shaking one foot. The roselet shone a deep red around his ankle, and he turned away. As he passed the filly, he whickered quietly, "perhaps another day berry filly..." and trotted off to find his brother and sister.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An was sad to see anyone leave, but she assumed something else was calling him. With a nod, she watched Fenrir leave, "Another day, then!"

((Swafi))
Swafi watched the other leave, were they all leaving? He turned to the filly and laughed, "May I ask your name, I have been so rude, I am Swafi!" He chuckled, how could they have forgotten to ask each other their names? "I would love to go looking for berries with you."

((Nagual-An))
"I am Nagual-An. It is nice to meet you, Swafi!" She stretched each leg out and then her neck. "After all that excitement, I think berries would be a great treat...especially after the moss I just had..." Taking off at a slow pace, Nagual went in just a random direction.

((Swafi))
Swafi smiled and said her name, "Nagual-An, nice name!" He chuckled and trotted after her, "So anywhere we going in particular? Have you any idea?" He was kind of curious as to if she knew more about the place then he did as he rarely left his human.

((Nagual-An))
"Thank you, I think Swafi is a nice name as well..." Nagual looked around then back at Swafi with a twinkle in her eye. "I have no idea where I am going, I just....go....!" Grinning happily, she quickened her pace a little to a slow prance.

((Swafi))
Swafi chuckled, his ruby eyes looking at the fillys body in front of her. He caught up with her quick enough and soon enough he was by her side, his mane fluttering behind him as the wind blew softly around the two youngsters. At last, time to have some fun and get to another well!

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An, not aware of the colt's eyes on her body (not even really aware OF her body), pranced joyfully along the path.

It seemed as if out of nowhere, the filly stopped dead in her tracks and dropped her head to the ground. She giggled and nickered (probably a strange sound) at the view before her. A snail, with a baby on its back, and another trailing behind, was crossing the path.

"What a perilous decision, don't you think?" Nagual looked up at Swafi, although she kept her head low.

((Swafi))
Swafi chuckled and nodded, "Yeah I think thats probably right." He looked down at the snail and found it rather sweet that she had stopped for it as he wouldn't have even noticed the small creature.

His ruby eyes looked at the filly again and nickered slightly, "I hope you have some idea where you are heading, there could be problems otherwise! We might accedently trample some poor unsuspecting snails!" He chuckled at her playfully and flicked his tail behind him. He would wait for her to move once the snail had crossed, after all, ladies first!

((Nagual-An))
Patiently, the filly waited. Finally, the snails crossed and Nagual-An lifted her head. "Nah... I can spot the snails.... and I am surprised these ones were out, ya know?"

With a flick of her tail, Nagual pranced further down the trail. "Of course I don't know where I am going! Come now, Swafi! Where's your sense of adventure?" She looked back and stuck her tongue out at the colt.

((Swafi))
He chuckled and snorted playfully, "Honestly, these girls!" He chuckled and cantered to catch her up again. "So you go on adventures often then miss?" He asked all polietly, oh he was a funny colt that was for certain!

((Nagual-An))
Nagual snorted, turned her head, and stuck out her tongue, "I heard that, SIR!" She waited a few more strides before answering the question, in which case the filly unsucessfully shrugged. "I guess every day. I generally just live all over, not tied down. Free to do as I will..."

((Swafi))
He chuckled, "Do you have a human bonded to you? My girl is Kaliska, though we live with her brother and Mahiri, a fox mare she has a funny mate called erm.. Hania!" He chuckled and looked at Nagual, "Do you have anyone like that?" He tilted his head slightly and nickered happily.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual shook her head, short mane flopping, "I have no human bonded or anything like that. I just sleep under the stars and go where I please.... eat what I want." She sighed happily, "Ahh, it's the life!"

"Hania, eh? He is a character....." the filly giggled.

((Swafi))
Swafi tilted his head and looked at her, "you know him?" He was curious at this point as he had never met the stallion that his friend was mated to, that and he saw Mahiri as more of a mother then anything else as she had been there for him when he was born and so on, well not born but emerged from the basket!

((Nagual-An))
Nodding, the filly chuckled, "Yeah, I know him. I've met him a couple times. I have never met Mahiri, though. From what I can tell, though, he loves her very much!"

((Swafi))
Swafi chuckled, "Ah its true, they love each other alot though I haven't met him I only hear amazing things from Mahiri. Strange couple really..." He nickered and tossed his head a little before looking back at her, "So... where we going?" He wasn't too sure on the whole trot till you find something, he wanted to know where he was going.

((Nagual-An))
The filly was about to answer Swafi when something caught her eye. It was exactly what they were looking for! Nagual squeaked happily, "Swafi! Over here!" Happily, she bounced over to the berry bush.

Delicately, Nagual lipped at some of the berries, savoring their taste. "Mmm... I've been waiting all DAY for this! Come have some, they are perfect!"

((Swafi))
Swafi chuckled, so she was after something! He trotrted over and let one of the berrys enter his mouth, definatly nice tasting that was for sure. He looked over the filly next to him, she was pretty cool! "So you like your berrys then?" He had to start some sort of conversation or she would get bored of him!

((Nagual-An))
Nagual chuckled while she ate her berries, truly a difficult task. It hadn't taken her long before she had entirely stuffed her mouth with berries. When she tried to talk, it came out more like a mumble, and juice spread further around her lips. "Oh yes! I love berries! You see, they are so much sweeter than grass, clover, even corn.... and definitely more so than moss and bark. My days are usually pretty simple, I search for berries for however long I can. It is an adventure every day, per say. When I search for berries, I also meet so many others. So, it is routine to search for them now."

The filly grinned further, and a few drops of berry juice dripped to the ground. Finishing that mouthful, Nagual did her best to clean up her lips, licking this way and that. Her actions made it worse though, just spreading the bright red more than getting rid of it. She dug her head in again to fill her mouth and start again.

((Swafi))
Swafi laughed and started nibbling on the berrys as well as he listened to Nagual speak. "I dont meet many others, just Mahiri and her mate mainly." He continued to nibble but was very careful as he ate, he didn't want to get any berry juice all over him, he was a proud boy really, liked being clean!

((Nagual-An))
The filly was definitely too enchanted with her berries to worry about her looks. She knew she was probably a mess, but she didn't mind. All the excitement from the day! They both deserved a treat.

After finishing with her goring meal, Nagual stepped back. She didn't burp, but she also didn't need to. Leaning over, she plucked at some grass until most of the berry juice was off her lips. When she was dont, Nagual stood as tall as she could for Swafi to inspect her, "How do I look? Did I get it all?"

((Swafi))
"You look beautiful!" He chuckled and tilted his head, "So what do you do once you found that berries aren't satisfying enough?" He smiled having a feeling that berries were satisfied and then realised he had said that totally wrong, "Woops.. er.. I meant what do you do once you eaten the berries..." He flushed a little but it soon went, he didn't need to be embaressed around her!

((Nagual-An))
Nagual was about to ask how berries weren't satisfying enough when Swafi corrected himself. She giggled. "Well, as you have guess, the berries were very satisifying. Usually, I sleep some of it off, but that would be rude....." The filly looked aorund then lunged at the colt.

After a short nudge, she ran off and jumped a fallen log, "You're it!"

((Swafi))
He looked a little embarressed but when the filly nudged him he felt a little better. "Hey!" He chuckled and rushed after her, his mane and tail flying out behind him, he would get her, he would!

((Nagual-An))
Nagual ran hard. She was used to running. Even though she, at times, displayed her clumsy side, the little filly wasn't always so! She turned with a bend in the trees and continued further down the trail. Turning once, she saw that the gray colt was catching up! Shocked, she ran faster. Breaking out into a small clearing, Nagual picked up speed a little, no worried about fallen logs to slow or trip her.

((Swafi))
Swafi chuckled as they entered the clearing, he was better at running in the forests, she seemed better in clearings. This would be interesting. With all the strength he had in his small body he pushed forward, pushing his legs to move faster and he didi. He managed to catch up with her and nudge her before turning and running down towards the stream and back towards the forest. He wanted the advantage!

((Nagual-An))
The little nudge was just enough to set her off. Nagual tripped over her hooves and fell, rolling a few times before finally stopping. She layed there, shocked. After the adrenaline stopped coursing through her veins, the filly stood on shaky fet. Nagual shook herself a little bit to get the dirt and grass off of her.

Other than her current inability to stay balanced, the filly was otherwise unharmed. Seeing Swafi so far ahead, and not having the strength to chase after, Nagual whinnied in hopes to get his attention.

((Swafi))
He slowed and turned around just as she whined, a chuckle escaped him as he rushed back to her. "You ok there?"

As he reached her he tilted his head slightly and chuckled. He didn't mean to laugh at her but he always seemed to at the most annoying moments.

((Nagual-An))
She walked a few steps, slowly and deliberately. Nagual didn't want to fall again, at least not for awhile. One tumble a day is good enough for her, thank you. The filly nodded, her floppy mane sprouting from the motion. "I think I'll be okay..."

The filly stuck her tongue out at the laughing colt, "Yeah, mister, you go ahead and laugh! It must have been funny to see... but all I saw was grass... and dirt..." Secretly, Nagual was laughing too, she just regretted that she didn't have a very good view of the fall.

((Swaf))
He smiled and went over and nudged her, "It may have been amusing, but I dont want to laugh!" He nickered and nibbled on the grass, it wasn't the nicest tasting grass but it would do for now.

((Nagual-An))
At the nudge, Nagual feigned almost falling again. She shook her head. "Males... they just can't get enough," the filly teased.

When Swafi went to eat, she knelt and then plopped her stuffed body on the ground and splayed out, "I don't think I can eat another bite!"

Nagual-An + Tka-ih

((Tka-ih))
Today was a much better day for Tka. He had been fortunate enough to have met a few Soquili yesteday who hadn't flinched at the sight of him, instead being more intruigued by him than anything else. Of course, if they had encountered the herd leader's persona rather than his own (it was in there somewhere, right?) things might have been different.

However, for now, Tka could care less what might have been, he contentedly cantered his way through the forest, just glad to be finally able to do so in a refined manner. All his limbs were working in unison now, something which was a comfort, only a month ago he could barely walk two steps steadily. Muscles twitched under his sleek combination of pelts as he burst into gallop towards the clearing, his hooves thunder underfoot.

Reaching his destination, he reared up gallantly and cheered the only way he could, with a whinny that reverbrated with four or five too many voices. It was actually a good day to be alive...again.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An was resting happily in the clearing when a multi-toned voice sounded in the air. She could hear the message of "it's good to be alive" in it....but, geez, how was a gal supposed to get some beauty sleep around here!?

Twitching her still-short tail, and grunting with effort to sit up, the filly turned to the new arrival. With a broad grin, she snorted. "Hey! Some of us are trying to sleep here!" Nagual nickered. She never could be very serious... it wasn't in her nature. Her voice had too much of a laugh in it that betrayed her: the filly obviously was not mad.

((Tka-ih))
Tka had been sure he was alone, so it was with a mixture of fright and defiance that he swung round, still on his hind legs, dropped his forelegs to the ground and tilted his head in confusion.

He raised a brow at the filly, still surprised at not having seen her before, and, sheepishly flicking his ears back, said, with a placating smile "Sorry about that miss."

Either way, surely there were better things to do on such a lovely day than sleep?

((Nagual-An))
Nagual stood and shook the grass from her coat. She really had to look up to the stallion, he was much larger than her. With a childish grin, the filly bowed her head in acceptance to the apology, "No harm done, I suppose!"

Stretching each leg and finally her neck, Nagual flicked her ears at the many-pelted soquili in front of her, "So, what's so grand about today that you had to wake the whole world of your glorious news?"

((Tka-ih))
Tka was astounded by the matter of fact tone of this little female, she was still young but her matter of fact manner reminded him of the mare who had been stalled next to him back with the rest of the herd, she had spoken in a similar way, one that made him feel two inches tall and sheepish as hell.

He didn't even want to think that perhaps one of his legs had belonged to her.

"Ehehe...well, nothing really. I was just generally feeling good, glad to be still alive, that sort of thing."

No one would really understand how close he had come to never ever being alive again.

"But I'll be quiet, I didn't think anyone else was around."

He swished his silky blonde tail, truly his own and nervously pawed the ground with a hoof.

((Nagual-An))
"Ahhh!" Nagual nodded in understanding. "Well in that case, would you like me to join you? I cannot guarantee I would have quite the same effect, but I am sure I can hold my own."

The filly straightened as best she could. Her eyes twinkled in such a way that told of how she knew she was doing a poor job next to such a commanding figure. Letting go of the breath she was holding, Nagual slumped down to her more comfortable, shorter height. "I must admit, I cannot do as well as you... I'm sorry, I didn't get your name..."

((Tka-ih))
Tka grinned at the filly, amused by her upbeat attitude. Still, he was aware of their height difference and hated looming over another. So, carefully folding up his legs in that way only equines seem able to, he lay down on the grass, finally able to look the female in the eye. He was quite happy that he had managed such a technical feat with all his legs in co-operation.

"My name? It's Tka-ih" he used his assumed name, gradually over time getting used to no longer having many names but one single title.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual laughed happily with Tka's action. It wasn't that he looked funny getting down to her level, but it was more that she was delighted that he cared. She was tempted to curl up by him, but decided against it...he had already gone through all that trouble at his own expense to avoid her getting a cramped neck.

"Well, it is a pleasure to meet you Tka-ih!" the filly stopped laughing and was content to smile, like she always did. "I am Nagual-An!"

Orchu + Yei Ukema + Nagual-An + Hania

((Orchu))
Orchu dully opened his eyes; yawning widely. Where am I? He wondered; though not throughly concerned. The wind cascaded over the clearing and made the slender willow branches above him dance wildly. He tilted an ear back and frowned a tad. The ebony stallion remember last night had been unusually warm and he had decided to sleep under the willow instead of venturing to his teepee since he had been out so late. What did I do last night? Orchu thought in a dazed state. Shrugging his shoulders he yawned again and unsteadily rose to his legs. He shook his mane out and ruffled the feathers of his wings lightly. His eyes scanned the clearing in front of him for any signs of life. Orchu's ear perked up when he noticed a small gray and black speckled form lying in the tall stands of lush grass. He curiously began walking towards it. As he approached he noticed the creature was that of a soquili foal. Leaning down he nudged her shoulder with his nose.

((Yei Ukema))
It had taken a considerable amount of persuasion from the back of her mind to goad the front into even approaching the clearing. She had never been one to be anti-social but having resided on the outskirts of the clearing for so long she wasn't particularly used to encountering others of her kind, in fact, she had no doubt that she would have found it rather difficult to converse with any of her own kind.

Nevertheless, she gave a brief whicker as she flicked her gaze briefly across the clearing before sighting something in the corner of her eye. It only proved to give her a slight start and she abruptly turned her head round to point it in the direction of the ebony stallion, or more to the point, his wings - she couldn't help but feel terribly plain in comparison.

...Still, she was lucky in the sense that he seemed otherwise distracted by a speckled foal not that far away from her and thus she gave a brief shudder to remove the flies from her coat and gave a slight shake of her head to readjust the 'position' of the locks of hair within her mane.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual was resting soundly when she felt the insistent nudge to her shoulder. She bolted to her feet, accidentally banging the stallion in the neck with her head. Immediately, she fell back down, stunned.

Using the time to figure out what just happened, the filly looked around, "Who? What? Where? Why?"

Her gaze settled on the winged stallion. "Erm, hello..." she blushed slightly. Finally getting to her feet, Nagual also spotted the red mare in the distance. She turned to the dark stallion once more, "Did you bring someone else with you?" Nagual nodded her head in the other direction.

((Orchu))
Orchu snorted indignatly as the young filly startled and bashed her head against his neck. "Hi. Hm? What's this about someone else?" He inquired raising an eyebrow sardonically at the speckled filly. Tilting his head increduously he followed her gaze upon a red mare. Orchu flickered his ears forward and whinned lightly to the unfamiliar mare. He pawed at the ground with his hoof a bit and swished his tail. "Hello." He chimed lightly to the mare. Looking between the two females he stated, "My name is Orchu." Uncomfortably he rustled his wings.

((Yei Ukema))
Startled, yet again the red mare gave a shake of her head, the suns rays causing the orange and yellow tressles riddled within the depths of her red mane to ripple in response to the abrupt movement before they once again settled into a relatively still, yet hardly dull form. It was only after this shake of her head that she arched her neck briefly and surveyed both with what appeared to be a critical eye.

"Yei Umeko." She replied at last in a surprisingly calm voice, full and rich despite evident discomfort in the way she held herself. Still uncertain as to how they might act towards her she had taken it upon herself to be as reserved as possible and by the way in which the stallion appeared to be acting...

"I apologise if I have interrupted you." She offered at last, her gaze flicking between the two before resting on the stallion's wings again - he had wings!

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled encouragingly at the mare. She was conpletely intrance with the utterly striking appearance of her. "Hello Orchu and Yei Umeko! I am Nagual-An, and I am glad to meet both of you"

Bowing her head, the filly looked to Orchu, "I am truly sorry for running into you...I am usually not so incredibly clumsy." Even though she was serious, the little giggle that erupted from the back of her throat would have said otherwise to the statement.

Again, Nagual turned to Yei Umeko, her eyes soaking up the rich colors. "I must say, Yei Umeko... Your color is amazing! I don't think I've seen anything so pretty!"

((Hania))
Hania yawned as he shook himself to wake up. He wondered what he was going to do today, so galloped away from his forest home and into the usual area where most Soquili met, new and old. "I'm hungry," he mumbled, and looked around for some food before spotting three different Soquili. One red mare, a black stallion that looked strangely familiar and he couldn't put down why, and a little spotted filly. "Why is it that every time I come out here I see different Soquili in groups?" he said aloud, and chuckled as he trotted closer to them but stayed away a bit to watch.

((Orchu))
Orchu nodded at the red mare. "You have interrupted nothing." He said flatly; scruitinizing her. "My pleasure to meet you Yei Umeko and Nagual-An." He bowed his head momentarily. Orchu's eyes wandered back down to the foal as she spoke to him. "It is fine." His words were betrayed with a hint of reproachfulness in his gleaming steel eyes. The stallion caught a glimpse of a familiar golden stallion trotting towards the group. Orchu blinked and neighed lightly to him. "Hania my brother!" Orchu nodded his head upward and swished his tail.

((Yei Ukema))
So many, they all appeared at once and she fought to remain in control of her composure as she tried to adapt to the sudden accompanyment of so many of her own kind. It was with a delicate whicker and another bob of her head that she politely side-stepped the one who was apparently named 'Hania' and turned her gaze towards Nagual who, despite being so young carried herself surprisingly well.

"I fear that due to my colour I lack the ability to blush sufficiently but I assure you that I accept your compliments with gratitude." She offered her first equine smile of the day towards the young one and released another of herdelicate whickers as she glanced towards the two stallions, both of which gave off the illusion of being terribly gruff.

"Are all stallions like this or is it just when they get older?" She asked curiously towards the mare who she assumed would jest in the same manner as she, even if the stallions did not appreciate the observations from a lowly mare and a filly.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual watched the interaction of Orchu and the one deemed 'Hania' with about as much interest as Umeko. Smiling brightly, her eyes gleamed, "So proper, ma'am." The filly nodded again.

Turning the conversation to the apparantly brother soquili (?), Nagual chuckled, "Quite frankly, I cannot answer. I have only met one other stallion before -besides my father-, and a few colts. I haven't had the time to compare the differences in ages... or even male interactions. I have a feeling that this is indeed a common practice among the males." Shaking her head jokingly, the filly feigned disappointment in the masculine gender of the soquili race.

((Hania))
Hania quirked an ear when he heard his name come from the stallion. He blinked. And blinked again. "Orchu?" he said in wonder as he moved toward the black stallion. "Orchu! It really is you! You grew up!" Hania's eyes were wide in shock. He still couldn't believe his little brother was all grown up. "Orchu, who are these ladies," Hania asked, turning to smile at the red colored mare and the cute spotted filly.

Hania quirked his ears in the weird way to show that he was "raising his eyebrow" like a human would. He had been listening in on the conversation between the females and glanced at Orchu for an explanation. "I didn't know the female species hated our guts," he said out loud, and bluntly was well. Turning, he grinned. "If my brother has mistreated you, forgive him, please. I'm Hania." He bowed, his traditional way of greeting females, especially pretty mares.

((Orchu))
Orchu smirked. "Yes I grew up and now I doubt the term little," He cleared his throat meaningly as he emphasized the word. "Brother is now fully appropriate." He chuckled softly and nipped at Hania's forelock. Orchu raised an eyebrow at his brother. "It is not my place nor your's to assume all female soquili dispise us. However I have in no way mistreated Yei Umeko or Nagual to my knowledge." Turning to the ladies he bowed his head deeply. "If I have offened you ladies I am truly sorry and apologize for my bluntness." Orchu snorted lightly. It is not my fault Polar has kept me in solitude for the past month. The stallion thought begrudgingly.

((Yei Ukema))
Her eyebrow shot up at the bows and after a few moments she released a giggle and lifted up her foreleg so that she might allow the other to slide down slightly into a bow of her own. Needless to say, as she lowered her head in accompanyment of this motion she couldn't help but snicker - it was only when she straightened up that she seemed to have recovered her composure and chose to gaze at Nagual more so than the males to continue with her little charade.

"Alas, it is true that the general populace of males all appear to be terribly grumpy - what are poor females like us supposed to do?" She sighed dramatically and tossed her mane as she looked skywards before at last allowing her gaze to flicker towards Orchu and then Hania.

"My dear sirs, I am terribly offended by your actions but just this once I will forgive you." She cooed and gave another toss of her mane, her eyes twinkling with mirth as she seemed to grow accustomed to the company of her own kind, "But I do warn you it will not be so easy next time." She continued before lowering her hoof back to the ground again with a small smile.

"And it is nice to meet you, Sir Hania - I am Yei Umeko."

((Nagual-An))
Nagual couldn't contain herself. It was a pity she didn't have a long mane to hide her smile behind. Immediately, the filly was engrossed in the mare...she had a lot to learn about the woo-ing of stallions! She watched everything as a little child might watch a Raindance for the first time.

Finally, it was time for her to say something. Nagual managed to cough and compose her face -failing as well- in a serious expression. "I guess I will forgive you too! I am Nagual-An... and it is a pleasure to meet you Hania, brother of Orchu!"

((Yei Ukema))
Yei muttered something about rabbits and wandered off in a stupor.

((Hania))
Hania smiled. He'd never met flirty mares before, so Yei Umeko was interesting. "It's a pleasure to meet you, beautiful Yei Umeko, and young Nagual-An, it's a delight to greet a pretty filly." He laughed at the way he was named. "Ah, brothers we are but in spirit. Orchu just happens to be more elegant than I am in that he has beautiful wings." Hania always envied the flyers of the Soquili family.

"Alas, poor me, I have met with such a sturdy mare who has seen through me," Hania said, winking at Orchu. "And such a young filly to carry herself in such a proudful manner, I am ashamed to have tried to catch you!" Laughing heartily, Hania flipped his mane to the other side of his neck since his feathers were tickling him. Prancing a bit, he grinned at the mares before looking at his brother in concern. "I haven't seen you for so long, I nearly didn't recognize you at first. I admit you looked familiar though, Brother."

((Orchu))
Orchu snorted an eyed the mare. "I wouldn't say grumpy; a more proper term would be stern or something along those lines." He tossed his mane irritably. "However I except your forgiveness with appreciation and will do my best to remain.... pleasant if that is what you wish of me." Orchu pawed at the ground and sighed heavily. As the filly spoke Orchu smirked casually and tilted his head. He could tell she was merely mimicing the mare and didn't have truly defined feelings upon the matter; or so it seemed. The stallion nudged the speckled foal gently and nickered softly. Orchu caught his brother's wink and smirked to himself. Hania was certainily a ladies' man if one ever was. "It is true brother for we have not seen one another in ages. I however recognized you immediately by your gleaming coat." Hania's pride came strictly from his ego and Orchu felt it might be necessary to give it a slight boost.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual rolled her eyes at Hania, "I think pretty hardly describes my decor!" She grinned, "Maybe something more like scrumptious or fillet-men-yon!"

When Ukemo mumbled her words and ran off, the filly seemed to pout for a moment. The gesture was lost, however, when Orchu nudged her. It was a comical scene to see the filly maneuver her gangly legs to remain upright. She turned to the winged stallion and gave him a sterm look, although her eyes laughed, "Is that any way to treat a lady?"

----------

Nagual nipped at one of Orchu's feathers playfully. She took one of the non-required ones for flight. Because her father was a wind soquili and she had stolen a feather or two from him, the filly was an expert in not causing any harm.

Jumping back she bowed to the two stallions and ran off, "I hear adventure calling me! It was a pleasure to meet you both... and thanks for the feather, Orchu!" She winked and then was off, her crazy legs whipping beneath her.

((Hania))
Hania grinned to himself with the way Nagual-An told his brother off. "Ah, the spiciness of female sternness," he laughed, and then smiled at his brother. "My gleaming coat? Hardly!" he snorted. "Mahiri--my fox-colored mate--is so playful, I hardly stay clean any longer! She's a beautiful, playful mare, though, and I do believe you might expect a neice or nephew..." Hania hinted, laughing.

Hania watched as the filly ran off. "Farewell, young Nagual-An, I hope we meet again," the golden stallion called out.

Nagual-An + Loki + Hania

((Nagual-An))
Nagual trotted through the trees. After the past few days, she figured they were the best place to try and run into other soquili. The sunlight peeked through the trees and dappled the forest view.

A butterfly crossed the path. Immediately, the filly stopped and watched it flutter around, and then away. Probably the with the attention-span of a gnat, Nagual was off...her mission forgotten. It was all about the butterfly and the filly giggled and chased after it.

((Loki))
What to do? hadn't been a very prominate question as of late, which was both relieving and surprising to the fair colored stallion. Isilme provided a much-needed dose of humor and company, giving him little time to ponder over the more trivial matters in life. But alas, here he was... meandering through the brush, alone, and bored, and without much of any idea what to do with his newfound time.

A gusty snort signaled his discontent, though the random wildlife carried on as though they scarcely noticed. "I wouldn't mind some company, you know," he muttered as he tilted his nose toward the forest's canopy. The birds nesting there ignored this too, and continued to chirp their melody with total disregard.

Sighing heavily, Loki dropped his muzzle and allowed his posture to slouch a little more than usual. He had been trying not to think of it, but found himself failing miserably: where was Isilme? And why was he worrying about it when he knew well she was a grown, independant mare, and he had plenty of other friends to occupy his time?

Annoyed with himself, and newly discouraged, Loki paused in his absent wandering to take in his surroundings (which he had been ignoring until then, as ill-advised as it was). It was a pretty day; the temperature felt just right, with spring more bravely announcing its presence. The forest here was less crowded too, almost mimicing clearing in the way the trees were spaced so sparcely. There was even enough room to run, but he didn't much feel like it.

Apparently someone else did, though. It was difficult not to hear the sound of crashing underbrush. Loki merely flicked an ear at it, only partially interested at first... Until he saw hints of a form peek between the trunks. Was that a Soquili? His interest piqued, the stallion took a tentative step toward it, testing the faint breeze as he scented it. "Hello?" he called suddenly, sounding surprisingly cheerful to his curious ears.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual heard the hello through her entrancement of the butterfly. In fact, the sound almost scared...she hadn't realized anyone was around.

When the filly turned to the sound, she forgot about her feet and stumbled to the ground. Rolling head over hoof, she sat up and looked in the direction. Immediately, she spotted the grey stallion.

Standing, Nagual shook out her legs and took a few tentative steps, "Well hello! You scared me, there...."

((Loki
He felt himself cringe involuntarily as the filly (he realized then) went tumbling. Oops! That wasn't his intended reaction. Perhaps he should have approached a little less boldly; he could tell she had been distracted. Oh well, no turning back. She didn't seem much worse for wear, anyway.

"Er, sorry..." Loki took a few hesitant steps in her direction, bowing his head apologetically. "I hadn't meant to startle you. Are you okay?" He recalled foals were amazingly hardy, but she had just gone rolling across the forest floor... Either way, it couldn't hurt to be polite. Not that he'd approach it any other way.

"I'm Loki, by the way. Hopefully I haven't left too poor an impression." Why was it he always met others through less than ideal circumstances lately? While it did keep life interesting, he had been handing out quite a few apologies. More importantly, he was just waiting for the one individual that took him poorly. He really wasn't too keen on the idea of someone disliking him over an accident; it wasn't his fault. Or was it?

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled broadly, "Well, no harm done! I promise, I am not usually so... clumsy..." Of course, while she said this, her eyes twinkled in a way that explained she has in fact doubted her 'clumsiness' and been proved wrong many times.

By now, the effect of the fall had worn off, for she was indeed like a new sapling.... as long as a limb didn't break in half, it was fine. "Mine name is Nagual-An, and it is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Loki!"

((Loki))
At least she was unharmed. Loki bobbed his head in understanding at that, and offered a welcoming smile. "I'm glad. And I'm sure you're not; don't worry." And if she was, he was none the wiser. The stallion was certainly a pleasing type... Perhaps too much so, at times. But was there such a thing as 'too nice'?

"I see," he said simply. "Well met, Nagual-An." And... he had no idea what to say from there. It was rather unlike him; he generally had a very easy time with conversation. He wasn't quite himself either though; remnants of his prior distress flashed through his mind. Loki shook his head to shoo them, displacing his faded mane with the motion.

Struggling to come up with ideas, he took a stab at something random: "What did I interrupt, if you don't mind my asking?" It was shallow for his tastes. Small talk. But it was something, and who knew... Maybe it would open the door for something more interesting. It was at least better than nothing at all.

Loki took the lulling silence as an opportunity to cast his gaze elsewhere, at the brightening sky that poked through the leaves overhead, and washed the covered ground in sunlight. It would be afternoon soon, he realized idly. And he readjusted his posture then, shifting his weight and resting one limb lazily against the earth.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual looked around. "You interrupted some-.... Oh yeah! The butterfly. Well, you see. I was just around the forest.... which I have been doing a lot more recently... and then I saw this butterfly. It was really pretty. I chased after it and then" she shrugged, "well, you know the rest."

"May I ask what you were doing out-" again, the filly paused in mid sentence. Her eye had found something in view and she wanted to check it out. Completely forgetting her manners, Nagual walked up and sniffed it. It was a fig that she had had before...sometime in her past. Without another thought, she pulled a piece away and grinned happily. Turning, her mouth full of the stuff, she asked, "Oh my! Loki, did you want some?"

((Hania))
Hania yawned as he trotted out to the Soquili commons area, so to speak, and glanced around. Again, he would have to search around to see if he could find anyone he knew. He hoped he could meet some of his friends that he hadn't seen in a long time, truthfully--maybe he should take a look around.

As he trotted, he spotted a very familiar stallion along with a very familiar young filly. "Hm? Loki!" Hania called, surprised to see one of his first friends. "Oh, and if it isn't the noble young Nagual-An." Hania smiled, and made his way over to them.

((Loki))
He was a little surprised she actually remembered what she had been doing. She crossed him as the sort to get easily wrapped up in whims and drop them shortly after, paying them little or no thought from then on. "Butterflies are very pretty," he agreed, nodding slightly.

The first stab at conversation had been a bit of a flop, he noted with a hint of sadness, but there was some hope yet. "A whole lot of nothing." Loki's tone was a cheerful one, despite the disappointed mood of his reply. "Bored and lonely, you could say. And no butterflies in sight."

And that was random. He tilted his head at her, grinning with a raised brow. "No need to save some for me; I'm fine. Thanks though." In truth, he wasn't too fond of the root. It was one of the many things he discovered as a foal and didn't find very agreeable.

Another voice - a familiar but not-quite-forgotten one - pulled his attention away from the filly. He turned fully toward its source, hoping to spy the Soquili on the other end. "Hello, Hania," the stallion said with a smile as his gaze settled on the other. "It has been a while." A surprisingly long while.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual giggled, "The more for me!!!" She collected some in her cheeks and then walked back...just in time to hear Hania.

When she turned and saw him, she spat out all her figs. The glinted in his mane and stuck to his fur from all the filly-drool that had encased them. "Noble? Young? I have you know I am old enough to.... okay, maybe I am a little young...." Nagual eyed the stallion, all her pieces of root all over her. She broke down laughing.

The filly started laughing so hard she fell to her knees. Finally, her hysterical attitude simmered down and she had resorted to hiccups. Getting back on her feet, Nagual smirked at Hania, "Oh, I'm sorry... must have been the 'noble' factor kicking in."

((Hania))
Hania laughed and shook his mane a bit. "Thank you, O young noble one," he teased. Sobering slightly, Hania greeted Loki. "Loki. How long has it been? Too long, my friend. How are you these days?" Hania hadn't seen the stallion in ages, and he had sorely missed Loki's stubborn personality.

Loki was a tad stoic, but he didn't mind. It was how most stallions were; he had yet to meet more than just Intrepid (who acted a tad like him) who were more open and friendly. "So then, Nagual, are you not so noble as to greet me in a more nice way?" he asked, eyeing the filly with amusment in his eyes.

((Loki))
'Enjoy' would have been his automatic response... but he didn't have time for it. Nagual seemed to have other plans, he soon discovered. And poor Hania, on the recieving end. "Well done," he said instead. "It could be a good look for you." And actually, it would appear the other had more than figs about him. He had spent some time acessorizing, had he? The roots, though... Part of him did want to laugh outright at the absurdity, but the part of him that was relieved it wasn't him forbid it. He merely grinned instead, holding in his amusement.

Hania seemed to take it in stride. "Too long," he confirmed with a bob of his sculpted head. "I have been alright, I suppose. Well, not alright. - I'm doing well." There was a lot and yet nothing to catch up on at the same time. His life was a rather uneventful one. "My sister disappeared; I haven't quite decided if I enjoy it, or I should be worried. Maybe a little of both. A friend has been staying in the forest with me as well." And was he ever grateful for it. "And you?"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual stuck her tongue out at Hania, "Well, I would have a more appropriate greeting, but where is the fun in that? It is good to see you, though!"

Loki's tone took a saddened tone. To lose a sister? That was such a horrible thing to have to deal with. "I hope your friend has been helpful... I am truly sorry for your loss, Loki..." the filly bowed her head, not sure of the what response was appropriate.

((Hania))
Hania nipped at the filly teasingly and then looked at his friend in concern. "Loki... that must have been tiring. You have a friend with you? I'm glad." Hania didn't like it that Loki had lost his sister. He wondered what happened to her. He'd never met the mare.

"Who is your friend?" Hania was always eager to meet someone new, though sometimes his stallion nature made him competitive. He'd met so many Soquili's, there were some he could hardly remember ever meeting.

((Loki))
He was so certain in Kali's safety, he couldn't help but chuckle at Nagual's remorse. Hopefully, it wouldn't cross her as offensive, but his amusement was obvious. "She's off doing whatever it is grown sisters do when they don't have to worry about their brothers. It's okay, Nagual."

Was it callous of him not to be concerned? He certainly hoped nobody would fuss over him if he decided to take a leave of absence. "Really, it's nice to have some peace for a while. - I'll go looking for her tomorrow, okay?" This was intended for the filly, in hopes of soothing her worries.

Hania's following question redirected his attention though. "Isilme," he said simply, a new smile lighting his features. "I would be surprised if you've met her. She was just passing through, and sounded rather shocked to hear there are other Soquilis here at all."

((Nagual-An))
Nagual jumped from Hania in a taunting manner. "Well, I am just not feeling the love here...." she smiled, not taking the words serious at all.

With a both, the filly nodded to the stallions, "I do hope to see you two around... and I wish you all the luck in the world with your sister, Loki! I am sure she can fend for herself, as you've said." She jumped forward and gave her luck to the stallion as an innocent peck on the cheek. With tail held proudly, Nagual ran further down the path to find another adventure.

((Hania))
"Good bye, dearest Nagual-An," said Hania, and then turned his head toward Loki. "Isilme? I... I think I've heard of her. She sounds interesting." Hania watched Loki for a minute, then smiled. "Loki, do you... have a strong interest for her?" Hania was always up for matchmaking, though he didn't do it himself.

He himself had been so unsure of who he'd love for his mate, and Mahiri had been his chosen. He couldn't help it; he loved her more than anything, and would do anything in the world for his fox mare. Shaking out of his thoughts, he waited for his friend's answer.

Izusa + Nagual-An

((Izusa))
Izusa wandered away from where the human woman was standing - she looked too boring anyways. Yzsma padded over, slipping under the tendrilled tail and up near Izusa's front legs. She looked around, sniffing the air for any Soquili's near. She had still yet to find any that looked remotely like her, and had travelled far from the Village.
But for now, she was hanging around to see if there was a chance she could steal fruit from someone's teepee.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual didn't really want anything to do with anything that might cause foot fungus....even though she didn't have feet to catch the nasty stuff, the filly did not want to risk it!

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a creature that she had never seen before in all her life. Completed interested, Nagual trotted up. When she finally reach it, she was still unsure on what it was, the filly nudged it with her nose, "Are you real?"

((Izusa))
Izusa had up-ended a basket, finding a few ripe apples that were in the bottom of it. She was just munching on one when Yzma yipped, alerting her to someone approaching. The kalona mare turned as the filly touched her with her nose. She blew air through her nose at the spotted filly.
'Yes I am real.' she spread her bat-like wings, beating at the air with them a moment.
'Why do you think I wouldnt be?'

((Nagual-An))
The filly smiled when the other, who she now knew was female, asked her the question. It seemed funny for her.... how could such a creature be real? "Well, to be perfectly honest, I've never seen anything like you. You look like you may be a Soquili, but maybe one that was unsure what you wanted to be... a bat? a goat? I cannot be so sure.... What are you, exactly, if you don't mind me asking?"

Nagual was not about to miss the food that the mare before her had gotten into...maybe if she asked she could get some? She debated this question while seeing what the mare would tell her.

((Izusa))
Izusa snorted, as Yzma snickerd..oh the Kalona wouldnt like that, the vulpine thought. She sat on her tail, waiting for Izusa to answer.
'I am neither of those.' she expressed, contempt colouring her voice.
'I am a Kalona..I am unique,' she stated proudly. She chewed on another piece of apple, her tail flicking on the ground close to the filly.

((Nagual-An))
"Well, it is nice to meet you, Unique! I must that, that is an unusual name." Nagual smiled, thinking that that was the Kalona-soquili's name. "I am Nagual-An." She noticed the fox, finally and dropped her head to greet the animal, "And who might this be?"

((Izusa))
Yzma rolled over on the ground, pressing her paws against her front as she laughed in a barking way.
'My name is Izusa,' she said between gritted teeth. Were all fillys like this? She didnt remember being this dense.
'She is Yzma.'

((Nagual-An))
Nagual never lost her smile...although she rarely did anyways. With a giggle, she nodded, understanding entering her mind. "Izusa? Well, that's a much better name that Unique. I didn't think one as exotic as you could have a name as such. And Yzma? Well that is pretty too..." after noticing the fox rolling on the ground, the filly frowned and looked back up at the Kolana, "Is there something wrong with her? She looks like she's in pain!"

She crept forward and tried to sniff the fox, just to make sure. An apple was nearby, so when she stepped back -after getting a paw in the nose-, Nagual snatched it up.

((Izusa))
Yzma snapped at the curious filly, wriggling to her feet and shaking herself.
'Yzma was laughing.' Izusa explained, finding patience from who knew where not to chew on Nagual herself, though she did appreciate the compliment given on her name.
'Stealing apples as well?' Izusa canted her head to one side. Maybe this filly could have her uses. She was young enough for any theft to be overlooked as a folly of youth, maybe she could make usage of the silly little thing.

((Nagual-An))
"Stealing?" Nagual asked through her munchings on the apple, relieved that nothing was truly wrong with the fox. "I didn't steal... did I?" She swallowed the last of it and frowned up at the mare, "I saw you do it, and assumed it was acceptable. Although, I never knew that eating an apple could be deemed as stealing..."

The filly reached down and grabbed another one, just waiting to be smited from above for doing something wrong.

((Izusa))
'Yes,' Izusa chuckled, flapping her wings before letting them settle again. Yzma had slipped off by now, wending her own way across the Village to find the food she liked.
'I didnt ask to have these apples,' she kicked at the basket.
'And the human that lives here isnt mine.' she indicated the teepee they were stood behind with her head.

((Nagual-An))
The filly tried to shrug as best she could, "So... the apples were just sitting there. There was nothing guarding them... and why does it matter if the human living nearby is your's or not? If that's the case, can you 'steal' a human as well?"

Nagual looked around, trying to see if there was anything around here that should prove otherwise.

((Izusa))
Izusa was surprised. Most of the Soquili she had met she knew would denounce her act of filching food from all over the Village as a terrible thing to do to the precious humans.
'You certainly arent as goody goody as the other's of your kind around here.' Izusa remarked.
'Lets go, its boring here.' she clipped off slowly.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual giggled at the retort, "Well, actually... I am not from around here. I don't come here very often. I usually stick to the... less inhabited -I think is what I've heard it called- regions."

When the Kalona walked off, Nagual quickly ran to catch and trotted at the mare's side. Truly, this was a magnificent Soquili...still very unlike anything she had ever seen. "Of to where-ever then?" she piped from her shorter height.

((Izusa))'I don't even think I'm from around here. When I said I was unique, that meant that I was the only one. That can't be right really,' Izusa mused to herself as she led the filly from the Village and towards the river. She could hear the flowing water in the distance and headed for it, the air cooling as they drew nearer.

((Nagual-An))
"Well..." Nagual mused, "you have to be from somewhere.... and I am sure there are more like you! You're too pretty to be the only one, you know... how can the stallions compete?" Okay, so she didn't exactly know the ways of the male-folk, but she knew some.

When they started to approach the river, Nagual could begin to hear the water. Her ears perked forward and she lifted her head higher, reveling in the cool air.

((Izusa))
Izusa clipped down to the river side, watching the swift flowing water.
'Well it isnt possible for me to be the only one I guess,' she admitted.
'After all, where did I come from?'

((Nagual-An))Nagual delicately put a hoof in the river. For once she had balanced herself correctly and the water just flowed around her hoof instead of grabbing it and pulling her in.

Giggling at the sensation, the filly looked up at Izusa with a broad grin. "Where does anyone come from? Their parents, of course! Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they don't exist..."

A small fish zipped past her hoof, tickling the little bit of furred fetlock that was under water. With a squeal, Nagual jumped fromt he water and rolled on the ground laughing.

((Izusa))
'I knew that..' she grumbled, watching as the filly dipped a hoof into the edge of the flowing water.
'But you arent the only one of your kind...and I am as far as I know, the only one around this silly Village.'

((Nagual-An))
Nagual turned back to the mare, her ears drooped along her head in regret. "I am sorry about that. If I could change it, or show you otherwise, I definitely would. Unfortunately, I cannot even travel as far as you can in a certain time period, due to a lack of wings. Surely, whereever I can go, you could go faster and sooner."

Cheering up with her words, the filly smiled again, "But it is not the way to live... reflecting on things we cannot change. Wouldn't it be better to enjoy the time you have instead of thinking of 'have nots'?"

((Izusa))
'I don't care, if I'm the only one then I am even more special.' Izusa said, showing off her terrible vanity. She splashed throw the shallows, the water clinging onto her shimmering pelt.
'Besides, I don't think the Village could cope with more then one of me. You are only the second Soquili who hasnt seemed just a little afraid of me.'

((Nagual-An))
Nagual followed in after the Kalona. The water clung to her in a much less graceful manner. The filly looked like a drowned rat where the water clung. She ignored it, not really knowing what she looked like at the moment; nor did she really care.

"The second? I would imagine more. Are the incredible differences that bad to them that they cannot see the beauty? Regardless, the loss is on their part, not yours." She dropped her head and took a sip of water, relishing the feel of the freshfully cold water as it trickled down her throat.

((Izusa))
It was peculiar..despite her assured arrogance in her looks, she was also still slightly uncertain of herself...far back in her confused conscience that is.
'Well thank you,' she said, stepping out of the water again, her voice uncommonly gentle. She snapped out of it, and shook her mane.
'I see their fear because of my differences.' she said.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual lifted her head and turned to the mare when she heard the unexpected 'thank you'. Water dripped from her whiskers. The current curled around her legs and the wind tossled her short mane and tail.

The filly gave an impish smile, her eyes twinkling, "Well Izusa, miss Kalona currently of nearby the Kawani Village.... should I fear you because of your differences?"

((Izusa))
Izusa snorted;
'No you should fear me because I might n** you with these,' and she showed her fang teeth, before splashing water at the filly. She found herself actually liking this spotted foal...which was annoying to her as she promised herself not to befriend any of the normal Soquili.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual saw the flash of fang before she was splashed with water. For all she knew, though, it was really just the specific was the sun glinted off the Kalona's teeth. The filly grumbled about being wet, the water soaking some parts of her coat but not others. "Awww...how am I going to impress anyone now?" she chuckled and shook her fur, making it worse. The wet parts stuck out while the dry stayed flat. Catching her reflection in the water, Nagual laughed harder.

Because her legs were too thin and knobby, her tail too short and hair-like, Nagual had nothing at her disposable to repeat the favor... well, that didn't stop her. Dunking her head in the water and closing her eyes, the filly tried to get Izusa wet. her attempts were pretty pathetic, as with her eyes closed she didn't have good aim.

((Izusa))
'I suppose they cannot...when you are afraid - that's all you see.' Izusa flicked her tail again, catching the water with the tendrils. The water was cooling against the skin, but she knew not to stay in too long for fear of cramping the muscles in her legs.
She rustled her wings.
'Does no one comment on your horn? That is a difference from the other's...the ones different are a small number to the more ordinary of the Soquili.'

((Nagual-An))
Her thirst satisfied, the filly walked out of the river. At the banks, she shook her whole body. Much of the water sprinkled off, but the lasting effect was that her hair stood on end. Nagual didn't mind, and she chose to ignore it... besides, it had been awhile since she last washed off!

"Hmmm?" Nagual looked over at the Kalona. "A horn?..." Not completely understand, the filly mentally shrugged it off. With a grin, she nodded, "Oh, I've only seen a very few number of 'different' soquili... too bad I am not one of them. I would love to have wings, and soar through the sky... Although, if I was flying I would probably miss seeing my berries."

Nagual-An + Mentha

((Nagual-An))
Today was not such a great day. Nagual did not have the protection that many other soquilis had: a teepee. While she still didn't mind, it did affect her usual cheerfulness... who can be so cheerful with a sodden coat from the heavy dew that surrounded the area?

The filly walked around in the forest, where there was a little bit od santuctuary near the trees. She tried to walk through prickly bushes every so often in an attempt to slacken the heaviness of herself.

((Mentha))
Mentha was walking through the forest having a great day. She was waking slowly so she could look at everything she could find on her way and admired it. A big smile could be seen in her face. She had no idea what had made her this happy, all she could remember was that she woke up like this. But since it made her feel great she didn't bother to think of it too much. As she kept walking she found a brook and decided she could use some water. She bent her head down and felt the cold water in against her tongue. It was delicious so Mentha took one gulp after another, enjoying every one of hem.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual heard the the crunching of another soquili's passing. She followed the other until it stopped by the brook and took a drink of water. Not wanting to frighten the brightly green mare, the filly cleared her throat noisily to get the other's attention.

((Mentha))
Mentha raised her head and looked in he direction where she had heard the noise. In front of her stood a gray and black Soquili. "Hello there" Mentha said. She looked at the other Soquili and smiled while turning around and walking towards her. "Have you been standing here for a long time?" she asked. She had never noticed when the other Soquili got there. Perhaps she was good at sneaking, or maybe Mentha had been daydreaming too much again?

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled and shook her head, short child-mane flopping in all directions. "No, I have not been standing here long. In fact, I just got here. I didn't want to scare, though... knowing me, I would have tripped and fallen into the brook and gotten even more wet."

Nodding slightly, the filly looked up at the mare, "I am Nagual-An, by the way."

((Mentha))
Mentha laughed and gave Nagual a warm smile. "I would probably have done the same thing. Thank you for the warning." She then remembered what the filly had said her name was. "Nagual-An? That' is a very beautiful name you've got. My name is Mentha" she nodded her head and smiled again, still in a happy mood.

((Nagual-An))
"Well, Mentha, it is nice to meet you!" Nagual smiled, "And thank you. I think my name is pretty too, although I have no idea how my parents came about it. It is definately not one that followed family traditions, now is it Kawani. Oh well, I guess."

The filly stepped forward and took a drink as well. Already, her day was looking brighter. Just the company of another, and one as bright as Mentha, was helpful.

((Mentha))
Mentha knew her own name had some special meaning to it, but she didn't entirely know what. She often thought about it, but figured it must be some strange language she had never heard of before. She turned her attention towards Nagual again. "So, do you live close to here?" The reason she asked was because she had never seen or met the filly before. Mentha rarely stayed in one place for a long time, so she wouldn't meet other Soquili too often though. Sometimes that made her a bit sad, but when she finally met someone else her mood always got a lot better.

((Nagual-An))
She shook her head and nodded at the same time, causing more of a circular motion. "Well, I guess I am, but I am not. I don't have a place to tie down to. I just sort of stick around here. I've had incredible luck meeting people, so I return."

Eyeing the mare, the filly asked the same of her, "And you, Mentha? Are you from around here?"

((Mentha))
"I'm like yourself, don't have any special place to call my home. I just wander around the woods or something like that. I'm very fond of this place though, so I hope to settle down here eventually. That's the main reason I stay here" Mentha nodded her head, hoping the filly understood what she had said. She knew she sometimes made strange explanations, but was in fact hoping this was not one of them.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual shook some dew from her coat at the response. "Well, I hope you find a way to settle... unfortunately I have no intentions of that. I don't like the idea of being settled into one area. There is just too much to see and do. I guess I may be a little old-fashioned." The filly giggled at the expression...here she was a little foal and she was talking as if her values lied in the 'old ways' of the soquili.

((Mentha))
"Thank you." Mentha gave Nagual a warm smile and giggled at what she had said. "I'm a bit like that as well, I like being "free", but I would still love to have a place to call my own" she nodded her head. It was confusing, even for her, but it was how she felt. There is so much to see in the world, but so little time to do so. She had decided to explore as much as she possibly could in this area though. She was lusting to see new things, especially if it had something to do with plants, or anything related to nature at all. She was very fond of nature and had alsways been. It was something she had had in common with her mother once.

((Nagual-An))
The filly smiled warmly. Truly, she thought it was age that brought on such differences in opinion in these matters. The young wanted the world, while the older wanted a home.

All of a sudden, Nagual perked up. She remembered where there were some berries nearby. "Hey! Do you want some berries? I know exactly where we can get some!"

((Mentha))
Mentha pricked her ears when she heard what Nagual said. "Berries?! I would love some!" The mare started to trot on the spot where she was standing. "Which direction?" Mentha was really excited. She had been searching for berries ealrier this morning, but had to settle for some grass instead.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual took off at a bouncy prance in the location of the berries. "I have been watching this particular bush for some time now! Birds have gotten to parts of it, unfortunately, but there are still some berries around them. I hope there isn't another crazy experience."

Looking over her shoulder, the filly smiled at Mentha, "So, you like berries?"

((Mentha))
"I'm actually very fond of most of the things I can find in nature, but berries are one of my favourites though" she nodded her head while following the filly. She stayed close to Nagual since she didn't want to lose her new friend, or the berries. She smiled to herself. If she had to choose between the berries and Nagual, she'd probably choose the filly. It wasn't every day she had the oppurtunity to talk to someone, but berries could be found in many, many places. And besides, berries didn't talk back to her.

((Nagual-An))
With an excited laugh, Nagual through her head in the air, "Good then!" She winked at the mare and continued on her way. "Berries are probably the fruit of life... and they definately know it. They sit there and taunt you...daring you to pick them before they are ready to be eaten. But waiting, oh, the joys of waiting for them!"

So caught up in her praise of the berries, Nagual almost missed the bush. She dug her hooves in and hope the mare would stop in time... if not, well, she would just be on the ground; which was something she was quite familiar with.

((Mentha))
"You're absolutely right!" Mentha was really excited now and almost missed the fact that Nagual had stopped. She quickly jumped to the side to avoid hitting her. "Oops, I almost had a clumsy moment" she said and laughed. "Is the bush around here?" Mentha looked around and tried to find it.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual blushed slightly, "Yeah... clumsy moment.... right...." She tried to make up for her mistake. Relieved to have the topic move to the berries, the filly pivoted and swung around. "Yeah! The berries are right over here!"

She walked this time, careful not to miss her position again. Finally, she spotted the bush, only to find it in ruins. It looked as if a large bear had sat in it and rolled around. Nagual was almost in tears. "O no! The berry bush!" The filly ran to it and nudged it delicately with her nose, "Maybe there are some that can be salvaged... there has to be at least one that is still good..."

((Mentha))
Mentha saw the bush and thought she would fall into shock. Who would do that to a beautiful bush? And the berries!? Mentha's jaw was dropped as she kept looking at the bush.
After what had felt like an eternity had passed she closed her mouth and turned her attention towards Nagual. "It's ok Nagual, I bet we can find another bush. Perhaps we can find one close by?" she said and hoped it would make the filly feel a bit better.

((Nagual-An))
Sniffing and refusing to cry, Nagual nodded in defeat. "Nearby.... yeah..." she mumbled in a rare bout of depression that she had fallen into. With her head drooped, she stepped back and away from the bush. She spotted one perfect, shiny red berry nearby. Her ears perked and she looked over at Mentha. With a nod of her head, she gave a half smile, "You should have it!"

((Mentha))
Mentha smiled at Nagual. "Thanks, that's really sweet of you, but I think you should have it. You went through all this trouble to bring me here." Mentha nodded her head. Afterall, she had probably eaten a lot more berries in her life anyway. She smlied to herself and pushed the berry towards Nagual with her nuzzle. "You've earned it"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled slightly, fully this time. "Awww! Well, thank you!" Carefully, the filly bent down and licked up the berry without catching anything else that might mar the berry's perfection.

Savoring the morsel, she swished it around her mouth and then swallowed. Feeling much better and refreshed after the treat, Nagual was ready to try again and find an in-tact berry bush. "Umm, let's try this way!"

Turning, Nagual was off again at a prance in search for a bush.

((Mentha))
Mentha was glad to see the filly happy again and followed her in the search of another bush. Mentha smiled and looked at Nagual. She was such a sweet filly and her mother must be really proud, knowing Nagual would be become an outstandning mare one day. Mentha hoped Nagual would get an opportunity to see all the things she wanted to see too. To her, dreams were important. The filly had made Mentha sure of what she should do. She would search for a home, sometime soon. Mentha knew this is what she wanted deep inside. She kept thinking of things similar to this as they made their way through the forest. "There!" Mentha suddenly cried and trotted towards a bush filled with beautiful, red berries.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual was secretly depressing over the bush. She had tended it for so long now, and then everything was ruined! So, when Mentha cried out, the filly literally tripped over her feet and fell to the ground...getting herself a mouthful of leaves and dirt in the process.

Looking up, she looked around in shock, "Who? What? What is it, Mentha?" In her fall, she had completely forgotten what they were doing. It was a miracle she had remembered the mare's name.

((Mentha))
Mentha watched Nagual fall to the ground and giggled. "Are you alright? I found a bush for you, it's right there" she said and nodded her head in the direction of the bush. "Isn't it beautiful?" Mentha had a big smile in her face when she said that. She trotted towards Nagual to help her up if she needed it.

((Nagual-An))
The filly rolled like she had an itch she wanted to get out.... acting as if the fall was intentional, "Oh yeah! I'm fine, just had an itch!" She rolled back to her feet and stood, shaking dirt and leaves from her coat. Nagual's eyes saw the bush, and became round almost immediately. A sliver of drool escaped her mouth, "It. is. very. beautiful....!"

Cheveyo + Naugal-An

((Cheveyo))
Cheveyo moved through the ankle-high brush a little ways from his keeper's residence. Muzzle to the dirt, the stallion busied himself with finding a sufficient snack in the somewhat barren foliage he was rummaging through though he wasn't too optimistic on this early morning trek.

It's like the berries all up and ran away. He snorted and stirred up a puff of dirt, audible thoughts muffled by the ground below his hooves.

((Nagual-An))
Agh! Nagual had woken up this morning and found that she had in fact grown into a mare. Her once short mane was now long and silky, yet wavy like a flutter soft sheet of tanned hide. She was taller too, and would no longer need to look up to everyone. Her clumsy body had turned into that that was sleek and graceful. Yet, as Nagual inspected herself in the water, her head close to the surface, she still had her childish eyes and ever present grin.

Snorting, splashing water everywhere, the mare giggled as droplets settled on her face. She put her head closer so only her nose was immersed below the surface. Bubbles sounded and tickled her face as Nagual resisted the urge to take a deep breath and laugh.

When she paused, Nagual heard the muffles of someone nearby. Immediately, she was alert and looked around, trying to find the source. Not seeing it, the mare walked off in the direction she thought it was coming from.

What she found made her laugh. A brightly spotted stallion was rummaging around, "Well, you'll never find anything that way, will you?"

((Cheveyo))
Well, I might... Cheveyo began responding without even realizing, until he noticed the figure that had just approached. Oh! He stuttered in surprise, bashfully spitting out the twig he had been frustratedly gnawing on. He was embarassed beyond belief that he hadn't noticed her sooner.

He cleared his throat and trotted out of the brush in an attempt to save his dignity. I don't suppose I was looking in the right patch to begin with. Chevy quirked an eyebrow as he got a view of just how unimpressive the search area had been, though admittedly he hadn't been trying too hard anyways. Sorry if I uh... bothered you or something. My name's Cheveyo. The stallion bowed his painted head, messy striped bangs sliding over his tawny eyes.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual shook her head, some remaining drops flopping around, "No, no! You didn't interrupt anything...." the mare giggled, thinking of how she was only blowing bubbles in the water. "My name is Nagual-An!"

The mare eyed the stallion warily, seeming almost afraid to ask, but her eyes sparkled with curiosity, "What were you doing, if I may ask?"

((Cheveyo))
Cheveyo snorted in a chuckle, finding it amusing she'd be so interested in what he was doing while he was attempting to hide the foolishness of it. I was just looking for berries. Some grow nicely in the cool weather, and I'm growing tired of dry wildgrass. Smiling sheepishly, the stallion straightened his neck so as not to seem too shy or introverted. He didn't have many friends afterall, no need to scare away potential ones.

What exactly... were you doing? He countered the question just as hesitantly, noticing her wet muzzle. Though when he did, he turned his eyes to the bushes again to ensure he wasn't making her uncomfortable by staring.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual chuckled silently, the motion slightly vibrating across her body. Well, there was no way back now... he had caught her, even though the act was done. With a bright smile, the mare looked at the stallion and shrugged, "Just blowing bubbles in the water." The way she said it, as if it were just normal, everyday stuff, it was hard to think that it was a strange thing to do.

The word 'berries' clicked in her mind, and Nagual looked around, "Berries? You found berries!?"

((Cheveyo))
Cheveyo stared blankly for a moment as the thought sank in, unbelieving that mares partook in such activities on a daily basis. He really didnt know much about the opposite gender it seemed! Oh, well that sounds like fun. The stallion naively smiled, figuring nothing was awkward by it.

He flicked his long, black-tipped tail and glanced towards the direction Nagual was frantically scanning. Yep. They may taste a bit bland, but a sweet nugget is worth the effort to get away from dry root grass! With a chuckle the painted stallion trotted his heavy frame into the bushes again, intent on finding the best berry to show the mare. There we are. He gestured with his muzzle to a plump red berry dangling from a bush's branch.

((Nagual-An))
So, Nagual wasn't quite sure on etiquette. She gently nudged past Cheveyo to go an look at the berry. The mare leaned down, her eye level with the plump, red berry. She looked up at the stallion throw her mane and smiled, "Did you want to do the honors?" Nagual could only motion slightly for she was a bit too close to the bush to do much more.

((Cheveyo))
Cheveyo backed off, making way for the energetic mare. He didn't think any of her shove, his nature convincing him that he must have been in the way and clearly at fault. Oh no, after you. The stallion idly pawed his hoof as he peripherally watched her inspect the small fruit, turning over the trampled grass to amuse himself. Dezba offered me a breakfast meal when I return, so I shouldn't snack and ruin my appetite.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual didn't ask about Dezba. Never having a stable meal routine, the idea of refusing food was unheard of! She lifted her head back up and stared at Cheveyo as if he had grown an extra limb, "You... you don't want it?" The mare couldn't even look at the berry busy at the moment. The news shocked her to her core.

((Cheveyo))
Cheveyo felt the blood drain from his face, a plastered, blank expression of confusion. Well no, I meant... it's good, I mean... you can have it because... not that you have to... He was having great difficulty spitting out what he was thinking, fearful that he had somehow insulted Nagual without realizing it. He decided to clench his jaw shut to prevent himself from saying anything else stupid, staring wide-eyed at the mare in await of her reaction.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual felt bad now. Cheveyo look absolutely horrified. Her face melted from one of shock, and a little horror, to concern with a tint of cheefulness. "I, umm.... I didn't mean to scare you. It's just, well.... you're not hungry? How can you ruin a meal... this is a meal."

The mare smiled, almost giggling at her strange outburst. "We can share them.... that way you won't get too carried away eating them and ruin your appetite," Nagual winked.

((Cheveyo))
Cheveyo managed to regain his composure and the colour in his face when he realized the mare may not have been as upset as he first thought. That's a good idea. The stallion responded, anything to hide his embarassment. Watch for thorns! He smiled before bowing his head down to n** off a few berries using his front teeth and bring them into his mouth.

Thelerian + Nagual-An + Yei Umeko + Helaku

((Thelerian))
Should I? Shouldn't I? Thelerian thought to himself as he came across a very irresistable spot on the ground. It was a perfect piece of ground for one to roll oneself on and yet...

Thelerian gave his surroundings another glance. Elan was off hunting and there weren't any other soquilis about. Not any that the painted stallion could see that is. Finally making up his mind Thelerian took a deep breath and sank to his kness. Placing his head among the tall and sweet smelling grass felt so good. Soon, the painted stallion was having a fine time stretching and rolling; nevermind that his mane was soon entangled with bits of grass and twigs...

((Nagual-An))
Nagual-An and her berries.... there was never a more perfect couple! More so, it was finding the berries that occupied her time so much. Lately, though, she had not been having very good luck in her hunting. The berries simply were elusive, and yet, it did not dampen her spirits one bit.

The mare thought she saw a berry bush and went straight for it. Pouting once she arrived, Nagual saw that the bush had been stripped of everything. Over the top, however, she saw a stallion rolling in the ground... again, and again, and again.

With a giggle, Nagual walked over and smiled down at him, "I heard that if you roll a lot, you can get bald-spots all over your body.... of course, if could just be a rumor!" Her broad smile hinted to the fact that she was joking.

((Yei Umeko))
It was an interesting thought, or at least she considered it an interesting one as she descended the mountainside and savoured the cool air that embraced her as she slipped beneath the canopies of the forest at it's base. She had finally recovered from her bed raggled state and was more than delighted with how carefully Achak had tended to her yet his overly excited chatter was really quite peculiar...he kept talking about raccoons for some unusual reason.

Releasing a sigh, the firey female picked her way through the undergrowth and for a time, failed to heed any of the sights or sounds around her until she picked up the curious and rather familiar voice a distance away from her.

Nagual-an?

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she came to a halt and strained to hear, for some reason the girl sounded more mature but then again how long had it been since they had last spoken? She smiled at this and eventually shook her head, quite a while she expected and it was with that in mind that she began to move forward once more with the intent of being reunited with an old acquaintence.

There was just one more question in her mind: Who was she talking to?

((Thelerian))
Huh? Someone was talking to him! And not to mention in this rather embarassing situation! Jerking up with the speed only available to one who has been caught doing something one would rather others not see Thelerian quickly spun around to see the source of the voice (nearly tripping over his legs as he did so).

"I did not see you coming....," the stallion barely squeak out before he felt blood rushing to his cheeks. Oh dear....How would he ever live if Elan found out about his? Shaking his head to rid himself of the grass and twigs that were in his mane Thelerian once again apologised to the female soquili. "I'm really s-sorry... I-I did not know you were there....,"

((Nagual-An))
If anything, the stallion's discomfort only made her giggle. Granted, she did have to jump out of the way to avoid being collided into, but Nagual didn't mind.

When her giggle-fit ended, the mare looked at Thelerian questioningly, "There is no harm done, and I am not sure why you are apologizing so profusely! If anything, I should be apologizing for come up on you so suddenly.... But I am not surprised you did not see me. Rolling with that much enthusiasm would definitely cut out the rest of the world."

With a smirk, and her pink eyes twinkling with humor, the mare bowed her head slightly, "I am Nagual-An, by the way."

((Yei Umeko))
Aha! It was Thel, a grin flashed up onto her equine lips and she shook her head - now wouldn't those two make such a cute couple? Such thoughts always popped into her head now and again but she couldn't help but be a hopeless romantic most of the time, it must have been the influence of a certain companion at her own teepee which caused such unusual thoughts.

Hmm.

She broke into a trot at this and picked her way with careful precision across the under growth to avoid disturbances before once more slowing to a more peaceful gait as she reached them.

"Well, well, well!" She announced in the typical cheery voice in which she held, "Here are a pair I haven't seen in a while!" She added, ducking beneath a low branch so that she could pop her head through a particular 'bush' to glance at the pair, her brow quirking at the state of Thel and then the matured Nagual.

"I hope you haven't been up to anything I wouldn't do." Yei replied devillishly as she eyed Nagual, a twinkle in her own youthful eyes to denote that she was of course, jesting.

((Thelerian))
"Ah...a-and I'm Thelerian....Thel for short. Please to meet you miss... Nagual," Thelerian replied nodding. A few more stray twigs fell out of his hair and the painted stallion dare not even look to see how his tail was faring. Having a rather long tail meant that a host of unwanted things could be found entangled there; especially when one was rolling about as he had done.

A sudden sound of clip-clopping hooves and a familiar voice too caught his attention and directing his gaze away from Nagual Thelerian spotted Yei (or Yei's head which suddenly appeared from a bush); the firey young mare who always seemed well groomed. "Oh...errr... hi Yei...," Thelerian replied.

Noticing that Yei had greeted Nagual with familiarity the stallion raised an eyebrow. "You two...know each other?"

((Nagual-An))
One of the twigs that was tangled in Thelerian's forelock, hanging on his forehead in a blind spot for the stallion, was really beginning to bother her. Nagual reached forward and plucked it out. "Well, it's good to meet you, Thel!"

At the sound of Yei's voice, the mare perked. "Oh, Yei! I'm so glad to see you again! How are you... and how do you manage to always be without stallion followers around you? I would imagine you'd have a hard time beating them off!" Of course, Nagual was trying to change the subject from 'her' love life to the other mare's.

Smiling over at Thelerian again, Nagual nodded, her silky mane flopping around her face childishly. "Yeah, we know each other. I met Yei when I was just a wee-little filly. I haven't seen her in quite awhile, though," she pouted slightly and gave Yei a pathetic look.

((Yei Umeko))
Yei seemed remotely uncomfortable at the mention of her own lovelife and after a few moments she simply released a chuckle and slipped out of the bush so that her firey red coat was perfectly visible, "Nagual, you should know by now that males -" She paused as she sought out the right words and then shook her head, there was really no simple way to explain the issue she had with males.

"Males enjoy my company, they find pleasure in my manner but I am not suitable material when being considered as a mate." She pointed out blandly and gave a shrug, her gaze flicking towards Thel who was, once again looking relatively uncomfortable.

"I promise she doesn't bite either Thel." She murmured softly.

((Helaku))
A lanky grey stallion dwindled at the forests edge, large chocolate eyes set on a small group of Soquili. He contimplated going over toward them, to try and strike up a conversation, or to meddle on his way, not disturbing anyone. He, being a bit of a loner, didn't know very many others, so it caused a bit of a disadvantage when he was faced with social situations.

Snorting, he tossed his large grey head anxiously, stomping a forefoot. Yes, I'll do it. He delcared to himself, trotting toward the others at a brisk pace.

"Hello. I'm Helaku."

He told them, his deep voice softer than usual as he felt their eyes on him. This was a bad idea...

((Thelerian))
"O-of course she ... does not...," Thelerian replied giving Yei a sheepish laugh. Was he really acting that freaked out? Taking a deep breath Thelerian tried to recollect his wits when suddenly Nagual stepped forward and gently took out a twig from his forelock. Stepping back in mild supporise and blinking a few times the painted stallion then noticed yet another soquili coming their way.Oh no...more company thought Thel before shaking his head. This place was different than the rest. Animals here were a lot more civilised and besides, Thel had made up his mind to try and be 'more socialise' as Elan had put it. With that in mind the painted stallion observed the approaching soquili.

The approaching soquili was a fine young stallion. Strong and confident looking;the two things Thel did not exactly feel right now in his present state. However, Thel noticed that the male too seemed unsure whether his presence was welcomed or not.So trying to sound friendly Thelerian whinnied a soft greeting.

((Nagual-An))
Unlike the males, Nagual had no problem with more company... in fact, she loved meeting others! She couldn't resist turning to Yei and sighed emphatically, "Come now, don't say that... you never know what goes on in private". The mare winked then turned to where Thelerian greeted the other.

The mare raised her head and eyed the approaching stallion, "Well hello, there!" Her voice had the ever-present hint of a happy smile in it.

((Yei Umeko))
You never know what goes on in private...

Now what was that meant to mean? Yei could only stare at the young mare in a dumbfounded sort of way before turning her gaze towards Helaku for a few moments - granted the young mare had already beaten her to the formal greeting but alas she did offer a smile and a bow of her head to show that she was more than happy with his company.

"I suffer from the same problem as my companion I fear, he rather seems himself as the 'just friends' type, whereas I appear to be the female version of that." She jested and released a small chuckle before at last shaking her head.

"I bid you greetings though," She turned to Thel again and grinned, "She really doesn't bite dear but she sometimes gets cravings for the tips of Male ears." She mused, her expression firm and serious as though she was telling the truth...when in actual fact it was complete and utter nonsense, "Do try to keep your head above hers, yes?"

((Thelerian))"She... bites male's ears?" repeated Thelerian who instictively pulled his back eventhough he knew that Yei was probably joking. Turning to Nagual Thelerian let out a small smile. " Yei is joking right miss...Nagual?"

At that instant, Elan who had been hunting returned. "Thel! And Yei and ...?" the hawk asked as he landed on the stallion's back. " I don't think we've met before miss...unless of course Thel's is keeping something from me," the avain said looking at Nagual then Yei and finally Thelerian.

"We've...just met....," Thelerian replied. "Nothing else Elan....,"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual sent a positively bone-chilling glare Yei's way, "Now, was that entirely necessary? Now they are going to think I am a cannibal or something." It was also obvious that the mare didn't mean a word of it, for her face took on a slight smile soon after. Turning to the stallion, she shook her head, "No, I don't eat or nibble on or bite ears. Yei's just teasing. She's just upset no male has offered their own ears to her."

She smiled brighly at the hawk's approach, "I am Nagual-An. I am going to assume you are Elan?"

Nagual turned back to Yei and giggled, wrinkling her nose at the mare.

((Yei Umeko))
Did Nagual just accuse her of eating male ears? Yei's mind was really functioning at a rather slow pace today and she furrowed her brow as she attempted to very slowly coax the cogs in her mind to begin turning again - needless to say her mind did not appreciate such a request and her thoughts seemed to become even slower (if that were at all possible).

"I'm too red." She said finally as though hit by a sudden revelation, her gaze flickering up towards the two soquili who although beautiful, were of more subtle and earthan colours - no wonder nobody took interest in her, she was too red!

Damn Spirits.

She gave a snort and then released a sigh as she shook her head from side to side, "Personally I would rather chew at their mane, there's not really much to the tip of the ear." She mused thoughtfully.

((Thelerian))
["Yep! Yep! That I am! " replied Elan flapping his wings. "Nice to meet you Nagual! Did Thel behave himself?"

"Of course I behave myself...," muttered Thel giving Elan a bored glance. " Why did you think otherwise?"

"Well...for one...you're in a horrible mess," Elan replied cackling. " Did you fall down a hill?"

"No...," Thel replied before realising that Yei had mentioned something about being 'too red'.

"Miss Yei...I don't think I understand...about the red part that is...," Thel replied looking at Yei and in the process ignoring Elan's remark about 'keeping a good image for the ladies'. She looked fine to him. True, her coat colour was unique but here where horses or soquilis as they are called came in all sort of colours.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual stared at Yei, "There is no such thing as 'too red', my dear!" She tossled her mane and snickered, "if anything, I'd say that would be a bonus... red is the color of passion; or so I have heard."

The mare went to pondering, "I don't know. There are more nerves in the ears; you'd think it would feel more.... better if one was to chew on another's ear rather than their mane." Nagual eyed Thelerian, "You're a male, Thel, what do you think? Would you prefer a mare to nibble on your ear or mane?"

((Yei Umeko))
Yei couldn't surpress her smile, Nagual was certainly much more exhuberant than before and it was extremely refreshing to see a mare who was perfectly content to ask rather probing questions to a male, especially when they were mild forms of seduction.

"Yes do tell us, the ears or the mane?" She enquired curiously as she moved forward to peer at Thel in a thoughtful manner, her eyes fixed upon his ears as though she was going to use him as the test subject if she didn't receive an answer.

Granted, if she did receive an answer though she was going to experiment on every male she could find that wouldn't skewer her up against a tree...

((Thelerian))
"Ahh...err....,"stammered Thelerian breaking out into a cold sweat. He never saw that question coming and he certainly had no anwers for them. Do males actually have to endure females biting their ears and mane?
That thought scared the painted stallion a lot. He always thought that stallions with tattered ears got them from a fight with others....

Stepping back away from the females slowly until his back hit a tree Thelerian would have welcomed any form of divertion just then. But even Elan seemed keen on getting an answer from him.

Gulping the painted stallion tried to think of an answer. Would he like his ears bitten or would he prefer to sacrifice his mane?

"A-actually....I...ahh.....I mean.......I would not know... I'm still...single....after all...," squeaked Thelerian hoping that that would suffice as an answer. "P-perhaps a stallion who has had experience would be a better person to ask...,"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual kept a straight face while Thelerian stammered, even though her pink eyes were laughing the whole time. When he finally came out with his inconclusive theory, the mare gave him a half smile. Maybe they were being too cruel to him. Even though the stallion was fairly skittish, Nagual came to the conclusion that she liked him and valued his friendship.

The mare eyed Yei from the side, "I don't know, Yei... do you think that is a sufficient enough answer? Should we let him off this time?"

((Yei Umeko))
"I must confess, I am terribly disappointed with the reply." Yei mused, her eyes twinkling with amusement as she crept forward and placed her muzzle against Thel's. She remained there for a time before giving a giggle and glancing back towards Nagual as though she'd come up with an idea that would make him decide.

"Why don't we give him a taster?" She mused curiously as she withdrew from his muzzle and swung round to glance at his mane and then his ears in thought. Needless to say she was of a suitable height to be able to reach his ears if the opportunity presented itself to her.

"That way he would be able to know for sure!" She chirped, her expression becoming serious despite the fact that inside she had broken into a fit of giggles - she was hardly going to torture the poor stallion like this but she was curious as to how he'd react!

((Thelerian))
Well needless to say, when Yei approached the painted stallion Thelerian backed even further into the tree( if that is possible) with his forelegs almost touching his backlegs and stared at her with his eyes wide open. Why was she coming closer? What did she plan to do? Flattening his ears till they could go no further Thelerian tried to scamble away but it was too late. The mare had already closed in on him and before Thelerian had any time to react, she had placed her muzzle on his. When that happened a shiver seemed to run through the stallion's body and the stallion thought that his legs would betray him. They were shaking so horribly.

Finally, after what seemed like eternity the mare removed her muzzle and a sigh of relief could be heard coming from the terrified stallion. But that sigh was short lived however when Yei suggested that he should be a test subject to their previous question. Words at that moment seemed to have left the stallion completely.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual never imagined a stallion would act this way. Sure, the answer they were trying to get out of him was fairly.... personal, but all they needed was an answer, no? With a smirk, the mare approached the two, trying to get as good a view as she could.

Noticing that Thelerian was almost sitting, the mare snorted, "Huh! I never knew a male could do that! That position cannot possibly be comfortable." She leaned down to see how her legs were sustaining him, her long mane brushed against him and Yei. Nagual went to it to inspect Thelerian's hooves and legs... also, she wanted to prevent an escape through the ground, just in case he found a way to manage that.

((Yei Umeko))
"Oh for goodness sake! I already told you I don't bite!" Yei released a lilting laugh as she backed away slightly and shook her head. Her eyes were glimmering with amusement at the vident panic the poor stallion had endured and she quietly released a sigh as she watched Nagual inspect him, "I only nibble and that's very rarely." She added as an after thought and quirked a brow.

"Everything to your liking Nagual?" She added teasingly and then, with another chuckle she turned her neck slightly to snap at an itch along her flank, it seemed to disappear after a few 'chomps' of her teeth against her lucious red coat.

"You really should calm down Thel, we're both harmless...that much I can assure you of." She cooed, failing to mention that she could be a right 'madam' when she was in a bad mood.

((Thelerian))
Thelerian watched as Yei withdrew and squirmed slightly when Nagual came up. Eventhough the first wave of panic was over (and the second had not started) Thelerian did not trust himself to get up just yet. He might fall and the thought of the two giggling females trying to support him on each side terrified him. They did not seem so 'harmless' to the stallion at the moment regardless of what Yei said.

When he had finally found his tongue, the stallion stammered"...L-let me go? "

((Nagual-An))
Nagual leaned back and pouted at Yei, stepping away from Thelerian, "To my liking? I honestly didn't get that good of a look.... surely, you would know, you were closer, Yei!" The mare smiled then eyed the stallion, "Let you go? My dear Thelerian, we never had you!"

Regardless of what she said, she stepped all the way near Yei. Turning to face the mare, Nagual cocked her head to the side, "So what do you think?"

((Yei Umeko))
Yei simply chuckled at his feeble words and after a few moments she released a delicate sigh, her ears flicking towards the mountainside where she could hear the faint call of a rather familiar horn - it was that of her 'master' and although his calls were rare she understood that her presence was necessary at home.

"Alas, I must depart for now but do try to stay out of trouble." She mused teasingly, the twinkle still in her eyes despite a slight flash of worry betraying her expression, "And no doubt I will see you both again." She added almost as an after thought alongside her tentative whicker.

"Oh, and whether your free your hostage is up to you." She grinned at this. "Do try to get an answer out of him for me Nagual, the reply will prove invaluable in my exploration of the male kind." She finished and then gave a giggle as she broke first into a canter and then into a gallop as she propelled herself towards the slopes.

((Thelerian))
...the reply will prove invaluable in my exploration of the male kind

What was that suppose to mean? Nevertheless Thelerian watched as the mare made her way back to the mountains. Deciding that his legs were finally good, the stallion gingerly stood up and observe Nagual. Was she going to probe him any longer or perhaps...she might change the subject though the phrase 'we never had you!' and 'hostage' was not too comforting.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual almost visibly pouted when Yei left, but she was happy to see the mare again. She turned to Thelerian and winked, "I'm sorry to see her leave, but I am in good company, no?"

When the stallion stood and watched her expectantly, the mare couldn't help but laugh, "Relax, Thel... I'm not going to eat you! Just playful banter is all. I am really interested, though: mane or ears? The insistence will not stop." She giggled and shook our her mane and fur...ahh, a hard day's worth of work; the life of a mare.

Nagual-An + Tetyawna + Loki + Isilme

((Nagual-An))
Nagual walked through the clearing, her head low and ears back to keep as much water out as possible. She didn't like this thick rain very much, the mare had no cover! Today was not a very good day for hunting for her precious berries... it was a day to just find some shelter from the rain. Making it to a little branch in the river, Nagual glared as raindrops splashed in the water, rippling in a confusing mess, "Not the best of days," she sighed under her breath and plunged ahead to walk through it.

Her hooves added to the strange rippling pattern in the river, but she was soon across and making her way to the cover of the treetops.

((Tetyawna))
Tetyawna was on her way to take another walk and travel this place a bit more. I can't wait to go.....yeeeeeee!!!! When she looked up to see that it was raining, she felt like she had just been hit by a stick. "Did it had to be today?" Luckily she was dry, since she found a cave to stay in. She waited for any other soquili to pass by and wanted to invite them in.

((Loki))
So, it was one of those days. A day where the earth rested, and allowed the clouds' blessings to rejuvinate it, inspiring new lives and refreshing old ones. Or at least, that's what his mother had taught him. He had accepted it rather eagerly too; the words stuck with him even then, after her time had passed and his had matured. They gave him an outlook somewhat different than most, perhaps, allowing him to smile broadly, despite the water streaming off his coat.

The sight he caught peeking through the treeline only reinforced it - it was a familiar figure, allbeit not unchanged. "Hello Nagual-An. Is something the matter?" The introduction was a soft one; calmly offered just as she pulled into earshot, with an accompanying nod of his head. Hopefully she would be neither startled nor insulted. Though she had grown since he last saw her, a disappointed expression was difficult to miss. Maybe there was something he could do to lighten her burden.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual looked up at the sound of Loki's voice, since her head was currently hanging low. She caught sight of him and smiled slightly. With a slight chuckle, the mare shook her head. While she dislodged some of the rain droplets, the space was quickly taken over by yet more rain. "Nothing is really the matter.... except this horrible downpour. I understand the rain helps give life.... it just doesn't mean I have to enjoy it!" She winked slightly and moved closer to him when she finally was near, hoping he might be able to wind-block some of the rain, or something. Her thick mane clung to her neck.

"Maybe we should find some shelter, do you know anywhere nearby, by chance?" Nagual looked back up at him hopefully, hoping for some relief from the wetness as they kept walking.

((Tetyawna))
She have been in the cave for a while now and still no soquili came. Hmmmm.....er.....maybe no one will come. Tetyawna was about to feel down but then she heard voices. The language she can understand, which means this wasn't any humans. Her head kinda poked out of the cave and looked. It was hard to see anything.

Not too far away, she saw 2 soquilis chatting. She squinted her eyes to try and see who they were. Tetyawna gave up and took her head back in. "Oh god...." The mare let the water drip from her head and waited for the 2 to come and find this cave.

((Loki))
And his hopes were promptly crushed. Not quite so brutally as a stone falling on a brittle twig, but abruptly enough he almost frowned. Almost. "Maybe if you called it 'wonderful' instead, it wouldn't seem so gloomy," he chimed. "It is lovely, isn't it?" Loki's teasing was too good-natured to be insensitive - or so he hoped. "Well," he started, straightening his posture a little. "I'm sorry to hear that, nontheless."

The stallion regarded her with a raised brow as she edged nearer, and mulled over the query for only a moment. "Can't say I do, I'm afraid. This is my shelter." He motioned toward the dripping, leafy canopy with his muzzle. "I'm sorry." Loki wasn't about to tell her, but he was really a bit regretful she didn't appreciate the weather as much as he did. "I suppose we could try to find something, if you'd rather?..."

((Nagual-An))
Nagual noticed the slight change in Loki's attitude. She was usually the happy and excited one, so she tended to miss a lot of changed. This time, though, the roles seemed a bit reversed. The mare gave Loki a smile, her eyes brightened, "It is lovely, I just wish it didn't make me feel three times my weight. It's too bad it cannot rain without soaking those caught in it." She chuckled slightly.

Looking up at the canopy, some large raindrops splattered her eyes. Shaking them out so she could see clearly again, Nagual chuckled slightly, "Yes, it is my shelter too, although not quite as convenient as I hoped."

In her blurred vision, Nagual caught sight of an opening in the rocks, with a slight orange color inside it. The mare stopped and paused, risking getting the insides of her ears wet by turning all her attention in that direction. She looked back at Loki and smiled brightly, "Would you mind if we made out way over there? There is still some tree cover by that rock opening, it looks like."

((Tetyawna))
Tetyawna could see a bit more clearly now. Her eyes saw that a mare and a stallion were together. Her eyes widened as the mare looked straight at the cave or her. I think she sees me.... She was about to appear out of the cave but then she remembered the rain and decided it was best for her to stay in it.

((Loki))
Her change in attitude reassured him, though he hadn't been bothered much in the first place. "Must be a mare thing," he joked, wrinkling his nose at her. The burden of a water-logged pelt had never been much of a burden at all, really. And he wondered briefly if it bothered Isilme. That would have negated his teasing, he supposed idly. "Nagual, do you have a human?" It was a seemingly random question, but she could seek shelter with her, if it bothered her that badly...

"Nothing's perfect," he replied suddenly, turning toward her with a smile. "Certainly though, if you'd like." The stallion followed her gaze with moderate interest, settling on the cave before he moved toward it. It was bigger than he might have expected; not at all unsuitable for creatures of their size. He just hoped whatever lay inside wasn't unhospitable. "Away we go, then?" Pushing one hoof forward, he froze mid-step and waited for the mare to follow suit.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual laughed, her spirits rising with the idea of shelter, and the teasing by Loki, all in good nature. "Yeah, it must be... mares like to be pampered when available," she winked and walked with him towards the cave.

"No, I don't have a human." The mare wrinkled her nose at the thought. "Maybe one day, when I want to settle down or something, but for now I am enjoying my freedom.... even with drenching days like today!" As the approached she could definitely see the outline of a soquili. "Is it just more, or is there someone in that cave?"

Not really waiting for a reply, and excited by the idea of dryness, "Hello! Is there anyone up there?"

((Tetyawna))
The mare had spoken to her. Now Tetyawna's eyes were really big and she started to get excited. "Er....yea, do you want to come in for the shelter?" she replied quickly. Tetyawna waited for them to reach the cave entrance before speaking again. "Hi." Her eyes watched the two. I hope they're nice.....

She motioned with her head to invite them in. "My name is Tetyawna. It's nice to have some others come up here." she smiled happily hoping the 2 aren't afraid of her.

((Loki))
"So I hear," he confirmed, grinning at the prospect. It wasn't unreasonable though - Who didn't like to be treated well? Well, within reason. Though it did depend on the context... But his thoughts were wandering, and he shook his head to clear them.

So much for that idea. It surprised him a little, actually. Nearly all the Soquilis he met initially were bonded to some human or another, but he had been encountering more and more lately that weren't... "That's respectable." Loki noted she was open to the idea, rather than bearing a fervent dislike for people.

"There might be," he commented, and squinted to peer into the shadows. The voice that exited didn't leave him wondering for long though. He flicked his ears at it, and with little reservation, pulled himself into the rocky opening. "Thank you for offering. - And hello. This is Nagual, and I'm Loki; pleased to meet you, Tetyawna." It was forward of him to introduce the mare, he realized, but... Well, it seemed polite at the time.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual almost bursted into the cave. Her fur and hair dripped water and soon there was a pool of it at her hooves. Shaking like a canine, the mare tried to get some off of her. The action, though, made most of her hair stand on end, except her belly which was clumped together as water continued to drip from it.

Despite it all, she was happy to be ina dry place, if only for a little while. Her eyes brightened even further and her ever-present smile slowly took place on her face. The mare bowed her head in greeting. She turned to Loki and smiled more, "Well, thank you Loki! Such a gentleman, saving me the work of introduction." Nagual laughed happily just for the sheer joy of it.

Pausing, the mare looked at her two companions, "You know... I think that is the first time I laughed today... how strange." Her cheeks turned a slight pink, but she giggled consistently for awhile.

((Tetyawna))
Tetyawna curtsyed to both of them. "Nice to meet you Loki and Nagual." She smiled at the stallion. It was nice of him to introduce the mare too. "Your welcome." She shifted to the side of the cave so that they have room. The rain was loud and when they talked, it would echo around the cave.

"Rainy day isn't it? Good thing everything will smell fresh and clean after this." Her head turned to the 2 and smiled.

((Isilme))
Someone else enters the cavern...

The mare stops dead at the sight of others, breathing deeply as she inhales the new scents. She immediately spots Loki, but takes her time getting a good look at the others before moving closer.

Her own pelt is soaked from outside, and she snorts and stamps in irritation as the water trickles down her belly, tickling her.

A few seconds later, a very water-logged and pathetic-looking peregrine falcon trundles in after her, too soaking to even fly in. She's rustling her feathers irately, sending water droplets in all directions, and she nearly runs into Isilme's back foot. "Yow! Lassie, ye dinnae think Ah'm happy standing near this drafty entrance? Move yer feet!"

The mare drops her head, and apologetically lifts her foot so that the soaked falcon can pass. The feathered creature gives one look at the Soquili gathered, blinks, and then just finds a nice little space off to the side to get try, taking no further notice of the horses.

"Looks like I ain't the only one who's trying to find someplace dry. Hi, Loki."

((Loki))
He couldn't help himself - He had to laugh at the unceremonious shaking. Just something about the way rogue droplets splattered his already soaked hide, the walls, and anything else in their path struck his amusement. "Feel any better?" he asked at last, giving her a grin.

And well, at least his intentions hadn't been ill-recieved. He hadn't expected them to be acknowledged either though, and the attention made him duck his head almost bashfully. "Nothing strange about it. Laughter does lift one's spirits."

"This is true," the stallion commented suddenly, bobbing his head in agreement. The rain did leave behind it a distinct crispness; a new and fresh sort of blanket on the not-always-grateful earth. "And a good excuse to make converesation, in the meantime. So long as one doesn't mind soggy company."

Needless to say, he wasn't really expecting any additional individuals to enter the conversation. It was more than a little surprising when another did - And not just anyone, but Isilme, he reconized immediately. With Alta not far behind, it would seem (and more than a little unsociable than usual).

"You could say that," he responded cheerfully, giving her a smile that would have liked to imply he was oblivious to the falcon's discomfort. "Welcome, Isilme. Meet Nagual-An, and Tetyawna." The stallion motioned to them in turn with their introductions, finishing with "and this is Isilme, as I mentioned." He might have given a welcome for Alta too, but she didn't particularly look conversational, so he thought it best to do otherwise.

"Anyway, I'd say you've come to the right place!"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual stuck her tongue out at Loki. Even though she was no longer a filly, she did it anyways, lightening her damp mood even further. "Well, actually, I do feel better! Just having the chance to lighten the load is exciting enough." She was about to appologize for getting anyone else wet, but that that doing so would ruin the moment.

"Mm...." she mumbled, licking her lips. "The berries will be plump and juicy after this! How could I forget....?" For a moment, it seemed that the smiling mare was off in a dreamworld, but what brought back by a couple of other voices.

She turned and smiled further at the newest arrivals. "Well, hello! I'm Nagual-An! And yes, I believe we were all trying to get out of the rain... except Loki, who only came for the sake of some company," She eyed the stallion out of the corner of her eye, the joking obvious in her voice.

((Tetyawna))
Tetyawna stopped staring at Loki and Nagual. "Thank you Loki." She dipped her head at the soquili who just walked in and bent her legs. I think I'm getting use to curtsying. "Nice to meet you Isilme." Her attention turned to Nagual of what she mumbled. "You're making me hungry now. Mmmmm....." The red panda mare started to dream of eating berries too.

She was dreaming happily but then tried to focuss back on the conversation. Tetyawna had just remembered seeing a familiar walk in too. Like what Nagual did, she decided to say hi to the bird. "Uhm....hi Alta." I think that is what I heard Nagual say to the bird....

((Isilme))
She eyes him for a moment, rather wondering what he had been saying about her...and then mentally shook herself. He's not her brother, she's being silly. Probably just that he'd met her. Curiousity about his friends, however, drives that out of her mind. Were these the ones that lived with humans...or not? They seemed like a cheerful twosome, and the grullo paint moves closer, her hooves clip-clopping against the cavern ground.

As Nagual teases Loki, the mare feels a flash of undefinable emotion, and her ears almost tap backward, but she catches herself in time. To make up for the motion, she smiles at the other mare. "Pleased to meet you too, Nagual, and you, Tetyawna." She eyes Alta for a moment, but seems to come to the same conclusion as Loki...the falcon is probably best left alone.

"Well, company's better in here than out there, and drier, too," the mare says lightly, shaking out her mane. "Storms are not the most conversational of things...they tend to talk too much."

One eye swivels around, and the peregrine falcon regards Tetyawna with that odd, sideways look birds have. "Hi, lassie. Ye another horse from around here, nae doubt?"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual sighed happily, bouncing from hoof to hoof. "I really shouldn't have mentioned berries.... because now I really want them!" The mare peered outside at the rain. Her expression remained wishful. "Agh! I cannot stand it....." With a smile across her face, the mare nodded to each individual, "It was nice to meet you Tetyawna, and you as well Isilme!" She added a wink in Isilme's direction.

Making her way to the entrance, Nagual paused to gather her strength, and warmth. She felt refreshed from her time in the cave. Turning over her shoulder, the mare called out, "Until next time!"

With that, she trudged out back into the rain. This time, however, her head held high and her eyes piercing the slight fog the rain created, trying to catch a glimpse of some bright red berries.

((Loki))
"Always the berries..." He was about to say something in typical friendly, teasing fashion, but Isilme's new presence made him think better of it. He... Well, he wasn't sure why. It just didn't seem right to jest in front of her, lest it was with her, so he didn't. "Good luck then," he said instead, somewhat grateful for an opportunity to give a farewell rather than trying to make sense of his reasoning for being here. Especially since he didn't really have any.

"Can't blame a storm for having a few things to say. It's not like they get to talk often," he joked, though he nodded in agreement. "Not a fan of the rain either, I take it? I guess I'm alone in that sentiment." He made a mental note to show Isilme suitable shelter closer to the areas they frequented; this cave wasn't particularly convienant.

But hm, he was surprised to see Tetyawna greet the falcon... And even moreso to hear Alta respond. She didn't sound as put-out as he had expected; not that it was a bad thing. He gave her his characteristic welcoming smile, but didn't quite dare to interject. Loki glanced to Isilme instead, regarding her with a raised brow. "Not having a good day?" He had meant the question more in regards to the falcon than herself, but it was open for either.

((Tetyawna))
Tetyawna looked at the bird and smiled sweetly. "I'm new here and yes I guess I'm from around here." She didn't understand half of what Alta had just said. When Nagual got up to leave, she neighed and wished her a safe journey. Her eyes bounced between from Isilme and Loki.

Her head was dry again and she was happy that she made a few more friends. The mare wanted to ask something, so she walked a bit closer to Isilme. "Is Alta in a bad mood?" Judging by the bird and how it came in, it didn't seem very happy.

Ashling + Nagual-An

((Ashling))
-As the warm sun baked the silent meadow, Ashling drifted lazily along the soft breeze, blue wings fluttering in soft repititions. Glancing around the meadow he pondered lightly over what he'd do today. The new spring grass looked particularly tastey... But he COULD use a little more excitement then eating. Maybe his sister was around somewhere? Or the little thing that talked to him while he was in the basket? Letting his mind drift as slowly and irratically as the breeze, he settled his hooves finally onto the ground, yawning gently before he finally took a thoughtful n** at the young grass at his hooves.-

((Nagual-An))
Nagual had caught sight of the little flutter soquili from a break in the trees. She had never seen one before, and the thought that she might meet on made herbreak out into a gallop. The mare ran through the forest, following the flight of the little one as best she could. Ocassionally, she lost him, but was always found her way. Headlong, she crashed through.... although surprised she never seemed to catch the flutter's attention. Surprisingly, Nagual didn't break a leg. When she broke through the trees, the mare pick up a little more speed.

Within a few long strides of the colt, Nagual slowed and trotted slowly over with a grin. Up close, she thought he looked even more stunning with his pale color and patterned win. She cleared her throat so she wouldn't spook him, and smiled in his direction.

((Ashling))
-Munching lightly at the delicate blades, his carefree obliviousness finally fell aside, his jaws stopping as he heard the strange sound. Glancing back over his shoulder he spotted the approaching mare. She looked a little stressed so to say, hair mused a little by the run she'd just taken and a soft glow of heat radiating from her. But she was lovely nonetheless, and SO big compared to him. Perhaps even bigger then his father!

Finishing his grass in one gulp, he tossed his head playfully, nickering in greeting. Trotting a few steps nearer to the dualtone mare Ashling grinned widely, wings fluttering a few times with his obvious boyish excitement.- "Hello there!"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled, her head held high and her usual silky -now slightly snarled- mane waving slightly in the breeze when she approached. What a delightful colt! He looked so sweet, the mare was almost tempted to eat him! She giggled at the thought and bowed her head more to his height, "Well hello, little one! I am Nagual-An, and who are you?"

((Ashling))
"Naa..guall.. an" -He tested the the name lightly, before nodding as if to say he'd got it. Glancing her over a little more curiously now that she'd addressed him, another wide grin touched his muzzle.- "I'm Ashling. What are you doing out here Nagual-An?" -His head cocked lightly at the question, deep down hoping for an answer that'd tickle his fancy.-

((Nagual-An))The mare grinned and laughed, "What I always do... I was hunting for some berries when I caught glimpse of you over head. I've never met a soquili-butterfly before and thought I would have to check you out for myself!" She looked around. "There are no berry bushes around here, though... mostly the forest... and you can call me just plain Nagual if you want," the mare winked.

((Ashling))
-Laughing a little, he took a few hopping strides forward, until he was just about nose to nose with the mare.- "I'm not so small as a butterfly! I'm a flutter soquili." -Giving his wings a soft flutter he streched them out for her to see better.- "I hadn't met a big Soquili yet either. Just my parents, and the little thing that brings me food and flowers."

-Mind finally backtracking to what she said, he looked past her to the forest she'd come from.- "Berries? What are those?"

((Nagual-An))
"Ahhh! So that is what you are called!" With a grin, Nagual leaned forward the extra distance and licked Ashling on the nose. She giggled, for he didn't taste like flowers as she had expected. "Poo-ey, you taste like Soquili.... although maybe a little sweeter than most," she winked.

The mare almost had a heart-attack, "You.... don't know what... berries... are!?" Was that even possible? Nagual wasn't sure....but she would have to introduce the delicious morsels to the flutter!

((Ashling))
-He twitched his nose a little with the lick, a look of surprise on his young face. Staring blankly as she spoke of taste his mind ran through the good ol' 'girls have cooties?' questioning, before finally he seemed to shake it away, simply sticking his tongue out in response. Though the soft flicking of his tail gave forth the truth that he really didn't mind so much.

Grinning sheepishly at the outburst, he drug his blue hooves gently against the ground, before explaining matter of factly.- "I only came out of my basket like 2 days ago. I don't think I've seen the berry things yet. What are they? Flowers?"

((Nagual-An))
With a sigh, the mare looked at the colt, "Well, I'll let it slide.... this time! But after today you shall have no excuse!" Nagual returned the gesture by sticking out her tongue. "Berries are much better than flowers, at least I think they are. They grow in bushes and come in all sorts of sizes! If you come with me, I'll try to find you some, dear colt." She winked again then turned as if to return to the forest. The mare waited to see if he would follow, for she didn't want to force him.

((Ashling))
"Yeah yeah yeah" -He gave a playful snort at her teasing, before listening curiously to her explination. And when she was done and began to move he followed happily, trotting after her for the time being. As long as she didn't try to move fast on those long legs of hers, he'd probably be able to keep up on foot.-

"Flowers can come from bushes too you know?" -It was a matter of fact statement, as his curiousity peaked at the thought of seeing something new. Ecspecially if it was as tastey as the mare was making it out to be.-

((Nagual-An))
Nagual giggled. She walked slower than she usually did, although she usually walked slow anyways so she could get a view of everything around her. "I know a few flowers, but I didn't know they could grow on bushes too! What interesting news, thank you!" She turned to the colt, her man fluttering slightly. Slowly, it was starting to retain its wavy appearance instead of the frayed one from her run, although her run was nice too, she had to admit.

"I must warn you, though, little Ashling!" The mare smiled and nodded around the woods, "Berry bushes are very elusive, we may not find one today...which would be upsetting as I haven't found one recently that was good enough to eat. You eat them too soon and they are incredibly bitter. Maybe you will be good luck, though." She winked and then looked around again.

((Ashling))
-Letting his gaze turn to the scenery as they 'walked', Ashling pondered over her comment, before answering thoughtfully.- "The ones that grow on bushes are kind of small compared to the ones that grow on the ground or stalks." -He didn't know it yet of course, but one day if the two met again he'd be able to tell her that the berries she so desired actually came from the tiny bush flowers. But that was something he'd have to learn on his own first.-

"Hmmm... I hope we'll be able to find them then. What do they look like? So I can help?"

-As she teased again he narrowed his eyes lightly, picking up the pace of his trot, fluttering his wings until he hovered gently above her, his head lifted only a few inches above her own, before he teased back with a joyous laugh.- "It seems I'm the taller one now 'little' Naqual."

((Nagual-An))
Nagual laughed. What a delightful colt! She hoped he never lost that attitude, not even when he 'grew up' as many would say. Leaning over, the mare nibbled a bit on Ashling's sparse man, "I'm still bigger than you!" She teased while talking with his hair in her mouth, "Even if you are at a higher advantage."

She let go of his captive hairs and inspected the area, "Well, the berries are generally red to blue in color. Lately, I've been seeing mostly the red ones, although blue has been noticable from time to time."

((Ashling))
"And older at that." -He grinned despite the fact that she'd gotten the better of him, shaking his mane lightly as it was released. She certainly was a clever mare and just the delightfully amusing creature he'd been looking for to perk up his day.-

"Blue to red huh?" -Staying up a few inches, for a better view of the bushes as they entered the wooded forests, he glanced around curiously. Even without knowing what they looked like, very little besides flowers and certain animals took on red or blue hues. So it shouldn't be 'too' hard to find them if they were around. A few curiousities touched him as he searched, and they spilled out like a river onto the poor unsuspecting mare.- "These berries.. what do they taste like when they are good? In fact how do you know they're good? I'd hate to end up with a bad taste left in my mouth from bitter berries. Do they smell sweet? How often do you eat them? Are they filling like grass? Or something of a treat like carrots?"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual nodded her head sadly, "Yes, slightly older, I am afraid. But don't tell anyone, I wouldn't want the word to get around." She winked and then turned her attention to the forest until she was bombarded with the colt's inquisitive questions.

"My, my!" the mare giggled, her face brightening with a smile, "aren't we the little question-asker today!" Her mouth started to water at the thought of describing berries. "Well, let me see. Berries are incredibly sweet, but with a touch of sourness that also makes you want to pucker your lips. You know they are good, because when you bite into them, they aren't bitter. When they are not right, a lot of times they are green or yellow, and mostly seed. Because they really are seeds, per say, they are incredibly hard when not ripe. And they smell...." Nagual had to pause and think, for she rarely smelled them because she ate them too quickly. "I am not entirely sure!" The mare snickered at the thought, "I don't usually smell them because I am eating them. I eat them whenever I can. I doubt that is too healthy, but I cannot help it! And I would say they are more like a treat. They are not as filling as grass... and what are carrots?"

Because she had always lived on her own, Nagual never had the pleasure of eating carrots.

((Ashling))
"What's so wrong with being older?" -It was a rhetorical question really, and his short tail flicked thoughtfully behind him as he asked.- "Isn't it more important how old you act?"

-Subject changing, his tummy gave a little bit of a grumble as she explained the sweet treat to him, and his eyes searched determinedly. They sounded absolutely fantastic! And he couldn't wait to give the little 'seeds' a try. As the tree canopy began to darken their surroundings, Ashling let himself decend, landing gently onto the ground before trotting once again to keep up from her, still looking around curiously as he explained.- "Carrots? Oh, they're these root things. They grow under the ground and all you see are little green leaves poking up. When you pull them out though they're orange and big. They're just a little sweet and pretty filling. The little one has brought me a couple of them. I think it's something that only grows by them though, I haven't ever seen them while I was out playing."

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled again, "True, true... how you act is more important than your age and physical maturity. Unfortunately, some become so boring when they grow up!" The mare 'tsked' in the back of her throat in mock disappointment.

"Hmmm, I don't think I've ever even seen carrots...I would definitely remember something as remarkable as bright orange food! But if it is undergroung, that makes sense, as I really don't dig for anything..." the thought of herself digging for food made Nagual laugh slightly. But what did the colt mean when he said.... "What are 'the little ones'?"

((Ashling))
-Agreeing, silently with her sentiment he gave a safe nod. Grinning a little he offered happily.- "Ahhh well then since you're showing me berries, maybe one day I can bring you a carrot to see and taste as well."

"The little one? Oh.." -He was silent for a long minute, obviously pondering over the thought before finally he tried to explain, though it wasn't exactly the clearest. Rearing up lightly, he mused.- "Well see.. they're these critters and they stand up on their back legs. And with they're front legs the can pick up things.. and.. see they don't have hooves.. I guess that's why they can dig out carrots.. and pick flowers and make necklaces and stuff."

-Realizing how unclear he was sounding he gave a sheepish grin.- "Well maybe it's best to see one of them too. I don't think mine can understand what I say, but she was there when I came out of my basket, and she brings me food, and flowers like I said. We live in this little thin cave in the middle of a place with tons of caves and much bigger critters. I don't know why mine is so small.. Maybe she's like me?"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual nodded her head, mane flying around erratically, "It's a deal! I show you berries and you show me these carrot...things." She giggled a little.

Watching Ashling very carefully, the mare tried to figure out his meaning. "I think I may know what you mean. Is it a human? They have hair only on their head, have strange coverings on their body, and usually come in a light brown coloring?"

((Ashling))
"Ahhh That's sounds just like it! My critter is a human." -He seemed delighted with the new fact, a silly grin rested upon his muzzle, until a soft flash of color caught his eyes. Stopping abruptly, he stared at the bush in the distance and the soft sprig of red that flashed from it. It could be berries, or flowers, or maybe even a little bird mostly hidden within the shruby branches. Giving an excited little whiny he motioned towards the bush, looking questioningly towards Nagual.- "What's that over there?"

((Nagual-An))
The mare leaned over Ashling, careful not to trample him in the process of inspecting the bush. She knew right away that they were berries, but she wanted to put on a show! Delicately, Nagual plucked off one of the berries. As she moved it around her mouth with her tongue, she murmered loud enough for the colt to hear, "Well, let's see. We are by a bush... that's good. The shape is round... They are red, yup! And...." The mare spat out the berry as if it was the most aweful thing and glared down to where it landed.

Giggling, Nagual couln't take maintain herself. She reached over and plucked berries off until her mouth was stuffed. "They are very good!" she mumbled through a full mouth, "Dig in...."

((Ashling))
-Ashling watched the presentation intently, ears held forward to hear every last word, and eyes following the mare to the bush and back to her. A look of dismay touched him as she spat the berry out, but it immediately turned into a grin and happy whiney when she began to stuff her mouth. Excitedly he nosed at a small little gathering of berries, trying to figure out if they had a scent, before finally nibbling a couple of the bush, tasting them slowly and deliberatly.

As the sweet juices touched his tongue a subconcious nicker erupted from the colt and his wings gave a vibrant flutter. They were just heavenly! Just as sweet as they were bright! Giving an over dramatic and contented sigh once he'd finished his small mouthful he looked up at Nagual with an expression ripe with awe, wonder, and complete bliss, his voice almost hushed as he spoke.- "That's like WAY sweetier then carrots or anything else I've ever tasted! It's. It's. It's wonderful!!"

-Hopping up abruptly to his back legs he lopped his front legs best he could around the mare's neck in a haphazard hug, before giving another joyful whiney.-

((Nagual-An))
Nagual giggled in response to Ashling's subconcious responses and nodded her head, forelock flopping every-which-way. "I told you.... why else would I base my day on finding berries.... everyday!" The mare laughed and took another mouthful from the bush.

At the colt's interesting hug, Nagual was slightly taken aback. She had never gotten a hug like that before... come to think of it, she never had gotten a hug before! It must have been something he learned from his human? The mare smiled, a slight rose blush emerging on her cheeks, "Well... erm, I'm glad you like them."

((Ashling))
-He grinned lightly as he settled his hooves back on the ground, small tail swishing lightly behind him.-

"A quite worthwhile endevour if I do say so myself!" -Nipping back into the bush he grabbed a few more of the sweet fruits, munching on them slowly and deliberatly before the question began to surfuce again.- "Do they grow all the time? Or are they like flowers that only grow for a certain amount of time a year?"

((Nagual-An))
The mare was playing with a berry in her mouth when Ashling brought up his other questions. She smiled and essentially tossed it so the slobbered thing landed between his ears. "Some berries are year round, some are just for summer. These ones, and the similar ones that grow on a more twiggy-branch, are still around during the winter although not as tasty then...and more scarce as well."

Nagual grabbed a few more berries, watching the bush carefully to see how much longer it would last.

((Ashling))
-His tail flicked back and forth in a happy little motion as she spoke, nodding lightly as he took in the information, before taking another tentative n** at the berries. Grinning a little, he looked upward at the sky slightly dissapointed when he realized how much the canopy obscured it. What time was it? Was the sun making it's way down the western sky yet?-

((Nagual-An))
Nagual was getting a little full. Her mission was accomplished, though... she had found berries to Ashling could discover their wonderfulness! The mare smiled as she stepped back, "I'm stuffed. If you're still hungry, keep snacking on those delicious morsels!"

She noticed he was eyeing the canopy. Taking his meaning wrong, Nagual giggled, "Don't worry, a hawk won't sweep down and snatch you... and if one does, I'll protect ya!"

((Ashling))
-Taking one last nibble from the berry bush, he felt his own small stomach filling nicely. Just enough room left for a little something when he got home. Swallowing the last bits of the sweet fruit he grinned again in her direction.- "I think I'm done too."

-His ears flicked back aggressively at the next statement though. What a horrible thought! Subconciously glancing back up at the canopy, this time actually a hint alarmed that a hawk might do just as she'd said, he explained himself cautiously.- "I.. I was trying to see where the sun was.. The little one doesn't like me out after dark." -Well he didn't particuarly LIKE being out after dark himself either, but he'd leave out that little tidbit.-

((Nagual-An))
Nagual eyed the colt, she believed him but her eyes sparkled with mischief, "Oh, I see! Of course...." Looking around, the mare nodded in another direction, "the nearest clearing is that way. You can see the sun more clearly there."

She lead the colt over and finally they made it to the clearing. Nagual looked around. "As for dark, there is still some time left. I'd offer to escort you..." The mare laughed, her eyes sparkling, "but I am afraid you'd travel much more quickly with your wings."

((Ashling))
-He grinned lightly more as he followed after his new friend, tail swinging contentedly about behind his rump. Pondering the offer lightly, he take another gaze at the sun before nodding in soft agreement, a delicate nicker escaping him.- "You're right.. so I guess.."

"We'll just have to make a date to play again sometime! And I'll make sure to sneak you a carrot too Nagual."

Nagual-An + Tashika + Dory + Helaku

((Nagual-An))
What a perfect day! Nagual had taken a break from her berry hunting in order to roll around and take a nap in the brilliant sun. When she finally woke up, it was time for a drink.

Breaking off in a gallop, the mare headed towards the river and splashed everywhere when she plundged in, "Ahhh! Refreshing!" Nagual sighed and instead of taking a drink, instead just stayed immersed in the water.

((Tashika - human))
The Indian Maiden known as Tashika waded into the river, her fingertips skimming the icy blue stream. The water pulled at her white deerskin dress, but she ignored it, skimming her bare feet across the smooth rocks that covered the bottom. She waded not far from where her lone teepee stood, a rather small structure at the border of the woods and river. She lived there alone, having been cast out of her tribe.
'For something I could not control.' She thought.
Tashika-or Spirit Hair- as she was called by some, was pale skinned. She was born as dark as any Indian child, but as she had grown up, her skin had lightened, as had her dark hair. Now a grey, silvery mass that flowed down to her waist, there was no wonder at her nickname. She glanced at the sky, amathyst eyes taking in the shapes of clouds. The cloud Soquili danced overhead, a soft breeze picking up to carry them across the sky.
Since she had been cast out, Tashika had learned to be quiet and still, and in doing so, could watch the many wild Soquili without alerting them.
'Soon it will be time to go looking for them again.' She thought with a smile. 'Wonderful.'

((Dory))
Dory had wandered away from the seashore for once, Squishy had told her about the river and so she decided to visit this thin strip of flowing water. She nickered softly as she picked her way through the shallows, in time to see another mare jumped straight into the river.
'There are stones to slip on you know,' Dory commented. Even she would not jumped headlong into water like that. Concealed, and washed smooth rocks were lethal to a misplaced hoof.

((Tashika - human))
Tashika jumped in surprise, scrambling to the bank as a Soquili mare lept into the river, and another appeared on the far bank. She blinked in surprise, having never been so close to one of the great horses before, and stared, speechless..
They were just north of her, only a few paces away, and she smiled, watching them. 'They truly are lovely.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual heard the woman mumble, but couldn't see where she was. At the sound of another mare, she looked up and saw a brillaint blue soquili scolding her. Nagual smiled and giggled, but nodded nonetheless, "Yes, true true, but it was so much fun!"

((Dory))
Dory sniffed the air, noticing the human..then promptly forgot about her and clipped through the shallows towards the spotted mare.
'If you hit your head..well then it wouldnt be fun. Would you want to lose your memory, like I do?' Dory's tail flicked, the ends sending spray flying.
'I mean..I can't even remember why I wandered this far down here.' she flicked her ears.
'Umm..' and she stared a little around her, then looked back at Nagual.
'Hi! Is it nice in there?'

((Tashika - human))
Tashika, still crouching, moved up the bend of the river, approaching the Soquili mares. She watched them interact with a tilted head, marvelling at the animals she had recently come to love, though she did not really know them yet.
"Hello." She said softly to the Soquili standing in the river.

((Helaku))
Helaku snorted softly in amusement as he noticed the two mares. The blue one seemed forgetful, to say the least. Neither of them seemed to hold that 'confusion factor' that Tetyawna did for him, though. He wasn't sure whether to be relieved or disappointed at this. If they had, then he could have simply attributed the confusion to dealing with females. He pawed the ground quietly as he thought on this.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual shrugged and blew bubbles in the water with her mouth, "I didn't hit my head, so I'm all good.... You forget things?" The mare looked up and eyed the other mare. "That's strange..... My name is Nagual-An, what's yours?"

She flipped around at the sound of the woman and neighed in welcome, bobbing her head. Nagual turned to Dory and grinned happily, "What's my name?"

((Dory))
'I suffer from short term memory loss..' Dory said.
'At least I think I do.' she laughed, shifting the water with her hooves.
'I am Dory..you are Nagual-An.' she skipped out, prancing around a little on the bank.
'Its nice here,' and she twirled, kicking her front hooves in the air, before looking at Nagual-An.
'Do you have a ... small furry friend like creature? I have one.' she searched for the fox's name.
'Squishy! I have Squishy friend.'

((Tashika - human))
Tashika smiled, recognizing the greeting even if the mare wasn't speaking a language she understood. She settled into a sitting position on the river bank, tucking her feet under herself and brushing her hair while she watched the horses interacting.

((Helaku))
After a bit, Helaku tired of simply watching...then he noticed the human. While he couldn't say that he had a human of his own, he did know a few. Although there was that one that hung out around his teepee sometimes and left food and stuff... Shrugging to himself, he trotted down towards the human.

((Nagual-An))
"Very good!" Nagual giggled when Dory remembered her name, at least for now. Maybe next time she'll say her name is 'Chief' or something. The mare giggled at the thought.

Shaking her head, Nagual smiled, "No, I don't have a fox... although maybe one day I will! And what a cute name, Squishy!" She caught the sight of Helaku approaching the human and nickered in a greeting over to him. Her looked familiar, but she didn't think she ever got his name.

((Dory))
Dory wondered where Nagual was looking.
'Oh,' she said, catching sight and scent of the stallion.
'Do you know him?' she asked, thinking that maybe Nagual had said something but that she'd forgotten it.

((Tashika - human))
Tashika cocked her head as the mare nickered toward her, then fell over with a squeek as she realised a stunning Soquili stallion stood over her. She gazed up at him with wide eyes and held out a hand, shocked that he had trotted right over to her.
' o-si-yo .' She said softly. 'Oh you are a grand thing..'

((Helaku))
Heklaku chuckled at the human's surprise, then stretched his nose towards her curiously. He only understood a little of what she said, but the tone definitely wasn't threatening. He bumped her hand with his nose lightly.

((Tashika - human))
Tashika smiled as the stallion rumbled and stroked his nose, her eyes dancing in delight.
"O-si-yo." She breathed. "u-wo-du-hi."
The wind picked up, tossing her silver hair back and making his mane ripple, it danced over her hand like satin.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual shook her head, "I do not know him, although he seems familiar... I don't recognize the human, either." The mare turned to Dory and winked, "Shall we go introduce ourselves?" She didn't really wait for a reply and instead walked over via more water until she was fairly close to the two. Turning to the stallion, Nagual cocked her head in inquiry, "Is she yours?" she asked, motioning to the human.

The mare checked behind her to see if her new blue friend was there and smiled in her direction.

((Helaku))
Helaku preened slightly at this. Well, this human certainly seemed to know what she was talking about. She looked different than the other humans he'd seen, so much paler. He nibbled her hair playfully, a mischeivous glint in his eye.

((Dory))
'Sure,' Dory clipped after Nagual, hoping that she didnt show herself up in front of this new Soquili they were about to meet. The stallions seemed less forgiving of her memory problems then mares so far.

((Helaku))
Helaku jumped slightly at the mare's question. "No...at least, I don't think so. I don't know much about that."

((Tashika - human))
Tashika giggled at the stallion's attentions, then turned to watch the mare's approach. She could tell they were conversing, the Soquili, but she could not truly understand what was said. Nevertheless, she watched intently, hoping for some clue.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual grinned back at Dory, noting her reluctance to come, "I'm sure he doesn't bite," she winked.

Turning back to the stallion, and hearing his reply, Nagual chewed a lip while thinking, "Oh, Okay. The two of you seemed to be getting along! Now, you don't bite, right? I don't want ya to scare off my friend, Dory here!" This time, her wink was directed to Helaku. "I was meaning to ask, do I know you? You look very familiar..."

((Dory))
Dory sniffed at the human, lipping her arm, testing the fabric to see if it was edible. She looked at the stallion, then at Nagual, the mare she had just met. She was her friend? Had Dory forgotten that as well? She wouldnt say anything, and just waited to see if the stallion would offer his name...something else for her to forgot!

((Tashika - human))
Tashika giggled at the feel of the mare's lips against her arm and tickled her chin, eyeing the other Soquili as she did so.
"u-da-nv-di" She whispered to the mare. "Kind."

((Helaku))
Helaku let out a hearty laugh. "Nah, I don't bite. I'm Helaku, but I don't believe we've met..." He tilted his head to look at her. "Perhaps it's my mother Delphia you speak of?"

((Nagual-An))
"No," Nagual shook her head, "The name Delphia draws a complete blank for me. I think it was you... but nonetheless, I am Nagual-An, and Dory is behind me."

With a chuckle, Nagual turned to Dory, "So, is the human tasty?" She leaned forward to sniff the woman's hair, but made no effort to nibble.

((Dory))
Dory carefully turned her head, liking the feeling of the human's fingers scritching her chin. She blew air through her nostrils gently then looking at the stallion.
'Hello Helaku!' she said cheerily, then smiled at Nagual.
'It's a weird taste.'

((Helaku))
"Hello." Helaku smiled lightly, glad he'd met new friends. Also a bit relieved that they didn't elicit the confusing rush of emotions that she did...he wasn't sure that he could keep meeting Soquili if every meeting was like that. But one...one he could handle.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual nuzzled Dory, "I will see you around! I hear the river calling me!" Turning to Helaku, she nodded, "Nice meeting you, Helaku... don't be a stranger now, ya hear?"

Picking a flower and putting it into the human's hair, Nagual walked off and back to the river. Her squeals of delight could be heard as she went further downstream.

((Tashika - human))
Tashika stroked the flower and watched the mare's tail dissappear beyond the bend, calling a farewell out after her. "nv-wa-do-hi-ya-da"
(( "Harmony to you." ))
She turned back to the pair of Soquili still standing nearby, and continued to scratch the mare's chin, smiling and laughing the whole time. She glanced at the stallion once more, wondering at the conversation he and the other mare had been having.

((Dory))
Dory panicked a little as Nagual ran off. Now she was alone with the stallion! What if she forgot his name...or worse said something silly.
'Umm,' she looked at the human again, then at Helaku.
'Do you have a human companion?'

Shaitani + Nagual-An

((Shaitani))
It seemed to be a trend, really, the way she was running into so many happy-go-lucky Soquili as of late. She'd done her best to be kind to them, though that might not be quite what you'd call it. In her mind, however, anything less than fussing was kind - and they should be lucky they got even that, what with the kind of mood she was in these days. She couldn't say that she minded, really, and perhaps the reason for her genuine kindness was because she was so starved for company. Still, those ecstatic, hyperactive sorts were about to drive her close to the brink of insanity, and she was afraid that if she happened into one more, one not by the name of Makya anyway, she might just snap and ruin her good streak.

With a calm toss of her head, the choppy blue locks of her mane were done away with, clearing the visionary path of her azure optics. It wouldn't do to not see where she was going. Beneath her hooves bent long blades of emerald grass, sticky clinging sorts, though she moved hrough the shoulder high blades without much though. Behind her trailed that beautiful tail, woven into braids, flicking idly in the wind that brushed back the tufts of grasses around. It was yet another lonely day with nothing but the wind's soft whisper to accompany her.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual was sniffing through the clearing. Because she wasn't eating any of the juicy sprouts of long grass, the effect was very un-soquili-like... if not "unladylike" as well.

At the sound of rustling in the grass, Nagual popped her head up and searched around. Eyeing the lone mare, she weighed her options. It didn't look like the other would mind, as deep in thought as she appeared.

Given any other day, she may not have approached... but it was a gorgeous day and the feel of the sun over her body made her all the more excited to see another soquili. Never mind that it had been such awhile that she'd had any company.

"Excuse me," Nagual called, looking at the other mare, "are you lost?"

((Shaitani))
A lone brow quirked as the mare spoke, eyes finally narrowing on her as if she was just seeing the other for the first time. She suspected she had been lower in the grass, no doubt, or Shai was just too self absorbed at the moment to have noticed her - either way, it was hardly important.

A gentle sigh fluttered past her mug, tail swishing to and fro as she weighed her choices. Talking to themare would undoubtedly start a conversation, and she was not quite sure she care that much for talking right now. Still, if she ignored her, the other could just follow - and that conversation would be less than friendly. After a moment, she nodded and decided.

"No, I'm not lost, just wandering aimlessly," came the words, flowing from her like elegance, liquid elequence. She trod closer, blades bending beneath her hooves once more, leaving a faint trail through the field of rushes - though her movements were nothing less than ladylike.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled. She had seen the hesitation, but either she chose to ignore it or she merely accepted it... it was always a toss-up as to which it was. "Wandering is always fun. Many times, it can turn into an adventure, which always has mixed results. It is the mystery in the act that makes it so fun. Since you don't have a destination, may I inquire as to where your origins were?"

Feeling that she was being too talkative, the mare quieted for a bit. If she accompanied this mare, there was always the possibilities of find berries... if, of course, the other soquili would permit her company.

Nagual-An + Yei Umeko

((Nagual-An))
Nagual looked around her. Usually, she never journeyed into the mountains... it was yet another adventure (at least what she terms as one) the brought her here. She had walked through the corridor of forest of the mountain pass... and there, got sight of the desert. It intrigued her; the barrenness of it. The mare doubted very much that she would find any berries there. The immensity of it was astounding... and she wanted a better view.

It had taken her most of the day to get this high. Nagual had picked and prodded through the moutains, getting higher and higher. Finally, she was at a comfortable height when she finally turned around.

The view was breath-taking, and it was more than just the higher altitude. Nagual was happy that she was not afraid of heights, for if she was there was no way she would have been able to see this. The breeze picked up as the air was carried up the moutain. The mare's mane and tail fluttered gently as invisible fingers caressed and tangled her hair.

((Yei Umeko))
The mountains had always been the soquili mare's home, her fiery coat said to be the result of the meddling spirits within the mists that rested at the peaks. It was therefore no surprise that she knew most of the area on at least simplistic terms as well as the humans and other creatures that would lurk - visitors were rare.

So rare were these visitors, that she was given quite a shock as she came to an abrupt halt atop a ledge that overlooked the deserts and the slopes below and saw none other than a certain mare that she had seen since she was a foal - well, almost, she had seen her a few times after that but the greetings were short.

"Well, well, well..." She murmured smoothly, bobbing her head only briefly as she turned from her slope and delicately leapt from ledge to ledge upon descent, the small 'click' of her hooves against the rocky surfaces somewhat muffled by the mosses that grew upon them.

Nevertheless, it didn't take her long to descend the slope and soon as she was approaching the young mare with a mild smile upon her lips, "I haven't seen you in quite sometime Nagual-An." She spoke up softly.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual turned at the sound of falling rocks. She watched in awe as the bright red mare gracefully made her descent. For sure, she herself did not look nearly so good in those movements... then again, it IS Yei.... who looks good doing about anything.

Smiling brightly, the mare bobbed her head in welcome. "Yei! It's always a pleasure to see you." Nagual sighed, "It has been too long. How have you been?"

((Yei Umeko))
"I've been well." Yei replied with a smile of her own, her pace slowing until she came to halt and observed the scene that had captured the young mare's interest - she was not surprised to see it was the desert as, when she was a foal she remembered rather vaguely about thinking that the sand was gold...like the rocks she found in the river sometimes.

((Nagual-An))
"A little preoccupied with my own affairs but still well and yourself?" She continued, raising an equine brow to survey the mare before grinning more mischeviously, "Any stallions of interest?"

Nagual shook her head and eyed Yei playfully, "Stallion? You know them... dense creatures that are either too full of themselves or too unsure. Either way, not enough fun for interest...." The mare winked. "And yourself? Any stallions that I need to know about?"

((Yei Umeko))
"Ah, now that is an interesting question..." For a time the mare appeared to be bashfully hesitant before at last stepping forward slightly to admire the deserts and then the forested slopes to her left where a certain being currently held her interest - granted nothing had happened between the two but she couldn't help but wish it would sometimes.

"There is a stallion, but I'm not sure how he feels yet." She confessed and flashed a warm smile, her mane ruffling slightly in the cool breeze that now mingled with the dry around this particular area of the mountain, "He's very handsome and although he's quite there's a part of him that's mildly rebellious..." She gave a chuckle and shook her head to the side.

"I guess we'll just have to see but I'm surprised you haven't found a male yet yourself!"

((Nagual-An))
Nagual laughed as the wind carried her voice away. "Me? With a stallion? My dear Yei, I am much too young for courting... and I like my freedom at the moment. One day, perhaps, but there is too much for me to see right now."

The mare was secretly delighted to hear about Yei's interest. How delightful! "I am so happy for you! Does this lucky stallion have a name? And how can he resit you?" Nagual winked over at her 'mentor's' direction.

((Yei Umeko))
"Ah, one is never too young to start practicing Nagual, always remember that." Yei pointed out wisely as she vaguely remembered trying to 'court' young colts when she was a filly in the hopes of coming to understand their thoughts, unfortunately...she never quite realised until now that they matured over the years and filly skills were not as useful as she had once thought.

"Even so, his name is Whisper but you have to promise not to speak to him about it, he doesn't know!" She giggled and shook her head from side to side before leaning close as though fearful of being over heard, "He has the finest white coat I have ever seen and he is so polite, quiet yes but even then there's a twinkle in his eye...I don't know why, he just seems nice." She mused as though uncertain of her own words, in all honesty she'd never actually been interested in a stallion before!

((Nagual-An))
Nagual listened intently. She really looked up to Yei as if the mare was truly her mentor. "Well, then... if I am not to young, then I guess I just haven't found the right one," the mare grinned. Never really understanding the male race, Nagual felt that she wasn't prepared and that more experience and years would give her that which to succeed in such causes.

"Whisper? I don't think I've had the opportunity to meet him. Nonetheless, you're secret is safe with me. He will not hear anything from this mare, nope! He sounds like a fine catch, was it thoughts of him that brought out you this way? I know you live in the mountains, but I wasn't expecting to see you today."

Nagual-An + Firefly

((Nagual-An))
Nagual walked around the forest boundary. Usually, she was in high spirits, especially when she found her precious berries. Today, however, she was in a more contemplating mood. Ever since the meeting, she could not stop thinking about the human female Sanika. Who was the 'white flower', and why did she have such a strong connection with the human?

Such thoughts rarely took over her so completely. It distracted her from the sweetness of the berries, and even the red morsels could not distract her. Almost angrily, Nagual walked away from the bush and started to walk towards the plains. Maybe the clear spanning of the prairie-like grass would help take her mind off of Sanika?

Nagual started her small expedition. She had tunnel-vision, staring off at nothing at the grass directly in front of her hooves with her head bowed down. Every now and then, she would shake her head, to try and get her wavy mane to stop impeding on her view.

((Firefly))
After the early morning encounter with the strange Shinzu and the brutish Rahu, Firefly had found her way into a large span of plain. She had moved around it, inspecting it furthur. It was quite larger than her own little field of grass which was fairly humbling to her really.

As she moved about, she flicked her long silver and black tail a few times, ears perking as her dark red eyes stared at all around her. They lidded slightly and she snorted. The picture of that earlier meeting still fresh in mind. Rahu, was a dolt.

Lowering her head slightly, she nipped as some green grass, her tail brushing against the back of her legs. Though her head was down her ears were still perked to pick up any sounds of nearby bodies comeing along her way.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual was quiet in her walking. Being in such a mood, she was dragging her hooves. The effect of it sounded as if she was just a semi-loud breeze in the grass. The one time the mare was pretty much silent in her approach, and she wasn't even trying. That was usually how these thing happen, though.

It wasn't until Nagual was -almost- literally on top of the dark mare before she noticed that there was even another presense. She looked over, her eyes glazed over in confusion as she tried to figure out what was going on. How had she even come this far?

The mare looked around, to see if there were any others. She also noticed that they were surrounded by a complete expanse of grass. Other landmarks were not discernible. Nagual was too shocked to say anything. Instead, she just stared at the other mare, as if she had never seen another soquili in her life.

((Firefly))
Firefly's head snapped up and her eyes narrowed as she spotted the other mare so close to her. How could she of let someone get so close without her knowing? Well it didn't matter right now. The only thing on her mind at the moment was that this one was stareing at her. Stareing at her? Jeez.

She tossed her head slightly, lifting her long mane away from her eyes. It then settled back against her slender neck. She stared back at the mare, analyzing her. This one seemed like she had a clouded mind or something. The way her eyes looked so glazed.

Snorting lightly, she narrowed her eyes a bit more as if to give her a look that said 'And just what are you looking at?' Her tail gave a graceful flick to the side then hung against her hinde legs.

((Nagual-An))
When the dark mare flung her mane, it seemed to shake Nagual out of her shock. She shook her head, clearing it. Her eyes cleared as she also pushed the thoughts about the mysterious human to the back of her mind.

Nagual smiled sheepishly, "I have to admit, I was surprised to see you. I didn't expect to see anyone out here... Much less someone I almost walked in to. I do apologize for my rude behavior. I am Nagual-An."

The woman had called her that. How had the human known? She hadn't told Sanika that that was her name. And how did she, Nagual, know that the woman's name was Sanika? It still made no sense. Instead, the mare shoved the thoughts back down as they bubbled up.

This other mare would be a nice distraction for awhile.

((Firefly))
Firefly sighed lightly. Oh what fun this would be. Not. She would of rather had Shinzu sneak up on her or someone else. But definatly not this mare. She seemed weak and in a daze for some reason. Shrugging it off, she mustered up a slight smile and raised an eyebrow as the mare spoke.

Her tail gave another flick as her ears perked slightly. "Well, I guess you need to expect the unexpected. And pay attention to where you're going. Though you seem sort of lost and confused. So that would probably be the reason you nearly walked into me." She shifted her weight slightly and stretched her neck.

"Nagual-An? Interesting enough name I suppose. I guess I should tell you my name. I am Firefly. Or atleast that's what my two legger calls me anyways."

Nagual noticed the attitude in Firefly. She had the feeling she was not making a good impression, but that didn't bother her. She was usually so carefree that not much did... except for maybe someone eating berries she had worked so hard to find. Nonetheless, it was a gorgeous day.

The mare snorted a little and smiled, "I hardly pay attention, and am usually lost... so those are not new to me." It was true, Nagual was such a free-spirit, she went where-ever she pleased. Of course, put in those words, she was never really 'lost', just on another one of her adventures. "I must admit, I am confused... but not in anything around here, except maybe how far I've come from the forest in such a short amount of time. I am sorry about almost colliding with you, Firefly."

"I guess it is an interesting name..." Nagual chewed on that thought for a moment. It definitely was not a common type of name around here, but surely it wasn't strange as well? At the mention of the two leggers, the mare's eyes almost seemed to flash. What went through them went by too quickly. It could have been anger, hurt, confusion, frustration, or something all together. With a deep sigh, Nagual grumbled, "Two leggers are what I am trying to forget about... they seem to be nothing but trouble right now."

((Firefly))
Firefly yawned lightly and stretched her neck again. She had woken up too early and gotten attitude from Rahu too early to really care about much today anyways. So she decided to let this mare entertain her for the moment before she grew bored and walked away. Besides it's not like anyone else was around for her to pick on anyways.

"I see. Well maybe you should pay attention a bit more often than you normally do. You could end up falling in a hole and breaking your legs. Then what would happen? I'm sure the pain would be immense and the two leggers would have to either take care of you in hopes of your bones healing well or just ending your misery right then and there." It was a cruel thing to say, and Firefly didn't really care how Nagual took it, but it was a hard fact. A Soquili with broken legs wasn't really something a two legger would want to take care of and would inhibit a Soquili's daily life. All they could do was lye around like a fallen log and do absolutly nothing.

She shuffled her feet for a moment then looked up towards the sky. "Nothing but trouble you say?" Her head lowered and she stared at Nagual. "My two legger pretty much leaves me alone. I only go to her when I need a place to sleep or something else. Other than that I pretty much roam wherever I want whenever I please. So they're really not all that much trouble to me."

((Nagual-An))
Break her legs? Nagual didn't think such a thing was possible. She had done many things and had no injuries... of course, the possibility was always there, it just never occurred to her. Why should it? The mare usually lived in the present, and that was it. There was no reason for her to think of consequences. Nevertheless, the other mare thought it was a complete possibility.

Nagual shrugged, "Well, then I will deal with that issue when it comes up." Her eyes brightened, "for now, I will not worry such a depressing issue. Hopefully it will never happen."

At the talk of the two-leggers, the mare was almost entranced. You could do that? Nagual looked at Firefly in a different light, as if the other mare brought good tidings. The previous conversation about breaking legs was utterly forgotten. "You can do that? Once you have a two legger, you can just... leave them to their own devices and come around whenever you feel like it?" The thought was a revelation to her, not one that had never appeared to her before. She was used to soquilis always hanging around their two leggers and leaving unexpectantly when called.

((Firefly))
Firefly sighed lightly and flicked her tail idely. Obvisouly this one had either been around two leggers too long or she was just plain naieve. "Yes, you can do that. Just because some stay around their two leggers all the time doesn't mean everyone has to. Sure you're bonded to them and what not but that doesn't mean you can't go off and do your own thing. Seriously, if I listened to my two legger and ran to them when they called I'd feel like a mere tame wolf comeing to it's master begging for scraps or something. Not something I'd want to do."

The corners of her mouth curled slightly as she eyed Nagual. This one seemed a bit off in the head slightly. For some reason she felt a bit sorry for her but that feeling was quickly washed away. Firefly rarely felt sorry for anyone.

((Nagual-An))
Nagual listened carefully, storing the information away for future use. Probably the closest she ever came to thinking ahead. The mare shook her head, "I never knew any of this. I have only come in contact with two leggers twice. Once a long time ago, when I was still very young... and the other day." She didn't really want to go into details with the recent encounter. It still confused her, it made no sense.

The mare smiled at Firefly, truly grateful, "I do thank you for the insight. My information about two-leggers is through other soquili only. Some despise the race, while others seem quite attached... but I do not want to lose my freedom by the appearance of," she paused, "certain two-leggers that may prevent me from my adventures."

She dug one of her hooves in the ground, thinking how foolish she sounded. But, when was she ever one to care in the first place?

((Firefly))
Firefly eyed Nagual slightly then looked off into the distance for a moment. Her ears perked slightly as she listened to the nearby birds that had started singing amungst the trees. Turning her eyes back to Nagual she shook her head slightly. "Don't base your opinion of two leggers on other's opinions. Make you own opinion of them. Don't follow other's views. If you do that makes you a follower when you should be a leader."

Why was she getting the sudden feeling that this wasn't going to be as entertaining as she had hoped it would be. Sighing lightly under her breath she shook her head casually, displaceing loose hair from her eyes. "No one can stop you if you don't want them to. The only thing that makes them stop you is your inability to keep them from stopping you. If you just push them aside and carry on they'll leave you to your own doings."

((Nagual-An))
The mare grunted. It didn't seem she was in a situation to do such a thing. While she wanted nothing to do with Sanika, something pulled her to the human. Nagual knew that she would one day return to the woman... but for now, she would fight the urge. It was like fighting the urge of fresh berries covered in dew.... the mare didn't know how long she owuld be able to hold out.

Nagual eyed Firefly, "I do not know if I am a follower or a leader... but you need both for the relationship to occur. You cannot have a leader without followers... who would they lead?" She tried to imagine herself, pushing aside a human... or anything else for that matter. The imagery made her giggle.

((Firefly))
Firefly eyed Nagual for a moment before closeing her eyes. "I'm sure you'll figure that out one day. And yes you need both for a relationship, but sometimes followers can turn into great leaders if given the oportunity. But eh...doesn't matter to me really. I'm more of a leader anyways. I don't like following." Her tail flicked side to side as she rolled this thought over and over in her mind.

Her ears perked slightly as Nagual giggled and she opened her eyes a bit. Raiseing an eyebrow, she snorted lightly. What exactly was so funny?

((Nagual-An))
Nagual smiled, "I'm glad for you, we still need great leaders as well." With a wink, the mare noticed that Firefly was looking at her strange. Her mood was definitely improving, and she had succeeded in pushing the Sanika-matter deep into her mind.

"Oh not you," she giggled again. "I was just trying to imagine me pushing someone aside. They would probably move too past and I would end up on the ground with grass and dirt in my mane."
