Another item to add to my list is get a full time job. Not sure if I'm going to keep the one I have now after I'm successful. I'm not getting nearly enough hours to be able to move out into a place on my own, let alone be able to live off of that amount. My dad also wants me to get my car able to be driven (he's been driving me insane about it (I understand that my parents are spending a lot in gas (though I'm paying them gas money for the gas that them taking me around is costing them), as well as the wear on the car won't help it to last a while, but he seems to have forgotten that the number of hours I'm getting with the pay I'm getting is not going to help me afford it, I'm working on the repairs that are needed first (which thankfully aren't many)) , and in order to do that, I need to be able to pay for insurance on it. Working three days a week average on minimum wage is not enough to be able to insure my car, let alone be able to move out on my own and live off of the pay.

This year is just starting off great! Looks like we'll have another goal crossed off the list soon! Abby's going to have her first agility trial/fun match next month eek earlier than I expected, but one of our instructors will be there and it'll just be a good setting since I'll have some fimilar faces around and to help me out. So nervous though and I still need to register her. It won't be AKC like I was planning instead it'll be USDAA which rules!

zomg zomg zomg! just got my pay cheque today. For $320, which, once it clears, should pay off my visa completely with about $55 to spare. I think my phone bill is going through soon, so, that will leave me with nothing but YAY, visa will be at zero in a few days!

I do have a small issue, my next fido bill is going to be close to $200 because I accidentally used internet when I was in the US last weekend. But I already called Fido and they said when my bill comes in we can fix it. So maybe get it down to $80 instead which is only 30 more than usual.

I have $65 coming to me soon from my online store and I get my pay from my other job this thursday, also should be around 300. So by the end of the week I will be almost completely debt free. (owe 100 to school and 400 to dad.)

My school schedule is really light this week, only 3 days a week, so I'm working more hours than last semester. So STAYING out of debt, and actually saving up some money should not be much of an issue.

This is so exciting, my visa hasn't been paid of since...like, almost 2yrs or maybe even more. And now it's just a few days away. This is more exciting than christmas!

My visa bill = $0.00 xd

next up, school, and then dad. Tried to pay my school vet bill today, no one was around, so next week. Dad will be probably in installments over the next 2-4 weeks.

To celebrate, I transfered $20. into my tax free savings account at ING, where I use to keep my savings back before I had a car, back when I actually had like $8000 saved up to move out. I like ING cause I don't have a debit card for it. If I want money from that account, I have to transfer, and that takes a couple days to go through. So it stops me from using that money unless I ABSOLUTELY need it.

So my credit card is paid off, and I officially started saving again (gotta start somewhere). Pretty exciting. Once I am 100% debt free I actually can start thinking about how I want to spend my money. Do I mostly ski, do I join a gym, or do I spend all of it on Cowboy. confused

So sad, but true story the coaching job isn't going to work out *sniff* I had the job in the bag, but after a really long hard thought I really need to get the ball rolling with my school work and I'm already busy with Agility and it's just not going to happen. So I'm letting my sister take my position if she wants it. That plus the coaching class I have to take is on the same day as my sisters birthday and I'm already in charge of that so unless I can make the coaching class up no job...

But I'm going to apply at a few local places and hopefully hear back...

But I do get to cross Abby's first trial off the list. That's happening in a little less than 2 weeks. I've got the premuim and registration junk filled out and check ready to go out tomorrow viz express mail! So should get my confirmation e-mail in a few days

aww really? That sux, I woulda thought it'd be a great job as it can't be more than 2hrs a couple days a week. Another job might require more hours from you.

Anyway, I am so close to being debt free, but now Cowboy is going back to rehab, I dunno what that's gona cost. The next two weeks I'll be low on cash and then I get my big pay. I really wana ski but it's been a shitty season. Hopefully I'll do Killington this Wednesday. I'll make the exception to put it on my visa since I know my next pay will cover it and more. But the gym membership is on hold.

So far, visa=paid off, school=paid off, Dad=50% paid off, another $320 to go!
Cowboy's endurance is starting back at zero. I'm gona be taking him for underwater treadmill to get him back in shape while he gets over this arthritis flare up. And hopefully he'll be fine for the next skijoring meetup, we haven't been in over a month crying

Yeah I was really excited for it and it's not much work, but I'm really behind in my work and I really need to catch up in that and between practices, games, volunteering, agility and everything else going on in my crazy mixed up life I don't think I'll be able to do it right now(both physically and mentally) and I really just want to focus on my work and try to finish the semester up on time cuz honestly by the looks of it right now I won't be done till long after my sister's summer vacay is up(but I also started late soooo....), but I plan to definately do it during this coming fall season wink

Poor cowboy. Hopefully with the underwater treadmilling he'll be back to normal soonish.

I have an update as well! I got Squirtle into a bigger tank! It was a little smaller than what I was hoping for, but not by much. blaugh

And every time you ask him for another vanishing act,
he half smiles as if to say...

Personal:

~ Get back on track with my classes for school, including taking several credits over the summer. I've already started the process for that.

~ Save up several thousand dollars for the school year from my summer job. This will be very tough with my commute to work (40 minutes) and not really being able to stay at my grandparents' house this summer. Hoping to get a second job and possibly see about converting my car to take biofuel.

~ Actually start exercising so I can have better than spaghetti arms. And maybe actually see my abs.

Pet:

~ Find a new home for my Chinese algae eater, Sylvie, who's gotten a bit too big for the tank I have. She's gotten way bigger than she should have in a short amount of time and I don't have the resources or space to get a bigger tank.

~ Get Max (our Morkie puppy) paper trained and crate trained so I don't have to sleep next to the crate at night.

~ Train Max to come, sit, stay, and any miscellaneous tricks we might think of. The first are most important to us, though.

~ Adopt a Yorkie possibly? Max could use a friend, and we've already had the adoption process started through a group, just no one wants to come do a home visit of us to get approved.

..."Whatever you want,
whatever you want,
whatever you want is fine by me."

Great Idea, we can check back to this thread periodically throughout the year and then again at the end of the year.

Personal: Pay off all debt and start saving for my own place.
Find the time to ski, aim for once a week, go at least 10 times in the season. (failed)
Spend more time with my fur kids
Continue to exercise at least 3 times a week. Hopefully join a gym, at the very least bounce from gym to gym with free trials. I'm happy with my weight but I want to see my abs again, lost them when I quit the pool and all the teams I was involved in there. (currently successful, need to keep this going for the rest of 2012 though)

Fur kids: Get rid of the rat lice!
Give away the rest of my baby fish (damn fish keep making more babies)
Keep Rascal's Creatinine levels in normal range (recheck is in 1-2 months)
Manage Cowboy's arthritis (so far it's worse)

Cowboy: Work up to 5km runs and join the professional group at power paws. Do at least one full moon run this year. (failed)
Get his next freestyle title, the new level just opened TODAY, it would be incredibly amazing if we were the first to get this new title.
Qualify for USDDN and go to Worlds, I don't care if I place, I just want to qualify and go see this amazing event.

P.S don't worry about your DL, my permit expired before I got mine too. Got my permit right away at 16' only got my license at 18 and only got my car at 21

Well, debt is payed off, completely, bank account is in the positives, as in, I actually have money left over after each pay check and it lasts all week till my next pay check so nothing is even going on my visa anymore. So that was a big accomplishment, however, Cowboy's tooth is either getting pulled or coming out so that will cost a good amount and I am unable to save up for it since I'm doing my internship. Which means I will have to temporarily go back into debt for like, 2 weeks. Ideally no more than that. At least the semester is almost over, working full time it should NOT be an issue to pay that off ASAP. I'm still deciding where I want to work this summer but I'm leaning strongly towards the store and it's sooo close, I can bike, and even if I DO drive, I will hardly have to spend any money on gas, so I should be able to make a good amount of money over the summer so that whatever crap happens next it won't result in debt.

As for skiing, well it was the WORST winter I can remember, I went 5 times, and two of those were half days. One of which was like, not even a half, I think I got like 2hrs in and I lost my camera.

Cowboy's arthritis came back with a vengence, so instead of working up his endurance, I've just been throwing my money into sort of, trying to manage it. sad Which means our frisbee career is looking pretty much finished right now.

Ok guys and for my best accomplishment of this year....

So for those that don't know my nearly 4 (turns 4 march 28th) year old boxer boy is fear aggressive towards other dogs. Well when Bo was a puppy he had been attacked by a dog while on a walk and due to lack of proper socialization he became dog aggressive though it was more fear aggression and he had it in his head the best defense is a good offense. Well guess what seems like my hard work with him has paid off!

Basically we found this girlie running around outside our house.
User Image

Anywho we put her in our backyard, but she was an escape artist so since we obviously couldn't leave her unsupervised we decided to introduce everybody...

Abby was first and as always she was an angel. Then we brought Bo out. First I had them separated so we were in the screen porch and she was on the other side. I did a bit of focus work and simple commands and he did great! So then I bucked up and took him out to meet her.

I was really shocked by how well he did. The other dog basically ignored him and he was like woah. Keep in mind Bo doesn’t have very many dog skills either. After a while I let him drag the leash and there were a few times where I had to pull him back because like I said he has no real doggie skills and doesn’t understand warning signs. So when he got to in her face I had to step in. But we had absolutely no growling from him!

Then we brought all three dogs out and with Abby he was a bit more alert I guess, but still no issues so we brought them all inside out of the heat and with the exception of Abby being a butt about “her stuff” they did great! Bo was still in her face a bit so I had to step in every now and then, but nothing to bad. And in the end this is what we had….

(was taken right before her owners called)

I'm sooo proud of my boy. He's come such a long way and hopefully he only continues to improve. This whole situation had me feeling better about brining the new puppy into the house and hopefully with proper introductions and shizz they will be BFFL.

Congrats on both your DL and on all the training you've given Bo! I'm glad he's doing better with other dogs! biggrin I'm glad Bandit didn't get dog aggressive since he had been somewhat attacked by one before I had gotten him (He wasn't kept on the owner's property, and at that time, most of the neighborhood dog owners also let their dogs run loose. I was walking Country, and Bandit and one other dog (Her name was Cocoa) were tagging along. A car had come, and had to stop because those two were standing in the middle of the road. It was blocking my view of them and they weren't listening to my calls. I heard Cocoa snarl and Bandit yelp before they finally got out from in front of the car. Thankfully, Bandit wasn't hurt. Cocoa was the only dog Bandit had become aggressive towards after he got older... He otherwise LOVES meeting other dogs.) Bo's Birthday is the same day as Bandit's! Bandit turns 9! biggrin
