Even though he had no desire to see anyone besides his ghoulfriend, West still found himself itching to get out of his dorm. So get out he did. In the dead of the night.

There were only a few places he could go where he could engage in a little harmless exertion: the gym, which would mean interaction with the very students he was trying to avoid; the haunted house, which was largely the same, only with hunters added to the mix... no thank you; or where he had ended up, Desu's cave of wonders.

The first handful of times he had journeyed here, he had found himself waist deep in Christmas Town. West knew now it hadn't actually been Christmas Town, in fact, he had come to the conclusion that the place could probably change into anywhere it damn well pleased, but as he approached its craggy entrance, he would have bet good money it would turn out to be someplace different this time.

He didn't smell any peppermint.

He stepped inside, squinting his eyes against the strong wind that blew up from its depths. There were two long trails of torches bolted to the cave walls, but none of their flames moved in the breeze.

West continued on.

...and on...  

[Smerdle]

...and on.

Gradually, the space between the torches grew wider after each pair, and the cave gained its own pinkish glow. The breeze smelled like chocolate and strawberries, and West felt the occasional sharp pinch in a random location on his body, a sensation he couldn't seem to correlate with the colors and smells that surrounded him. He might have guessed this place was Valentine's Land, but he recalled getting more pecked than pinched there.

Oh, well. He supposed he would find out where he was soon enough.

West arrived at the fork so abruptly that he almost smacked into the wall between the paths. Somewhere along the way, the torches had disappeared completely and the walls and floor had smoothed out until the whole system of caverns seemed more like the main hall of a particularly confusing mansion than some cave in a hillside.

The boil looked left, then right. Which way now? One path looked as calm and safe as the house he had compared this place to in his mind. The other was, well, difficult for the boil to wrap his head around. Thousands of sparkling pink ribbons were suspended from the low ceiling by another thousand pieces of sparkling neon tape and between the ribbons, a blizzard of glitter drifted to the floor. Piles of the stuff gathered at the juncture between the wall and the floor, but it was quickly piling up everywhere else as well.

West sighed. He really wanted to take the easier route, but he had a very strong feeling that was not the way to get through.

The scary way then. This was Halloween, after all.

He barreled down the hall, glitter infesting his hair and sticking in the corners of his eyes. With an angry growl he pressed on, squinting against the barrage of thoroughly unmanly pink. The strange wind let loose in alternating gusts, forcing West's angry curses to remain inside his head for the most part, in order to save him from a case of glitter mouth. Still, when the wind died down, they were back on his lips almost immediately.

In the distance, he thought he could hear the strains of peppy, upbeat music, but he couldn't be sure. It would fade as soon as he focused on it, but he was certain it was getting louder. At least that was something.

There was no end in sight, but West kept going anyway.

There comes a point in everyone's life when they stop caring about how many metric tons of glitter are lost on their body. That point had come and gone for the wrath demon, and as promised, he didn't care. He could tell it had been quite a while since he'd chosen to subject himself to this cheery mess, but over time the glitter, bows and pinches had ended, and the music had gotten louder. It hadn't reached an uncomfortable level, thank Jack, but at least he knew now that he hadn't been imagining things.

West rounded the corner, a sparkling drizzle leaking from his clothes. In front of him rose a tall, thin door. It was white with red spots. Something about it seemed strangely familiar.  

[Smerdle]

He grabbed the handle, yanking the door open with a rusty creak. The space inside was very dark, but he stepped past the threshold anyway, his eyes glowing faintly in the gloom. The door slid shut behind him.

West almost called out. He had drawn in a breath to speak when a pink spotlight buzzed to life, illuminating the murk ahead of him. Nothing was there, at least not at first.

The soft patter of paws sounded nearby just as he was about to turn around and try to find a door. A small creature stepped into the light, a creature who looked terribly familiar.

"Professor?" West said, his voice swallowed up by the room. He took a step forward. The little white blob launched itself into the air. It was definitely not his professor.

The demon debated staying and putting up a fight, but in the end he just turned and took off. He wasn't wasting a fight on some fake version of a professor, even if QB was one of the weirder ones.

6- Desu Special. It's like the princess corner, only bigger. Going off the path results in glitter and stickers, along with pink ribbons. Oh as well as a sharp needle like sensation pricking you.
