Merope's hands continued to shake, even after he had mustered up the courage to decide attend the class. There were times when Merope still felt resentful towards the professor who had been nothing but helpful towards him. But it was through Malcolm's teachings that Merope became painfully aware of how weak he was when it came to mastering Fear, and how weak he still was. If only he was a little stronger. No, not a little -- if only he was stronger, then perhaps...

The grip on his minipet tightened as Merope took a deep breath, steadying his nerves as he entered the classroom. He made a bee-line towards the sign-up sheet, his hand shaking with guilt as he wrote down his minipet's name. It shouldn't have been her. It should have been him, his minipet that stuck with him through thick and thin, who --

Who was no longer with him. Merope forced himself to finish signing up before claiming a desk, clinging to the small draconic minipet in his arms for comfort. It wasn't until he looked up that he started with surprise. Professor Savage was here?! He was about to call out a greeting before he choked it off, staring as other professors joined in.

Merope settled for slouching down in his seat, quietly stroking his minipet for comfort while waiting for the class to begin.

Despite the rather...disastrous last class with the illustrious Professor Malcom, he still remained Ren's favorite teacher, and therefore he would not have missed this class if he could help it.

Even if it was talking about something weird like a minipet battle - what did that even mean?

When he arrived at Professor Malcom's classroom, Ren discovered that - once again - the classroom looked nothing like it had the last time he had been in here. Malcom did have a tendency of this, considering that Ren remembered tentacles and trying to get across a field of some sort from before, but now the room was almost entirely empty.

Ren was slightly suspicious.

He sighed, and continued into the room, dragging along with him, of course, a certain rabbit - though not the rabbit he normally dragged in with him...

Minipet battling. It was an interesting concept. Shun would rather fight personally, but it did intrigue him. It was enough to bring him out to see what it was all about. Bent-Tail, while a faithful companion, was not a fighter. Yin and Yang often did not want to be separate and he was certain he couldn't have a tag team duo. And thus, he walked on into the classroom with the metallic raptor/dragon creature in tow.

Arkham already acted as a sort of guard for his room, so he had little doubt that the little guy had the ferocity to make battle with others.

Looking on around the room, it looked like a lot of other students had come on up. Wait... there were a few professors around here. Furrowing his brow, he eyed the few professors scattered on about, before finding himself a spot in the room to wait. This... should definitely be interesting.

Trying to get out of her room with only one minipet accompanying her was a difficult task. One had thought they were going for a run. One was was just clinging because he was good at that. And yet another had just wanted to continue to harass her in all ways possible. Clearly, all three were perfect candidates for taking to Professor Malcolm's class! Except, his announcement had said something about....minipet battles?

LW knew exactly which minipet she should throw into that. And wanted to throw into that. Which was exactly why she was not bringing the purple mimic. Too much of a temptation to throw the terror against a wall herself. And then there was her hazmutt. He was her most well behaved minipet and LW loved having him go places with her. But a battle? No. He was too much of a sweetheart.

Which left the clinger. Her batling, Callix. Who had recently gone through a small change and LW swore the batling was even worse now!

The she-wolf entered classroom 14 warily, peering inside before stepping within the room. A very...empty room. Oh Jack... She loved their minipet Professor. Loved attending his classes. And knew that this was probably a bad sign that they were all going to be limping out of this room. Again. And there were strange, kind of familiar, looking scribbles on the wall...Tail flicking, she moved to sign her name before looking around at the other students already here.

Thankfully there were some familiar faces in the room. And once scent in particular caught her attention the second she'd walked in the door. But first she had a friend to say hi to! "Mort!" The she-wolf called cheerfully, her batling lifting his head curiously from where it had been flopped atop her own. Said batling was just sprawled out like a hat on her head. She waved at the undead boil, but it was a ghoul LW approached first with a bright smile.

"Amphi! How are you?" Callix definitely liked this ghoul more than the boil his lady master had first waved at. He made a strange 'chirp' like sound, eyes homed in on the ghoul. LW turned her gaze to spot the boil she had known was in here, a special smile lighting up her face when she spotted Ren. "Why not stick with me and my boilfriend?" LW offered the mermaid ghoul. "I really want you to meet him! He's such a sweetheart and I know you'll love him too!" She gave her friend a light tug, nodding towards the gryphon.

Professor Malcolm, she remembered, was the Professor who had taken her for the exam, though this would be the first time she would be attending his lessons. The ghoul was somewhat excited about the class, though to be honest, it wasn't exactly her favourite subject. Dingo was feeling rather ambivalent about the idea as well, but rather than let Edel be stuck with the other two (grumpy and sedentary Snow and the skittish Chives), he simply went along with it instead.

Edel arrived at classroom 14 to find that it was rather packed, including three members of the school faculty. The ghoul took a seat, wondering what on earth could be so important that even the other professors should come. Little did she know.

Minipets, as everyone knew, were serious business.

Yin had been completely oblivious to Alexander or anyone else coming in because Princess Eva was with him, and Princess Eva was a powerful distraction indeed, and now he had scooped her into his arms and she was the most perfect minipet that could possibly ever exist. And she was purring. So he tried not to act too startled when Alexander called out to him. Missing his own bonded coming into the room because of Princess Eva? Well, it would probably happen again.

"Greeti--battles?" He glanced down at Princess Eva, who had stopped purring with Alexander's arrival, though she was eyeing the creature he held with some interest. It appeared that it wanted to escape, and she could understand that so well. "I did not...Princess Eva brought me here." She looked up at him when he said her name. Battling? Well it might be interesting, though she had assumed she would be putting her boil into battle. But a chance to beat her boil's pet's creature? That sounded rather fun. She nuzzled Yin reassuringly.

Yin was not exactly reassured but he did take a moment to look around the room. Nurse Cricket? She was here? Was she there in case the minipets were injured? He felt himself straightening up slightly simply knowing she was in the room. "Do students force their pets to fight?" he asked Alexander, though he was still eyeing the nurse.  

[Pixie Nyxie]

Amphi squeaked as she was called out before looking at the Valkyrie and smiling. "Hel! Hello!" She walked over to the ghoul before smiling shyly, "It looks like we'll be part of training our minipets this time around instead of ourselves?" She flushed before another familiar voice called her out. Turning her head, she looked at the she-wolf before flushing again.

"LW." She squeaked as she was dragged away from Hel before waving, "I'll come to battle you Hel!" Was all she said before focusing on the red wolf and her minipet. "Ah your minipet...so cute!" She touched the batling before looking over the shewolf, "Ah...your boilfriend?" She looked around to see who she pointed at before linking her arm through Lw and shyly ducking her head in her shoulder...."If...If you want me too..." She flushed again. The kushi Kushi on her shoulder made a small squeak as it was squished between Amphi and LW.

[Toshihiko Two]

A minipets class, golly! Pickles had all sorts of miniature friends. His best friend, Drippy Deer, was an artist and kind of sensitive. Thistle was always busy. Harry was shy.

But he bet Miss Amelia would have fun with this class.

She dangled from his arms, her hairless skin well-brushed and her wig carefully attached to her beautiful, glittery head. He often practiced his facepainting on Amelia, and she didn't seem to mind, gracious as always. With her bows and makeup she looked every part the proper lady.

Willow had seen the notice about the minipets class and was suddenly delighted. "Oh good, something useful." Her eyes made their way down to the scareon that was looking up at the board mimicing Willow.

"Maybe they can help me teach you the meaning of 'no'." She sighed and headed towards the class, the Scareon following behind her. "I should probably give you a name besides Creepy OwO face." The tigress gave a small shake of her head, thinking as she walked, "Alright fine, here I'll call you Houle." The scareon gave a happy scaarrree noise as it followed her. Willow had luckily seen the class notice right before the class started so she slipped into the room with the scareon behind her and signed up.

Thackery had already begun preparing himself for the newest minipet class before the announcement was even over. He made sure his bag was packed with fear candies and tiny hairbrushes before attending to all of his curious minipets, who were all in need of a good grooming. And then came the problem of picking just one minipet to come along with him...

In the end, it was Kari. The bakekitsune was more fluff than fight, but when she sensed he was going out to be around other students and their minipets again, she gave him a look that he couldn't resist: the cold glare of I will not snuggle you for a month if you don't give me this.

It was uncharacteristic of her, but he wasn't going to question it, lest she make another silent threat.

He stepped into the classroom and peered around, Kari draped lavishly across his shoulders. The green runes didn't seem to concern him in the slightest, but the apparent lack of supplies to doctor up any minipet booboos made his fur bristle. Nooo, minipet welfare and all that stuff!

TRICK OR TREAT Old Batty

Savage almost fell out of her chair. Norvie was taking minipet training too? She gave him a nod of approval and a wicked toothy grin that wasn't entirely unpleasant. It was a relief to see another professor having minipet troubles. Savage, her self, owned no minipets of her own. But the bats didn't seem like they were about to go anywhere anytime soon so might as well learn how to deal.

If only she had her sunglasses on her...

Cricket did not go unnoticed. Nor the fact that she made no attempt to sit near Savage or Norvie. The fact that Cricket maybe really just wanted to sit away from what was work related never got calculated in the professors brain. Instead the ginger leviathan took it a bit as an insult. So of course Savage made a point to grin and wave at her a little more excitedly then she had with Norvie.

"HELLO CRICKET~" She cried as fake cheerful as she could. No, Savage did not know Cricket to well. But she didn't care. Savage folded her arms behind her head and kicked back leaning back like she was some kind of deliquescent student. Before Savage could get to comfortable she noticed a familiar winged ghoul waving at her. Oh! She remembered her. Helena was it? Savage couldn't rightfully remember the students actual name but she did remember the face at the very least.

"Oh hello~ So nice to see you taking this class Helena~" Savage used the name she was unsure of any ways. None the less, the greeting was sincere.

Nothing Yet

Gene had never been overly fond of the concept of battling her precious minis, but Gideon... GIdeon was a born fighter. Whenever she was away, Gideon would sneak away into the closet and fight in the adventure dome, coming home with bruises and cuts, but always with a gigantic grin on his little face. She knew what he did was dangerous...but it made him happy.


In lieu of that information, Gene came prepared for this class; bag filled with bandages, fear candies, ointments, thread, and a needle. She wasn't a nurse by any means, but she had seen movies and videos on Gruetube. Patching him up couldn't be too hard, right? She entered the room with that thought, and Gideon wrapped around her neck, acting as a source of warmth and -in his mind- protection. She gave waves to Mort and Sura. before settling down to wait for class to start.

Gideon, however, was not down with that program. He caught a scent in the air that tickled his nose and caused him to blush. It was a mix of fresh rain and jasmine - Kari. They hadn't spoken since the Scarentine's mixer. Did she still feel the same way he did? He hoped so. He approached her owner, who she was perched on. Hrmm...how to get her attention? Climbing this boil would be very rude, and might put Kari off. He began to whine, and scratch at the boil's ankle.

Hel grinned as Amphi approached, giving the mermaid a fond wave as she nodded her head. “Indeed we will be! It is important to train everything, ya?” She glanced over at the other ghoul the mermaid called out to, and then gave another parting wave to Amphi as she moved off to speak to her. “Alright, I look forward to it!”

The reaper’s grin widened as Professor Savage greeted her in return. Though for a brief moment, her expression couldn’t help but falter. Helena?

…

Close enough.

She’d let it slide because in her books, Professor Savage was just that awesome. “You too as well, Professor! I uh…did not know professors took classes as well…” She replied, glancing around at the other professors as well. Curious indeed.

It had been some time since Professor Mikael Walker had been on campus at Amityville. But business in the scarefari zone waned towards a usual post-tourist lull this time of year, the warm, exotic locales once again frequented by only monsters and their trappers, he found himself back at the academy.

And to his surprise, one of their own had given an open invitation to not only students, but teachers as well. Minipet training. It piqued the enigmatic dragon's interest.

Mikael joined the class carrying a small, adolescent treasure treat, who's confidence might benefit from some formal instruction and training, unlike his grown specimen. That one was just a natural-born ruffian.

Striding into the classroom, the dragon nodded agreeably to the other teachers, and selected a seat right in the center of the room. The little treat was set down on the desk to blink it's beady eyes, and flutter it's underdeveloped wings.

When Jove arrived at minipet class, it was nervously. He was tempted to just skip all his classes altogether, but for some reason, he couldn't just hide away in his room and try and block out the world. So he continued almost like the most wooden of undead, shambling around outside at night, only giving half his attention to routine tasks during the day.

The foxfire he clutched tightly seemed to sense this fragile state, and alternated it's usual wiggling with attempts to lick Jove's face and fingers. All his foxfires had been like that, swarming their favourite little friend the moment they sensed his nervous uncertainty.

But there was only so much a little foxfire could do. Fruitloup paused as Jove entered the room, and with a delighted tail wag it squirmed free and wiggle-danced it's way straight to Ren, who it recognized from the gryphon's frequent visits.
