Gwy smiled, and nodded. "Hey, I know how that goes. No worries. I'll be around, so you can probably find me if you ever feel the need to talk." He leaned back for a moment, nodding again. "I know how much better it can feel, sometimes, just getting crap off your chest."
Watching Aloysius, Gwy had to not laugh, enjoying the excitement of the other man. "Welcome to our family's little shop. Let's get you a selection." He wandered up to the counters, and spoke to his mother, pointing at things for her to box up, glancing over at Aloysius every so often to enjoy the expressions.

Al nodded. "I'll keep that in mind," he said, reaching up to nervously ruffle his own hair and briefly thanking Chaos his mother and father were unusual, hornless demons so he didn't stick out like a sore thumb.
Of course, he was fully distracted by all of the amazing edibles surrounding him. He flitted from counter to counter, looking like...well, a child in a bakery.

Gwy had to suppress the urge to laugh his a** off, to be honest. Al just was so adorable, the way he was all eager over the baked goods. After a moment, Gwy leaned in and pointed at one last one to his mother, and then nodded, looking over the boxed treats. "There... I think that should be an excellent start to getting your sweet tooth on, my friend." He beamed and gestured at the now closed box, tied with the customary red string.
"If you want, I can take you to my favorite park... There's a nice quiet spot, you can enjoy the goods, and... ya know... talk if you want or whatever. Just chill if you want. It's all good."

Al gave Gwy a shy smile as he took the box. He'd have to be sure to eat at least some on his way back, lest Mother ask where it came from. "Thank you so much," he said. It was strange, to be in the receiving end of such kindness.
"A...park? That sounds lovely." He said, oddly enthusiastic.

Gwy grinned at his new friend. Man this guy was adorable, all shy and nervous about a bakery, and the sweets! He couldn't help but wonder where his new friend was from, but dismissed that as unimportant, since Al was such a nice guy. Where people were from only mattered when it was dangerous, right? Clearly Al was from a good place.
"All right, it's this way... Later mom!" He headed back out the door and farther down the street, grinning at Al in an inviting, 'come on, it's great!' kind of way.

Aloysius gave a polite wave to Gwy's mother, hoping to leave her with a good impression. Then maybe he wouldn't get run out of town if his true race was found out. Right? Right.
He followed Gwylan, taking in the sights of the part of town he hadn't been to yet. He caught a few suspicious glances for the cloak, but apparently he could pull off quite the disarming smile, because no one pressed the issue. "What's this park like?" He knew what they were, vaguely, but had never been to one. Mother had uses for gardens, but not "parks."

Gwy looked amused at the polite wave, since he'd never seen his mother have any problems with anyone. He was sure it MUST have happened sometime, but he'd never seen it!
"Mmm? Well I mean... it's like most parks, I guess... It's got lots of green spaces, trees, some lovely little tucked away groves... And ours has a nice... well it's too big for a pond, too small for a lake... I'm never sure what to call it... But a nice body of water, with a few Fae Made grottos around it. I was planning on taking you to one of those. It's got lovely willow trees draped around it, and it's nice and cool inside the grotto itself. It's got carved stone benches, some bas relief style pieces carved half out of the walls... And a lovely view of the water. You know... fake wild, and maybe true wild in a few places..."

Aloysius nodded slowly, a mental picture forming in his mind. He would be back here, if only to see this park again. "It sounds lovely," he said. A place to sit quietly and just enjoy a little nature? He was no tree-hugger, but he could certainly see the value in such a place. "And very relaxing, for certain."

Gwylan led his way to the little grotto, and found a nice spot to set up the box of goodies, then settled back, enjoying the nice coolness of the grotto. "It is so nice to come and relax here... I escape town in here, even if it's in the middle of it... It's so quiet it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, on your own, or with the company you bring... and no one else."

Aloysius took a deep breath, and a smile appeared on the demon's face. Yes, this was somewhere he would return to even without Gwylan. Peaceful, beautiful. So far from the darkness he was used to. "Yes, it really does," he agreed. "What an amazing place. You're quite lucky to have found it."

"Well it helps I was raised here in town. After living in a town most of your life, you get to know it decently well. It's not a huge town, after all!" He gave Al a smile, and tilted his head. "What was it like, where you grew up?" He was totally innocent in his question, that much was clear.

Aloysius nodded. "Hah, I suppose that's true." He knew his mother knew her home inside and out, and he had learned plenty of it himself.
A dark shadow crossed his face when Gwylan asked about where he grew up. "...It was lonely. Isolated. Just my mother, my sister, me, and the house staff." He said. All true. No need to say it was on Hemlock.

Gwylan's face grew anxious, seeing that. Oh dear, maybe things weren't the best at home? Or maybe he'd lost people or something. He shouldn't have brought it up, he should have let Al mention it if he wanted to! "Oh I'm sorry, Al! I didn't mean to ask something that obviously makes you unhappy." He reached over and rested his hand gently on Al's. "I really didn't. I never would want to upset you, you're a really nice person. I want to get to know you, be friends... Not upset you."

Aloysius sighed quietly. "It's complicated. Don't worry too much, you couldn't have known." The demon said, looking over at Gwylan. Damn it, of course his troubles upset the other male. Gwy was far too sweet. "Really. Not your fault." He insisted. "Tell me a bit about your family; they seem lovely. Any siblings?"

Gwylan looked very relieved at the other man's calm forgiveness. He hated hurting other people, and his new friend was no exception. "All right... Um. Yeah, I have a twin brother. Mom has a twin sister, and then 2 younger sibs, both brothers. I don't think I have any cousins, as yet... Mom's sister and one of her brothers really kinda vanished, so I don't actually know for sure if any of them have kids. But mom is the first one I KNOW of to have kids. Me and my brother, that's it so far. Mother... doesn't have any family I know. Grandpa is around plenty, he has a sweet tooth so he comes by the shop often enough." He pauses, looking thoughtful. "As does my uncle, though less for the sweet tooth and more for getting gifts for his wife. He likes to bring HER sweets."
