Tina looked wide eyed at the female, saddened that she had no parents. Hearing about the water fae, Tina grew curious. It was obvious the fae had met several people. Tina couldn't say the same for herself, she had only met one male, though he had been gorgeous. Tina wanted to know where he had gone, for he had disappeared before she really got a chance to know him. Ears drooping a bit, Tina sat next to Brigid in the warm sun. "Friends are nice. Would you happen to be hungry? I have some food in my bag if you are." Tina offered, her black fur slick with water. She ran her hand through her hair, moving it away from her face and partially ringing it out while she waited.
OOC. Writer's block, sorry.

(( lol writers blocks are fun aren't they?))
Brigid chuckled lightly. "Food does sound rather nice.. I'ma wee bit hungry... Forgot to eat my breakfast in my hurry to get to the tree..." She beamed some wondering what kind of food this fae had. "What is there to eat in the bag? Stew? No... couldn't be.. to hard to pack around a kettle.... " She trailed off pondering loudly to herself. She had the urge to peek inside the bag and see what manner of things the other fae kept in it but decided against it. "If ye like.. Might could find some nice herbs to go with your food..."

Tina Trista laughed slightly hearing the other faes musings. Never had she meet someone so odd in her travels. "Sorry, no stew in my bag. Most of what I carry is traveler's fare: breads, cheeses, simple things to make and eat. After all, I normally stop by a village or something for a meal and a place to sleep at the end of the day." Tina smiled at the red-head. Raising her arms high above her head, she stretched and then stood. Padding over to the bag, Tina pulled her armbands up and then riffled through it. The food she had picked up at the market on the way out was wrapped in a small clothe and tied off with a bit of string. Unwrapping the small bundle, she revealed a hunk of bread, some sausage, a bit of cheese, and two apples. One last grab into the bag and she had a canteen of water to wash it down with.
Smiling, she walked back over to Brigid and sat down, careful not to drop the food. Spreading the clothe out as a makeshift table, Tina gestured for her to grab some as she broke the break in two and then did the same with the sausage and cheese. Grabbing part for herself, Tina happily bit into the food. It was plain, but flavorful. "The marketplace I visited right before heading out provided me with some tasty treats. If you want, you can get some herbs to add to your food. I'm happy with this," she said around a mouthful of bread and cheese.

Eying the bread and cheese, she sniffed the bread, it smelled home made and wonderful, the kind of smell she'd remember her mother some times making. Nibbling at the bread, she enjoyed the flavor before biting into the cheese, forgetting the herbs she'd thought to get. Swallowing her mouthful, she stared at the meat and looked at Tina, handing it back to her. it wasn't that she didn't eat mat.. just she felt bad about this being all the fae had brought with her and now she was giving her half of it. She tore off a bit more of the bread and cheese enough to fill the hunger in her stomach but yet still enough to give back to the other fae so she would have a snack or lunch for later. Eating the bits she'd torn off, she handed the rest back to Tina. "Many thanks for sharing your food.. Feel a bit bad I didn't have anything else to offer.. unless...." She trailed off some. Weren't there some bushes bearing fruit near by her new home? She'd thought she'd seen some. "Perhaps some berries? If I can find them that is."

Tina happily munched on her bread and cheese, looking around at the lake. It was quite beautiful, with clear sparkling water and tons of lush underbrush all around. Tina would most certainly be coming back to explore more of the area. Turning her attention to Brigid, Tina's ears drooped down when she realized the other fae hadn't really eaten much. She took the food she gave back and wrapped it back in the clothe while finishing what she had. Carefully returning the leftovers, Tina responded to Brigid. "No problem, I'll probably return to the village later on and stock back up for the night." Tina's ears perked up at the mention of berries, one of her favorite things to eat.
"I love berries! If you like, we could go search for them together, that way we're more likely to find some." Tina grinned, her tail happily swishing behind her. Quickly hefting her backpack onto her shoulders, she stood up and held out her hand to help Brigid up. Her purple eyes sparkled at the thought of berries, something she could eat and eat and eat. Even ones that were toxic to other fae she could happily munch on, her immunity to toxic things quite useful when it came to foods. She would have to be careful if she offered any to Brigid though, she wouldn't want to hurt her.

She took the offered hand and stood up before giving a quick glance around. "Think I saw some bushes bearing fruit near my mound..." She tapped her bottom lip in thought at this. Nodding she decided it'd be the best place to look first. "Dunno if they be edible though..." She started off towards the home Sparkle had helped her to find. "This was though! We check by my home first then go from there."
She bounded ahead of Tina, her tiny wings giving a small flutter as she skipped off, heading to the trees. She was taking the same path Sparkle had shown her as it was so far the only path she knew of to get into the little hidden meadow of grass and flowers.

Tina glanced about as well, mouth watering from all the thoughts of berries. Seeing none, she turned back towards Brigid. "Don't worry, I can eat things that would normally poison other fae. My mother used to say I had a bit of a toxic kiss," Tina smiled and her ears perked up a bit. She quickly followed the small fae skipping ahead of her, laughing merrily at the sight. Brigid looked much like a little kid in that instance, it sent a twang of sympathy straight to her heart for her to have been left on her own for so long.
On a brighter note, Tina decided she could help the fae. First, she would teach her how to swim so she could enjoy the beautiful lake. That would give them something to do whenever Tina visited. She would also be friends with the female, and come to visit when she was exploring around the area. Lastly, she would be certain to help Brigid learn about the world, or as much of it as Tina knew. It would be fun to teach her. Tina began to skip as well, tail happily flicking back and forth as she caught up to Brigid.

"I see. Well either way t'would do some good to have the berries none the less." She beamed as the other caught up to her. It wasn't long before she pulled aside a curtain of vines and skittered behind them, motioning for Tina to follow her as she headed towards the hidden garden. "Tis me new home." She stated with pride as she pointed in the direction of a grassy mound that t first glance looked to be nothing more than a small hill. "Think I saw some berry bushes over there though." She pointed away from the mound and started off the direction she'd pointed.

Nodding, Tina walked along with Brigid for a little while. Before long Brigid reached forward and pulled aside a curtain of vines to reveal a grassy meadow with centered around a small green mound with plenty of bushes around. Sparing a small glance for the hill Brigid deemed her 'home' Tina nodded and walked over towards some of the bushes in the direction Brigid had pointed to. She began to gently push aside leaves and things to look for the succulent berries that would be just finishing ripening. They would be large and juicy, excellent for the perfect weather.
After searching through three or four large bushes, Tina finally found a berry-bearing bush. With a triumphant shout, she plucked a berry off and popped it in her mouth. The juices exploded in her mouth, coating her tongue and making her sigh in pleasure. She loved berries. "I found some!" she declared after eating a few. Gesturing to the bush in front of her, she glanced back at the other fae, wondering if she had found any as well.

She'd had to rifle through a few bushed before finally finding a few herself. These however didn't look like the berries she was use to nibbling on. They were round and red. Plucking a few off the branch, she scuttled over to Tina and the bush she stood by. Holding out the red berries in her hand she canted her head to the side some. "These any good to eat? Ne're seen them before.."
Eying the berried in the bush Tina had found, she recognized them as edible. Sweet if a bit tart but delicious. With her free hand, she reached out and plucked a few berries from a branch in the bush and popped them into her mouth as she waited for the analysis of the new red berries in her extended hand.

Tina moved aside so Brigid could get some of the delicious berries. Tilting her head to the side, she grabbed the bright red berries out of her hand and examined them. They looked edible, but Tina hadn't seen their like before. Giving them a good sniff, she decided to try them. Popping two in her mouth, she munched on them. Within seconds, the bitter juice coated her tongue. Tina made a face but swallowed the remains. "They're not toxic, but they don't taste very good. They're quite bitter," she explained, plucking a few more of the sweet blue berries she had found off and eating them to rid her mouth of the taste.

"Well that's good to know.. Maybe they're not really ripe then... " She peered back over her shoulder at the bush she'd found them from. "I think I'll stick to the sweet ones though." She reached into the bush and plucked a few more berries from the bush. "We could pick some and head into my mound.. That way we could eat them without worry of intrusion if you like."

Tina nodded and plucked a few more of the succulent fruit from the bush, moving over to make room for Brigid to get some. Popping a few more in her mouth, she chewed them thoughtfully. "That would be a good idea, but I wouldn't want to eat all of them, which is what would surely happen if you left me alone with a basket full of delicious berries," she exclaimed with a sheepish chuckle. Reluctantly she resisted reaching for more berries, leaving them for Brigid. She didn't want to eat all of them, especially since she would likely leave within the next few days.
Brushing her paws off on her fur, she turned to the female and looked at her. "I would like to see your home though. Perhaps I could come back and visit you later?" she asked politely. "Then I could teach you to swim and we can go berry picking together again!"

Nodding she chuckled lightly. "Alright.. then How about we let the berries ripen some more on the vine and sit in the sun a while? I'm sure the meadow will be nice and fragrant with the flowers." She giggled lightly bounding off towards the middle of the meadow.
"My home? Sure.. You're welcome any time. It's not really much at the moment though... I haven't gotten much in there so it's mostly bare floor..." She chuckled lightly plopping her fanny down in the grass.

Tail swaying back and forth, Tina nodded and followed after the female. "This meadow is really nice. How did you find it?" she asked. "I'd love to live somewhere like this." Tina plopped down next to Brigid and took a deep breath of the air. "You could probably get some stuff for your house down at the village. They're really nice." Tina leaned back, stretching and enjoying the warm sun on her fur.
