It looked like the boil wasn't done at all, despite appearances. West made a mental note: kicks and guns. They were both really annoying. He grunted and brought a fist down as hard as he could into Yin's knee as the boil's foot slammed into his side.

Not his knee again. Yin hissed in pain, retaliating with a quick swipe of his claws at the other boil before stumbling backwards. His Fear shield barely held, flickering really, but he was still there. He could still fight. He was not going to back down.

With a slightly pained grunt, West barreled forward, throwing himself into Yin in a last-ditch effort to get the boil to give up. He bent his arm back and slammed his elbow into the closest portion of the mantis' body, stumbling back with a huff and a muffled curse once he had struck.

West's momentum caught him off balance, and the elbow to his rib cage resulted in a snap, pain shooting through his chest. He was still conscious though, at least until he hit the floor and his head smacked back, gaining himself a nice goose egg on the back of his skull and sending him out like a light.

But if anyone tried to get him to the nurse he was liable to wake up upon being moved, and insist that he was okay so long as he got to rest for a moment.

It happened very fast, too fast to truly enjoy his victory. West did little more than make sure the kid wasn't bleeding excessively before he sighed irritably and huffed away.
