"It.. does take a bit of practice," Shun murmured lowly after hearing the girl speak. There was just enough of the ingredients for one more batch. He hadn't even managed to make anything yet. Letting out a breath, he took his time to mix up the ingredients.

The Reaper was being careful with it, not wanting to ruin his last chance at making the stuff. With time, the mixture turned purple just as with his first batch and it turned out to have a similar consistency as well.

And so now it was time to break it up into three sections. Shun made the attempt, but they weren't in equal parts. Why did this have to be so much harder than it should have been?

Furrowing his brow, he shook his head and tried once more.

The Reaper let out a breath, then focused carefully on making the candies into equal sections. This time around, he managed to do it properly. And so, Shun had three pieces of 'counter' candy at his disposal. He still didn't know what the hell they did. But he'd find out in time he supposed.

Oh wait there was some left over. Shun fixed that. It didn't turn out right.

Malcolm wasn't sure they actually knew what they were doing, but at least they made at least one 'counter' Fear Candy each, which should be helpful in the next task... Clearing his throat, he asked the two students to gather in front of a door at the back with the Fear Candy they made.

"This door is actually a portal to my personal Minipet Sanctuary," He explained, entering a few numbers to a control panel at the side before opening the door to reveal... Nothing but darkness. Walking in, he gestured for the students to follow, and they ended up in the middle of a square piece of land divided equally into four areas - grassland, lake, volcano, and a mountainous region.

"Look at that," He directed their attention to a happy looking, oversized Creeping Shrubbery not-so-minipet, "What I need you to do, is to battle it, and feed it as many of those Fear Candies as possible, when you see a chance to do so. Just toss it in its mouth, it should swallow from instinct."

He also produced two black rubber boots, "You might also want to wear these, to protect your shoes from... Undesirables. Remember, you only need to attack it until it falls!"

Exam Mechanics:
Creeping Shrubbery HP: 100
Auto Damage: 5

-> Auto damage applies to successful attacks, misses, learned abilities, as well as FEAR attacks!
-> You may only use ONE FEAR ATTACK + ONE LEARNED ABILITY this battle!
-> Your student CANNOT go under 0HP; that is the minimum amount of HP they need to have.

-> By the end of all your turns, the Creeping Shrubbery should have 10 or less HP in order to pass!
-> The Creeping Shrubbery CANNOT go beyond 0HP; that is an immediate fail as the not-so-minipet will die instead of passing out!

How the Fear Candy works:
-> Every time you land a HIT, you may choose to toss the Fear Candy into the Creeping Shrubbery's mouth. If you do, the not-so-minipet will shrink, and take an extra 5 damage!
-> You can only do this if you have Fear Candy on you! So Shun has 1 and Mei has 2!

Shun just sort of stared at the oversized shrubbery before letting out a sigh. A fight was a fight. Now wasn't the time to be underestimating anything really. He glanced briefly at Mei, then went ahead and summoned his daggers. Once they were in hand, he let out a slow breath, preparing himself.

He then bolted to the side, boosting himself with the skill learned from the thunder road course.

Shun came on around from the side, aiming to see if he could somehow flank the giant bush. Did it have a backside he could strike? He would find out. Though, as he moved on about, it didn't really look like there was anywhere that posed to be an exposed area. Furrowing his brow, he started to move in to attack. However, the bush just smacked him back before he could make any sort of contact.

He was going to have to be careful with this one.

Landing back onto the ground after getting hit, Shun closed his eye for the moment. Focus. They were going to need to cut this thing down if they wanted to pass. Opening his eye again, he narrowed in on the giant plant before rushing once more. It was hard to find a good opening. Moving in closer, he managed to cut away at some of its branches before being knocked back once again. This thing had quite a kick to it as well.

Each time he managed to get close, it struck him, and not all too lightly either for that matter.

Shun kept his distance for a little while now, slowly moving around the shrubbery. How the hell did this thing get so big in the first place? It had him wondering exactly what Malcom was doing that caused it to grow. Something like this could potentially be useful in other circumstances. But right now? It was more of a pain than anything else.

Once he felt he was ready to strike again, he rushed in, managing to sink the blades of his daggers past the leaves and into the main body of the bush. The reaper had just been about to try and damage it further, but the giant minipet tossed him away before he could do just that.

Right now, Shun could feel himself slowing down. Not only in terms of stamina, but in actual speed. He wasn't going to be able to keep this up for much longer. And so he decided now was a good time to strike hard and fast before he was forced to slow himself. He hadn't attempted using his fear ever since he had lost his eye, but he had been training in general.

Taking in a deep breath, he focused on the creature, trying to judge his distance and the area around the giant shrubbery. Narrowing his eye, he moved forth before jumping. While he was in the air, he disappeared into a puff of black shadowy smoke.

He first appeared 'behind' the bush, striking it once before poofing once more. Shun next showed up to its side to land another strike, then to the opposite to stab once more. This repeated several times before he appeared before it, hurling the fear candy into the bush and vanishing once more. He finally landed several feet away from the giant shrub breathing a little heavily from exertion.

Slowly, it was getting weakened. Shun let out another breath, letting himself recover while Mei went in to attack the creature. After her last move, he moved on in as well.

Unfortunately, the beast was onto him and struck him before he could get close. The Reaper was going to need to find another way around it for now.
