You are amazing.
You kind of remind me a girl I knew named Angie
who had some of the same problems, though
I don't think she was homosexual, her mother
and religion wouldn't allow it even if she were.
She was one of THE sweetest people I have
ever known.

Rock on girl, the whole world isn't mean, just
the unimportant people wink

Probably not. I have a feeling that you would
have to work REALLY hard to do so.

It's mainly those who slander/prejudice against
others, whether it be race, religion, sexual orientation,
gender, living conditions, and so on, those are triggers
for me.

Otherwise, I have an extremely slow temper and
just like to mess with people wink

I have a really quick temper, but very very few triggers. Racism and religion, and anything having to do with sexual orientation or disabilities.

Gotcha.
I grew up in a family who was split in
half, half of us with slow tempers, but
when we explode it's like an atom bomb
and you better run, and those with quick
tempers who just don't seem as dangerous
when mad xd

I have to admit however, my mother and
brother know how to make me mad quickly sweatdrop

We have that in common. My brother tries, but he is really still very immature and with no real excuse. And my mom is a little self-involved. She has good reason, but it gets annoying at times.

Labels are just words. They give no meaning to who you actually are.
I've been called tomboy, butch, lesbo, and more. but they don't really bother me. the benefits of being in the closet to everyone but your best friends, i suppose.

I also hate labels. I am a straight woman, but most certainly an LGBT ally, and when I hear people refer to my lesbian friends, or even strangers, as 'butch' or 'the man in the relationship' it's like nails on a chalkboard to me. The same goes for when people label a gay man the 'woman' of the relationship. I hear older people say that all the time, and it sounds so ignorant.

I've been referred to as a lesbian in school, mostly from guys that were in my P.E. class. They decided I must be a 'butch' because I was better at sports than they were. Unfortunately for them, I am not afraid of my sexuality, nor am I insulted by being referred to as a lesbian. I'm simply not a lesbian, but if I was, so what? That's what people need to learn. Calling someone 'gay' or 'butch' or anything else related to their sexuality should NOT be an insult. I'm more insulted that they thought it was an insult than anything else. Does that make sense?

I agree that labeling is a little annoying but I think it's mainly knowing that I am higher than what they say or call me so I don't really get too upset by it or try my best to let it get to me. The first time someone labeled me I didn't take it well.
I don't agree with a few labels because people tend to call me "dy*e" but that's mainly because I'm not female and that I'm a pansexual, the one I really don't like though is "virgin" mainly because I don't see how someone's genitals can change a status of a person. I like to think it more as a sexual debut. smile
Does your mom know that that really means in terms of the LGBT terminology? You may want to talk to her about that and how much it upsets you. I'm sure once she fully understands that she will be able to correct herself next time.
Until then try and correct her and hopefully she will over time start using/not-using labels.

howdy, I'm just as sensitive, given that I was obese growing up. Learning to just walk away though my temper is quick.

not really sure how this applies to me,
but i'll respond just in case you think it's relevant.

i am ftm. so i guess i'm either labeled that or trans (/transsexual) but sometimes people assume that means i'm just a super boyish lesbian, but that's not at all the case.
i'm not even 100% straight, i mean, i believe love comes regardless of gender/sexuality.
but yeah. i don't know that i really understand what exactly is the question here.
obviously labels are crap.
sorry if this is a pointless post.
