I actually finished mine the other night. The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. I fell in love with it. I'm so glad I bought it. I just love Halocaust books.
The cover said "life changing". I can understand why it would be, but..didn't change mine. Cried a lot though. Really sweet story.
And it was so well written!! You must read it! heart heart
Next up: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes-- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle blaugh

"The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Rober Louis Stevenson. it's actually surprisingly short, i got the copy from the Barnes and Nobel Classics section and over half the book is other short stories the author did so it's really a very quick read. only 78 pages in this copy but still very good!
K. I was worried that it would be long.

My copy is a second-hand one I found at my local bookstore! It has these beautiful patterns inside the covers. emotion_kirakira
I'm pretty sure I read that he interviewed a retired geisha for background information to help with the novel, so it's based on real facts (except for the mizuage ceremony), but the characters themselves are purely fictional.

I thought it was something like that. Haven't read it in a while. I forgot a lot of it.

Me too. But I do remember that I loved Nobu and that it was cruel what she did to him.

I was reading 50 shades of grey
BAD DECISION.
Why? What's wrong wih it?

From what I've heard, it's pretty much a porno
Twilight fanfiction, though

Well, that and it clearly made a huge impact on you. I've only read it once.
I've read Little Women 4 to 6 times, and I can recall a lot about that one.

I recently read Misery by Stephen King, and I enjoyed it very much. Psychological horror thriller action ♪ The plot caught me by surprise several times, and the way he incorporated another story within the story was masterfully done. I found the antagonist Annie to be thoroughly despicable yet compelling. I feel no pity for the way she met her end, though - the metaphor used to describe her moments before death is the most powerful one I have ever read (so far).

Reading Aliens Book 2: Nightmare Asylum by Steve Perry
I already read it before and liked it a lot. It's sf about murderous aliens so it's not for everyone. wink
