Name: Badgey
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Found: 7/22/07
Breed: Cosplay Usdia -- Harry Potter Hufflepuff
Temper: Mischievous
Personality: A misunderstood Usdia, Badgey always wants to be the center of attention. He is mischievous in that he likes to play small pranks on others. He's harmless, though. He loves to laugh with and at others, which can make him seem really rude. He just doesn't know his boundaries sometimes. Badgey loves to be able to spend time studying the stars and their movements, taking note as to how far each moves every night (at least he tries to every night). He dislikes being told what to do as he tends to be a rebel, but he'll still respect someone who he deems worthy of having his respect.
All in all, he's a gentle soul with a kind heart. He just has a hard time showing his gentle side.
History: It had begun in the early afternoon, just like it usually did. Badgey was out playing with other Usdia when they would come and ruin the fun. He'd be laughing and enjoying his time when the large Soquili came and towered over them. They'd mock and laugh and stamp their hooves at them, making fun of how short they were and how they'd never accomplish much of anything because of their size. He and his friends would just take it day in and day out because they were unsure of what to do. They didn't understand why they were being picked on just for being different.
One night as Badgey was attempting to sleep, his mind wouldn't stop thinking about the Soquili that came and constantly bugged them. He stared at the stars and began to wonder what it would be like just to be a little bit taller just so he could be that much closer to them. He was always so fascinated with the stars that he found peace in just watching them twinkle in and out.
That's when a shooting star crossed the sky and Badgey closed his eyes. He thought of all those Soquili that picked on him and his friends and how none of them had the guts to stand up for themselves. But that was all going to change.
The next day, the same thing happened. Badgey was hanging out with his friends when the Soquili appeared. They started their usual badgering of how small they were when Badgey puffed out his chest and yelled, "LEAVE US ALONE!"
The Soquili stared at him in shock for a few seconds before laughing. But Badgey wasn't kidding. He turned and bucked at the other colts, just missing the head of the one making fun of them. The colt huffed and charged at Badgey, but he kicked once more, hitting the colt square in the jaw. He shook his head in disbelief and pain.
The Soquili scoffed and cantered off after that, a threatening glare crossing their faces, but none of them bothered Badgey or his friends much after that.
As Badgey continued to grow he started to become more mischievous, playing pranks on his friends and even the Soquili who used to pick on him. He'd laugh with others when they'd make fun of him, or he'd pretend to cry and be hurt before bucking or rearing at them. He was a little punk, really.
When Badgey received his scarf, he was extremely happy. A young Kawani Native named Kiiniku wrapped it around his neck, smiled at him, and in her language called him "handsome." He didn't know what she was saying but he could tell by the gentle look on her face that she was being kind. It was one of the first true acts of kindness he had received in a long time. And he cherishes that in his heart always.
