Ayra sat with her pet shirshu, Aki, petting her head softly. She sat in a fire nation mansion, awaiting to hear from her new fire bending teacher.

Reiko watches Ayra from where she was still hidden by the doorway. After a few moments, she sighs and walks out to sit across from the girl. "So you're the one who's supposed to be the Avatar?", she asks, her face a perfect mask of lazy indifference.

“For the rest of us, it is a very great pleasure.”

Ayra nodded slightly, looking down at her lap where her hands were folded, "Yes." She aid softly.

“Playing with fire is bad for those who burn themselves.”

"Well you certainly don't act like it.", Reiko sighs again, though she was taking advantage of the fact that she wasn't being looked at to get a good look at the girl. "Where's your backbone, girly?", she asks after a moment.

“For the rest of us, it is a very great pleasure.”

Ayra glanced up at the girl, "I have plenty of backbone.." The girl said softly.

“Playing with fire is bad for those who burn themselves.”

"Funny,", Reiko responds, "I must be losing the other half of my sight then. All I can see is a quiet, little girl who doesn't look like she can hurt a fly." She continues to observe the girl, waiting to see what kind of reactions to expect.

The small girl fiddled with her tunic, "I can so hurt a fly... I'm a super powerful bender.." Arya said with little conviction.

Koi's armed moved around like snakes, a wisp of water was dancing in front of him, following his every movement. In his head voices were screaming at him, telling him to leave and never return. He lowered his hands, letting the water return to the pond.

"You are in serious need of backbone.", Reiko sighs, her lazy mask gone. "Can you please look at me? I feel like I'm kicking a puppy..."

"I'm not a puppy.." She said in a more powerful voice, not much, but it was better than nothing. "I'm going on a walk, I don't like being inside, come on Aki. You my join if you want, I'm Ayra." The slender female stood up, her shirshu following her.

Reiko blinks, not having expected the girl to suddenly leave. She stands up and quickly moves to catch up. "Reiko."

Ayra was feeling a bit overwhelmed about all this, she didn't want to be that avatar, she didn't want to be the most powerful bender in the world. She didn't want any of this, she just wanted to be a normal earth bender. Too bad, right?

Reiko quietly walks with Ayra, allowing the girl to sort through whatever was going through her mind. If she wished to talk then she would.
