Focusing fire on Nuru left Zar open to pick and choose his targets. There was nothing of his emotions left but enough of his personality to know a priority when he saw one. First up was the immediate, Leon got another raking strike as the demon flared his wings and charged, flapping them forcefully with a billow of fog as he leapt backwards, nimble hooves barely touching the ground as he closed the distance to his other target.

The one with the messy green fire had to go.

Jerry got a demonic b***h slap for his troubles.

Nuru at least felt no pain as the attacks tore through him. All he felt now was a distant and persistant longing.

"HOME!" he cried out again with vicious conviction as he raked his claws across those who insisted on standing in the way.

Jerry had just pulled the trigger when the winged fog creature lashed out, sending him tumbling, and his shot ripped undirected through the creatures. If he could just get a few moments to AIM-

"I need... need to get some distance- I'm no good up close..." He wheezed, staggering away from the ghostly dog, dragging his weapon behind him. "You two distract them!"

"Diversion is my middle name!" leon yelled enthusiastically as he circled around the wolf monster tried to lead it away from the retreating hunter.

it really wasn't his middle name, but this wasn't the time to argue. jerry was better at a distance, and he knew close range combat was his bread and butter. As long as the sun hunter hit it and not him, it was all hunky dory.

The attacks that came at him and tore more of his clothing to pieces however, was not dory. "Bloody bastards!" he snarled out at the winged annoyance. he could feel the strength starting to fade, but still took a swing at the Dogbeast. "It would be a great time for you to get your s**t together Robert!"

"s**t? What s**t? I had s**t?" When did he ever have any s**t to get together? Was Leon thinking of someone else? Clearly.

All he had were his two fists, a ton of bandaids, and an assload of stupidity. Robert picked up Jezebel in both of his hands, shook his head, and went flying for Zar again.

"I just hope it bleeds red."

It didn't.

Even despite the distraction of the fog, Robert connected. The blow was enough to make Zar stagger as Jez struck, hooves scrabbling for purchase as he haemorrhaged dark fog from the spot where she hit. However, despite the force of the blow he wasn't immediately deterred from his original target, leaping with a hiss of anger for Jerry for another swipe, trailing disintegrating misty paper feathers as he did so.

But Robert had managed to get himself an escalated appointment with the managing director of his thoughts, so this small matter tended to he had his full attention.

The former demon turned and eyed the other man with an unfocused yellow stare. "Home." he stated, pointing a hooked black claw for just an instant before he leapt towards him, an unfocused apparition of claws and grinning razor sharp teeth.

The beast was easily convinced to draw its attention on the two hunters closer to it. Whispy hackles bristled with fury as it loosed a billowing howl and reared up to scratch the both of them.

Why were they so persistant in denying it the one thing that it craved so dearly?

Jerry turned, huffing as he planted himself and took aim. Deep breaths. The uneasy feeling was creeping back but that was easy to attribute to the two curling fog monsters currently ripping through them. He growled, his stomach twisting. There, as the winged creature slammed it's way through his teammates, he had his shot.

And he took it.

Roar burst forth with an echoing bark that ripped through the fog, directly into the winged beast to send paper-like feathers swirling.

The stinking mutt was still at it. Leon cursed loudly as the animal continued to try and play tug of war with his coat. "Dammit, just disperse in peace already." he roared and tried to bring down the chainsaw on its head.

and found nothing by the sharp tang of the floor it connected to, bits of earth coming up to slap him in the face.

The monster bled something, at least. As gratifying as it was, Robert gave the Zarfog a blank look when it pointed at him. He turned around, looked left and right, and then turned back to Zar.

"The ********? I ain't your home, monster. If you wanna go home, lay down and let me kill you. That'll sure send you home, all right.

But the Zarfog was definitely not laying down and giving up. Robert felt the attack rip through his shield, making him double over with the force of it. What's more, the other creature had his attention too, and now Robert was just a sitting duck.

A sitting duck with a pointy weapon.

Even as he straightened up, he wrenched Jezebel forward with him, burying her deep into Zar's dark, insubstantial body.

Roar's attack connected with unexpected force, sending Zar flying backwards, as he hit the ground there was no sound, simply in the instant seeming to fade back into the fog before with a swirl of movement it gathered back, reshaping right back into the slender dark figure upright. It was getting harder and harder to hold together, the disintegrating wings shedding their misty feathers more readily.

He leapt for Jerry again, but only the very tips of his claws reached the sun hunter's shield as once again Jez brutally connected with what little tangible presence he possessed. The sound he made could hardly be said to be words, raspy and furious, lashing out as best he could with the batleth still embedded in his side, before once again his body seemed to lose its ability to hold together, leaving him room only to fall back and recoup.

Home. So near but so frustratingly difficult to reach.

The fog beast insisted as it lunged forth to take on its nearest targets. Biting them again and again with a ruthless unyeilding hunger. There was no recognition to their words; they were lost on such a creature. One with just one single persistent thought keeping it going.

It was fairly strong leon had to admit. Strong little monster. it didn't want to give up as it hacked at the saw. relentless and ferocious. if it was a different time and place, he would try and take the thing back to the island with him. Call it Haymaker.

Instead he had to try and put it down. "Play DEAD!" he yelled as he slammed the blade in a arc, pushing the beast away.
