Timothy thought for a moment or two. It would probably be better, he thought, if they got together during the summer break. He hated the idea of waiting that long, but if he was going to start a relationship, it would probably be best if he could devote some time to it. Besides, he would still be able to help out with his sister, which to be honest, was starting to make him antsy. He hadn't heard from his parents yet that week, so he hoped that they were fine with her. "Well, how about over the summer? It would give us free time, and we wouldn't have to wory if someone needs to go to the hospital wing or something while on it. Sound good?"

Timothy looked down at a sheet of parchment before him. Merlin, he suddenly wished that Lukas would come with a drink right about now. All those years of suspecting something to happen, and now this... It was bad enough when he realized his sister was losing her grip on sanity, but to have it proven? Not only that, the people he would have grieved with, his parents, were no longer... He crushed the letter in his hand. He swallowed hard, tears threatening to break. He wasn't ready for this. He was so not ******** ready for this.
He steadied his shaking hands and straightened the letter back out. He wondered suddenly if his nephew would be ready to even hear about what happened. He hadn't seen Richard since he was two, and now he was the last person on his side of the family that the boy could talk to, at least safely. He was reaching for a mug on his desk when he heard a knock at the door. "Oh, um, c-come in!." He scrubbed at his face, trying to erase the tears on his face that had fallen already.

Rick nervously knocked at the door to the Wizard Law professor's office. He wasn't sure why he'd been called in here. As far as he knew, he hadn't done anything wrong, and he hadn't taken the class yet so there was no work he had to do. Frowning, he heard the professor inside tell him to come in and he opened the door. "Um, professor, you asked to see me?"

Rick sat down in the seat before the professor. He wasn't sure what the professor wanted to talk to him for, but decided to keep quiet. When the professor asked his question, Rick gave a bit of a shrug. "The question did cross my mind sir. Is this because of electives, because I still haven't made a determination about mine yet."

Rick blinked. His grandparents? He had never seen them, since they preferred to pretend like their son's family didn't exist. Why did Professor Steele think that he'd care? "Um, it's okay. I haven't seen them, and they don't talk to my father at all. Dad's family's kinda like that."

Rick's mind suddenly shut down. His uncle? What? That didn't make sense. Why didn't he say something at the beginning of the year? For that matter, why didn't he talk to him at all, even if it was to come over and see him over the years. Suddenly something like a chasm opened up in his chest. No way. Was it obligation that caused the professor to say something now? Because Steele thought he should know about the other side of his family? He suddenly found himself standing. He needed to get out of this room. It was suddenly feeling too closed in, too small. "E-excuse me, I need to get some air." Ignoring his uncle's pleas, he ran from the room.

Romy walked to the office, previously unsure of where it was. Lucky for him, he just had to follow Remy from the Common Room. When she stepped in, he followed silently, then laid his hand on her left shoulder, since he was unsure if she'd gotten her other one fixed. His glasses were still speckled with mud, but he didn't seem to mind. He'd been in the middle of cleaning them after his shower when he got called to come here. Oh well. He'd live until he could finish scrubbing them. Wearing
