Mizuki smiled at her little ones as they snuggled with her. "You're so cute. . ." she whispered to them. Glancing up at Jun, Mizuki grinned. "And so are you." Holding her little ones carefully, Mizuki wandered to the living room. She sat down on the couch and started to doze off. Jun followed Mizuki into the room and curled up in his bed.

A little later, Pixie and Espio were awake. Espio was watching out the window looking at the men from before sneak around in the bushes. She tilted her head and saw Ho-oh above the house. Pixie came to join her. Then she growled at the men and went outside barking at them to leave before Espio followed her sissy outside also growling at the men. Espio, being born an Espeon was really rare and worth a lot of money. Baby pokemon who were born in their evolved forms were unheard of though so they were worth millions.

Both of them then glared at the men seeing them trying to catch their friend, Ho-oh. Then Pixie shot an Ember attack at them and growled While Espio ran over to Ho-oh who landed on the house and climbed up beside him and started to coo at him trying to tell him to get out of here. She saw that the men had a net and were going to try to catch Ho-oh with it.

Mizuki yawned and felt for Pixie and Espio. Not feeling them, Mizuki quickly stood up and saw Pixie trying to fight Sam and Lance as Espio climbed out of view. She shook Jun awake and they bolted out of the door. Sam had already gotten a hold of Pixie and was using his Slowking's Water Pulse to knock her out. Once he had done that, Sam put Pixie in a bush. he glanced up and saw Ho-oh. His face went pale and he fainted. Lance was trying to climb after Espio, but Felix was using his Torchic to stall him. "Torchic! Use Peck!" Felix called. Torchic rushed over to Lance and Pecked him hard on the side of his head. Lance growled and shouted something to Felix. Lance grabbed a Pokeball and yelled, "Charizard! Inferno on the Torchic!" The orange Pokemon bellowed and flames burst out of it's mouth. Jun beollowed back and was suddenly in front of the Torchic with Mizuki on his back, glaring. Lance looked taken back as he saw Mizuki on Jun. "Charizard! Don't hit the girl!" he shouted. It was too late. Charizard couldn't stop his attack. Jun landed on the house and was ready to take the attack. "TORCHIC!!" Suddenly, the Torchic was in front of Jun and took the whole attack. Mizuki hopped down from Jun's back and hurried over as the Pokemon fell. She caught him and hurried over to Ho-oh. The huge bird was ready to fly. Mizuki looked up at him and nodded. She climbed onto his back and placed Torchic in the soft feathers. With tears streaming down her face, Mizuki picked Espio up and hurried off of Ho-oh's back. The Rainbow Pokemon nodded to Mizuki, Jun, and Espio before spreading his wings and taking off. Jun had a hold of Lance in his arms. Felix was hanging in the back as he watched the whole thing. There were tear stains on his face. Mizuki looked over at him, her eyes sad. Quickly, Mizuki hurried over to Pixie and picked her up in one arm. She took her in the house and gave her some Oran Berries as well as Espio. Then, taking her little ones outside, Mizuki made her way to Sam. She nodded to Jun and a silent conversion went through their glazes. Picking up Sam in one arm and Lance in the other, Jun walked over to Felix. The boy sighed and climbed into the huge Pokemon's back. Mizuki watched as Jun flew off into the distance. Mizuki glanced down at Pixie and Espio and hugged them. "It's all over now. . ." she whispered, walking into the house.

Pixie then went over to Mizuki and whimpered saying sorry as did Espio. They were only trying to help Ho-oh to safety. Espio put her ears back and they both looked at her sadly as if to say they were really sorry. They thought Mizuki would be mad at them for doing what they did.

Mizuki smiled at Espio and Pixie. "You guys are okay. It's Lance and Sam I'm mad at." she said. "Because of them, Ho-oh is now leaving with a dead Pokemon that tried to protect you, Espio." Mizuki let a tear fall. "But I'm super glad that you two are okay. . ." With that, Mizuki picked them up and held them tight. "I'm glad you told me about Ho-oh. . . but don't do that again. What if something happened?" Mizuki walked into their room. She put them done on their bed and petted them on their heads. "I bet you guys are hungry. Lemme make you some food." Mizuki said, closing the gate behind her. She made her way to the kitchen and sat down on a wooden chair. Mizuki didn't start on the little ones' food. Instead, she replayed the entire battle for Ho-oh. When she remembered the part with the Torchic, Mizuki cried. She wept as she went outside to scratch the name of the brave Pokemon in a rock. She placed the rock beside her door and bent down to also scratch 'A brave, little bird whose life ended too soon'. Mizuki stood up and wiped her tears away as she heard the sound of Jun's wings. Turning to face him, she could see that Jun was also quite sad. Together, they walked back into the house. Mizuki started on the little ones' food while Jun straightened up the house a bit.

After several months, Espio and Pixie were now old enough to eat solids and take care of themselves but they didn't want to leave Jun and Mizuki. Epsio was outside stalking bugs and Pixie was chewing on a treat bone that Mizuki gave to her. Espio was more of a cat than a pokemon. She loved to stalk things and everything that moved. But today was their birthday and they were very excited about turning a whole year old. Pixie was more independent than Espio. She preffered to lay by the fireplace and cuddle with a blanket. Espio on the other hand, she always wanted to snuggle with Mizuki. She was the cute one. Pixie was the protective one.

Mizuki sighed as she stepped back from her work. In front of her was a big banner that said "Happy Birthday Espio and Pixie!". She had had that made in a human town, but no one there had been really friendly. Mizuki smiled as she went into the kitchen and grabbed four plates. Espio had her favorite food, a Sitrus-Pecha (Sour-Sweet) Poffin, while Pixie had her favorite, a Rawst-Cheri (Bitter-Spicy) Poffin. Mizuki had made them extra big so that they wouldn't complain that they were still hungry. Mizuki had also made herself a Bluk (Sweet) Poffin and a Oran (Dry) Poffin for Jun. She placed them in their spots and stepped back to look at her work. Walking outside, she called, "Espio! Pixie! You can come in now!" Mizuki had made the two go outside as she worked on the house for their 'party.' It wasn't much, but the Vulpix and Espeon knew that Mizuki was very poor when it came to human things. To a Pokemon, she was was rich.

Jun had been sent to the closest town, which was extremely far and very hard to get to unless you flew there, to take, or steal, some Super and Hyper Potions. Mizuki knew she couldn't live without something man-made unless she wanted her Pokemon to suffer for a bit while she ran to grab some Oran or Sitrus berries. As Mizuki had called Espio and Pixie in, Jun had arrived back. He looked slightly shaken but still okay as he handed Mizuki ten Super Potions and twenty Hyper Potions. Mizuki grinned and rubbed Jun's head. "Thanks buddy. You can rest now." Jun nodded and walked inside the house to curl up in his bed to sleep. Mizuki glanced over at Espio and Pixie, whom were still playing. Mizuki giggled and called, "Come on guys! You're going to miss the party!"

Pixie and Espio came running when they heard the word party. Espio being an espeon had developed her psychic powers to where she now knew Psybeam. Pixie knwe Flame thrower now too. Both of their eyes glittered and Pixie wagged ehr tail when they saw the decorations. They both then jumped on Mizuki and jun and started to lick and nuzzle them both loving on them.

Mizuki giggled and held them close for a few minutes before sitting them on their spots. Mizuki sat in her own seat and smiled at Pixie and Espio. "Ready. . . Set. . . Eat!" Mizuki cried, plunging into her food. When she was half way done with her Poffin, Jun came over and gulped his down in a single bite. Mizuki watched him with a twinkle in her eye as he grumbled and went back to his bed.

Mizuki waited until everyone was done eating. She looked Pixie and Espio right in the eyes. "Okay. . . I know this will be a shock to you two but. . ." Mizuki said, glancing over at Jun before looking back her her little ones. "We've decided that it's time to let you guys experience the world by traveling with us." Mizuki paused to let the words sink in. "If you accept, we can become stronger together.

Pixie and Espio tilted their heads when they heard the word travel. Though they wanted to become stronger, they were not sure about it. But then they wagged their tails at the idea of getting stronger. They oth jumped on Mizuki after finishing their poffins and started to nuzzle and lick her face cutely. They were very excited to be able to go traveling with Jun and Mizuki.

Mizuki asked happily. "Jun and I were thinking about leaving in two days. What do you guys think?" Jun sighed and muttered something in Pokemon language.

Both of them couldn't wait to get started on the journey. They both ran into their room and drug out a bag for their stuff too excited to wait.

Walking to the front door, Mizuki glanced over at Jun. "Let's go to the town real quick. Pixie and Espio won't miss us." The Flygon nodded, stood, and followed Mizuki outside. She climbed onto his back and they flew off.

Pixie and Espio talked about it and decided to go in the morning. They were very excited. Then once they had the stuff they knew they needed, they put it in Mizuki's room and went into the living room and started to play wrestle all the while laughing as they rolled around. Pixie started it though. Then Espio got tired and went over to the couch and laid in the sunlight that was shining through the window.

Mizuki sighed and hopped off of Jun when they landed a few meters away from the town. She gave him a sad look and took out a Pokeball. The Flygon took one look at it and made a noise of disgust. "I'm sorry, Jun-kun. I just don't want something to happen like last time," she said. Jun glared then nodded and let the red light take him into the ball. Mizuki held onto the Pokeball and walked into the town. She wandered into the PokeMart. Looking around at the shelves, Mizuki calmly made her way to the back of the store. She took a few Hyper Potions, three Escape Ropes, ten each of Antidotes, Awakenings, Burn Heals, Ice Heals, and Paralyze Heals. She also got some Max, Super, and regular Repels. She went over to the man at the counter and paid for her things. Putting them in the bag, Mizuki came to the clearing that Jun had landed. Taking the Flygon's Pokeball out, Jun came out in a flash of red light. When he was out, Jun shook himself. He yawned and Mizuki climbed onto his back and they flew to their house.
Arriving, Mizuki slid off Jun's back and they made their way to the door. She opened it, scooted around the little ones, and walked to her room. Jun curled up in his bed, not wanting to waste his energy since he wasn't that young anymore. Mizuki saw Espio and Pixie's things on the floor and she smiled.She put everything they would need in a corner and walked back out to the living room. Mizuki sat on the couch and watched them play, a small smile on her face.
