((That's fine :3 Their names are so close huh, Jake and James :3))
Akalia continued to walk, although she had yet to come up with a name for herself. She had come a good distance and she was coming on the battlements for the angels. They were looking rather rough for the day. She gave herself a relieved sigh as she went around the battlement. She just hoped that they didn't spot her. She chuckled as she watched some walk by and some fly by.
As she continued on she had to stop once more because of another patrol group. The First Knight was probably inside coming up with battle plans. She hoped everything went well for the group. The kingdom, both of them, didn't need any more fighting. Sighing she stepped forwards and found herself sprawling for leverage as she bent her ankle and fell on her face. She felt fragile at that moment, but only because now her ankle hurt. She sighed hoping she hadn't been seen. Hopefully she hadn't yet...
She finally made her way past the line of sight of the angels and was soon standing on the battlefield... The battlefield that she had helped the warriors. They may have come to a draw, but she had lost. She had lost any remnants of wanting to stay of the angels. She had lost the one thing she meant to hold even after marriage... Her heart. She had fallen for the man she had come sword to sword with that battle. Neither had gotten an advantage over the other. But she had enjoyed that dance. She had once gotten the chance that she could have killed the handsome purple haired knight... But she had not and called for a retreat. She had watched him as she walked back. Unafraid, but afraid at the same time...
She smiled at the memory. She could see his handsome face. Wondering what he was doing at that moment. Wondering if he thought of her.

Robert frowned as he sat in the map room, adjacent to where the prince was standing as he witnessed the boy fail to remember – yet again – the most basic of facts about the war. Yes, royal highness, the angels had wings and could fly. He had trouble understanding just how the prince had managed to survive on the field when he seemed so absentminded when off of it. He supposed he would have to chalk it up to luck, but he kept such opinions to himself. Respecting the royal family was among the first of rules that knights were to be ingrained with and, whether everyone else liked it or not, the First Knight was an example that had to be followed. If he didn't respect the prince, then no one would. He leaned forward and adjusted the figurines on the map back in place after the prince had moved them, allowing an adviser to shoot down the prince's suggestion first before speaking up.
“Following the angels into the vale is what they want us to do. However, we may be able to put this at our advantage.” He separated a handful of the figurines and relocated them along the summit that made up the valley the angels were attempting to lead them into, “Archers may be stationed here to make up for the enemy's advantage in the air and keep them grounded so our troops may.. charge in and attack those who stay on the ground.” He paused thoughtfully and looked at the prince, “Your highness, the troops' valor may be heightened if you were to inquire on the status of those capable of handling a bow. If I may suggest you assess that before we continue in determining a plan of action.”
((I'll assume Robert can be in the map room too. 8D ))

((Hey Jake... Robert is with James... >.< It's fine I was just wanting to make sure you knew. So that no one feels left out. I'll post in a moment
And I would think that Robert would be allowed. First knights are supposed to be like the general just with a different name.))

((sorry about that. I started writing my post before he submitted his so it didn't show up on my screen. Then my internet was being stupid so I didn't get to see that he posted. and yes Robert can be in the map room.))
James listened intently to Robert's plan. It seemed simple and effective enough. It certainly was a lot better than his own plan. He had great respect for Robert's ability to make a battle plan and to account for the variables when making his plans, whether or not he was on the battlefield. "Well, it certainly seems a lot more solid than my blunder of a plan." He muttered as he tried to picture how it would work out. "Though if the angels plan to lead us into the vale wouldn't it make sense that they plan to have an ambush there?" He asked out of curiousity. He wasn't sure if Robert had planned for such an outcome or not. But it did seem like a very possible outcome.

“That is a possibility.” Robert conceded as he leaned back in his chair and folded his arms, “However, the angels are prideful in their wings. I have seen many of their soldiers use them unnecessarily to show off. The chances are higher that they would not bother with separate set of troops for an ambush when the troops within the valley can fly to the summit themselves to perform it.” It certainly fit into his view of the angels – much too grandiose over things a common duck sported. Ducks that humans regularly hunted for sport. But, he supposed he should give them a benefit of a doubt. Still. He waved a hand dismissively, “Regardless, if there is an ambush, they will not be expecting an attack on them. Our archers should be proficient enough in both archery and hand to hand combat to eliminate them.” If they weren't, then they shouldn't be in his army anyway.

((I wasn't meaning it as though I was being critical. Just being helpful, promise! biggrin ))
Still not having picked a new name, the princess started walking once more. It wasn't taking her long to get out of the Angel lands. Soon she would be crossing into what her father would have named as the human battle hold. Where the armies would be waiting and planning. She supposed as she wasn't completely sure. It could also not be.
She soon saw the human battlements. She smiled, maybe she would see the man, the human that had so wounded her...

((yay! I ish not in trouble...yet. Though tomorrow and possibly friday I may or may not be able to get on and post. I ish going to Knott's Berry Farm biggrin . Just thought you guys deserved a heads up.))
Jake considered Robert's words. He still didn't like having a backup plan, but he decided to leave it in Robert's hands. "Okay then. We'll fight them at the vale." He said still looking at the map. "Is there anything else to plan for, or should I go start checking the statuses on the archers?" He asked anxious to go start checking the readiness of his army. He really hoped that Robert was right about the archers being enough and that he wasn't overselling them.

Akalia had finally decided upon a name. Amelia, she had decided on Amelia. She had yet to figure out a last name, but she hoped she didn't have too. She stopped short of crossing the battlements of the human encampment, and grabbed her hair. Surely if they saw her short hair the man she had come so far would recognize her as the angel from the battle. She cursed herself silently for keeping her hair so short. She wondered if she could magically make it grow.... But that would take time. And she didn't have much time...

Robert steeled his expression, though he was growing slightly agitated with the prince. He couldn't allow that to leak into his voice, however, not like he would if he was dealing with one of the knights or soldiers – the boy was still his superior, even if he didn't exactly behave like it. Then again, Robert was used to that.
“There is always more to plan for. However, we can not be expected to proceed until the available troops have been assessed.” He didn't even know if they had any archers to spare, what with the majority of them being in high demand for the castle's walls. Though they had started to force about every soldier to hone their abilities with the bow or crossbow due to the enemy's unique characteristics, there were few who could be called experts just yet.
“We need to know who is capable of going into battle within the next few days, the status of our cavalry, and, of course, our archers' proficiency.” He stood up and glanced at the prince. He wasn't going to dare order the boy to gather the information or dismiss him; it wasn't really his place. Not that he didn't expect him to do so. He had already volunteered, hadn't he?

James couldn't help but sigh inwardly as he thought about the amount of planning he would have to partake in. He knew that it was an important thing to do during war time, but that didn't like it any more because of that. He took some lessons in military tactics, but quickly discovered that he lacked interest in planning things ahead on a map, and as a result never managed to develop those skills to a very high level. He attends these meetings mostly as a way to see how the kingdom troops are doing. Though he does hope that eventually he will pick something up from these meetings so that he can become better at strategizing(not sure if that's a word but I'm using it) and becoming more of an asset to his kingdom.
"Very well. I'll go check on the status of our troops." He said excited at the prospect of being out of the tent, even if for just a bit. "I'll be sure to come back with a full report of all who are fit for battle, as well as to the skill level of our available archers." James said, as he walked out of the tent without another word. He sometimes felt like he should be more respectful, and ask for permission before leaving such meetings. Afterall, without Robert and the others, this battle would quickly be lost.

Amelia continued closely to the encampment. She wondered if she would see the man first, or she would have to look for him. She sighed inwardly unsure of which to do when someone came up behind her.
"Excuse me miss. But what are you doing out here? It's a battle zone out here." The male voice said. She turned and it was a scout. He and his patrol had surrounded her. How could she have been so stupid? To be caught by the humans? She silently berated herself because she wasn't able to do it otherwise. They would have suspicions about her anyway. So she quickly came up with a lie. "Pardon me, for my folly sir. But I was just going to see if I could spy on the angel encampment, so as to be of some help.

Veo had taken the guise of a hooded traveler with only his guardian for company. He had been so excited to find and capture the angel princess that he had left in the dead of the night and traversed the human kingdom to get to the angel kingdom as though it were that simple. Well, if he got found out, he could simply overwhelm his foes. He was confident with his skills anyway. As he prepared to cross towards the angel kingdom, he found a scene in the distance -- a human encampment he had decided to avoid. There was a... Was that a lady? Surrounded by men no less. He figured that if he 'rescued' this one, she would probably be an easy lay so as to satisfy him before he had gotten the true angel princess for himself. "Eh, what the heck?", he said mostly to himself, looking back to his guardian with indifferent eyes before beginning to walk over.

"I'm sorry miss, but it's the Queen's orders that no one leave the kingdom right now. You must come along." The head of the patrol said. He seemed rather annoyed. She narrowed her eyes as one tried to grab her arm. She took ahold of his wrist. "Touch me again, and I will have your head served on a platter." She threatened. Even for an angel she was dark at times. She didn't like to be touched unless permitted. This human was not permitted.
The other guards saw the threat as that of insubordination and immediately put their weapons to her. She let go reluctantly, because it would be better not to cause a scene. She growled at herself silently, before standing. She didn't want to be touched. It was that simple...

Lucrecia had easilly conjured up comfortable robes and a hooded cloak to hide her own silvery hair and the obsidian form-fitting armor that so snugly wrapped around her features. She didn't take much time or effort to get dressed at all, as pretty much all her clothes/armor were pretty much created by her will and magic alone. Which, considering the nature of this (asinine) mission, helped quite a bit. But that isn't important.
She followed along closely behind the disguised prince, a bored look evident upon her face as she waited for Veo to do what he intended or to give her an order or something. That something, it turned out, was some human girl that happened to catch Veo's attention. Sometimes she had to seriously question his tastes. In her oppinion, the girl was pretty - but a bit too plain to even consider a one night stand with. (She, personally would have preffered a more confident girl. One that showed more skin, perhaps? Regardless, it wasn't her place to say. At least not now) But alas, whatever Veo wanted he got - and Lucrecia would be damned before she let it happen any way else. She followed him closely along, carefully listening for any indicator of a danger beyond the group that surrounded the girl.
