Personality Blurb: A little on the shy and quiet side, Alarion takes some time to warm up to new Soquili. At one time, she was very open to meeting new Soquili and warmed up quite fast to them. But after her captivity and the harsh realization that not everyone is good, Al has a hard time trusting others. She's still a sweet mare to her core, it just takes time for that side to push past the shyness. Thankfully, she's got a wonderful mate and family to help with this! Extra: Al can't stomach meat anymore. The mere taste of blood nausiates her after her time spent as a captive of Lux Flamma, and then her offspring, Reaper. Al also can't fully use her wings any longer, having had them crushed in a fall and repeatedly tweaked by Reaper to keep them from properly healing. They cause her some pain, but through a lot of therapy work, she's able to glide again.
A bit of History: Being the naive creature she was at a young age, Alarion was oblivious to the darker workings of the land. She didn't believe - or refused to believe - that there were truly dark and evil beings that roamed the world. It was because of this nature, that when a strange and fearless mare expressed a liking to her and spun her web of lies, that Alarion was coerced of her own free will to become a captive of Lux Flamma. But she absolutely did not believe that was what she was. Refused to believe it. And then she met one of the infamous mare's offspring.
Reaper was kind. He was big and seemed sort of silly, to her. But he flirted and tried to say nice things to her. She didn't see through the lies. Didn't really know why he was so interested in her. It was her faithful and loving familiar, Shalira, that saw right through the stallion. He was not a charmer! He just used that silver tongue of his to paint lies and reel you in. A killer. The fox familiar knew another predator when she saw it. And she tried desperately to get Al to see this. But the naive mare argued against her.
Until the accident. She and Reaper were on one of their many walks, the stallion in a huffy mood that day. Shalira tried, again, to get Al to see him for what he was. In a desperate act, Shalira attacked the stallion. He fought back, tired of the meddling she-fox. And there was a convenient cliff to toss her over... Al tried to save her familiar. But when she spread her wings, Reaper connected with one and the mare fell, crushing her wings as she tumbled down. While Reaper had hoped both familiar and mare might be taken care of, Al survived. But her wings wouldn't work properly.
And then things got worse. Al began to see what Shalira had tried to tell her. Reaper enjoyed her broken wings, which was unnerving to the mare. And slowly, oh so slowly, Al's world became shattered. She understood now that evil walked these lands. And not just those that were called 'Skinwalkers'.
The Present While Al continued to be tormented by her captors, she was unaware of the fact Shalira had survived. The she-fox had limped to safety until she was discovered by an unlikely pair. A mini mare named Shaden and her mate, Chimera. The two instantly rose to nurse the fox back to health. And after learning of, more or less, about Al's predicament, they agreed to help. Shaden and Shalira remained somewhere safe while Chimera broke into the herdlands Al was held on. There was a small scuffle between Chimera and Reaper, but the idiot serial killer didn't truly know how to fight. Chimera overpowered him long enough to get Al out of there.
Once freed, Al spent a couple months with the pair while they helped her begin her road to recovery. She was overjoyed to find Shalira still alive and vowed never to doubt the fox's wisdom again. And when the two were strong enough to travel, Al set out with the intent to find her father in mind. But she found someone else instead. A stallion she had met before. Had felt a connection with, though she'd not been able to name it that at the time. Jin-Soo offered her the sturdy rock she needed in her life again. And more than that, he offered her a true chance at love and a happiness she was afraid would never come.

Personality Blurb: A feisty thing at first glance, Dark Side is one of those individuals that lives life to its fullest. She doesn't let things bring her down often and greatly enjoys being a mother. To her, it is the greatest joy she has ever felt. A very loyal mare, she will protect her family fiercely. There is a warrior buried behind the pretty smile. A bit vain when it comes to her mane and tail, Dark Side will take great care in making sure they are clean and presentable in an effort to keep attention drawn away from her broken horn. However, since her lifemating to the love of her life, her horn does not bother her as much. She has also changed her view of Kalona's, being a little more open minded to the fact there are some good Kalona's out there. Just look at her mate and children! Extra: Already being a crossbreed to begin with, having her horn broken destroyed the small bit of healing ability she had. She is no longer able to use any healing abilities. This is due to a rare gene that runs in Sidi's family that causes the horn to be very fragile and much more easily broken. She is also able to achieve flight and is a fairly strong flier, however she can't quite reach the average altitude for a pure Wind Soquili. Like her Uni Soquili blood, her Wind half is dimmed down yet seems to remain the dominant of the two breeds.
A Bit of History The Half-Light herd was a decent sized herd made up of unicorn's and wind's. Perhaps not a typical pairing of soquili, but the elusive unicorn's that lived with the wind's enjoyed it. The wind's would watch and protect the skies while the uni's would take care of and protect the land. They were mostly transfixed with raising their foals and teaching them to be gentle creatures. They also enjoyed mingling their species and having children that expressed both traits of each species. As such, alicorns became part of the herd as well.
Avenged was a prominent wind mare, who prided herself in her ability to fly and teach others to fly as well. It was this pride and grace that caught the eye of Tantric, a uni stallion who was rumored to be the heir to the head of the herd. No one was completely surprised when the two became mates. They were a strong pair and many supported the decision to officially make the two the next in line to lead.
It was not very long after this that Avenged grew heavy with foals. Tantric was extremely proud and excited to be a father. When the foals emerged from their baskets, the two new parents found themselves with three alicorn children. It was perfect! They had traits from both sides of the family, with their two daughters - Dark Side and Burn - showing the most promise in their flying ability. Which made Avenged supremely proud. Their only son, Counting Crows, wanted to learn more about healing from his father. The season had been good to the herd and several of the mated pairs had healthy foals.
But it didn't last long before disaster struck the herd.
That horrible night was cool and relaxing. The herd was celebrating the coming of the new moon, a sign that another moon phase had passed and begun. Foals were allowed to stay up later that night, enjoying the small festivities. No one was sure why the Kalona attacked. It seemed to happen out of nowhere. Where uni, wind, and alicorn's were having a joyful time... suddenly all of it was replaced by panic, confusion, and chaos. Dark Side and her siblings were separated from their parents, the sisters getting knocked about until Burn tripped over Dark Side and her wing was trampled when she was stuck on the ground. Counting Stars and Dark Side tried to help her up, but the larger adults didn't look down. And then Dark Side spotted the Kalona walking their way. Before something heavy and hard hit her and the filly crashed to the ground, blacking out.
When Dark Side awoke... what she saw would haunt her for a long time. Her siblings hadn't made it. Her head throbbed horribly and a light blue portion of a uni horn lay beside Burn. Her horn. There as sobbing and someone or another calling desperately to find everyone. But Dark Side could only stare at what lay before her.
The mare blamed herself for the death of her siblings, and her parents never did anything to dissuade her. In fact, they seemed to withdraw into themselves and became distant. Tensions in the herd grew until finally, they split into two separate herds. One made up of uni's and what alicorn's wished to pursue the art of healing. The other of wind's and those wishing to learn the secrets of flying. Dark Side remained with her mother until she was old enough to leave. And she hasn't returned since.
Important info about Sidi's past that she doesn't remember Dark Side blames herself for Burn tripping over her and then waking to find her dead. She has since grown a loathing hatred of all Kalona. In her opinion, they should all disappear with the Skinwalker's. Because of them, she lost her siblings. Her horn was broken. And her family was divided.
But this is what SHE believes~
Ruin (permission given by Cherie to use Ruin!) was on the hunt for only a single member out of the Half-Light herd. He did not expect the panic and chaos to erupt when he arrived, though he was quite amused by it. All he cared about was finding his victim to make him his next meal.
When the herd caught sight of the Kalona, they lost all rational thought (most of the herd was younger with a lack of elders). They began trying their best to escape and avoid being the next 'victim'. In this blind panic, a stampede of sorts happened. Dark Side and her siblings were caught in the stampede of fleeing herd members, and being young foals, they were not able to come out of it without injury. And death. It was not Siddi that caused her siblings to die. Nor was it Ruin. But her own herd. It was this realization (there were a few other casualties within the herd), that began to draw the herd apart. They felt caring for a smaller sized herd would help prevent something like this tragedy from happening again.
To this day, Dark Side doesn't know. And Ruin was not blamed. And he never did get his meal.

Personality Blurb: Judgmental and a bit cold upon first meeting, Yuuka is a very independent mare. She doesn't mean to come off so cold, but she doesn't have time nor patience for anyone that acts a fool or 'foalish'. This doesn't mean she won't give someone a chance, just that you may have to work a bit harder to change her first impression of you. There is a sweet mare buried under her somewhat thorny exterior that was shut away when her family was slaughtered by a Skinwalker. She and her brother were the only two survivors and she had to take up the 'mother' figure, maturing much too quickly for such a young creature. Yuuka does crave company now and then, though she can never easily admit this. Yet she managed to let one silly stallion weasel his way into her heart and melt some of that frozen exterior. Now, she enjoys traveling with her mate and growing family. Extra: Having both Kirin and Unicorn blood in her, she is able to use her horn to heal to an extent (nothing near as powerful as a full blooded Uni) but also has learned the art of Acupressure and can heal or relieve stress in muscles. Yuuka also suffered a heavy loss when she was foal, her entire family being all but wiped out by a Skinwalker. She and her brother were the only two survivors, seeking shelter and safety from a small Kirin herd that had been a few days travel from their home.
Personality Blurb: Quite the little trickster, Teagan loves nothing more than to find the best ways to lead you astray, always giving you false information or weaving some tall tale. She doesn't outright 'lie', but you'll never get the full truth out of her. Teagan is a sly little gal with some brains to her. Not that she utilizes it in the most brilliant of ways. She really is a sweet thing at her core, if you get past the little demon she can be. Teagan would never do anything to harm anyone or send them on some dangerous quest. She just enjoys being difficult with information! Extra: Being a nixquilicorn, this little lady has several things mingling in her blood. She is able to hold her breath like the nixie, for unnaturally long periods of time. When on land, her step is very light but nothing quite as graceful as a quilin. Her healing ability, however, is lacking and the most she is able to 'heal' is minor scratches, unlike her minicorn brethren that can heal quite a bit more. She did acquire the minicorn 'blink' ability, and this seems to be her second strongest trait from her bloodlines.
Personality Blurb: A very playful and free spirit, Chroma adores brightly colored fauna that he can decorate either himself, his siblings, or even his mother with. It is his belief that having such magnificently bright colors on you, the sweet fragrance of the fauna wafting about your body, will allow you to relax and feel free. Usually when he's brooding over something or plotting some payback against someone that has wronged him or his brother. Kade is really the only one Bastian is decent to, though he still is quite the smartass. Bastian found himself drawn towards the manipulative dark mare, Lux Flamma and he became her minion instantly. Milli's got her mother's spunk and most of her brains with her father's sweet and goofy nature. She can be a little on the hyper side when in a good mood, most commonly found talking your ear off. When a little down, she's more likely to just cuddle up next to you. She loves to adventure and find new friends. Unlike her father, Milli is aware of her Kalona blood, though she doesn't argue against him. She doesn't care what she is or anyone else for that matter! Clearly, blood isn't that important because look how happy Sanguine is, right?! And Dark Side sure doesn't seem to care that her mate is a little on the strange side! Although she could count herself as a little strange too, since she can hear shadows whisper things to her every now and then, trying to get her to do or say things she'd rather not... and then the blackouts.
Where 'Milli' has a giddy outlook on everything, Veri is her opposite. She takes more after her Kalona blood, being more cold in nature. Really, you could just say she is a b***h. Veri uses her intelligence to her advantage to keep herself one hoof ahead of you. She prides herself in being better and how dare you think yourself worthy of her time! Unfortunately, Veri has learned she is not as strong as she wishes to be, and blacks out all too frequently when her other nature takes back the reigns. Extra: Recently, 'Veri' has begun to understand that these so called "blackouts" she undergoes is due to the other persona taking charge. 'Milli' hasn't quite figured this out, but she's on a mission to see what she can do about blackouts in general.
Personality Blurb: Appearing elegant and graceful on first glance, Cassi moves lightly like only a dancer could. Dancing is a passion to her. She enjoys the challenges of trying to mimic movements she's viewed the two-leggers doing before, circling around their fires, or in elation during a celebration. Cassi feels most alive when moving to the sounds of music, whether it be something someone is creating with instruments or the songs of birds! Especially night dancing. Cassiopeia adores the night. The way the stars shine, the moon smiles down upon the land, and shadows dance to their own ghostly step! She has become quite fond of learning to move like a shadow. It adds an enchanting aura to her dancing that gives Cassi more confidence in what she's doing.
When she's not dancing, Cassi can be a bit on the quiet side. However don't let the quiet fool you. She's a spirited mare. Just unsure of how to express that spirit. When dancing at night, she doesn't have to worry about anyone seeing her. But during the day? She feels a little awkward and tries not to draw too much attention to herself. Though this will lessen the more her confidence builds. And eventually, she'll enjoy just being herself, regardless of what anyone may think. Cassi still has a ways to go before she reaches this point, unfortunately. Only time will help her improve. Extra: When out under the moon and stars at night, the circular markings along her body will glow faintly. However during the day, they seem to lose their luminescence. Cassi is also able to heal very minor injuries such as a scraped knee or small cut due to the Uni blood that flows in her veins.
