~Open~ (Time: 10:15) Kat played with the edge of her dress absent mindedly, tracing the stiches that created a design, as she looked outside the window at the passing scenery. She glanced around with wide brown eyes to the driver of the van and then the officer and finally to one of her elder sisters. Kat’s poor mother had been hysterical when the option was given of her going to either Juvenile Hall or to a group home. Kat had of course chosen the group home, which had much better reviews than Juvi. She glanced down at her nails which have been filed down so much that she could see the tips of her fingers. They had done it at the hospital.
She couldn’t understand much of what had happened, but the psychologist that had visited her many times in the hospital said it was thanks to her ‘condition’. The woman hadn’t said what her condition was, but she knew it must be bad to be sent to a group home for therapy. The event that had forced her into this mess had originally started as a signal argument with a snooty girl named Jaline. Kat couldn’t even remember what they had been arguing about but she knew that Jaline had soon pushed her, knocking her over.
Kat knew she had quite a temper and so it was no surprise when her mind went blank and all she felt was rage at this girl who felt so entitled. Although, she had never so completely blanked out when angry before, the psychologist said it was nothing to worry about. All Kat knew was that when she came to, Jaline was laying on the ground with blood beneath her head, hair sticking straight up in the air, and little red branches going up her arms and neck. Kat had a few of the same red branches on her fingers and hands but they were quickly disappearing and were leaving silver lines instead. She sighed as she began to trace those instead, still tender. She got angry sometimes but had never seriously wanted to hurt anyone or even seriously thought of it, and so she didn’t know how something like that had escalated so quickly.
“Don’t be nervous.” Her sister pressed her hand over Kat’s and Kat looked up with a small smile. Kat was the youngest of a family of eight, and had three brothers and two sisters. Of the two, this one was her favorite and they had always been close. With such a big family, it was often that their parents couldn’t be with everyone and for as long as Kat could remember, this sister acted as a mother by always going to school events or being open to give advice. So when her mother had been too hysterical, and her father was stuck in Europe on business, it had been decided by the rest of her siblings that this sister would go with Kat to drop her off at the crazy house. “You’ll only have to be in there for a few months, and then you can come home.”
“Yeah.” Kat agreed, turning her hand upside down to give her sisters hand a squeeze. She didn’t know how she had caused these markings in both her and Jaline, especially since the markings were the kind that showed up when one was burned with electricity. She was happy she would be told what her condition was when she went to the home, as well as happy hearing the reviews about the home. They did not handle extreme cases apparently, and was supposed to be as normal feeling as possible. There wasn’t that large of a number of kids there, and not even the other kids would know your issue unless you told them. Kat couldn’t lie and say she wasn’t nervous though.
“We’re here.” The Officer said, opening the van door and motioning Kat to get out. He wasn’t really there to control her or something, but just to make sure she actually made it to the home. Kat took a deep breath and stepped outside of the van to look at her new home. The place was large, looking much like a home, and was a two story house. The front lawn was open but she could see a fence surrounding the back. There was no sign that said ‘Mental home’ or anything and she was glad it appeared so normal. She hoped the inside would be as well and grabbed her sister’s hand, following the cop as he walked towards the front door.

Luna Luna had heard that there would be a new arrival and was curious, but he decided to lay low and see where the day took him. He smiled quietly to himself, thinking of when he'd been forced here. All because of a little gift. He hadn't been sad when his Aunt and Uncle abandoned him, he truly only missed his mother. He blew his blonde hair away from his face and took a seat in the living room. I wonder what innocent accident got this girl in here, he wondered to himself, laughing at his own irony. Catatonic Schizophrenia. He mused.

Ari shifted in her seat, hating these too-small, poorly built school desks. Nothing made them comfortable. Not even the pillow she'd stolen from a different chair. Well, for the day they'd let her have it before realizing what she was sitting on. Then it had gone right back out to the rocking chair in the living room. She lifted her eyes from the anatomy book she was pouring over, for once glad she had managed to skip far enough ahead in the sciences to get to something fun and pertinent. It was far easier to heal someone when you knew where all the pieces were supposed to go.
Ari glanced at her wrist, flicking her eyes up to the teacher who was sitting at his desk, a book in hand while everyone worked on their own. The new girl should be here soon, and it'd only be a quick trip... She leaned back in the chair, moving her book so the bottom edge rested in her lap. She wouldn't fall over from this position and with her head down, it would look like she was reading. Ari closed her eyes, slowing her breathing and focusing on the energy at the center of her body. Gathering herself, she then stepped from her body, conscious of the faint howl of a coyote in the back of her mind. Perhaps her companion would be near, today. The shaman quickly made her way out of the room, arriving at the front room in time to see two girls and a cop approach the front door through the window. Just another minute or two and she'd go back to herself. She wanted to watch for now.
