Curious question If you wear black to a funeral, why would you to a wedding?

Because we all know that that's pretty much the end, baby.

Wouldn't it be funny if it were the same Wedding I have to attend early May? emotion_kirakira
*cackles err... emotion_yatta *
I would say go, find one person you can stand to talk to or interact with and just stick there all night. You don't need to be the social butterfly or even put on airs, luckily you will not be the focus - the rather plain bride will rofl
Just don't wear red - apparently that is a no-no.
I'm tempted to wear red... ninja But I own no red dress atm...
If all else fails find a corner to hide in with some noms yum_puddi yum_wasabipie yum_icecreampie

Actually, this bird's sis is getting married on the east coast, and that's where they're at right now. So, the rather plain fellow is goin' to pop the question. And HELL YEAH. I so wanna wear red if I go. twisted ...if I go, that is. ninja

...I wonder if you're going to THAT wedding. No wonder you didn't want to buy a dress for it. XD

Hit on the bride. Or her mother. Or both at the same time if you'd like to get out of more than just the wedding.

Hmn, the bride already hit on me. ...she's not my type. I have standards, y'know! *puts on dapper hat* ...now if this were in Skyrim... I'd bring the Wabbajack, and also happily wait for dragons or necromancers to randomly attack. cool

Moral Obligations
Discreetly find out the time that they have to give their final head count to the catering. I know for ours, it's 72 hours. About a day before the final headcount has to be announced, fall mysteriously 'ill'. It doesn't have to be anything crazy, just a head cold, or perhaps say it's a stomach virus because then you don't have to fake a stuffy nose.

Wish them well, send your husband to the wedding with the card, and chalk it up as a win.

Y'know, that was the strategy I was leaning towards the most.

Nirnroot? Where we're going, we don't need Nirnroot. emotion_dealwithit

Still, better safe than sorry. Red or green?

Y'know, Marriage ain't so bad. But the whole fairy tale wedding thing just doesn't do it for me. Like TES, I had a small wedding that was inexpensive and had great food. ^_^ It's no wonder there's "Bridezillas". Makes me wonder if back in the day there such things as "Bridezillas"?

Alright, then! Just give me a moment to find a horse that isn't dead, smoking and/or filled with arrows.

You're probably right, and it does make sense.

Is that even possible?!

If you don't find one, let's ride a mammoth or a giant.
