Of course Shik would see her screw up. Of course.

She hopped back lightly on her feet, wings spreading behind her so she could take the the air, hovering as she searched for an opening that she could attack. Casting a glance towards Shik, instead of scowling at him like she might have done, her lips instead quirked up into a mischevious smirk. "If that is the case, then perhaps I should no longer give you any."

His suggestion to just picture the titan with his face on it earned him a scoffing laugh, before she darted in, this time landing a quick slash against the insanity beasts hide before being pushed back again with a hit in return. "What do you know. It works." She let herself land back upon the ground, the fog swirling around her ankles as she glanced towards the others. Wait...was that Yves she spotted not far away? Ah, yes, so it was! She probably hadn't noticed him among the ranks because she'd been too busy inwardly fuming over Thera's comments. Oh well, time to give him a proper greeting right now!

With hardly a moments pause, the war chieftain bent down to scoop up a grey pebble from the ground, one that was smooth and round, then turned, bringing back her arm and whipping it forward as she sent the small stone spinning towards the executioner.

It was just her way of saying "hello".

Butt smacking and insults. This Thera certainly was an intriguing creature if nothing else. But her ability to pique his interest was not why he had joined this fight today. Mmur was ashamed to admit that ever since Hadan and his sister had been returned to him, he hadn't thought a lot of home, at least not consciously. They were his home, or at least they had been until... recently, and although he missed the sun and sand of the Isle of Famine, there was plenty of that to be had in Halloween, he just hadn't taken the time to find it.

Temporarily relinquishing his crystal and being given a glimpse of what had happened to the world he had once known was sobering. Today, he was here to help reclaim that world.

But first, he was going to stand around and stare at the weird insanity titan a little.

Whatever the creature's hide was made of, it seemed to render Yves' strike ineffective which served to displease the War Executioner greatly when he saw the end result with his own eyes. A miserable looking mark that could almost have been mistaken as an attempt on his part to engrave his name on the Insanity Titan itself. Scowling to himself, he raised the short sword to slash at the creature again, adding a little more force behind the momentum he already had going for him. Still pretty much status quo as evident by another similar mark barely intersecting the earlier one that he had made.

Backing away from the creature and barely escaping another of its spike attacks with a scrape on his forearm, he studied it intently again as the other Horsemen launched wave upon wave of attack against it, trying to see if he could pinpoint a specific weakness that he should focus his efforts on to. And that was when Shaheen's greeting hit him squarely on the back of his head.

"Ow..."

Rubbing absentmindedly at the spot, he dropped his gaze to the offending pebble, sparing it a scathing look before momentarily directing his efforts towards looking for his possible 'assailant'. Which didn't exactly take him long to find as his obviously irate look almost immediately gave way to a characteristically unamused one at the sight of the now Elder Chieftain, a brow lifting as he picked up the pebble and sent it sailing through the air towards Shikora who was not too far from her and seemed to not have picked up on his presence yet.

Well, that should just about remedy that.

What had she expected from eating the potato? Not much. Maybe filling up her physical hunger, but for some reason she felt…good. Like she good do anything. Like Jay had strength and power. The bluejay was pretty sure this wasn’t quite true, but at least she felt happier and felt like she could do a lot of useful things!

Her wings fluttered and she floated for a few seconds before coming right back down. Then she shook her head and lightly smacked her face. Now was the time to stop dilly dallying and actually help the other horsemen fight the titan. She could do this! Definitely! An excited Jay summoned her dagger and threw it at the titan.

And it spectacularly missed. She coughed surreptitiously and went to get back her weapon.

He'd always be there when you mess up, Shaheen. Think of it as being romantic instead of annoying.

But rather than get hit by the rock he had already assumed was heading his way, Shik caught it, spun with its momentum and threw it at the Insanity Titan.

"I might be able to get the hang of this teamwork thing," he noted casually, still as smug as ever against her threat. "All I hear are words, words, words, chieftain. You couldn't bare the thought.

Her stone found it's mark, and her smirk spread to a triumphant grin, though she turned back to the matter at hand before she could see Yves throw a rock in Shik's direction, or the display Shik made when he caught it and instead sent it towards the titan.

If she had seen it, she might have actually been impressed.

She could hear Shik's shouted banter but chose to keep her attention fixated on what they needed to be taking care of for the moment, lifting herself back into the air and drifting from side to side before beating large wings to take her higher above.

Bare it? If she wasn't trying so hard to concentrate she might have rolled her eyes. Instead she held up a hand as though to tell him to be quiet for a second, knowing full well that it would likely just spur him to be more of a nuisance, and waited for the best moment to strike.

When that moment came, she dove down from above, struck at the creature with her short sword, then peeled away, but not without feeling a slash against her wings that sent her careening to one side, hissing in pain, and landing a little roughly on the ground again.

"I would be fine. You're the one who wouldn't be able to bear it."

So punny, Shaheen. So awful, too. She was losing her edge.

Shik had actually been trying to refrain from such an awful pun gods damn it Shaheen.

But he was snickering anyway and used the stab he would have tried on her on the monster instead, satisfied with the crack it got.

"Very original."

The monster probably had similar humor tastes, because Shik got batted out of the air like a cat playing with a toy.

Hey, giant insanity monster thing. Shikoba was her's to beat up, not yours!

The war chieftain turned around, letting her wings spread out and stretch behind her with a bit of a wince, but refrained from checking over her shoulder at the damage that had been done before folding them in behind her. She preferred to fight from the air when she was able, but doing combat on her feet would work just as well until her Fear recovered enough.

Watching Shik get batted out of the air like a cat's toy, when he was meant to be her cat toy, was something Shaheen was not going to stand for. With a mighty warriors cry she ran across the ground towards the tighten, leaped in the air, and slammed her sword into it with a two handed grasp, teeth bared and clenched, eyes burning bright with golden light.

And just like that, it began to shatter, buffeting the woman with shards of grey that nicked and sliced shallow wounds against her darkly tanned skin. Stepping back and pulling her sword away, she cast a glance around until she spotted Shik again, her breathing heavy as she spoke, offering him a wry grin.

"How was that, darling? I think we're supposed to do that purifying thing now. Oh, and you're welcome."

Her tone was so sickeningly sweet it was gag worthy.

Yeah, what she said wait a minute -

Shik caught himself before he sprawled to the ground, making a hasty landing in time to watch Shaheen fell the monster. Grinning widely, he let his weapon fade back into Fear particles to check on the corpse of the damn thing to see if there was something salvageable for their first kill in this conquest.

But first he tossed his crystal out at it because stupid ******** titans ruining his s**t.

(( I think hold up probably did it wrong it's like 2am so if I did you can totally ignore me okay i'm just gonna go sleep =u= or if it's necessary, assume he used his crystal thing until i next come on ))

Shaheen was breathing rather heavily from exertion by the time she strolled her way up to where Shik was already dealing with the titan. Watching as he injected it with distortion, and seeing that it wasn't quite enough to do the job, she frowned and fished her own shard out as well before doing the same.

There. Done.

Now was there anything worth taking away from all of this...

Tseng was late. He had heard about this scouting party, but for one reason or another, he ended up sleeping in. He rushed as fast as he could to catch up with the group, using his mount for a part of the time. When he spotted the party up ahead, he flipped and leaped his way over.

"FEAR NOT! TSENG LEE OF CONQUEST IS HERE TO JOIN THE FIGHT!"

Of course, by now, the monster they fought was dead.

Shaheen bent down, brushing away grey dust with deft fingers, golden eyes almost seeming to glow. With the loss of her distortion charge, the whispers in her head began to intensify, especially aggravated just with her proximity to so much insanity all around. Within moments, however, she was straightening, placing some items in a pouch that was belted around her waist before waiting for the others, and for Thera to tell them it was time to move on.

She might have kicked a bit of grey dust in Shik's direction too. Somebody wanted attention.

He was hesitant to arrive. After all, the sight of the swirling grey fog only brought back memories and feelings the horseman wished he didn't have. But if it meant finding a cure to this curse, if it could restore their home, he was more than willing.

Kiwi clutched his sickle and chain in hand, and strode into the foray. It seemed one titan was down. But that barely lay a dent in the chaos all around him and the voices that rose to greet him as he stepped in their midst.

His grip on the handle tightened. This time, he wouldn't make the same mistake.

Mmur blinked at the elder horsemen of War as they felled the titan, their crystals subduing it after they'd all landed a strike. Or thought about landing a strike. Whatever.

Once it was down, he inched closer, his whip disappearing as he rooted through the remains of the creature. He was no Scavenger, but he did come away with... a thingy. It would surely be good for something.
