Still, as soon as she WAS up she darted forward, lunging at the thing and rather viciously tearing at it with full force, ignoring the fact it was trying once more to fling her off with it's tendrils.

Nope. Angry little fox was ANGRY.

Revenge was sweet!

She wasn't letting go, not at all. If anything, Simply did enjoy a good tussle of sorts. Moira might have overheard a little growling from the monster as she continued to kick at the vine as she clung to it and was smacked against the ground. It was more like watching a beast try to play fight with something her own size in a bit of a war than an actual werebeast duking it out.

...but it worked in the end. Because after a while the kicked it a few last times it sort of seemed to go a bit limp and left her laying against the ground with the last vine she'd been clinging to.

Right! "SEE SEE I GOT IT!" And with that she was rolling back over from being on her back and darting for the vine to climb. SHE HAD GNOMEKIND TO SAVE!

ALRIGHT! It was time to show the world how good she was at climbing! And that she was smart enough to wear short shorts under her dress for a reason!

And so with that the ghoul leapt at the vine and began digging her claws in for as much purchase as possible!

And made it look about as easy as possible. Twitchy vine? Nope she got this!

And she scaled some more, kicking one vine that threatened to try and trip her up, tail flicking idly back and forth as she scurried right on up the tree.

All those times she's fought with bark made working with something a bit more squishy so much easier!

No. Seriously. Simply WAS the climbing champion of champions. Like. Yea. Vines were not a problem for her at all. So with a few last final shakes ignored, she quickly reached the top. Or at least the part with the pods!

Yes, she was the best hero ever! "I WILL SAVE YOU LITTLE GNOMES!" She called, working to prepare herself with a good grasp she she could figure out how to choose a few. Because these things were nearly as big as she was.

And then she stared at the pods. Long and hard. As if she was actually really contemplating which gnomes to save.

...yeah. Right. Thinking about it.

Nope, it was finally noted that, well, she was actually working to recall where she'd put the sheers. "OH RIGHT!" And with that she tugged them back out from where she'd left them tucked into her sleeve and looked between the pods. And then, arbitrarily, she cut one before letting it drop down toward the teacher. "BOMBS AWAY~!" And then another. "LOOK OUT BELOW~!" It was easy to assume the calls continued as she chose three more random ones before finally tucking the sheers away once more.

Time to go back down, right? And so with that she released her tight grip just enough to begin sliding down the tree at a rather reckless speed, a loud gleeful laugh escaping her the entire way down. Apparently sneaking wasn't a specialty of her's. She did, thankfully, dig her claws in a bit about one fourth of the way from the bottom and leg a few long gashes in the vine as she slowed to a halt toward the base. Without the best calculation as she thumped against the ground rather roughly. "Oomph!"

And then she was looking up happily at the janitor, her smile as broad as her face. "I got the th- gnomey-pods!" She'd at least remembered they were potentially living things. "Oh and the clippies!" She added, tugging the sheers back out once more and holding them up.

Silence a moment. "So I saved the world with that, right?"

She did all the things. Because THINGS!

"You did it, spookie!" Moira engulfed Simply in a somewhat awkward hug, then pulled away and tapped at the pods. "Hmm... these two are a little... but these two are good, and this one is okay..." She sounded like she was talking to herself.

Then she turned and beamed at Simply. "Thank you! Oh, and uhm... you pass! Congratulations!"

HUGS WERE ALWAYS WELCOME! And so Moira got a full on squeeze of a hug back, headcrabs ignored entirely. They could have hugs too if they wanted and didn't bite(much). Though she did listen as her work of saving the world was appraised. Even if she didn't understand what was wrong with some of them. "Did they hit the floor?" She chimed, still bouncing a bit since she'd done well!

Sort of.

and then the final bit. "I PASSE-" Wait... wasn't she supposed to be saving the gnomes. OH WELL! "MAMA IS GOING TO BE EXCITED!" This was probably the first time she'd gotten a good grade since coming to school. It really was a miracle. "I SAVED THE GNOMIES!" And the world. Though thankfully the fact she'd 'passed' was an afterthought to Moira was entirely missed. Simply wasn't always the most attentive after all. What with the ever evident inkspot on her foot being fair example still.

"Yes!!" Moira beamed, then held out something small in her hand:
