"Yeah!" Helmut cheered for him, her tiny hands in the air as if they belonged there. When she tried to follow her own advice and swipe at him, she not only missed terribly, but actually ended up tripping over her own ill-fitted socks and falling face first into the ground.

"H-Helmut!" Xavier squeaked, and he immediately bent to try and help her up, tripped over her prone form, and wound up sprawled next to her instead.

Xavier tripped on her, and Helmut started to laugh - they were really, really bad at this. But now, at least, they were on even terms; they sucked, but they both sucked. Her laughter picked up in a high pitched squeal of delight, and she flailed around, grabbing one of his arms and biting him through his sleeve, pushing at him with her feet while she did it, not unlike a rowdy little feline.

Her laughter was somewhat contagious, and in spite of his own doubts and insecurities, a faint, hesitant smile found its way onto Xavier's face, his cheeks flushed a light red. Helmut squashed her teeth onto his arm and he squealed, half in amusement, half in surprise, struggling to free himself.

"I-I'm not food!" he said, laughing helplessly.

Helmut wasn't a fantastic listener when she was play fighting. Instead she bit him again while simultaneously trying to push him away with her feet, giggling into the fabric of his sleeve.

"Nooooooo!" Xavier said, pushing a hand into Helmut's giggling face, and now he was laughing alongside with her, and it felt nice, because it felt like he had friends.

Or at least friend, singular.

Helmut made a rather inhuman sputtering noise instead of giggles, as her nose squished against Xavier's open palm.

"He he he!" She heaved out, before falling into a fit of giggles so eagerly she actually snorted into his palm, which only made her laugh harder. She let go of his arm, but instead grabbed onto his wrist with both hands, trying to free her face.

Xavier gave a snort of laughter, but at least Helmut had stopped trying to chew through his sleeve now, her small hands on his wrist. He let her pull him away, but then he reached for her other arm, struggling to squash her beneath him.

"You are very stubborn," he giggled.

"AM NOT!" Helmut cried, still giggling like a fiend, even as he used his larger form against her to squish her down. She let out a squawk of surprise but insisted on flailing to try and stop it - a gesture that was both useless and tiring, as she couldn't move very well under him, but hey, at least she tried.

"You're h-heavy!" She laughed out, struggling against him.

"Stuuuuborn," Xavier said in a singsong voice, and he flopped on top of her with a smile, poking at her side with his hands in an attempt at maybe tickling her. "You are a stubborn ghoul and I am not heavy, I am Xavier."

Helmut let out a high pitched shriek and squirmed as much as she could, desperately trying to avoid his tickling fingers.

"LAAAAAaAaaaaaaamEEEEEEE!" The tiny ghoul cried out between hysterical laughter, trying to free her arms so she could push at his face.

He'd found her weak spot.

It was very liberating. Xavier dug his fingers into Helmut's side with a sort of relieved happiness, giggling all the while. She was pushing at his face, but he twisted it away, laughing helplessly.

"Not lame!" he insisted, though it was definitely lame.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Helmut cried out, breathlessly, as he took advantage of her one (of many) weaknesses. When she tried to push him away this time, she accidentally scratched him, but alas didn't notice among all the flailing, giggling, squirming and screaming.

"LEGGooooOOOOooo!" She gasped out desperately trying to claw her way free.

Xavier let out a squeal, but it hadn't really hurt; he rolled sideways off of Helmut and rubbed at his face, but his arms went around her and he squeezed in a hug, smushing his face against the back of her head.

"Nooooope," he giggled, "You said you wanted to be friends, and now we are friends."

Helmut took the opportunity to draw in as deep a breath as she could manage, and attempted to escape now that his weight was off of her - she got all of half a roll away when she felt his arms circle her, and his head nuzzle the back of hers. Thankfully, her helmet had fallen away a long time ago, leaving him to nuzzle a messy nest of soft white hair.

She lay still for all of five seconds, doing her best impression of a ragdoll on the ground.

"I REGRET NOTHING!" She cried out, finally, and went right back to squirming and flailing, trying to get any of her limbs on him in an attempt to push him away. "Featherhead!" She added, for good measure.
