As Mirai made her way in the door she tried to act normal like she wasn't late. She walked into the kitchen and looked at the floor as it was covered with broken glass. She looked up and saw her father leaning on the counter. Right away she was being yelled at about being late, then the topic changed to her lack in money for the bill.She was pushed down and got cuts from broken beer bottles.She stumbled into her room and looked into her mirror and noticed a cut along the side of her face and on the. She felt the tears stream down face.She crawled to her bed and began to realized how much she envyed Nicholas. She wanted to be free just like he was she thought to herself before falling asleep.

The music was bumping, the drinks were out, and the party was going hard! Nicholas was enjoying himself as usual, going to three parties throughout the night. He would have gone to another, but the cops decided to end the third one early, knowing he'd have to get out of there before they checked if he was drinking. As he walked home, his mind started to wander, soon thinking about Mirai and how scared she was. "Her parents must be so strict on her if she was scared to be late like that..." He mumbled to himself, walking up the front porch of his fine establishment. He could tell they were't home yet despite how late it actually was. "More all nighters at the office..." Unlocking the door, he made his way to his room, grabbing a set of clothes and showering, starting at the wall as the hot water pelted his skin. "Do her parents care about her that much to give her that tight of a leash? Is that even healthy?" He continued to mumble to himself through the shower, changing and heading back to his room. He thought he'd take the rest of the night to do watch some porn on his computer, but the realization of being tired actually hit him, Nicholas simply dropping down into his bed, out cold.

Mirai woke up early in the morning following the same routine as yesterday but before leaving she wrapped a bandage around neck to cover up the cut and put a bandaid over the cut on her face.As she walked to school she tried to think of an excuse to tell anyone who asked her what happened.As She walked into the class room the prepared early by putting the papers on everyones desk.
After everyone got into class and the bell rang Mirai sat in her seat and glanced around.As her gaze fell over Nicholas she quickly turned away and shook her head. Her fingers traced over the bandages on her neck assuming that he would be the first person to mention something.

For once Nick didn't have bags under his eyes or even try to sleep in class. What was even more off was Mirai. He immediately noticed her neck and cheek, seeing her turn away from him as there eyes met. He wanted to ask, see what excuse she'll pass for it, feeling like something bad happened because she was late yesterday.

As class continued, Nicholas continued to take glances at Mirai, staring at the bandages. It was like she was attacked, neck bandages usually not happening from an accident. The more he looked, the more he wanted the know the reason.

Mirai had to pass out some exam review packet. As she passed Nicholas she hesitatedly stopped looking at him for a second then passing out the rest of the papers.As she sat back down she couldn't help but stare at Nicholas. She didn't know why she was but she couldn't help it.
The class was quiet and for the first time she didn't bother doing her work. She had too much on her mind, she looked out the window then looked back the clock reminding her of yesterday. She shook her head getting the thought out of her head.

It was easy to ignore the packet Mirai was passing out, knowing he wasn't gonna even do it, but he couldn't ignore how she started staring at him. It wasn't an angry glare like usual, but just, staring. They looked at each other for what felt like forever until they broke it, both of their eyes wandering around to different things in the classroom. This was common for Nick, but for Mirai to be this spacey was just unheard of. He decided that he'd pay a visit to tutoring, wanting to know what the hell happened to her yesterday.

The class dragged on for what seemed like forever. Miari looked at the clock then minutes later the bell rang. She looked at the empty packet and sighed in disappointment of herself. She walked to the tutoring class thinking that it was just going to be another waste time.She stood near the window watching the people walking down the sidewalks and the student leaving school. She watched expecting to she Nicholas to be one of the many kids walking home.

When the bell rang, Nicholas made his way to the roof, wanting to have a smoke before going to the tutoring class to talk to Mirai. He sighed, still uneasy about how Mirai was acting today. Finishing up, he decided to finally go down and get some questions answered.

He opened the door, seeing Miari stare at the window, "Who are you trying to find down there?" He asked, giving her a grin.

I'm sure you didn't come to learn."She turned back around looking out the window."Dont bother asking I'm not going to one of your partys." She said assuming thats what he wanted.

He said with a laugh, then giving her a serious look. "I came to ask about your cheek and neck." He was being very serious, something Mirai had never seen from him before. "Cutting your cheek by accident is one thing and could be an excuse, but your neck as well? I've seen some crazy sh*t through my years of partying where something serious requires their whole neck to be covered like yours is..." He stood up, look right at her. She was scared, he could see it as plain as day. No one liked seeing Nicholas become serious at parties. He kills the party for how scary he can be. This was no exception. She watched as he blocked the door. "What are you doing!?!" She stumbled back against the wall in surprise. Then all of a sudden when he said try again all the feeling she had came out. She could feel the tears build up in her eyes, she looked down trying to hide her face from letting him see her like this. "I dont understand...Why do you even care!?! The only things that matters to you is partying and getting drunk."She snapped at him feeling the tears stream down her face.
