And that was it. Titus had no more ******** to give. He was fresh out. If he had rationed them better at the start maybe they would have been further along but as it stood he was done, staring at the reaper in his own frustration.

"You are a terrible student."

Even though Titus wasn't able to manage to teach her completely...he had done a very admirable job! Hel was truly a terrible student, but she'd blame it on him. At some point Hel had undone her braid and unraveled her hair, and then braided her hair again and put it up in a bun using some knitting needles. "Maybe you are a terrible teacher!" Hel shot back, though she was soon grinning. The reaper, probably still way too energetic for her own good (and a bit bored after all that knitting practice), leapt her feet and held out her hand.

Her spear formed, and she gave a twirl before she pointed it at the demon.

"But this is where it truly matters!" She exclaimed, her grin widening. "Battle me, Titus! Time to put that training to use!"  

[Inu-Mitsu]

Titus fumed and tossed the needles and yarn down by the bag. "You have the attention span of a goldfish, how am I supposed to work with that?"

He was on his feet as she stood and furrowed his brow as she suddenly drew her spear. His expression was torn for a moment until he finally grinned, now this was more to his liking. "Alright then."  

[Lucyal]

Hel's spear stopped twirling as she scowled. She pointed an accusing finger at Titus. "I do not have the attention span of a gold fish!" She was too busy defending her attention span to attack Titus...which may have been case in point.

Titus' grin grew all the more. "So defensive. Perhaps you know its true."

The boil leaped forward and aimed a swift jab at the reaper, though the height difference threw him off and he didn't put enough force behind it.

"So not true!" Hel exclaimed, and didn't flinch at all as Titus aimed to punch her. Since the demon was close, the reaper raised a foot and shoved it right into his gut. She aimed to push him back, since her weapon was best at mid-length.

"I think you protest to much. Ouf!" The kick to the gut sent him back a few feet. It was actually a little impressive Hel was able to kick that high. Or maybe he should have been glad she managed to get him in the gut instead of a bit lower.

He started to pool his fear into his wings but the focus just wasn't there. They flickered and stretched which was far from what he was hoping would happen. Now he knew how Riyo felt before. Damn.

The reaper brandished her spear, pausing a moment to gauge whether or not Titus' impending FEAR attack would be a problem. It wasn't. She had to grin. "Not at all!" She exclaimed, and twirled her spear once more as a spell circle appeared beneath her feet. As her FEAR was channeled, the power was amplified by her artifact. She pointed a finger at the demon, and unleashed her spell.

A large raven formed of magic shot forth from the spell circle at her feet and tore through the demon.

Okay Titus was prepared for a fight. HE WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS FIGHT. Hel had decided to bring out the big guns right off the bat and the poor boil was just now feeling better after his run in with the car. So much for that.

The raven hit him like a truck, sending the boil back several feet, falling backward and then tumbling head over heels. He finally came to a rolling stop dazed confused, and more than a little sore. "Ow...."

Grunting in pain Titus managed to roll over to his side, pushing his way up off the ground slowly. He at least wasn't going to go down without putting up some sort of fight. That would just be embarrassing.

As he stood his eyes went black, the darkness leaking from his sockets in a chaotic pattern down his cheeks. It was just a glimpse of his nightmare fiend form as he flew forward, the faces more prominently wailing through his wings. The gathered fear from the slight transformation seemed to be enough to boost his speed, gliding in and sweeping his claws at Hel in a fury.

Hel had to grin a bit. She never believed in taking it easy on anyone. Even if it was completely over kill.

The reaper's eyes narrowed though as Titus got back up and seemed to...woah. She'd never seen him do that before! She braced herself for impact, wondering where in Jack's name this side of Titus appeared from, as it was the first time for her to see it...well, aside from that one time his eyes went completely black when they were hazing that first year. While Titus landed some hits, it wasn't enough to make the reaper stagger, but since he was so close she didn't use her spear. Instead she made a fist and aimed for the gut when there was an opening.

The black vanished from his eyes shortly after his attack, his body nearly heaving as Hel made contact with his gut a second time. Jack she had good aim for a midget, didn't she?

He staggered back a little stunned, his body feeling weak as his old wounds began to flare up. This was just not his day.

Titus staggered back, and Hel held her position, watching the demon with a keen eye. Yeah, he definitely wasn't going to be able to hang in there much longer, but he definitely made a good effort! She was apparently feeling charitable, and didn't move in to finish him off yet.

Hel was waiting but he had no idea why. He was vulnerable at the moment, unable to truly defend himself but he decided to give that one last bit of effort and throw in another attack. It wasn't a strong hit, not like he needed it to be, but the demon managed to put enough force behind his fist to give Hel a decent blow.

Hel did want this to end on a good note for the demon, well...as good as it could, all things considered. He landed a pretty decent hit, and the reaper managed to show some restraint in her power as she parried. Instead of punching him right in the gut, she made sure to only graze his side, and once she delivered the hit, she dismissed her spear, and leapt back a bit from the demon.

The reaper straightened up and grinned, rolling her shoulders after the pleasant work out.

"And that concludes it!" She announced.

It was such a small attack but Titus was done, the hit to the side was all he needed to make him want to recoil before crouching to catch his breath. That had been an incredibly short battle and he was a little bit ashamed but Hel had also advanced much faster than he had at school. Perhaps he needed to work harder.

"I should hope so." Titus groaned a bit sitting back on his rear and leaning back, bracing himself up with his arms. "I can't say that I feel very accomplished." Truly he had failed all around between trying to teach her knitting and the battle. Hel was rather rough as a mentor but inwardly Titus couldn't deny that he hadn't learned something from it all. "So I guess that's that huh?" Did this mean he was officially free of her mentorship?
