Kari gave a soft smile to the bear ghoul. "No problem. As my mom always said, 'do unto others'," she replied, feeling a bit sheepish about the bones, "I certainly hope it's not a sign. I want nothing to do with whatever made those bone containers. And please no more bath time," groaned the reaper, a withering look being thrown towards the cheshire cat at the though of more ice water as he fell into the vat once more. At least he was enjoying it.

No soon were the words out of her mouth, one of the bones on the floor was sent flying via the ghoul's boot. She winced when the projectile connected with yet another container of bones, sending them clattering to the ground in the same deafening manner as the previous two instances.

"Jacking-!," she yelled in frustration before trying to regain her composure, "You know what? I'm just going to leave the room before I run into something else."

Having said her piece, she stepped through the nearest doorway that led her away from the kitchen so she wouldn't cause any more noise. For now.

To bee fair stuffing was delicious and fun to chew on. And Carlos was still just mid kitten hood. It would take time for him to grow out of chewing on toys.... ok no, some cats never grew out of it. You were doomed maddie.

Carlos grinned and leaned forward to lick some chocolate off of Maddie's cheek. "You taste extra delicious today."

"Oh it is time to go?" he looked at Kira and then bounced out of the vat, landing and leaving chocolate foot prints as he followed along to the next room.

It seemed Kari had now arrived in a dusty library. She glanced nervously at the cobwebs lining the corners of the shelves and ceiling, hoping that nothing of the eight-legged nature called them home.

A pair of footsteps behind her signaled the arrival of her other two companions, though the sound of them didn't match what she would normally hear. Both sounded sticky. Judging by the chocolate footprints behind Carlos and Maddie, the pair had gotten a parting dunk from the kitchen.

"Well, at least chocolate tastes good," the reaper chuckled. Returning her attention to the library, Kari began wandering the shelves. When a book caught her eye, she reached for it. She had to stand on her tip toes, but she eventually got it.

"I wonder...!"

No sooner had she opened the book, she slammed it shut once more, a bright blush lighting up her face. What was this doing in a public library?! The ghoul hadn't even known creeple could do that!

Setting the book down quickly and quietly, Kari hurried off to try to find a way out of the room.

"Yes chocolate tastes good!" Carlos followed after grooming himself. It seemed they were leaving Maddie behind. Good! leave the madness behind. It was a good place for it. Carlos might be sticky but his fur tasted delicious. Bathing never tasted so good.

Then he heard a slam.

Carlos tried to keep over Kari's shoulder. "What was that? Let me see. Let me see!"

Carlos wants to see the book.

"No! It's not something we should be looking at!" Kari blushed even harder at the bear ghoul's taunting. "I most certainly am not!," she denied vehemently, her hair swishing from side-to-side.

She was so focused on her denial that she accidentally knocked another book over. Lo and behold, it was one that sent Kari clamoring to shut it as quickly as possible, before the cat boil could sneak a peak. At least Maddie had managed to find a way out.

"What kind of library is this?!," the reaper pondered, setting the book back on the shelf.

"Is it?" Carlos looked at Maddie and then started to look a little green, his face took on a more bluish tin than usual and then Carlos started to moan a bit. "I don't feel so good. Like a flipper flap crawled down my throat."

He moaned again sounding more ghostly than usual and crawled off to find a corner. Hacking could be heard from his corner as the Cheshire cat threw up the chocolate along with a good bit of fur.

Carlos lost all interest in the book at least even if he currently sounded miserable. Carlos didn't realize Maddie had escaped the library in his moment of pain.

Hearing the sound of moaning and hacking, Kari turned to see the cheshire cat had crawled off into a corner and began expelling the contents of his stomach. "Oh Jack," she gasped, running over to pat him on the back while avoiding the pool of chocolate vomit and hair spreading across the floor.

This didn't look good at all. Carlos looked like he was in no condition to find the trigger to open the door. She had to try to find a way out for them. Thinking hard, Kari tried to remember what Maddie had done. She'd picked out... this book... then this... and this?... she'd messed with that book as well... then that one... and...?

With an ominous creak, the door the bear ghoul had passed through earlier creaked open. "I found the trigger to open the door, let's go!," she called out to the boil in hopes that he could follow.

Carlos looked up when Kira called him starting to feel slightly better. Wait nope.

Everyone was gone and he as all alone... and barf. Ok still sick. He moaned on the floor.

Carlos curled on the floor and did nothing.

Carlos finally got up and floated through the door Kira had opened, feeling slightly better.

He was still covered in Chocolate though. "Carry me." he whined loudly.

Seeing the ghost boil had finally made it into the room, Kari walked over and pulled him up carefully, bringing him closer to the center of... the bedroom? There was a single dingy bed, a broken-down nightstand, and other a single door on the other side of the room, nothing else. Was the door what they needed to advance?

Setting Carlos on the bed, she was silently thankful that it supported his weight. Taking out her staff once more, Kari turned back to the door and moved towards it, each step causing a creaking noise to echo through the room. A cursory jiggle of the handle proved the door was locked. That wasn't too surprising. Nothing here was that simple. Stepping back a few feet, Kari pointed her staff at the door and concentrated her magic on the flame-esque tip. Not taking heed of the other's reactions, the reaper let out a burst of flame from her staff, attempting to melt the doorknob off. Her eyes widened as the fire extinguished itself just before it reached the knob. Was there a special barrier on this door that nullified fear attacks?

"I guess this means fear attacks won't do anything to the door... anyone have a lockpick?," the ghoul sighed before turning to the other two individuals in the room. Guess they would have to unlock it the old-fashioned way.
