[PRP] Friends, Not Food — Wrex/Damaris

A spike of terror shot through her as Wrex's teeth caught her fingers and a reflex in drawing her outstretched hand to her chest.. Not enough to cause pain but enough to give her a little bit of a fright. Wide eyes softened a bit as she realized it hadn't mean't to attempt a 'taste' of her. At least, she hoped...

But the show of expression that passed across the boil's face was... Intriguing. A clear, blank stare settled over her features are she took in one face after another. By the end of it and the declaration of her food choice, she couldn't help but smile and chuckle with her hand covering her mouth. Damaris continued to smile as she reached for her napkin and lightly wiped off Wrex's hand of the berry juice.

"Sorry, I shouldn't laugh. But the faces you made were a little funny." More than a little but she didn't want to say it out loud in case she offended the other.

"Though I do suppose our choice in food are pretty different. I'll make up for it and get you another tray cause you really shouldn't eat the plates when there are better things to eat." The deer ghoul smiled before gathering their trays, depositing them near the trash areas and going through the line once more, grabbing herself a sort of cake-looking delight and grabbing more of the meat-stuff she had seen Wrex grab when they had gone through on their first trip.

She didn't load it up as much as he had since she highly doubted she would have been able to make it back to their table with it. But she did the best she could.

Funny probably should have been an insult--after all, he'd been sent here to learn how to be less funny and more terrifying. And Wrex knew he shouldn't have let what his clan would have called prey dictate what he could and couldn't eat of all things. But instead of snapping at Damaris for either, he merely blinked and sat on the table, tail hanging off the side and twitching, watching as she loaded up on more food.

He licked his lips and clicked his claws against the table in anticipation as she drew near. It didn't occur to him, however, that Damaris had meant to get herself food as well, and so the second he was in reach (inching inching and inching closer to the edge of the table, as much as he dared), he lashed out and bit down on the tray, intending to rip it from her hands and go to town on the meats and sweets all at once.

Gratefully, of course.

Well, at least she had gotten to see how delicious her dessert would have been.

Upon arriving at the table she had been seated at with her carnivorous friend, he had promptly ripped the tray from her grasp and began devouring the many meats she had piled on for him... And her small ice cream dessert.

"A-ah.. Ummm... That's ok... Just don't eat it too fast." Damaris's hands were frozen out in front of her before she latched her hands behind her back, eyes downcast as she returned to her seat.

The deer ghoul had been looking forward to her dessert but she also didn't fancy loosing any fingers or a hand. Damaris had barely met this boil and, even though she was fairly certain that he wouldn't hurt her, she wasn't sure about later when she was out of the eyes of others... She would like to hope that nothing would happen to her.

But she never knew.

She looked up through her lashes, watching as Wrex enjoyed the food. She hoped he was at least enjoying his food...

At least she didn't have to wait long; Wrex devoured the second helpings and dessert about as quickly as he had before, despite Damaris' warning. Surprisingly, though, he couldn't fit in the last bits of the mix, and he pulled back, face meshed with his good work, and began to clean it off with his tongue and hands.

Well, at least she still had a little left, right?

"Good ghoul," Wrex crooned as he cleaned himself. "Like you. Nosy, but like."

Nosy?

Had she really been? Maybe... Damaris wasn't sure if her type of 'nosy' was the same as what Wrex thought it was. Wait... He liked her? He didn't think she was annoying?

A little smile crept up on her face. "Umm... Thank you. I suppose I like you too... I-in a friendly way, of course!" She didn't want the only friend she had to get the wrong idea, even with the light pink tint coloring her cheeks.

It was definitely great that she had met someone from the village. She knew that she had a family member enrolled here which had seemed to be the nail in the coffin, so to speak, for their decision of sending her. She had yet to find her cousin but she could do that later.

At the moment, she had spotted a forgotten cherry that was still among the remains of Wrex's meal that was calling out to her. She remember how he hadn't exactly liked fruit so she decided he probably wouldn't mind. The deer ghoul plucked the cherry from the tray and popped it into her mouth.

A delightful smile lit up her face at the sweet taste crossing over her palette. Cherries were definitely up on her favorite foods now! They were rare to get back home so this was a wonderful surprise to see them in abundance here.
