It's quite possible there's a few lava tubes that lead into the water and have a cavern on the other end. owob

I don't think I have anyone who would fit in this herd currently, but I am definitely keeping an eye on this! However, would this be something along the lines of where the herd would live? Volcanic Islands <-- 2 different pictures that might could be combined maybe...?

 I think I might have my girl join! Her name is Hyela Bonesinger. I think she will dwell far from others, maybe in a cave or something hidden in the high mountainside. She will be rather predatory, but not evil, but won't shirk attacking a weakling for a morsel of fresh flesh. I think she will be akin to a voodoo woman or black witch, selling hexes, potions and tell your future.... for a cost.

I'm very interested in having my gal join or plot with this herd!
I'm still working on specifics and a name, but she'll be some kind of light-witch. Her element is Light despite her coloration/herd, and may be an outcast, like one would treat a dark witch in a 'normal' situation.
She would worship the moon, the stars, and anything bioluminescent (fireflies, etc): anything that would glow or produce light in the darkness without the aid of fire or electricity.
She wouldn't be evil, but perhaps a touch misunderstood. She would still revere the night, specifically the 'light' that thrives in it.
