History
Colonel was originally brought to Kawani lands by settlers from across the sea. He escaped his master and was eventually caught by a Kawani former warrior named Niyol. The two spent many years together - he helped the crippled man work through lamenting his injuries and heal somewhat. The stallion fell in love with a local mare, they remained together for years and started a family. Everything was well until she disappeared. After that he went on and raised his daughter and his grandfoals once she had grown and started her own family. Years later Niyol passed away and Colonel went off on his own after that. From then on he has continued to travel.

She is a very bright, cheerful and adventurous mare thanks to spending most of years traveling around with her father. Most of the time she is very open and friendly, but she will withdraw a little if she isn't quite sure how to handle you - better safe than sorry.
History
Leilani's history starts with her parents- Colonel & Daisy. Her father raised her alone, so she has very few memories of her mother. Other than that aspect her childhood was pretty normal. Most of it was spent adventuring with her father. She came of age and fell in love with her first real friend. They had two children together- Avery and Allegro. Soon after that they parted ways. In the years afterward she did her best to raise her son and get back into the swing of life.

Good natured, charming and curious as he always has been. But he's matured a lot in recent years and become a bit of a Dad friend.
History: Unedited story dump--
In his mind he mostly raised himself (or was looked after by his grandfather) and his mother never told him why until much later. Eventually he came to understand and forgave her. (His mother was pregnant very young and the stallion, who was supposed to be her friend, left her heartbroken and afraid so she was far more distant than she knows she should've been. Allegro didn't find out about this until a fair bit into his adulthood.)
Growing up he stuck his nose in a lot of things he probably shouldn't have . He got into heaps of trouble and didn't always have an easy time getting out of it. (I'm hoping to fill his young life in a bit more, since I didn't RP ponies as much in those years either.) Canonically so far he's pissed off and been chased down by a fair few kalona and things like that.
He flirted a lot when he was in between foal and adult too, playing at being older than he was, and in some ways unknowingly mirrored his father. The relationships were all brief and pretty innocent. (He also thought having a crush on another stallion was somehow strange?) Zuleikha was his first "adult" relationship - he started to fall in love and mostly she just saw a pet that she wanted to keep. She did do one good thing for him though, she got him to actually talk to his mother again and in time he forgave her. When Allegro started mentioning wanting a family with Zuleikha she balked at the idea at first but eventually she came around when she saw it as way she could keep them bound together. (cont)(edited) Unfortunately for her they never seemed to be able to conceive foals together. They even went to the Wishing Star together and still nothing. She grew bitter and frustrated, assuming it must've surely been his fault this wasn't working. They started to drift apart some. And the spirits of Valentine's caught Allegro wandering and pushed a little flutter mare into his path and they had foals right away. Allegro had come back with one of his sons thinking he and Zuleikha could raise the boy together and that's when she blew a gasket at him and left. (Truthfully, they weren't very good for each other but since she was Allegro's first love he really wanted it to work out.)
So he raised his boy with the rest of his family - his mother had given birth to his half siblings so they on and off grew up together. He's had time to rethink things and make peace with what happened - the power imbalance between (cont) them really wasn't healthy. So he'll be a lot more conscious of that if he's to try again. He's still very curious but a bit wiser for all that's happened to him. He's good natured and usually pretty charming. Behavior wise he's probably a bit dad friend-ish now (including bad jokes when appropriate.) He's just looking to rekindle some more passion in his life any form it wants to come around.
Romance wise he's pan and poly, but he likes the idea of being pretty much exclusively devoted to one or two partners. (Monogamy also isn't off the table for him, but it's a talk for him and any partner to have.)

Zule isn't evil, she is just better than you. It is a fact rather than matter of opinion. Surely you will get used to it if you wish to stay in her presence. Some would describe her as arrogant, even a bit catty at times. She is simply confident, aware of her very good lot in life and as such is quite sure of herself and knows how to use what she has to get what she wants. Which, as her lesser, you will certainly retrieve for her if she cannot get it herself. She will happily help pump up someone's ego, or knock it down, if it will get her what she has in mind.
History: Her personal strength, her self confidence, has been instilled in her almost from the time she emerged from her basket. It was the same with her siblings. Their mother wished them to grow up strong and be able to do well once they make their way into the world. As the siblings grew they each went their own separate ways mentally and physically- going down different paths in life. She took her mothers teachings to heart and a bit more literally than her siblings. While not necessarily a bad thing she finds that many here are much softer in their personal beliefs than others.

Irierath is a gentle giant literally - she is just as big, if not a big bigger, than a lot of stallions she has met. But don't let her size fool you into thinking the wrong things about her; she is incredibly warm, gentle and very good with children be they two legged or otherwise. Having spent much of her early life as a playmate and pseudo nanny to Kawani children, which has set her up to be pretty much the ideal babysitter if given the opportunity. Outside of that she enjoys the quiet life most of the time but occasionally longs for something more. Her sense of adventure is very small and shy at present and it would take some doing to get her out to explore more.
History: This painted mare was a springtime foal, the only one from a first breeding of two proud parents. She was born early, thanks to her size and the shamans had to make a special basket to keep her safe until she was ready to greet the world. When the time came to emerge out popped a healthy, cheerful foal. From the moment she was able to toddle around on her own she has been eager to make friends with anyone and everyone, even those she could not talk to. The village children were her favorite though, they would dress her up with feathers, jewelry and braid her mane. And that was how her life went for years, apart from her family growing from time to time as her parents had more foals. Once most of her two legger playmates had begun to grow up Irierath started to wonder occasionally at life beyond the village. She had gotten tastes of it when she and her friends had gone to play in the fields or the forest, but she was hesitant as much as curious to go out on her own.

Name: Jinan Meaning: "garden" or "paradise" in Arabic. -----
Being very open and pleasant, and far from shy, Jinan is a pleasure to be around. As a very glass half full sort of mare, there is (nearly) always a good side to a situation and she tries her best to find it. Particularly if it will brighten someone's day to do so. Her company is much like that of one's oldest friends - honest, comfortable, supportive and a bit playful. She also makes a good sounding board for problems, happy to listen so you can get things out of your head, even if she has only just met you.
She also enjoys singing, dancing and flying to see the world from above.
History: Jinan isn't from around here, the winds have carried her so far from home that she can do little more than offer a vague direction as to where it is. Maybe one of these days she will head back that way and find exactly where it is, but that day is not today. There is too much to see in this new place that the winds have seen fit to carry her to. So this is home, until she tires of it anyway.

Nirmala is graceful, elegant, very good at reading others and catering to their needs. Whatever they might be. The only hook is that you have to catch her interest first. While she is quite aware of her appearance - which she maintains very well - and her fine lineage, shallow flattery is not something she appreciates at all. She is a well reared, cultured mare of substance and looks for the same qualities in others. It may seem like a lot to catch a mare's eye but she has never heard any complaints about it not being worth it in the end once you manage to interest her.
History: Nirmala was the only female among three foals and thus quite special to her mother. She grew up very beautiful and bright, easily taking to the Maiden path.
