Why are they joining? Former swampie, Neoma was on her pilgrimage when the swamps were destroyed. Instead of finding where they had headed, she roamed the roguelands searching for her father, who she found resides in the Mwezi'Johari. To learn more about him, she thought it would be fun to stay.

Why are they joining? Taken from his mother as a cub, Marek [formerly known as Tu-Bana] was raised by a cruel father who taught him to fight and how to hate. Eventually, upon meeting Juno, he realised that his father had no real control of him and broke free. After this he began to wonder about the family he had lost and traced them to the Mwezi'johari. Arriving at the time of the civil war he joined Meshach's battle and has agreed to stay in the pride now that he knows family is here.

Why are they joining? Juno is an ex-Nergui who bumped into Marek a couple of years prior. She saw the good in him and stuck by his side until he broke free from his father's grasp. She accompanied him on his journey to discover who he was and is joining out of her love for him. They are inseparable.
