... and it hit. Agsilved managed to keep her scream muffled, quickly moving off to the side of the course, offering Meara a pained smile. "I'll be very happy when all this is over..."

"You and me both. I think by the end of this I might end up getting a phobia." She joked with a bit of a strained tone. Meara gave a sympathetic smile when Agsil joined her in getting patched up then when they were both at full health she gave the dragon a hug. "For good luck hopefully. Ready to try again?"

"Not really," Agsil sighed, slightly groaning as she returned the hug, leaning a bit of extra weight onto the other ghoul in clearly dramatic effect. "Can we just say we did and don't actually do it?" No? Really? Ugh. Fine. She followed Meara back onto the course and grit her teeth as she pushed herself off and back into the mess.

Meara had given a little laugh at Agsil's question then shook her head. "No, if we don't do it now then we will have to do it later. Though later might still be a better option..." She said before the left to be lightning rods once again. The first few steps she had taken onto the course had her getting hit again and her next steps were no better and she had to go right back to the beginning again.

Better was sounding like the best option. But they'd still have to struggle through it again. She groaned. Logically, she knew just getting it done now was the best bet but... If they could barely get past the starting line, what was the point?

The strike that got Meara almost got Agsil, though she managed to avoid some of it. "Jack's breath this is ridiculous," she hissed as Meara had to restart. Again Agsil felt the burn of a slight electrocution, but her temper wasn't any better for this.

She really, really hoped that they would have better luck soon because this was ridiculous. And if they couldn't make it then she would feel like such a failure for not being able to do it nor stick with it to the end. So she once again got right back into the course and once again got hit.

Another strike came, and once again, Agsil couldn't get out of the way fast enough. She was still standing, for now, and forced herself to run onwards. She was close, Jack why? Why was it so hard to finish this blasted thing?

Thankfully Meara was able to avoid getting hit the next little stretch but the finish line felt so far away from her.

Onwards and upwards. Her body was aching, her feet hurt, and she just wanted to fly but that would likely be even worse and attract more lightning...

Not that she seemed to need to be up high for that, as another one cracked through the air and struck her, resulting in a cursing Agsilved hitting the sidelines again to be patched up once more.

She could see Agsil in front of her and that was one thing that kept her going but her heart sank when the Dragon was forced to start again. Of course right after that, she got hit as well and had to go back to the starting line. Meara gave Agsil a tired, lopsided smile. "Round four million."

"Once this is done, we might need to have a word with some of the faculty and staff," Agsilved growled, even as she tried to offer Meara a small smile. She did reach out to give the other ghoul's shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Something feels off about this course."

But just like that, they were back on there.

"We just might, this is more then a little ridiculous." She said and put he hand over Agsil's. "This seems like it's almost rigged for us to lose." Meara gave a sigh when they had to start running again.

"It's definitely rigged against us in the worst way possible," she gritted before she'd started back on her newest attempt. Another strike crackled near her, but Agsil pushed forward, trying to keep her eyes on the prize, as it were.

"I'm pretty sure at this point they're just getting their kicks out of this." At least, that was the only assumption she could come up with at this point. Of course, that was about the time when another lightning bolt hit and she had to restart.
