In all the hustle and bustle, unfortunately an expected arrival of a delivery of candy was yet to be part of all the activity here. Then, her name caught her attention when exclaimed with a voice that rang with a sense of familiarity to her. Could it be, it is, isn't it, it must be who she thought it was, and it indeed it was, "Laran you are such a spooktacular sight!"
Whether or not Alpinely's voice could be heard or distinguished amidst everything transpiring right now at a notable pace was one matter. However, this was also another matter among quite an amount of other matters as well and which is: by the way Alpinely raised a cheery hand in an energetic wave to who she was greeting, it could have seemed if observed that she had momentarily forgotten all about the rest of the present circumstances.
Still, more developments proceeded to unfold rapidly. And as attentions began turning to and gathering in focus towards one in particular, Alpinely's followed. "What's, ummm, over there, that, humm, seems to be going over here to where we are; the, uh, candy, perhaps?"
Curiosity filled the vampire along with a growing alertness that was gradually heightening in her subconscious. If that was the expected candy delivery, how exactly was the candy being delivered??!!

Oh of that dust cloud, a vague, squarish shape seemed to emerge. As the students squinted at it, puzzling over what it might be, the mysteries object started to grow larger.
And then larger.
Until it became abundantly and abruptly clear that the thing they were looking at was a truck. A very rapidly approaching truck.
"Why...why is it going so fast?" Merry asked no one and everyone gathered, head tilting curiously as she watched the thing coming at them. Directly at them. "Oh Jack..." Her ears drooped, feathers bristling on her wings. "EVERYONE MOVE!," She shouted as the truck bore down on the small group of them.
Diving out of the way, Merry watched in horror and confusion as the truck--a delivery truck--took out the table she'd been standing at, and very nearly the entire knot of students as it barreled past them. And as it went, she could hear a frenzied, harassed voice call out the window, "They're your problem now, good luck!"
"Wha-"
A large bag smacked Merry in the face, knocking her right off her hooves. Inside, spilling all over the ground around them, the missing candy and grams that they'd been waiting for. As she got to her feet, Merry picked one up, and gave the retreating truck a disgruntled look. "What in Halloween is going on?"
Then she heard it, that same low rumbling, only instead of departing with the truck, it seemed to be getting closer. Merry dropped the ground as the dust cloud's source became clear to them. It was an entire herd of rampant, stampeding Bo-vines!
They wanted the candy!
OOC Well, it seemed the driver had tried to take a shortcut through farm country on his way to the school, only instead of shaving a few extra minutes from his already delayed time, he attracted the attention of an entire paddock of hungry Bo-vines! Now, those hungry heifers are your problem. You and the Student Council. You're gunna have to round them up. Catching the Bo-vine!There's a lot of them, 10 in all, and you're going to have to catch them all in before they manage to eat all the candy and grams. It won't be easy though, they're all riled up and ornery, and if you're not careful, you might get kicked!. Roll a 1d6, and rp out your results according to the prompts! 1. One of the rampaging beasts runs right past you, and you take that opportune chance to jump on the darn thing's back! Only, staying on isn't nearly as easy as it looks, and after a few rough bucks, you find yourself thrown back to the ground. Ouch! {Fail! -1 hp} 2. Just your luck, you spot one as it stops to nibble on some of the scattered candy. Somehow you manage to sneak right up the thing, and with a quick grab, you manage to catch a hold of it's bridle! {Success!!} 3. In your haste to grab for one of the slower moving Bo-vines, you manage to step on one of the grams, making it crinkle loudly, and the startled Mini snorts loudly before darting off again. {Fail!} 4. Here's your chance! It doesn't seem to be paying attention to you at all. All you gotta do in creep a little closer- OH! Ouch, that had to hurt... {Fail! -3hp} 5. Careful now, this one seems to have calmed down a little. At the very least, it's not glaring at you, not stopping it's hooves. It just looks a little curious. In a moment of genius, you reach down and pick up a handful of candy to hold out to the Bo-vine as an offering. After a moment, it gives a soft snort and trots over. {Success!} 6. Maybe you can startle one into submission? You give it a try, doing your best and scariest jump at one of the Bo-vines, but it doesn't work as you'd hoped. Instead of making the beast freeze, it moos angrily at you and charges. {Fail! -5 hp} Keep track of the collective bovine caught at the bottom of your posts! When they're all captured, the ORP will move onto the next phase!

Ekaterina stared in horror at the dustcloud, then dived out of the way of the truck JUST in time to avoid being hit. She shrieked at the driver "YOU DON'T TAKE SHORTCUTS THROUGH THE FIELDS FOR A REASON!" and stared at the rampaging herd heading straight for everyone. The Rusalka was tempted to just freaking flee, but she had offered to help, and this really needed dealing with, as soon as possible. She considered the situation, and headed for the herd, hoping to help deal with it.
She saw one that had split off to the side of the herd, and that it was eating some of the spilled candies. She smiled and began to move, quietly, up behind it. It took some careful maneuvering, and she had to go very slow, to make sure she did not accidentally step on a twig or something that would get the attention of the bo-vine.
She managed to sneak up close, and snagged it's bridle, along with some FEAR candies to help keep it calm, and lead it over to a fence, where she tied it up.
